Composite material PANI/KIT-6, with polyaniline (PANI) chains encapsulated in the 3-D interconnected pore channels of mesoporous silica, KIT-6, has been synthesized via a gas-phase method. The composite formation and the presence of PANI inside the pore channels of KIT-6 were evidenced by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), small-angle X-ray scatter (SAXS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and N2 adsorption–desorption isotherms. The PANI/KIT-6 composite showed good electrical conductivity (2.4 × 10?3 S/cm) due to the formation of 3-D networks of PANI inside the 3-D interconnected channels of KIT-6. The resistance of PANI/KIT-6 composite at different relative humidities (RH) was investigated. An essentially linear relationship between the relative resistance of the composite and the relative humidity of the environment was found from 11.3% to 97.3% RH.  相似文献

Phosphate-based silver–bipyridine (Ag-bpy) 1D coordination polymer {[{Ag(4,4′-bpy)}2{Ag(4,4′-bpy)(H2PO4)}] ⋅ 2 H2PO4 ⋅ H3PO4 ⋅ 5 H2O}n ( 1 ) with free phosphoric acid (H3PO4), its conjugate base (H2PO4) and water molecules in its lattice was synthesized by room-temperature crystallization and the hydrothermal method. An XRD study showed that coordinated H2PO4, lattice H2PO4 anions, free H3PO4 and lattice water molecules are interconnected by H-bonding interactions, forming an infinitely extended 2D H-bonded network that facilitates proton transfer. This material exhibits a high proton conductivity of 3.3×10−3 S cm−1 at 80 °C and 95 % relative humidity (RH). Furthermore, synthesis of this material from commercially available starting materials in water can be easily scaled up, and it is highly stable under extreme conditions of conductivity measurements. This report inaugurates the usage and design principle of proton-conducting frameworks based on crystallized phosphoric acid and phosphate.  相似文献

A new class of proton‐conducting polymer was developed via the sol–gel process from amino‐containing organic–inorganic hybrids by the treatment of poly(allylamine) with 3‐glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane doped with ortho‐phosphoric acid. The polymer matrix contains many hydrophilic sites and consists of a double‐crosslinked framework of polysiloxane and amine/epoxide. Differential scanning calorimetry results suggest that hydrogen bonding or electrostatic forces are present between H3PO4 and the amine nitrogen, resulting in an increase in the glass‐transition temperature of the poly(allylamine) chain with an increasing P/N ratio. The 31P magic‐angle spinning NMR spectra indicate that three types of phosphate species are involved in the proton conduction, and the motional freedom of H3PO4 is increased with increasing P/N ratios. The conductivity above 80 °C does not drop off but increases instead. Under a dry atmosphere, a high conductivity of 10?3 S/cm at temperatures up to 130 °C has been achieved. The maximum activation energy obtained at P/N = 0.5 suggests that a transition of proton‐conducting behavior exits between Grotthus‐ and vehicle‐type mechanisms. The dependence of conductivity on relative humidity (RH) above 50% is smaller for H3PO4‐doped membranes compared with H3PO4‐free ones. These hybrid polymers have characteristics of low water content (23 wt %) and high conductivity (10?2 S/cm at 95% RH), making them promising candidates as electrolytes for fuel cells. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Humidity sensors are in high demand for many applications, such as environmental monitoring and air and food quality control. Despite many inorganic and organic materials exhibit moisture sensing properties, the electrical response of many existing sensors is not stable along the time. Polyantimonic acid (PAA) is characterized by elevated proton conductivity and by high thermal stability: consequently, it is seen as promising proton conductor for usage in humidity sensing devices. In this work, for the first time, PAA-based bulk solid membranes were produced and tested as potential materials for relative humidity (RH) detection and their moisture sensitivity was evaluated. Two different amounts of binder were used for moulding the solid sensors: the ones with 10% of binder were designated as 90PAA, while the ones with 20% were named 80PAA. The structures of the solid samples were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique, adsorption–desorption curves via Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) techniques. The electrical behaviour was examined at ambient temperature by electrical impedance spectroscopy in the entire relative humidity (RH) interval (0–100%) and in the frequency range of 40 Hz up to 60 MHz. Electrical response of the materials was correlated with the structural features of the membranes. Both 90PAA and 80PAA sensors showed total resistance 3 × 105 and 3.5 × 105 Ω at 10% RH, respectively. A linear decrease of the resistance on RH was observed in the range 30–90% RH for both sensors. The electrical response of the evaluated PAA-based sensors displays good repeatability and reproducibility: the ones with lower binder content showed higher moisture sensitivity as well as very good time stability over 1 year.

