Novel mononuclear oxovanadium(IV) and manganese(III) complexes [VO(L1)2·H2O] (1); [VO(L2)2·H2O] (2); [VO(L3)2·H2O] (3); [Mn(L1)2]ClO4·H2O (4); [Mn(L2)2] ClO4·H2O (5); [Mn(L3)2]ClO4·H2O (6) were prepared by condensation of 1 mol of VOSO4·5H2O or Mn(OAc)3· 2H2O with 2 mol of ligand HL1, HL2 or HL3 (where HL1 = 4-[(2-hydroxy-ethylamino)-methylene]-5-methyl-2- phenyl-2,4-dihydro-pyrazol-3-one; HL2=4-[(2-hydroxy-ethylamino)-methylene]-5-methyl-2-p-tolyl-2,4-dihydro-pyrazol-3-one; HL3=4-{4-[(2-hydroxy-ethyl-amino)-methyl]-3-methyl-5-oxo-4,5-dihydropyrazol-1-yl} benzene sulfonic acid). The resulting complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductance, magnetic and decomposition temperature measurements, electron spin resonance, FAB mass, IR and electronic spectral studies. From TGA, DTA and DSC, the thermal behaviour and degradation kinetic were studied. Electronic spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements indicate distorted octahedral stereochemistry of oxovanadium(IV) complexes and regular octahedral stereochemistry of manganese(III) complexes. Hamiltonian and bonding parameters found from ESR spectra indicate the metal ligand bonding is partial covalent. The X-ray single crystal determination of one of the representative ligand was carried out which suggests existence of amine-one tautomeric form in the solid state. The 1H-NMR spectra support the existence of imine-ol form in solution state. The LC-MS studies sustain the1H-NMR result. The electronic structure of the same representative ligand was optimized using 6-311G basis set at HF level ab initio studies to predict the coordinating atoms of the ligand.  相似文献

Abstract

We report the reactions of imidazolin-2-iminato titanium complexes [(ImRN)Ti(NMe2)3] (R = Mes, 2b; R = Dipp, 2c; Mes = mesityl, Dipp = 2,6-diisopropylphenyl) with 2,6-diisopropylaniline in a 1:3 molar ratio to yield the titanium imido complexes of composition [(ImRNH)Ti = N(Dipp)(HNDipp)2] (R = Mes, 3b; R = Dipp, 3c) in good yield by the Ti-Niminato bond cleavage at 60 °C. In contrast, the reaction of [(ImRN)Ti(NMe2)3] with 2,6-diisopropylaniline in a 1:1 molar ratio afforded mono-substituted products [(ImRN)Ti(NMe2)2(HNDipp)] (R = Mes, 4b; R = Dipp, 4c) in good yield. The reaction of [(ImRN)Ti(NMe2)3] with the iminopyrrole ligand [2-(2,6-iPr2C6H3-N = CH)C4H3NH] (NDippPyH) in a 1:1 ratio afforded mixed ligands, titanium complexes [(ImRN)Ti(NMe2)2(NDipp-Py)] (R = tBu, 5a; R = Dipp, 5c) with imidazolin-2-iminato and iminopyrrolide ligands. Molecular structures of 3b, 3c, 4c, 5a, and 5c were determined by single-crystal X-ray analysis. The solid-state structures of 3b and 3c clearly indicate the formation of true Ti = N double bonds, measuring 1.730(2) Å and 1.727(1) Å, respectively. The solid-state structures of 5a and 5c reveal the formation of five-coordinate titanium complexes.  相似文献

Two series of zinc(II) complexes of two Schiff bases (H2L1 and H2L2) formulated as [Zn(HL1/HL2)]ClO4 (1a and 1b) and [Zn(L1/L2)] (2a and 2b), where H2L1 = 1,8-bis(salicylideneamino)-3,6-dithiaoctane and H2L2 = 1,9-bis(salicylideneamino)-3,7-dithianonane, have been prepared and isolated in pure form by changing the chemical environment. Elemental, spectral, and other physicochemical results characterize the complexes. A single crystal X-ray diffraction study confirms the structure of [Zn(HL1)]ClO4 (1a). In 1a, zinc(II) has a distorted octahedral environment with a ZnO2N2S2 chromophore.  相似文献

