Highly ordered mesoporous Co3O4 nanostructures were prepared using KIT‐6 and SBA‐15 silica as hard templates. The structures were confirmed by small angle X‐ray diffraction, high resolution transmission electron microscopy, and N2 adsorption–desorption isotherm analysis. Both KIT‐6 cubic and SBA‐15 hexagonal mesoporous Co3O4 samples exhibited a low Néel temperature and bulk antiferromagnetic coupling due to geometric confinement of antiferromagnetic order within the nanoparticles. Mesoporous Co3O4 electrode materials have demonstrated the high lithium storage capacity of more than 1200 mAh g?1 with an excellent cycle life. They also exhibited a high specific capacitance of 370 F g?1 as electrodes in supercapacitors.  相似文献

Tailoring metal oxide nanostructures with mesoporous architectures is vital to improve their electrocatalytic performance. Herein, we demonstrate the synthesis of 2D mesoporous Co3O4 (meso‐Co3O4) nanobundles with uniform shape and size by employing a hard‐template method. In this study, the incipient wetness impregnation technique has been chosen for loading metal precursor into the silica hard template (SBA‐15). The results reveal that the concentration of a saturated precursor solution plays a vital role in mesostructured ordering, as well as the size and shape of the final meso‐Co3O4 product. The optimized precursor concentration allows us to synthesize ordered meso‐Co3O4 with four to seven nanowires in each particle. The meso‐Co3O4 structure exhibits excellent electrocatalytic activity for both glucose and water oxidation reactions.  相似文献

Mesoporous silica KIT-6 has novel three-dimensional gyroidal channel structure, space group of 1a-3d, and ordered tunable pores up to 10 nm. In this paper, such mesostructured silica was employed as hard template to prepare semicrystalline gyroidal mesoporous MnO2. The structure was investigated by XRD, TEM and HRTEM, and found to be of high quality 1a-3d symmetry, in good accordance with the template structure. The material has a BET surface of 118 m2·g^-1 and pore volume of 0.35 cm3·g^- 1 after eliminating template. Mesoporous MnO2 has shown good electrochemical property as supercapacitor material in 1 mol·L^-1 Na2SO4 and 1 mol·L^-1 LiClO4 solutions, but interesting pseudocapacitance behavior was observed in the case of 6 mol·L^-1 KOH. It was found that mesoporous MnO2 performed stable reversible electrochemical behavior with capacitance of 220 F·g^-1 in a potential range of -0.1-0.55 V vs. Hg/HgO in alkaline solution, demonstrating that it is a promising novel electrode material for the fabrication of electrochemical capacitors.  相似文献

A novel synthesis method for ordered mesoporous carbons is presented. The inverse replication of a silica template was achieved using the carbonization of sucrose within mesoporous KIT‐6. Instead of liquid acid etching, as in classical nanocasting, a novel dry chlorine etching procedure for template removal is presented for the first time. The resultant ordered mesostructured carbon material outperforms carbons obtained by conventional hard templating with respect to high specific micro‐ and mesopore volumes (0.6 and 1.6 cm3 g?1, respectively), due to the presence of a hierarchical pore system. A high specific surface area of 1671 m2 g?1 was achieved, rendering this synthesis route a highly convenient method to produce ordered mesoporous carbons.  相似文献

Well‐ordered mesoporous Pt nanoparticles (MPNs) with uniform olive shapes are synthesized by using two‐dimensional (2D) hexagonal mesoporous silica (SBA‐15) as a hard template. The average particle sizes are controllable in the range of 150 to 230 nm by changing the reduction time. Low‐angle XRD profiles for the obtained MPNs show three distinct peaks assignable to the (10), (11), and (20) planes of a highly ordered 2D hexagonal symmetry. From high‐magnification SEM images, periodically arranged Pt nanowires are observed clearly, which are a negative replica of the 2D hexagonally ordered mesoporous silica (SBA‐15). Furthermore, the single crystallinity of the Pt fcc structure coherently extends over the whole particles. As a result of such unique character as well as high surface area, the obtained MPNs show distinctly enhanced electrocatalytic properties for methanol oxidation reaction compared to other Pt samples, such as Pt black.  相似文献

