P-N,N-dimethylaminobenzylidenemalononitrile (DBM) dye belongs to a class of organic compounds known as molecular rotors. Its optimized geometry and frontier molecular orbitals (FMOs), before and after ultraviolet (UV) irradiation, were obtained by DFT/B3LYP level with complete relaxation in the potential energy surface using 6-311++G(d,p) basis set. It is found that the length of C-C bonds of the DBM molecule increases after the UV irradiation, which leads to an increase in its dipole moment making it as a promising material for solar cell applications. Also, its HOMO-LUMO gap decreased from 3.46 to 3.34 eV. From the cyclic voltammetry measurements the value of HOMO-LUMO gap is equal to 3.21 eV. This means that B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) level of theory is the best one for calculations.  相似文献

Geometries and binding energies are predicted at B3LYP/6-311+G* level for the adenine–BX3 (X=F,Cl) systems and four conformers with no imaginary frequencies have been obtained for both adenine–BF3 and adenine–BCl3, respectively, and single energy calculations using much larger basis sets (6-311+G(2df,p)) and aug-cc-pVDZ were carried out as well. The most stable conformer is BF3 or BCl3 connected to N3 of adenine and with the stabilization energy of 22.55 or 20.59 kcal/mol at B3LYP/6-311+G* level (BSSE corrected). The analyses for the combining interaction between BX3 and adenine with natural bond orbital method (NBO) and the atom-in-molecules theory (AIM) have been performed. The results indicate that all the conformers were formed with σ–p type interactions between adenine and BX3, in which pyridine-type nitrogen or nitrogen atom of amino group offers its lone pair electron to the empty p orbital of boron atom and the concomitances of charge transference from adenine to BX3 were occurred. Frequency analysis suggested that the stretching vibration of BX3 underwent a red shift in complexes. Adenine–BF3 complex was more stable than adenine–BCl3 although the distance of B–N is shorter in the later.  相似文献

采用密度泛函理论方法在B3LYP/6-31G(d)水平上对吡啶二硫代酯与丁二烯的杂Diels-Alder反应的反应机理进行了理论计算研究, 并且也考虑了催化效应、溶剂化效应及取代基效应对反应机理和反应位垒的影响. 结果表明, 这些反应均以协同非同步的方式进行. 在大多数反应中, C—S键先于C—C键形成; 而在少数几个反应中, 则是C—C键先于C—S键形成. 催化剂和三甲基硅氧基取代基能通过改变反应物分子的前线轨道能级来降低反应的活化位垒. 溶剂只对涉及到离子物种的H催化反应的势能剖面有明显影响. 对于BF3催化的吡啶二硫代酯与1-三甲基硅氧基丁二烯的反应, 计算结果不仅正确预测了实验所发现的完全的区域选择性和较高的立体选择性, 而且表明这些结果很可能是由于在两个过渡态中存在C—H…F氢键相互作用造成的.  相似文献

Novel charge transfer (CT) complexes containing donor and acceptor derivatives of diphenyldiacetylene have been synthesised and characterised. The structure of CT complexes was modelled at the B3LYP/6-31G(d)//B3LYP/6-31G(d) level of theory. It was found that the complex formation is mainly due to dipole–dipole interaction between side groups of diacetylene molecules and there was no significant charge transfer between donor and acceptor in the ground state. On the other hand, optical excitation of CT complexes leads to strong charge transfer from donor to acceptor molecule as followed from the modelling using time-dependent density functional theory (DFT) method. Diacetylene molecules adopt strongly bent configuration in CT complexes which is prohibitive for solid-state topochemical polymerisation of diacetylenes  相似文献