Reactions of IrCl3·xH2O with the ligands, 2-[(phenylamino)phenylazo]pyridine (HL1a) and 2-[(p-tolylamino)phenylazo]pyridine (HL1b) produce [Ir(L1)2]Cl (L1 = L1a, [1]Cl and L1 = L1b, [2]Cl) along with many unidentified products. The iridium complexes have been characterized by various techniques such as X-ray crystallography, mass spectrometry, 1H and 13C NMR, cyclic voltammetry and absorption studies. The complex [1]ClO4 crystallises in triclinic space group. The crystallographic data have been determined. Notably, the Ir-N (azo) lengths are short (av. 1·9875(4) ?) as compared to the remaining four Ir-N lengths (av. 2·052(5) ?). There is significant degree of ligand backbone conjugation in the coordinated ligands, which result in shortening of the C-N lengths on the other side of the middle phenyl ring and also in lengthening of the diazo (N=N) lengths. The complexes display multiple low energy transitions ranging between 1010 and 450 nm. These are electro active and show three reversible redox responses in the potential range, +1·5 V to −1·5 V. The cathodic potential responses are ascribed as ligand reductions, while the redox process at the anodic potential occurs at a mixed metal-ligand (HOMO) orbital.  相似文献

Summary Copper(II), nickel(II) and cobalt(II) perchlorate complexes of 5,5-dimethylcyclohexane-1,2,3-trione-2-(p-nitrophenyl-hydrazone) (HL1), 5,5-dimethyl-cyclohexane-1,2,3-trione-2-(p-chlorophenylhydrazone) (HL2), 5,5-dimethylcyclohexane-1,2,3-trione-2-(o-chlorophenylhydrazone) (HL4), 5,5-dimethylcyclohexane-1,2,3-trione-2-(o-methylphenyl-hydrazone) (HL5) and 5,5-dimethylcyclohexane-1,2,3-trione-2-(m-methylphenylhydrazone) (HL6) have been prepared, and characterized using analytical, spectral and magnetic measurements. The data reveal that the reaction of Cu(ClO4)2 (1 mol) in EtOH, with all ligands, produces complexes of the type CuL(ClO4)(H2O).nH2O. Nickel(II) and cobalt(II) perchlorates react only with HL1 and HL2 to produce the complexes ML(ClO4)(H2O)3 (where M = NiII, L = L and L2, M = CoII, L = L1) and Co(HL2)2-(ClO4)2.2H2O. The spectral data show that the ligands behave as monobasic bidentate in their azo forms, except HL2 which reacts with cobalt(II) as a neutral bidentate ligand in its hydrazone form.  相似文献

A cobalt(II) coordination polymer [Co(4-TZBA2?)(H2O)2] (1) was obtained by treatment of Co(ClO4)2 · 6H2O with 4-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)benzoic acid [H2(4-TZBA)] under hydrothermal conditions. The X-ray single crystal diffraction analysis reveals that 1 crystallizes in monoclinic P21/c, with a = 10.503(2) Å, b = 9.0860(18) Å, c = 10.179(2) Å, β = 96.75(3)° and Z = 4. In 1, adjacent cobalt(II) atoms are bridged by two 4-TZBA2? ligands to form a dimer, which is linked with six dimers to result in a 3-D structure. 1 exhibits strong luminescence at room temperature in the solid state.  相似文献

