A multistep synthesis of novel pyrene-based thiazole moiety been has been realized following some synthetic challenges and complications. The chemical structure of the synthesized compound has been established on the basis of both spectroscopic and analytical tools. Its nucleophilic reactivity with 4,6-dinitrobenzofuroxan (DNBF) has been successfully studied in solution. A kinetic study of the covalent electrophile/nucleophile combination of dinitrobenzofuroxan (DNBF, electrophile) and 4-(pyren-1-yl)thiazol-2-amine (nucleophile) resulting in the formation of the corresponding σ-adduct in solution is reported. The rate constant (k1) of the second-order relating to the CC bond forming step of this complexation process has been found to fit into the linear correlation log k = sN (N + E), thereby permitting the evaluation of the nucleophilicity parameter (N) of the 4-(pyren-1-yl)thiazol-2-amine. 4-(Pyren-1-yl)thiazol-2-amine has been subsequently ranked according to its reactivity profile on the general nucleophilicity scale developed recently by Mayr et al., leading to an interesting and direct comparison over a large domain of π-, σ-, and n-nucleophiles.  相似文献

The reaction kinetics of 4,6-dinitrobenzofuroxan with five heterocyclic amines was investigated spectrophotometrically (UV–Vis) in acetonitrile at 20 °C. It was observed that the rate constants of these reactions increased as follows: 2-aminopyrimidine > 2-aminothiazole > 2-aminobenzothiazole > 5-amino-3,4-dimethylisoxazole > 2-amino-5-trifluoromethyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole. Further, second-order rate constants (k1) pertaining to the C–N and C–C bond forming step of these complexation processes fit to the three parameter equation log k (20 °C) = sN (N + E), allowing the determination of the nucleophilicity parameters (N) of the five heterocyclic amines. The heterocyclic amines were subsequently ranked on the comprehensive nucleophilicity scale defined by Mayr et al. (2003), providing a direct comparison of n-, π-, and σ-nucleophiles.  相似文献

Kinetic studies for the Michael‐type reactions of ethyl‐3‐(4′‐N,N‐dimethylaminophenyl)‐2‐(nonafluorobutane)sulfonylpro‐penoate 1 with 4‐X‐substituted anilines 2a–e (X = OCH3, CH3, H, F, and Cl) have been investigated in acetonitrile at 20°C. A quadratic dependence of the pseudo–first‐order rate constants (kobsd) versus [ 2a–e ] has been observed and has been interpreted in terms of a dimer nucleophile mechanism. The finding of a relatively large negative ρ value (?3.09) for the Hammett plot suggests that the intermediate ( I± ) is highly zwitterionic in nature. A linear correlation (r2 = 0.9989) between the Hammett's substituent constants σ and nucleophilicity parameters N of 4‐X‐substituted anilines in acetonitrile has been observed. The electrophilicity parameters E of the olefin 1 is evaluated, using the correlations σ versus N and log k versus σ and compared with the electrophilicities of analogously Michael acceptors.  相似文献

The reactions of quinuclidines with phenyl, 4-methylphenyl, and 4-chlorophenyl 2,4-dinitrophenyl carbonates are kinetically evaluated in aqueous solution. The Brønsted-type plots (log kN vs pKa of quinuclidinium ions) are linear. The magnitude of the slopes and validated theoretical scales of electrophilicity and nucleophilicity confirm the concerted nature of these reactions.  相似文献

Second‐order rate constants for the reactions of 2‐aryl‐4,6‐dinitrobenzotriazole 1‐oxides 1a‐d with some 4‐X‐substituted phenoxide ions 2a‐d (X = OCH3, H, Cl, and CN) have been measured in aqueous solution at 20°C. The pKa values for the σ‐complexation processes of a series of benzotriazole 1a‐d measured in water have been used to determine their electrophilicity parameters E according to the correlation E = –3.20 – 0.662 pKa (F. Terrier, S. Lakhdar, T. Boubaker, and R. Goumont, J Org Chem, 2005 , 70, 6242–6253). For these reactions, plots of log k versus the electrophilicity parameters E of the benzotriazoles 1a‐d were linear, allowing to derive the nucleophilicity parameters N and s for phenoxide ions as defined by the Mayr equation log k1 (20°C) = s (E + N) (H. Mayr, M. Patz. Angew Chem, Int Ed Engl 1994 , 33, 938–957). The N values are found to cover a range of nucleophilicity from 6.85 to 10.22, going from 4‐cyanophenoxide 2d for the least reactive ion to 4‐methoxyphenoxide 2a for the most reactive nucleophile. Good linear correlations were found between the nucleophilicity parameters N of phenoxide ions 2a‐d and the pKa values of their conjugate acids (N = –3.05 + 1.25 pKa) and the constants of the substituents X (N = 9.21 – 2.51).  相似文献