Different geometries of nitromethane dimer and nitromethane trimer have been fully optimized employing the density functional theory B3LYP method and the 6-31++G** basis set. Three-body interaction energy has been obtained with the ab initio supermolecular approach at the levels of MP2/6-31++G**//B3LYP/6-31++G** and MP2/aug-cc-pVDZ//B3LYP/6-31++G**. The internal rotation of methyl group induced by intermolecular interaction has been observed theoretically. For the optimized structures of nitromethane dimer, the strength of C--H...O--N H-bond ranges from -9.0 to -12.4 kJ mol(-1) at the MP2/aug-cc-pVDZ//B3LYP/6-31++G** level, and the B3LYP method underestimates the interaction strength compared with the MP2 method, while MP2/6-31++G**//B3LYP/6-31++G** calculated DeltaE(C) is within 2.5 kJ mol(-1) of the corresponding value at the MP4(SDTQ)/6-31G**//B3LYP/6-31++G** level. The analytic atom-atom intermolecular potential has been successfully regressed by using the MP2/6-31++G**//B3LYP/6-31++G** calculated interaction energies of nitromethane dimer. For the optimized structures of nitromethane trimer the three-body interaction energies occupy small percentage of corresponding total binding energies, but become important for the compressed nitromethane explosive. In addition, it has been discovered that the three-body interaction energy in the cyclic nitromethane trimer is more and more negative as intermolecular distances decrease from 2.2 to 1.7 A.  相似文献

Experimental FTIR, FT-Raman and FT-NMR spectroscopic studies of o-fluoronitrobenzene and p-fluoronitrobenzene have been carried out. A detailed quantum chemical calculations have been performed using DFT/B3LYP method with 6-311++G** and 6-31G** basis sets. Complete vibrational analyses of the compounds were performed. The temperature dependence of thermodynamic properties has been analysed. The atomic charges, electronic exchange interaction and charge delocalisation of the molecule have been performed by natural bond orbital (NBO) analysis. Molecular electrostatic surface potential (MESP), total electron density distribution and frontier molecular orbitals (FMOs) are constructed at B3LYP/6-311++G** level to understand the electronic properties. The charge density distribution and site of chemical reactivity of the molecules have been obtained by mapping electron density isosurface with electrostatic potential surfaces (ESP). The electronic properties, HOMO and LUMO energies were measured by time-dependent TD-DFT approach. (1)H and (13)C NMR spectra were recorded and (1)H and (13)C nuclear magnetic resonance chemical shifts of the molecule were calculated. The (1)H and (13)C nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) chemical shifts of the molecules in chloroform solvent and in gas phase were calculated by using the Gauge-Independent Atomic Orbital (GIAO) method and are found to be in good agreement with experimental values. The theoretical parameters obtained at B3LYP levels have been compared with the experimental values.  相似文献

The properties, interactions, and reactions of cyclic water clusters (H(2)O)(n=1-5) on model systems for a graphite surface have been studied using pure B3LYP, dispersion-augmented density functional tight binding (DFTB-D), and integrated ONIOM(B3LYP:DFTB-D) methods. Coronene C(24)H(12) as well as polycircumcoronenes C(96)H(24) and C(216)H(36) in monolayer, bilayer, and trilayer arrangements were used as model systems to simulate ABA bulk graphite. Structures, binding energies, and vibrational frequencies of water clusters on mono- and bilayer graphite models have been calculated, and structural changes and frequency shifts due to the water cluster-graphite interactions are discussed. ONIOM(B3LYP:DFTB-D) with coronene and water in the high level and C(96)H(24) in the low level mimics the effect of extended graphite pi-conjugation on the water-graphite interaction very reasonably and suggests that water clusters only weakly interact with graphite surfaces, as suggested by the fact that water is an excellent graphite lubricant. We use the ONIOM(B3LYP:DFTB-D) method to predict rate constants for model pathways of water dissociative adsorption on graphite. Quantum chemical molecular dynamics (QM/MD) simulations of water clusters and water addition products on the C(96)H(24) graphite model are presented using the DFTB-D method. A three-stage strategy is devised for a priori investigations of high temperature corrosion processes of graphite surfaces due to interaction with water molecules and fragments.  相似文献