Three copper(II) complexes, [Cu(L1)(H2O)(ClO4)]·0.5H2O (1), [Cu(L2)(H2O)(ClO4)]·0.5H2O (2), and [Cu(L2)(NCNC(OCH3)NH2)]ClO4 (3), where HL1 = 4-bromo-2-(-(quinolin-8-ylimino)methyl)phenol and HL2 = 1-(-(quinolin-8-ylimino)methyl)naphthalen-2-ol, have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV–vis and fluorescence spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies. The copper(II) centers assume five-coordinate square-pyramidal geometries in 1 and 2, whereas square planar copper(II) is present in 3. A methanol molecule has been inserted in the pendant end of the ligated dicyanamide in 3. Various supramolecular architectures are formed by hydrogen bonding, π?π, C–H?π, and lp?π interactions.  相似文献

Two copper(II) complexes, [Cu2(μ-benzoato)(L1)2]NO3·2H2O (1) and [Cu2(μ-succinato)(L2)2(H2O)]ClO4 (2), have been synthesized, where L1 = N′-[(E)-phenyl(pyridin-2-yl)methylidene]benzoylhydrazone and L2 = N′-[(E)-pyridin-2-ylmethylidene]benzoylhydrazone. These complexes were characterized including by single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies. The copper is five-coordinate in 1 while in 2 one copper is five-coordinate and the other is six-coordinate. Electrochemical behavior of these complexes was measured by cyclic voltammetry. The conproportionation equilibrium constants (Kcon) for both complexes have been estimated. The superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities of 1 and 2 were measured by nitro blue tetrazolium assay. Complex 1 has better SOD activity than 2.  相似文献

Three new centrosymmetric dinuclear copper(II) complexes, [Cu2Cl2(L1)2] (1), [Cu2(μ 1,3-NCS)2(L2)2] (2), and [Cu2(μ 1,1-N3)2(L3)2] (3), where L1, L2, and L3 are the deprotonated forms of the Schiff bases 1-[(2-propylaminoethylimino)methyl]naphthalen-2-ol (HL1), 1-[(3-methylaminopropylimino)methyl]naphthalen-2-ol (HL2), and 2-[(2-isopropylaminoethylimino)methyl]phenol (HL3), respectively, have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, and single-crystal X-ray crystallography. Each Cu is coordinated by the three donors of the Schiff bases and by two bridging groups, forming a square-pyramidal geometry.  相似文献

The crystal structures of copper(II) nitrate complexes with 2-(2-hydroxybenzylideneamino)-2-hydroxymethylpropane-1,3-diol (HL) and 2-hydroxymethyl-2-(2-hydroxy-5-nitrobenzylideneamino)propane-1,3-diol (HL1) were determined. The resulting complexes were formulated as [Cu3OL3(H2O2]NO3 · 3H2O (I) and [Cu(H2O)L1]NO3 (II). The crystals of I are monoclinic, a = 17.809(4) Å, b = 30.549(6) Å, c = 18.962(4) Å, β = 115.36(3)°, space group Cc, Z = 8, R = 0.0482. Complex I is composed of two independent three-dimensional µ3-oxo complexes; the coordination polyhedron of the copper atoms in both compounds is an elongated tetragonal bipyramid. The coordination polyhedron of the third Cu atom is a tetragonal pyramid. The bases of the pyramids are composed of the oxygen atoms of the phenol and alcohol OH groups, the imine N atom of ligand L, and µ 3-oxo atoms. The phenol and water O atoms serve as the apices in both the tetragonal bipyramids. The crystals of II are triclinic, a = 6.062(1) Å, b = 7.701(2) Å, c = 16.162(3) Å, α = 88.15(3)°, β = 84.94(3)°, γ = 78.13(3)°, space group P1¯, Z = 2, R = 0.0272. Complex II is composed of polymer chains formed by coordination bonds between the copper atom and two O atoms of the amino alcohol in the azomethine of the neighboring complex connected to the initial one by translation along the x axis. These chains are linked through hydrogen bonds involving the oxygen atoms of the NO2 groups. The benzene rings of the azomethine ligands of the adjoining complexes from different chains are antiparallel to each other. The coordination polyhedron of the central atom is an elongated tetragonal bipyramid. Its equatorial plane is formed by the phenol O atom, one of the alcohol O atoms, the N atom of ligand L1, and the O atom of the amino alcohol in the neighboring complex. The apices are the O atom of the water molecule and the O atom of the amino alcohol in the neighboring azomethine molecule. In complexes I and II, the outer-sphere nitrato group mainly serves to unite trimers and polymers in the crystal by means of hydrogen bonds.__________Translated from Koordinatsionnaya Khimiya, Vol. 31, No. 8, 2005, pp. 621–629.Original Russian Text Copyright © 2005 by Chumakov, Tsapkov, Simonov, Antosyak, Bocelli, Perrin, Starikova, Samus, Gulea.  相似文献