The kinetics of the reactions of 4-nitrobenzofurazane 1a , 4-nitrobenzothiadiazole 1b , and 4-nitrobenzoselenadiazole 1c with a series of 4-Y-substituted phenoxide anions 2a-e (Y = OMe, Me, H, Cl, and CN) in aqueous solution at 20°C were investigated photometrically. The derived second-order rate constants (k2) have been combined with the nucleophilicity parameters values of these series of anions 2a-e to determine the electrophilicity parameters E of electrophiles 1a-c according to the linear free-energy relationship (log k2)/s versus N. General reactivity of these electrophiles 1a-c is found to be fairly similar with E values ranging in −10.77 ± 0.61 < E < −7.53 ± 0.29. The comparison with structurally related neutral electron-deficient heteroaromatic and aromatic compounds revealed that 1a - c are more reactive than 1,3,5-trinitrobenzene, as benchmark aromatic electrophile used in nucleophilic addition or substitution processes. The rate constants for the reactions of 4-nitrobenzochalcogenadiazoles 1a-c with some other nucleophiles were measured and found to agree with those calculated from Mayr's equation. Finally, analysis of the rate data in terms of the Brønsted approach reveals that 1a-c exhibits especially low intrinsic reactivity in σ-adducts 3 forming reactions.  相似文献

From conductimetric measurements, the association constants KA of chlorides and nitrates in acetonitrile and of bromides in both acetonitrile and nitrobenzene were determined in the presence of various amounts of benzoic acids. From these data it was possible to determine the values of the complexation constants k 1 ? between the ligands and the anions. In both solvents linear relationships exist between log k1 and the Hammett σ parameters of the substituents. However, the values of both log k 2 ? for the unsubstituted benzoic acid and the correlation factors (η) are much lower in acetonitrile than in nitrobenzene. It is shown that this effect is due, to a large extent, to the complexation of the ligands by acetonitrile which competes with the ligandanion interaction. The η factors for the three anions lie in the order of their basicity in water.  相似文献

The present article deals with the synthesis of novel nano-sized fluorinated thiazoles and studying their anticancer potentiality. The targeted azoles could be accessed via trifluoro-methylated thiosemicarbazone (3) prepared by reaction of with thiosemicarbazide in acidic solution of ethanol. The latter a fluorinated building block (3) have been reacted with appropriate derivatives of a-halo compounds namely, N-aryl 2-oxopropane-hydrazonoyl chlorides 4a-f using dioxane containing TEA as base catalyst. Also, the reaction between N-(4-(1-(2-carbamothioylhydrazineylidene)ethyl)phenyl)-2,2,2-trifluoroacetamide (3) and chloroacetonitrile 8 under the same experimental conditions furnished the corresponding amino thiazole derivative 11. In the same manner the base catalyzed cyclocondensation reaction between N-(4-(1-(2-carbamothioylhydrazineylidene)ethyl)phenyl)-2,2,2-trifluoroacetamide (3) and phenacyl bromide derivatives 12a-d afforded the corresponding thiazoles 13a-d in good yield. The structure of all synthesized thiazole derivatives as well as their mechanistic pathways were studied based on spectral data analysis and physical characteristics. The nanosized products were confirmed by using XRD analysis. Moreover, twelve samples were submitted for evaluation of their cytotoxicity activities against MDA-MB-231 (breast cancer cell) using colorimetric MTT assay, in comparison with Cisplatin standard drug. Two nano-sized thiosemicarbazone derivative 3 and the thiazole derivative 7c showed potent activity with IC50 = 7.7 and 2.97 µg/ml, respectively in compared with the IC50 = 4.33 µg/ml of cisplatin. The nanosized thiazole derivative 7c was more potent than cisplatin. Also, two thiazole derivatives 13b and 7b showed good activity with IC50 = 13.4 and 14.9 µg/ml. In addition, the molecular docking studies have been achieved using 4hy0, (X-chromosome-linked- inhibitor of apoptosis protein; (XIAP)).  相似文献