The molecular structure (equilibrium geometry) and binding energy of the dimethylzinc (DMZn)-hydrogen selenide (H2Se) adduct, (CH3)2Zn:SeH2, have been computed with ab initio molecular orbital and density functional theory (DFT) methods and, where possible, compared with experimental results. The structure of the precursors DMZn and H2Se are perturbed to only a small extent upon adduct formation. (CH3)2Zn:SeH2 was found to be 3 kcal mol−1 less stable than the precursors at the B3LYP/6-311 + G(2d,p)//B3LYP/6-311 + G(2d,p) level of computation, indicating that the (CH3)2Zn:SeH2 adduct is unlikely to be a stable gas-phase species under chemical vapour deposition conditions. Further calculations at the B3LYP/6-311 + G(2d,p)//B3LYP/6-311 + G(2d,p) level of computation suggest that the 1:2 adduct species, (CH3)2Zn:(SeH2)2, is much less stable than the 1:1 adduct and consequently the precursors by 19 kcal mol−1.  相似文献

The fluorescence excitation and dispersed fluorescence spectra of the open-ring isomer of 1,2-bis(3-methyl-2-thienyl)perfluorocyclopentene have been measured in a supersonic free jet. No vibronic structure has been observed in the excitation spectrum. The intensity of fluorescence gradually increases with the excitation energy in the 25,500–28,700 cm−1 region, indicating that the geometry of the molecule substantially changes upon photoexcitation. The dispersed fluorescence spectrum is anomaly Stokes-shifted with respect to the excitation energy, suggesting that the S2(1B) state is initially excited followed by rapid internal conversion from the S2(1B) to S1(2A) state. The fluorescence is due to the S1(2A)–S0(1A) transition. Density functional theory calculations at the B3LYP/6-31G** level have been carried out to investigate stable conformations responsible for the observed spectra.  相似文献

The mechanism, catalytic effect and substituent effect of the hetero-Diels-Alder reactions between phosphonodithioformate and butadienes have been investigated theoretically using density functional theory at the B3LYP/6-31G(d) level. The results show that all of these reactions proceed in a concerted but asynchronous way. In some reactions the formation of C-S bond is prior to that of C-C and opposite result is found in other reactions. The BF3 catalyst and trimethylsilyloxy group may lower the activation barriers by changing the energies of FMOs for reactant molecules. With the BF3-catalyzed reactions, the complete regioselectivity observed experimentally has well been reproduced by theoretical calculation and these results originate probably from blue-shifting C-H...F hydrogen bond interaction in some transition states.  相似文献

The Hartree-Fock and DFT/B3LYP methods have been employed to investigate the electronic structures of 1-ethy1-3-methyl-imidazolium cation(EMIM~ ),BF_4~-,PF_6~-,EMIM~ -BF_4~-,and EMIM~ -PF_6~- using the Gaussian-94 soft-package at 6-31 G(d,p)basis set level for hydrogen,carbon,nitrogen,boron, phosphorus,and fluorine atoms.Comparison of the electronic structures of the lowest energy of EMIM~ - BF_4~- and EMIM~ -PF_6~- pairs,and single EMIM~ ,BF_4~- and PF_6~- showed that the optimized EMIM~ -BF_4~- and EMIM~ -PF_6~- pair conformers were BF_4~- and PF_6~- outside the 5-ring plane between the ethyl group and the methyl group.The cohesion of C—H…F hydrogen bond between cation and anion is reinforced by charge assistance.The interaction energy between EMIM~ and PF_6~- is 328.8 kJ/mol at the B3LYP level and 326.6 kJ/mol at the Hartree-Fock level,whereas that between EMIM~ and BF_4~- is 353.5 kJ/mol at the B3LYP level and 350.5 kJ/mol at the Hartree-Fock level.The low energy interactions caused by bulky asymmetric EMIM~ ,and charge dispersion of cation and anion give rise to the low melting point of ionic liquid EMIM~ -BF_4~- and EMIM~ -PF_6~-.The two hydrogen bonding models of single hydrogen bond formation,and the hydrogen transfer between C_2 in EMIM~ and F in BF_4~- or PF_6~- were principally depicted.  相似文献