Thiosemicarbazide copper (II) complexes; [Cu2(HL1)2(H2O)2Cl2].H2O (1) and [Cu2(HL2)2(H2O)2Cl2].2H2O (2) (where H2L1 = 2-picolinoyl-N-(pyridin-2-yl)hydrazine-1-carbothioamide and H2L2 = 2-(2-(2-aminothiazol-4-yl)acetyl)-N-(pyridin-2-yl)hydrazine-1-carbothioamide) have been synthesized and characterized. Analytical and spectroscopic data revealed that ligands behaves as monobasic tetradentate with octahedral geometry. In addition, the optimized geometry of the ligands and their complexes was approved with the Jaguar 9.1 program in the Schrödinger set using DFT (density functional theory) to predict chemical processes and to estimate the properties of the material made by the hybrid functional density system B3LYP. Furthermore, the thermal degradation curves of complexes were discussed in order to determine the kinetic and thermodynamic parameters by various approaches. Additionally, the antioxidant (using the DPPH and SOD methods) and the antibacterial potency of the compounds were examined. Also, docking study of ligands and their complexes was carried out against Staphylococcus aureus gram +ve, gram -ve bacterial strains of Escherichia coli and Candida albicans using the XP glide protocol of Schrödinger suite.  相似文献

This paper discusses coordination-position isomeric MIICuII and CuIIMII complexes, using unsymmetric dinucleating macrocycles (Lm;n)2− ((L2;2)2−, (L2;3)2− and (L2;4)2−) that comprise two 2-(N-methyl)-aminomethyl-6-iminomethyl-4-bromo-phenonate entities, combined through the ethylene chain (m = 2) between the two amine nitrogens and through the ethylene, trimethylene or tetramethylene chain(n = 2, 3 or 4) between the two imine nitrogens. The macrocycles have dissimilar N(amine)2O2 and N(imine)2O2 metal-binding sites sharing the phenolic oxygens. The reaction of the mononuclear CuII precursors, [Cu(L2;2)], [Cu(L2;2)] and [Cu(L2;2)], with a MII perchlorate and a MII acetate salt formed (acetato)MIICuII complexes: [CoCu(L2;2)(AcO)]ClO4·0.5H2O] (1), [NiCu(L2;2) (AcO)]ClO4 (2), [ZnCu(L2;2) (AcO)]ClO4 (3), [CoCu(L2;3)(AcO)]ClO4·0.5H2O (4), [NiCu(L2;3)(AcO)]ClO4 (5), [ZnCu(L2;3)(AcO)]ClO4·0.5H2O (6), [CoCu(L2;4)(AcO)(DMF)]ClO4 (7), [NiCu(L2;4) (AcO)]ClO4·2DMF (8) and [ZnCu(L2;4)(AcO)]ClO4 (9) (the formulation [MaMb (Lm;n)]2+ means that Ma resides in the aminic site and Mb in the iminic site). The site selectivity of the metal ions is demonstrated by X-ray crystallographic studies for 2·MeOH,3,5,7, and9. An (acetato)CuIIZnII complex, [CuZn(L2;3)(AcO)]ClO4 (10), was obtained by the reaction of [PbCu(L2;3)]-(ClO4)2 with ZnSO4·4H2O, in the presence of sodium acetate. Other complexes of the CuIIMII type were thermodynamically unstable to cause a scrambling of metal ions. The Cu migration from the iminic site to the aminic site in the synthesis of10 is explained by the ‘kinetic macrocyclic effect’. The coordination-position isomers,6 and10, are differentiated by physicochemical properties.  相似文献