Highly ordered mesoporous three‐dimensional Ia3d silica (KIT‐6) with different pore diameters has been synthesized by using pluronic P123 as surfactant template and n‐butanol as cosolvent at different synthesis temperatures in a highly acidic medium. The materials were characterized by XRD and N2 adsorption. The synthesis temperature plays a significant role in controlling the pore diameter, surface area, and pore volume of the materials. The material prepared at 150 °C, KIT‐6‐150, has a large pore diameter (11.3 nm) and a high specific pore volume (1.53 cm3 g?1). We also demonstrate immobilization of lysozyme, which is a stable and hard protein, on KIT‐6 materials with different pore diameters. The amount of lysozyme adsorbed on large‐pore KIT‐6 is extremely large (57.2 μmol g?1) and is much higher than that observed for mesoporous silicas MCM‐41, SBA‐15, and KIT‐5, mesoporous carbons, and carbon nanocages. The effect of various parameters such as buffer concentration, adsorption temperature, concentration of the lysozyme, and the textural parameter of the adsorbent on the lysozyme adsorption capacity of KIT‐6 was studied. The amount adsorbed mainly depends on solution pH, ionic strength, adsorption temperature, and pore volume and pore diameter of the adsorbent. The mechanism of adsorption on KIT‐6 under different adsorption conditions is discussed. In addition, the structural stability of lysozyme molecules and the KIT‐6 adsorbent before and after adsorption were investigated by XRD, nitrogen adsorption, and FTIR spectroscopy.  相似文献

A repeating template method is presented for the synthesis of mesoporous metals with 2D hexagonal mesostructures. First, a silica replica (i.e., silica nanorods arranged periodically) is prepared by using 2D hexagonally ordered mesoporous carbon as the template. After that, the obtained silica replica is used as the second template for the preparation of mesoporous ruthenium. After the ruthenium species are introduced into the silica replica, the ruthenium species are then reduced by a vapor‐infiltration method by using the reducing agent dimethylamine borane. After the ruthenium deposition, the silica is chemically removed. Analysis by transmission and scanning electron microscopies, a nitrogen‐adsorption–desorption isotherm, and small‐angle X‐ray scattering revealed that the mesoporous ruthenium had a 2D hexagonal mesostructure, although the mesostructural ordering is decreased compared to that of the original mesoporous carbon template. This method is widely applicable to other metal systems. By changing the metal species introduced into the silica replica, several mesoporous metals (palladium and platinum) can be synthesized. Ordered mesoporous ruthenium and palladium, which are not easily attainable by the soft‐templating methods, can be prepared. This study has overcome the composition variation limitations of the soft‐templating method.  相似文献

A high-temperature reductive sulfuration method is demonstrated to synthesize highly ordered mesoporous metal sulfide crystallites by using mesoporous silica as hard templates. H2S gas is utilized as a sulfuration agent to in situ convert phosphotungstic acid H3PW12O40.6H2O to hexagonal WS2 crystallites in the silica nanochannels at 600 degrees C. Upon etching silica, mesoporous, layered WS2 nanocrystal arrays are produced with a yield as high as 96 wt %. XRD, nitrogen sorption, SEM, and TEM results reveal that the WS2 products replicated from the mesoporous silica SBA-15 hard template possess highly ordered hexagonal mesostructure (space group, p6mm) and rodlike morphology, analogous to the mother template. The S-W-S trilayers of the WS2 nanocrystals are partially oriented, parallel to the mesochannels of the SBA-15 template. This orientation is related with the reduction of the high-energy layer edges in layered metal dichalcogenides and the confinement in anisotropic nanochannels. The mesostructure can be 3-D cubic bicontinuous if KIT-6 (Iad) is used as a hard template. Mesoporous WS2 replicas have large surface areas (105-120 m2/g), pore volumes ( approximately 0.20 cm3/g), and narrow pore size distributions ( approximately 4.8 nm). By one-step nanocasting with the H3PMo12O40.6H2O (PMA) precursor into the mesochannels of SBA-15 or KIT-6 hard template, highly ordered mesoporous MoS2 layered crystallites with the 2-D hexagonal (p6mm) and 3-D bicontinuous cubic (Iad) structures can also be prepared via this high-temperature reductive sulfuration route. When the loading amount of PMA precursor is low, multiwalled MoS2 nanotubes with 5-7 nm in diameter can be obtained. The high-temperature reductive sulfuration method is a general strategy and can be extended to synthesize mesoporous CdS crystals and other metal sulfides.  相似文献