Hybrid organic–inorganic approaches are used for the synthesis of bifunctional proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) membranes owing to their ability to combine the properties of a functionalized inorganic network and an organic thermostable polymer. We report the synthesis of both sulfonic and phosphonic acid functionalized mesostructured silica networks into a poly(vinylidenefluoride‐co‐hexafluoropropylene) (poly(VDF‐co‐HFP) copolymer. These membranes, containing different amounts of phosphonic acid and sulfonic acid groups, have been characterized using FTIR and NMR spectroscopy, SA‐XRD, SAXS, and electrochemical techniques. The proton conductivity of the bifunctional hybrid membranes depends strongly on hydration, increasing by two orders of magnitude over the relative humidity (RH) range of 20 to 100 %, up to a maximum of 0.031 S cm−1 at 60 °C and 100 % RH. This value is interesting as only half of the membrane conducts protons. This approach allows the synthesis of a porous SiO2 network with two different functions, having  SO3H and  PO3H2 embedded in a thermostable polymer matrix.  相似文献

A fiber‐optic sensor for relative‐humidity (RH) monitoring in environmental samples is described based on the adiabatic photoreaction that produces an intramolecular charge‐transfer excited state, which is the basis of the sensor response. The sensitive membranes are obtained immobilizing a highly fluorescent dye, 4‐[2‐(pyrazin‐2‐yl)‐1,3‐oxazol‐5‐yl]benzenamine (pzoxba; formerly called appzox), in hydroxypropylcellulose (HPC). The composition of the sensing films was optimized to a final ratio pzoxba/HPC of 1.8⋅10−5 mol g−1 with a 100‐μm membrane thickness. The optode response spans from 1.68 to 100% RH, with a detection limit of 0.56% (Table 2). Typical response times (t90) to 0 – 100% relative humidity are 1 – 2 min, the relative standard deviation for repeated measurements being 0.77 – 1.8%. The optode is insensitive to typical organic vapor interferents of commercial capacitive sensors (see Table 3) as well as to molecular oxygen, an important quencher of other luminescence‐based optical sensors. The proposed optode was successfully applied and validated for continuous monitoring of the relative humidity level in environmental samples.  相似文献

Zinc phosphate (Zn3(PO4)2) nanocrystals were synthesized and used for making conducting polyaniline/nano-zinc phosphate composite by chemical oxidative method. The product was characterized by UV–visible absorption spectroscopy. The crystal structure, morphology and thermal stability of the product were studied by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and thermo gravimetric analysis, respectively. The epoxy-based paint containing conducting polyaniline/nano-zinc phosphate composite pigment was applied on low-carbon steel samples. Corrosion protection performance of the painted low-carbon steel samples in 3.5 mass % sodium chloride solution was evaluated using electrochemical technique. Transmission electron microscopic image revealed the formation of core shell structure of the composite. Composite was found to be more thermally stable than the conducting polyaniline. The corrosion rate of conducting polyaniline/nano-zinc phosphate-painted low-carbon steel was found to be 5.1 × 10?4 mm per year, about 34 times lower than that of unpainted low-carbon steel and 10 times lower than that of epoxy nano-zinc phosphate paint-coated steel. The study reveals the possibility of using conducting polyaniline/nano-zinc phosphate as a pigment for corrosion protection.  相似文献

Polyaniline/MC (mesoporous carbon) composite was synthesized by in situ chemical polymerization method and was used as a new electrode material for supercapacitor. The composite was characterized by N2 adsorption and scanning electron microscope. The electrochemical capacitance performance of the composite was investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and galvanostatic charge–discharge tests with a three‐electrode system in a 10 wt% H2SO4 solution. The polyaniline/MC composite electrode shows much higher specific capacitance than pure MC electrode, which is attributed to the incorporation of polyaniline onto the pore surface of MC. Low‐layered, transparent graphene is accessible by a chemical vapor deposition (CVD) technique on a Ni‐catalyst layer, which is deposited on a <100> silicon substrate. The number of graphene layers on the substrate is controlled by the grain boundaries in the Ni‐catalyst layer and can be studied by micro Raman analysis. Electrical studies showed a sheet resistance (Rsheet) of approximately 1435 Ω per □, a contact resistance (Rc) of about 127 Ω, and a specific contact resistance (Rsc) of approximately 2.8×10?4 Ω cm2 for the CVD graphene samples. Transistor output characteristics for the graphene sample demonstrated linear current/voltage behavior. A current versus voltage (IdsVds) plot clearly indicates a p‐conducting characteristic of the synthesized graphene. Gas‐sensor measurements revealed a high sensor activity of the low‐layer graphene material towards H2 and CO. At 300 °C, a sensor response of approximately 29 towards low H2 concentrations (1 vol %) was observed, which is by a factor of four higher than recently reported.  相似文献