Transition structures for both uncatalyzed and BF3-catalyzed Diels-Alder reactions involving furan and methyl vinyl ketone have been determined at the hybrid DFT (B3LYP/6-31G*) level of theory. The transition structures are predicted to be relatively concerted and highly asynchronous in all cases. A subsequent bond-order analysis has been carried out at the MP2/6-31G*//B3LYP/6-31G*. The role of the Lewis acid and the origin of the endo selectivity have been discussed in terms of the nature and number of interactions present in the four possible transition structures. The partition of the potential energy barrier has also been used to estimate the contributions of the pure deformation energy and the differential interaction between the reaction partners on passing from the ground state to the saddle point. This analysis reveals that the major influence arises from the heterodiene-dienophile interaction instead of that corresponding to a BF3-dienophile interaction.  相似文献

Geometrical isomerization of fac-Mo(CO)3L3 (L = P(OPh)3, P(OMe)3, P(OEt)3) to the mer form and that of cis-Mo(CO)4L2 (L = P(OPh)3, P(OMe)3, PPh2(OMe)) to the trans form were observed in CH2Cl2 at room temperature in the presence of a catalytic amount of Me3SiOSO2CF3 (TMSOTf). Crossover experiments suggest that a ligand dissociation is not involved in the isomerization. A catalytic cycle involving an interaction of the silicon atom in Me3Si+ with one oxygen in P(OR)3 ligands has been proposed. The first isolation and the X-ray structure analysis were attained for mer-Mo(CO)3{P(OPh)3}3 through the TSMOTf-assisted isomerization of fac-Mo(CO)3{P(OPh)3}3.  相似文献

[H(DMSO)2][trans-RuCl4(DMSO)2] (1) reacts with 2,2′-bipyridine in ethanol at room temperature resulting in the formation of a major compound, mer-[RuCl3(DMSO)(bpy)] (bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine) 3 and a known minor compound, cis-[RuCl2(DMSO)4] (4). The compounds 3 and 4 are formed via an anticipated intermediate mer-[RuCl3(DMSO)3] (2). The reaction of 3 and mer-[RuCl3(TMSO)(bpy)] (5) with small molecules like imidazole, carbon monoxide and KSCN yield, mer-[RuCl3(bpy)(im)] · 2DMSO (im = imidazole) (6) and cis-[RuCl2(TMSO)(CO)(bpy)] (7), cis-[RuCl2(DMSO)(CO)(bpy)] (8) and K[RuCl3(bpy)(SCN)] (9), respectively. The formations of 3, 6 and 7 have been authenticated by single crystal structure determinations. Compound 6 is formed by the substitution of DMSO or TMSO from 3 and 5, respectively, whereas 7 and 8 are formed by unprecedented one-electron reductions of 5 and 3. The reactions of 3 and 5 with KSCN resulted in the same compound, K[RuCl3(NCS)(bpy)] (9). DFT calculations were performed to distinguish whether the thiocyanate ligand is bound to ruthenium through S or N. In the ruthenium bipyridine systems, the HOMO contains ruthenium d-orbitals and the LUMO is typically π*-orbitals of the bipyridine ring. Complexes 3, 6 and 7 are redox active in acetone and DMSO solvent showing prominent a reduction peak and corresponding oxidation peak.  相似文献

研究了二茂铁及其衍生物(甲酰二茂铁,乙酰二茂铁,甲醇二茂铁和乙酸二茂铁)的电化学行为,运用结构理论给出了二茂铁D5点群群轨道能级图与二茂铁衍生物的前线轨道能级图,得出在二茂铁分子结构中1e2(dx2-y2,dxy)与3a1(dz2,4s)分别属于分子前线轨道中的HOMO和LUMO。同时用密度泛函理论(DFT)在LANL2DZ基组水平上对其结构进行了全优化,得到了二茂铁及其衍生物前线最高被占轨道(HOMO)能量值,Fe原子净电荷,对其电化学行为与前线轨道能级相对大小进行了验证。  相似文献