Recently, extensive works have been devoted to the morphology control of mesoporous materials with respect to their use in various applications. In this paper, we used two kinds of mesoporous silica, SBA-15 rods and spheres as hard templates to synthesize morphology-controllable mesoporous metal oxides. By carefully controlling the loading of metal precursors in the mesopores of the hard template, mesoporous Co3O4 and CeO2 with different morphologies, such as micrometer-sized rod, hollow sphere, saucer-like sphere, and solid sphere were conveniently obtained. The structural properties of these materials were characterized by XRD, BET, SEM and TEM. In addition, it is found that the differences observed in the textural properties of the two mesoporous metal oxides nanocasted from the same template can be attributed to the properties of metal precursors and the interaction between metal oxide and SiO2. Thus-obtained mesoporous metal oxides with such special morphologies may have a potential application in the field of environmental catalytic oxidation.  相似文献

Highly ordered mesoporous C60 with a well‐ordered porous structure and a high crystallinity is prepared through the nanohard templating method using a saturated solution of C60 in 1‐chloronaphthalene (51 mg mL?1) as a C60 precursor and SBA‐15 as a hard template. The high solubility of C60 in 1‐chloronaphthalene helps not only to encapsulate a huge amount of the C60 into the mesopores of the template but also supports the oligomerization of C60 and the formation of crystalline walls made of C60. The obtained mesoporous C60 exhibits a rod‐shaped morphology, a high specific surface area (680 m2 g?1), tuneable pores, and a highly crystalline wall structure. This exciting ordered mesoporous C60 offers high supercapacitive performance and a high selectivity to H2O2 production and methanol tolerance for ORR. This simple strategy could be adopted to make a series of mesoporous fullerenes with different structures and carbon atoms as a new class of energy materials.  相似文献

We review recent developments in the preparation of mesoporous metals and related metal‐based nanomaterials. Among the many types of mesoporous materials, mesoporous metals hold promise for a wide range of potential applications, such as in electronic devices, magnetic recording media, and metal catalysts, owing to their metallic frameworks. Mesoporous metals with highly ordered networks and narrow pore‐size distributions have traditionally been produced by using mesoporous silica as a hard template. This method involves the formation of an original template followed by deposition of metals within the mesopores and subsequent removal of the template. Another synthetic method is the direct‐template approach from lyotropic liquid crystals (LLCs) made of nonionic surfactants at high concentrations. Direct‐template synthesis creates a novel avenue for the production of mesoporous metals as well as related metal‐based nanomaterials. Many mesoporous metals have been prepared by the chemical or electrochemical reduction of metal salts dissolved in aqueous LLC domains. As a soft template, LLCs are more versatile and therefore more advantageous than hard templates. It is possible to produce various nanostructures (e.g., lamellar, 2D hexagonal (p6mm), and 3D cubic (Ia d)), nanoparticles, and nanotubes simply by controlling the composition of the reaction bath.  相似文献

While great progress has been achieved in the synthesis of ordered mesoporous carbons in the past decade, it still remains a challenge to prepare highly graphitic frameworks with ordered mesoporosity and high surface area. Reported herein is a simple synthetic methodology, based on the conversion of self‐assembled superlattices of Fe3O4 nanocrystals, to fabricate highly ordered mesoporous graphene frameworks (MGFs) with ultrathin pore walls consisting of three to six stacking graphene layers. The MGFs possess face‐centered‐cubic symmetry with interconnected mesoporosity, tunable pore width, and high surface area. Because of their unique architectures and superior structural durability, the MGFs exhibit excellent cycling stability and rate performance when used as anode materials for lithium‐ion batteries, thus retaining a specific capacity of 520 mAh g?1 at a current density of 300 mA g?1 after 400 cycles.  相似文献

Nanocast silica (NCS-1) was synthesized by a casting process by employing the mesoporous carbon CMK-3 (the replica of SBA-15) as a template, tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) as the silica source, and hydrochloric acid (HCl) as the catalyst. The ordered carbon template was removed by employing different methods, such as calcination, thermal treatment followed by calcination, and controlled combustion. According to XRD and TEM characterization, NCS-1 exhibits an ordered structure with hexagonal symmetry and retains the morphology of the original SBA-15 used for the synthesis of CMK-3 over two replication steps on the nanometer scale. This demonstrates the well-connected porosity in CMK-3 type carbon, which can be used as a mold to synthesize mesostructured materials. The nitrogen adsorption isotherms generally show type IV shape, indicating mesoporous characteristics. The structure of NCS-1 is strongly influenced by variables of the nanocasting process, such as the loading amount of silica, hydrolysis temperature, and carbon removal methods. The surface area, pore size, and pore volume of NCS-1 can be tuned to a certain range by varying these parameters.  相似文献