A new zwitterionic monomer 3‐[diallyl{3‐(diethoxyphosphoryl)propyl}ammonio]propane‐1‐sulfonate has been synthesized and cyclopolymerized to give the corresponding polyzwitterion (±) (PZ) bearing both phosphonate and sulfonate functionalities on each repeating unit. phosphonate ester hydrolysis in PZ gave a pH‐responsive dibasic polyzwitterionic acid (±) (PZA) bearing ? PO3H2 units. The PZA under pH‐induced transformation was converted into polyzwitterion/anion (± ?) (PZAN) and polyzwitterion/dianion (± =) (PZDAN) having respective ? PO3H? and ? PO32? units. The polymers′ interesting solubility and viscosity behaviors have been investigated in detail. The apparent protonation constants in salt‐free water and 0.1 M NaCl of the ? PO32? in (± =) (PZDAN) and ? PO3H in (± ?) (PZAN) as well as in their corresponding monomeric units have been determined. Evaluation of antiscaling properties of the PZA using supersaturated solution of CaSO4 revealed ≈100% scale inhibition efficiency at a meager concentration of 20 ppm for a duration of 45 h at 40 °C. The PZA has the potential to be used effectively as an antiscalant in reverse osmosis plant. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Sci., Part A: Polym. Chem. 2013 , 51, 5130–5142  相似文献

Vanadium doped nanoporous Ti0.9Sn0.1O2 thin film has been prepared on an alumina substrate by sol‐gel method with Pluronic P123 as the organic template, and humidity sensing properties of it has been investigated. It is found that V‐doped nanoporous Ti0.9Sn0.1O2 thin film shows good humidity sensing properties, and impendence of it decreases more than four orders of magnitude in the relative humidity (RH) range of 11%–95% at 25°C. The response and recovery time of this sensor are about 13 and 17 s, respectively. High sensitivity, narrow hysteresis loop, rapid response and recovery, prominent stability and good repeatability are obtained. A possible mechanism is suggested to explain the humidity sensitive properties.  相似文献

–SO3H modified mesoporous silica adsorbent with water sorption capacity and fast desorption kinetics for water sorption was synthesized and studied via a combined experimental and numerical approach. Mesoporous silica was synthesized using sol–gel method in H2SO4 medium. The water adsorption isotherms and kinetics over the silica were evaluated by a dynamic water vapor sorption analyzer. Mesoporous silica was modeled using annealing simulation with CVFF forcefield. –SO3H modified mesoporous silica was modeled by the attachment of –SO3H to the surface hydroxyl groups and validated. Simulation results show water sorption capacity at low relative humidity (RH) increases with –SO3H loading on mesoporous silica. Energy distribution of intermolecular interaction and micro-view of water sorption over –SO3H modified mesoporous silica reveal that although strong interaction (intermolecular interaction of ?40 to ?20 kcal/mol) between hydrophilic groups (–SO3H) with water can increase water sorption capacity at low RH, weak H2O–H2O interaction (intermolecular interaction of ?20 to ?10 kcal/mol) dominated water sorption capacity at both low and high RH.  相似文献

Developing new materials for the fabrication of proton exchange membranes (PEMs) for fuel cells is of great significance. Herein, a series of highly crystalline, porous, and stable new covalent organic frameworks (COFs) have been developed by a stepwise synthesis strategy. The synthesized COFs exhibit high hydrophilicity and excellent stability in strong acid or base (e.g., 12 m NaOH or HCl) and boiling water. These features make them ideal platforms for proton conduction applications. Upon loading with H3PO4, the COFs (H3PO4@COFs) realize an ultrahigh proton conductivity of 1.13×10?1 S cm?1, the highest among all COF materials, and maintain high proton conductivity across a wide relative humidity (40–100 %) and temperature range (20–80 °C). Furthermore, membrane electrode assemblies were fabricated using H3PO4@COFs as the solid electrolyte membrane for proton exchange resulting in a maximum power density of 81 mW cm?2 and a maximum current density of 456 mA cm?2, which exceeds all previously reported COF materials.  相似文献

Two new compounds ( 1 and 2 ) containing 2‐sulfydryl‐1,3,4‐thiodiazole have been synthesized and optimized. They both showed wide antibacterial activity for colon bacillus, Staphylococcus aureus, S. albus, dysentery bacillus and inferior activity for Bacillus subtilis. In addition, their binding properties were evaluated for biologically important anions (F, Cl, Br, I, AcO, and H2PO4) by theoretical investigation, UV–vis, fluorescence, and 1H NMR titration experiments, and they displayed strong binding ability for H2PO4 without the interference of other anions tested. Especially the binding ability of compound 2 containing anthracene with H2PO4 was 1000 times stronger than that of compound 1 containing nitrobenzene. Two compounds based on 2‐sulfydryl‐1,3,4‐thiodiazole have both properties of anion recognition and antibacterial activity.  相似文献