Equilibrium geometry configurations of the mono-fluorinated derivatives of the meridianal isomer of tris(8-hydroxyquinolinato)aluminum (mer-Alq3) are calculated at the B3LYP/6-31G* level. The lowest singlet excited states (S 1) have been optimized by the singles configuration interaction (CIS/6-31G*) approach. The absorption and emission spectra were evaluated at the TD-PBE0/6-31G* level. A significant blue shift was predicted for tris(4-fluoro-8-hydroxyquinolinato)aluminum derivative (4FAlq3) while a significant red shift was observed for tris(5-fluoro-8-hydroxyquinolinato)aluminum (5FAlq3). Energy decomposition analysis has been performed at the B3LYP/DZP level. On the basis of energy decomposition analysis, we have explained the distribution pattern for frontier molecular orbitals. We have found that no contribution of improvement for intrinsic charge mobility for the mono-fluorine substituted mer-Alq3.  相似文献

采用含时密度泛函理论(TDDFT)与单激发组态相互作用(CIS)处理相结合的计算方案对香豆素系列15种已知荧光化合物的发射能进行了系统考察. 结果表明, 发射能与吸收能一样, 其计算值主要取决于交换-相关(XC)泛函的选择. 只要泛函选用得当, 在使用较小基组的TDDFT/6-31G(d)//CIS/3-21G(d)理论水平上即可使绝大部分化合物的实验发射能在精度达0.16 eV以内得以重现. 与吸收能计算不同的是, 无法选用单一的一种泛函来对全系列化合物的发射能作出满意的理论预测. 激发态无明显电荷转移的、7位上有氨(或胺)基取代或有氮原子相连的化合物, 其适用泛函为不含Hartree-Fock(HF)交换能的纯泛函OLYP和BLYP. 而激发态发生较大程度电荷转移的、3 位上有共轭取代基的衍生物, 其适用泛函则为含20%的HF交换成分的混合泛函B3LYP. 因此, 发射能计算中的XC泛函选择, 应同时考虑取代基团效应以及激发态的电子结构特征. 其中, 发射能计算值受XC泛函中HF交换能比例的影响十分敏感. 文中还对激发能计算中的溶剂效应校正方案和激发态几何优化精度的影响进行了讨论.  相似文献

The X-ray structure analysis of mer-trans-[Co(aepn)Cl2(OH2)](ClO4)·H2O (1) (aepn=N-(2-aminoethyl)-1,3-propanediamine) reveals that the compound crystallizes in an enantiomorphic space group P212121 implying a spontaneous resolution of its racemic solution, known as conglomerate crystallization. Substitutions of the two chloride ligands with bromides result in the isostructural compound mer-trans-[Co(aepn)Br2(OH2)](ClO4)·H2O (2), which also crystallizes as a conglomerate in the space group P212121. Meanwhile, a substitution of the coordinated OH2 of 1 with NH3 gives mer-trans-[Co(aepn)Cl2(NH3)](ClO4) (3), which crystallizes as a simple racemate in P21/n space group. When N-(3-aminopropyl)-1,3-propanediamine (dpt) is used instead of aepn in the preparation of 1, it gives racemic crystals of mer-trans-[Co(dpt)Cl2(OH2)](ClO4) (4) whose molecular packing pattern is identical to that of 3. In the conglomerate structures, the protons of coordinated water ligand are strongly hydrogen-bonded to the oxygen of a water of crystallization to form a spiral packing structures. In the packing structures of 3 and 4, two molecules of opposite chirality are brought together around a crystallographic center of inversion by hydrogen bonds of the protons of the corresponding tridentate amine ligand with oxygens of perchlorate anion.  相似文献