The synthesis, reduction, optical and e.p.r. spectral properties of a series of new binuclear copper(II) complexes, containing bridging moieties (OH, MeCO2 , NO2 , and N3 ), with new proline-based binuclear pentadentate Mannich base ligands is described. The ligands are: 2,6-bis[(prolin-1-yl)methyl]4-bromophenol [H3L1], 2,6-bis[(prolin-1-yl)methyl]4-t-butylphenol [H3L2] and 2,6-bis[(prolin-1-yl)methyl]4-methoxyphenol [H3L3]. The exogenous bridging complexes thus prepared were hydroxo: [Cu2L1(OH)(H2O)2] · H2O (1a), [Cu2L2(OH)(H2O)2] · H2O (1b), [Cu2L3(OH)(H2O)2] · H2O (1c), acetato [Cu2L1(OAc)] · H2O (2a), [Cu2L2(OAc)] · H2O (2b), [Cu2L3(OAc)] · H2O (2c), nitrito [Cu2L1(NO2)(H2O)2] · H2O (3a), [Cu2L2(NO2)(H2O)2] · H2O (3b), [Cu2L3(NO2)(H2O)2] · H2O (3c) and azido [Cu2L1(N3)(H2O)2] · H2O (4a), [Cu2L2(N3)(H2O)2] · H2O (4b) and [Cu2L3(N3)(H2O)2] · H2O (4c). The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis and by spectroscopy. They exhibit resolved copper hyperfine e.p.r. spectra at room temperature, indicating the presence of weak antiferromagnetic coupling between the copper atoms. The strength of the antiferromagnetic coupling lies in the order: NO2 N3 OH OAc. Cyclic voltammetry revealed the presence of two redox couples CuIICuII CuIICuI CuICuI. The conproportionality constant K con for the mixed valent CuIICuI species for all the complexes have been determined electrochemically.  相似文献

Two new complexes: [Cu(dppz)(L‐val)(H2O)]ClO4 ( 1 ) and [Cu(dppz)(L‐tyr)(H2O)]ClO4·1.5H2O ( 2 ) (dppz=dipyrido[3,2‐a:2′,3′‐c]phenazine, L‐val=L‐valinate, L‐tyr=L‐tyrosinate) have been synthesized and investigated by elemental analysis, molar conductivity, UV‐Vis and IR spectroscopies. Complex 1 has been structurally characterized by the single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction method, which crystallizes in the triclinic space group P‐1 in a unit cell of a=0.9095(2) nm, b=1.3301(3) nm, c=1.3552(3) nm, α =93.518(3) °, β=97.192(3) °, γ=106.361(3) °, V=1.5526(6) nm3, Z=2, Dc=1.598 g·cm?3, µ=0.849 mm?1. The DNA binding and cleavage properties of the complexes have been studied by UV spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, viscosity measurement and agarose gel electrophoresis. The results show that the complexes can bind DNA by intercalation and cleave pBR322 DNA by free hydroxyl radical induced by the complexes in the presence of ascorbate, giving the order of the binding abilities and cleavage activity of the complexes to DNA: complex 2 > 1 .  相似文献

The paper reports the synthesis and characterization of vanadium complexes of N,N′-(±)-trans-bis(2,4-dihydroxyacetophenone)-1,2-cyclohexanediamine (H2L1) and N,N′-(±)-trans-bis(2,4-dihyroxy-5-nitroacetophenone)-1,2-chyclohexanediamine (H2L2). All the complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility measurements, infrared and electronic spectra, and thermogravimetric analysis. The X-ray patterns of the [VO(L1)] · H2O (I) and [VO(L2)] · H2O (II) complexes show the monoclinic system with the unit cell parameters a = 26.1352, b = 11.7149, c = 6.0401 β = 115.38° and a = 29.3787, b = 12.9398, c = 5.9175 β = 96.84°, respectively. The complexes I and II catalyze the oxidation of styrene in the presence of hydrogen peroxide.  相似文献