Traditional hard‐template methods for the preparation of mesoporous carbon structures have been well developed, but there are difficulties associated with complete filling of the organic precursors in ordered mesochannels and exact replication of the templates. Herein, mesoporous carbon nanorods (meso‐CNRs) were synthesized through thermal condensation of furfuryl alcohol followed by the nano‐confined decomposition of polyfurfuryl alcohol in silica nanotubes (SiO2 NTs) with porous shells. Limited and slow release of gaseous water through the porous shells and finite polyfurfuryl precursor inside silica nanotubes are responsible for the formation of the mesoporous structures. Nitrogen can be doped into the meso‐CNRs by adding guanidine hydrochloride to the precursors. The nitrogen dopant not only stabilizes the ultrasmall and active Pd nanocatalyst in the meso‐CNRs but also increases the electron density of Pd and accelerates the dissociation of H2, both of which increase the catalytic activity of the Pd catalyst in hydrogenation reactions.  相似文献

Ordered mesoporous carbon has been actively investigated for its potential applications as catalyst supports, electrochemical materials and gas separation media. In this study, we tested an iron‐modified ordered mesoporous carbon (FeOMC) for its ability to adsorb arsenic from the aqueous phase. The FeOMC synthesis involved the preparation of an ordered silica template SBA‐15, in situ polymerization of acrylic acid in the template, carbonization and template removal to obtain the ordered mesoporous carbon, and iron impregnation. Batch experiments showed that the pH level of the solution had a major impact on arsenic sorption. Further, we found that the presence of anions (i.e. PO43? and SiO32?) could significantly decrease the sorption of both arsenate and arsenite. Arsenite oxidation to arsenate was observed in alkaline solutions, with or without anions being present. The oxidation of arsenite was attributed to both direct and catalytic reactions with the surface functional groups on the ordered mesoporous carbon. Adsorption of arsenic on FeOMC could be well explained by the surface complexation model. Copyright © 2007 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The concept of mixed matrix membrane comprising dispersed inorganic fillers into a polymer media has revealed appealing to tune the gas separation performance. In this work, the membranes were prepared by incorporation of mesoporous silica into polyurethane (PU). Mesoporous silica particles with different pore size and structures, MCM‐41, cubic MCM‐48 and SBA‐16, were synthesized by templating method and functionalized with 3‐aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES). High porosity and aminated surface of the mesoporous silica enhance the adhesion of the particles to the PU matrix. The SEM and FTIR results showed strong interactions between the particles and the PU chains. Moreover, the thermal stability of the hybrid PUs improved compared to the pure polymer. Gas transport properties of the membranes were measured for pure CO2, CH4, O2, and N2 gases at 10 bar and 25°C. The results showed that the gas permeabilities enhanced with increasing in the loading of modified mesoporous silica particles. High porosity and amine‐functionalized particles render opportunities to enhance the gas diffusivity and solubility through the membranes. The enhanced gas transport properties of the mixed matrix membranes reveal the advantages of mesoporous silica to improve the gas permeability (CO2 permeability up to ~70) without scarifying the gas selectivity (α(CO2/N2)~ 30 for 5 wt% SBA‐16 content).  相似文献

Highly ordered mesoporous NiMoO4material was successfully synthesized using mesoporous silica KIT-6 as hard template via vacuum nanocasting method. The structure was characterized by means of XRD, TEM, N2adsorption-desorption, Raman and FT-IR. The mesoporous NiMoO4with the coexistence of α-NiMoO4and β-NiMoO4showed well-ordered mesoporous structure, a bimodal pore size distribution and crystalline framework. The catalytic performance of NiMoO4was investigated for oxidative dehydrogenation of propane. It is demonstrated that the mesoporous NiMoO4catalyst with more surface active oxygen species showed better catalytic performance in oxidative dehydrogenation of propane in comparison with bulk NiMoO4.  相似文献