Solid polymer electrolytes of PEO/LiClO4 and PEO/LiTFSI solution casting films were prepared with the EO/Li molar ratio of 3: 1, and the effect of relative humidity (RH) on their complex structures were characterized. It is shown that the complex structures were barely changed at RH ≤ 10% while severe differences were shown at RH ≥ 20%. The reason was attributed to the interactions of water with lithium salt, and the formation of PEO–Li+–H2O decreased the interactions between PEO and lithium ions. Furthermore, it was shown that the hydrated samples after heat treatment were still strikingly different in characters from their anhydrous precursors, and the type of lithium salt affected the final structures. It was found that the structure of (PEO)3LiClO4 (30% RH) was hardly changed after heating; however, an irreversible compositional transition was discovered in (PEO)3LiTFSI (30% RH) in which case (PEO)2LiTFSI was formed.  相似文献

New hybrid materials based on nanocrystalline tin dioxide and two types of surface-immobilized polymer organosilicon structures with hydrocarbon substitutes were synthesized for gas sensors application. The sensing responses of pure SnO2 and hybrid samples were determined in the presence of NO2 (ppb range), CO (ppm range) and different humidity (RH = 15 – 95 %). Also the influence of water presence on sensor signal towards NO2 and CO was analyzed. Strong influence of nature of hydrocarbon substitutes on sensor response value towards NO2 and H2O was discovered.  相似文献

A new zinc phosphonate Zn(H2O)PO3–C13H9 · H2O with a columnar structure was synthesized in hydrothermal conditions. This compound crystallizes in space group P21/c [a = 15.832(4) Å, b = 5.1915(10) Å, c = 17.519(4) Å and β = 114.479(6)°]. Its inorganic framework consists of isolated chains of corner‐sharing ZnO3(H2O) and PO3C tetrahedra. These chains are linked to fluorene cycles, forming hybrid columns, interconnected through C–H ··· π bonds. The photoluminescence properties of this hybrid material show that its emission bands are red shifted with respect to those of the mother phosphonic acid. This effect is explained on the basis of the structural constraints imposed by the inorganic Zn‐phosphonate chains.  相似文献

A porous metal–organic framework (MOF), [Ni2(dobdc)(H2O)2]?6 H2O (Ni2(dobdc) or Ni‐MOF‐74; dobdc4?=2,5‐dioxido‐1,4‐benzenedicarboxylate) with hexagonal channels was synthesized using a microwave‐assisted solvothermal reaction. Soaking Ni2(dobdc) in sulfuric acid solutions at different pH values afforded new proton‐conducting frameworks, H+@Ni2(dobdc). At pH 1.8, the acidified MOF shows proton conductivity of 2.2×10?2 S cm?1 at 80 °C and 95 % relative humidity (RH), approaching the highest values reported for MOFs. Proton conduction occurs via the Grotthuss mechanism with a significantly low activation energy as compared to other proton‐conducting MOFs. Protonated water clusters within the pores of H+@Ni2(dobdc) play an important role in the conduction process.  相似文献

A series of alkanediyl‐spaced bis‐bisurea ligands ( L2 – L4 ) were synthesized and their anion coordination behavior studied. These ligands form interesting complexes with polymeric and oligomeric dihydrogen phosphate aggregates in the solid state. The ligands L2 and L3 coordinate with H2PO4 anions to form a unique molecular “necklace” with an infinite (H2PO4)n chain and surrounding ligand molecules. Meanwhile, two different dihydrogen phosphate‐water oligomers, (H2PO4)6 · (H2O)4 and (H2PO4)4 · (H2O)2, were observed in the complexes with the ligands L3 and L4 . In addition, solution anion binding properties of the ligands were studied by 1H NMR and UV/Vis spectroscopy.  相似文献

Porous calcium hydroxyapatite (p-HAp) was prepared by wet chemical methods. The poorly crystalline structure and the high surface specific area (235 m2/g) of this hydroxyapatite have effects on the variation of the electrical properties. Good linearity of logarithm of conductivity versus the relative humidity in the range from 19% to 88% (RH) was observed using the complex impedance spectroscopy. The proton conduction was affected by the relative humidity related to H2O adsorption on the material surfaces. The fluorine substitution in p-HAp also modifies the crystalline and the proton conduction properties.  相似文献