The kinetics and mechanism of nucleophilic aromatic substitution reactions of 4‐chloro‐7‐nitrobenzofurazan 1 with 4‐X‐substituted anilines 2a–g (X = OH, OCH3, CH3, H, I, Cl, and CN) are investigated in a dimethyl sulfoxide (Me2SO) solution at 25°C. The Hammett plot of log k1 versus σ is nonlinear for all the anilines studied due to positive deviations of the electron‐donating substituents. However, the corresponding Yukawa–Tsuno plot resulted in a good linear correlation with σ+r (σ+?σ). The corresponding Brønsted‐type plot is also nonlinear, i.e., the slope (βnuc) changes from 1.60 to 0.56 as the basicity of anilines decreases. These results indicate a change in a mechanism from a polar SNAr process for less basic nucleophiles (X = I, Cl, and CN) to a single electron transfer for more basic nucleophiles (X = OH, OCH3, and CH3). The satisfactory log k1 versus Eo correlation obtained for the reactions of 1 with anilines 2a–d in the present system is consistent with the proposed mechanism. Interestingly, the βnuc = 1.60 value measured for 1 in Me2SO reflects one of the highest coefficients Brønsted ever observed for SNAr reactions. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Ten new monoazo disperse dyes (4aj) have been synthesized by coupling of diazotized 2-amino-4-(2′,4′-dichlorophenyl)-1,3 thiazole (2) with various N-alkyl derivatives of substituted aniline (3aj) and their dyeing performance on polyester fiber has been assessed. These dyes are characterized by elemental analysis, UV–vis spectra, IR and NMR spectroscopy. The absorption maxima (λmax) were recorded in DMF and were found to be in the range of 530–600 nm. The dyed polyester fabric showed fair to very good light fastness and very good to excellent washing and rubbing fastness properties with superior depth and levelness.  相似文献

Considering the importance of silylene ligands in transition metal-mediated catalytic reactions, we have scrutinized eight novel monodentate ( 1 – 4 ) and bidentate ( 1 - 4 ) derivatives of 2,5-diX-cyclopentasilylene-2,4-dienes (X = NH2, OH, PH2, and SH), at M06/6-311++G** level of theory. To probe the complexation ability of our scrutinized silylene ligands with Rh atom ( 1 Rh - 4 Rh and 1 Rh - 4 Rh , respectively), thermodynamic and structural parameters such as complexation energy (ΔECom), singlet-triplet energy gap (ΔEs-t), bond length, along with NBO and atoms in molecules analyses are provided. In going from less electron donating groups (EDGs) to more EDGs (NH2 > OH > PH2 > SH), the σ -donor strength and ligand flexibility increase. Structures 1 and 1 turn out as the most nucleophilic species for showing the highest nucleophilicity (N = 5.47 and 5.40 eV, respectively). Furthermore, they exhibit the highest proton affinity values (PA = 271.46 and 271.23 kcal/mol, respectively). The results indicate that bidentate coordination mode of silylene leads to a stronger Si-Rh complex. The overall orders of σ -donation ability for monodentate and bidentate silylene ligands are 1 > 2 > 3 > 4 and 1 > 2 > 3 > 4 , respectively.  相似文献

The kinetics of the coupling of N1‐methyl‐4‐nitro‐2,1,3 benzothiadiazolium tetrafluoroborate 1 with a series of 4‐X‐substituted anilines 2a–f (X = OH, OMe, Me, H, Cl, and CN) have been investigated in acetonitrile at 20°C. The second‐order rate constants result in a nonlinear Brönsted‐type plot. The Hammett plot is also nonlinear, whereas the Yukawa–Tsuno plot exhibits an excellent linear correlation with ρ = –1.62 and r = 1.44. The large Brönsted (βnuc = 1.24) and Hammett (ρ = –5.16) values suggest that the reactions proceed trough a single electron transfer mechanism. The finding of satisfactory correlation between the log k1 of the reactions and the oxidation potentials (E°) of anilines 2a–d supports this mechanism. On the other hand, electrophilicity parameter E of benzothiadiazolium cation 1 as defined by the correlation log k20°C = s(E + N) has been determined and compared with the electrophilic reactivities of a large variety of electrophiles.  相似文献

This article reports on the Lewis acidity of osmium tetroxide (OsO4), the most reliable reagent available for the cis-hydroxylation of alkenes. Three simple and straightforward scales, donor ability of N-donors, the Hammett reaction constant and the Electrostatic-Covalent model (ECW) were used for this purpose. Equilibrium constants (Keq) and enthalpies for the complexation of OsO4 with pyridine and its derivatives have been evaluated by spectrophotometeric measurements. The excellent linear relationships were observed between the equilibrium constants and either the pKa values of the N-donors or the Hammett σ constants of the substituents on the ligands. The slope of the plot of log Keq versus ligand’s pKa and the Hammett ρ value derived suggest the use of these parameters as an index of the Lewis acidity strength for OsO4. The enthalpies of complex formation of N-donors with OsO4 also fit the ECW model to predict the values of EA and CA parameters for OsO4 as 2.01 and 0.25 (kcal/mol)1/2, respectively. The parameters can be used to make an acidity scale for OsO4. These parameters also permit the chemists and biochemists to predict and correlate quantitatively the enthalpies of OsO4 · Lewis base interactions.  相似文献