New tetranuclear compounds have been obtained by reacting binuclear complexes, [Zn2L n (μ-OH)(H2O)2](ClO4)2, with sodium dicyanamide (HL n are end-off bicompartmental ligands resulting from condensation between 2,6-diformyl-p-cresol with N,N-dimethyl-ethylenediamine or 2-aminomethyl-pyridine). The complexes, [{L1(μ-OH)Zn2}(μ 1,5-dca)2{Zn2(μ-OH)L1}](ClO4)2 (1) and [{Zn2L2(μ 3-OH)(dca)}2](ClO4)2?·?2H2O (2), have been characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The angular nature of the bridging dicyanamido induces the “M” shape of the tetranuclear cationic unit in 1. The tetranuclear cation, because of its particular shape, acts as a receptor toward one perchlorate ion, which is hydrogen bonded to the hydroxo groups. This tetranuclear unit in 2 has a defective heterocubane structure. The luminescence properties of the new tetranuclear complexes have been investigated.  相似文献

N-(R-carbamothioyl)cyclohexanecarboxamides (R: diethyl, di-n-propyl, di-n-butyl, diphenyl and morpholine-4) and their Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, FT-IR and NMR methods. N-(diethylcarbamothioyl)cyclohexanecarboxamide, HL1, C12H22N2OS, crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group P212121, with Z = 4, and unit cell parameters, a = 6.6925(13) Å, b = 9.0457(18) Å, c = 22.728(5) Å. The conformation of the HL1 molecule with respect to the thiocarbonyl and carbonyl moieties is twisted, as reflected by the torsion angles O1–C6–N2–C5, C6–N2–C5–N1 and S1–C5–N2–C6 of 1.68°, ?67.47° and 115.50°, respectively. The structure of HL1 also shows a delocalization of the π electrons of the thiocarbonyl group over the C–N bonds. The ring puckering analysis shows that the cyclohexane ring has a chair conformation. The bis(N-(morpholine-4-carbonothioyl)cyclohexane carboxamido)nickel(II) complex, Ni(L5)2, C24H38N4NiO4S2, crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c, with Z = 4, and unit cell parameters, a = 16.919(3) Å, b = 8.3659(17) Å, c = 19.654(4) Å, β = 107.43(3)°. Ni(L5)2 is a cis-complex with a slightly distorted square-planar coordination of the central nickel by two oxygen and two sulfur atoms.  相似文献

The reaction of copper(II) salts with (E)-N-(2-hydroxy-1,2-di(pyridin-2-yl)ethylidene)aroyl hydrazide (H2L1, H2L2, H3L3) or (E)-N-(2-hydroxy-1,2-di(pyridin-2-yl)ethylidene) isonicotinohydrazide (H2L4) afforded the complexes [(L)Cu(H2O)3], [(H2L)Cu(OAc)(H2O)], [(HL)Cu(OAc)] n , [(H2L)Cu(H2O)](ClO4)2 and [(H2L)Cu(OAc)(H2O)], where n = 1 or 2 and L is the dinegative ion of the ligands. The ligands and their complexes are characterized by elemental analyses, spectral (IR, NMR, electronic, and ESR) and magnetic studies. The FT-IR indicates that the ligands are neutral or anionic polydentate. The number of the coordinating centers depends on the nature of the metal used and the reaction conditions. The room temperature magnetic moment values, electronic spectra and ESR data indicate square planar, trigonal bipyramidal, square pyramidal, and distorted octahedral ligand fields around copper(II). Thermal decomposition of the complexes was monitored by TG and DTG under N2 and the thermal decomposition mechanisms are given. The compounds were screened for their antimicrobial activities on some Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial species. The free ligands are inactive against all studied bacteria. The complexes have variable activity with the most active [(H2L)Cu(H2O)](ClO4)2, where H2L is H2L1 or H2L2. The minimum inhibition concentrations for these two complexes were determined. These biological activity results are related to the structures of the compounds.  相似文献