Kinetic studies for the azo‐coupling reactions of 3‐ethoxythiophene 1 with a series of 4‐X‐substituted diazonium cations 2a‐e (X = OCH3, CH3, H, Cl, and NO2) have been investigated in acetonitrile at 20°C. The second‐order rate constants have been employed to determine the nucleophilicity parameters N and s of the thiophene 1 according the Mayr equation. Thus, the nucleophile‐specific parameters N and s of thiophene 1 have been derived and compared with the reactivities of other C‐nucleophiles in acetonitrile (pyrroles, furan, indoles, etc.). The Yukawa–Tsuno plot resulted in an excellent correlation (R2 = 0.9980) with an r value of 0.89, suggesting that the nonlinear Hammett plot observed in the present work is due to resonance demand of the π–electron donor substituent of on the –N2+ moiety. Importantly, using the concept of global electrophilicity (ω) proposed by Parr, we successfully predict the electrophilicity parameters E of seven substituted diazonium cations whose experimental data are available.  相似文献

Novel 2-amino-4-(aminomethyl)thiazole derivatives were designed and synthesized by a facile method including the Hantzsch construction of thiazole core followed by amidation and nucleophilic substitution steps. Bioassay results showed that 4-(tert-butyl)-N-[4-(piperazin-1-ylmethyl)thiazol-2-yl]-benzamide and 4-(tert-butyl)-N-{4-[(4-piperidinopiperidin-1-yl)methyl]thiazol-2-yl}benzamide possessed similar activities compared with 5-fluorouracil. The 4-piperidino-piperidin-1-yl-containing derivative also suppressed proliferation of cultured tumor cells by inducing apoptosis.  相似文献

The photochemical polymerization rates of isoprene, ethyl methacrylate, and of styrene in various aromatic solvents were measured. The average lifetimes of propagating radicals were measured by the rotating sector method. The polymerization rate constants, Kp, were determined and compared with dipole moments (μ) and Hammett σ constants for the aromatic solvents. Linear correlations of log(kp/kp, benzene) vs. μ and σ were obtained.  相似文献

The rate constants for the reaction of 2,6‐bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)‐4‐nitroanisole with some substituted anilines have been measured by spectrophotometric methods in methanol at various temperatures. The data are consistent with the SNAr mechanism. The effect of substituents on the rate of reaction has been examined. Good linear relationships were obtained from the plots of log k1 against Hammett σpara constants values at all temperature with negative ρ values (?1.68 to ?1.11). Activation parameters ΔH varied from 41.6 to 54.3 kJ mol?1 and ΔS from ?142.7 to ?114.6 J mol?1 K?1. The δΔH and δΔS reaction constants were determined from the dependence of ΔH and ΔS activation parameters on the σ substituent constants, by analogy with the Hammett equation. The second-order rate constants (k) for reaction of 7-chloro-4-nitrobenzofurazan 1 and 7-methoxy-4-nitrobenzofurazan 2 with a series of nitroalkyl anions and several of para-substituted phenoxide anions in aqueous solution at 20 °C have been reported. On the basis of the linear novel approach recently designed by Mayr and coworkers, the electrophilicity parameters E at the C-5 position of the two nitrobenzofurazans 1 and 2 have been quantified and ranked on the comprehensive electrophilicity scale. Mayr's approach was found to correctly predict the rate constants for the addition of phenoxide anions at the C-5 position of 1 and 2 witting a factor of <2. Analysis of the kinetic measurements using Brønsted's model shows that βnuc values remain remarkably constant for changes in the nature of the substituent and that the σ-complexation process is associated with high Marcus intrinsic barriers. In addition, satisfactory correlations between the log kexp (kexp values measured in this work for reactions of benzofurazans 1 and 2 with a series of phenoxide anions in aqueous solution at 20 °C) and log kcalcd (kcalcd values calculated from equation 1 using the electrophilicity parameters E of benzofurazans 1 and 2 and the previously published nucleophilicity parameters N and sN of the phenoxide anions) with a slope very close to unity have been obtained and discussed.  相似文献

The reaction of copper with benzyl chlorides in dipolar aprotic solvents has been investigated. The kinetic and thermodynamic parameters of the reaction of copper with benzyl chloride in dimethyl sulfoxide, dimethylacetamide, and hexamethylphosphoramide have been obtained. Hammett plots of log (k/k°) versus the substituent constant σ gave good correlation. The structure of the organic group has little effect on the rate of reaction of benzyl chloride with copper. The kinetic and thermodynamic parameters were correlated with donor number of solvent (DN).
