Six new stilbenoids, a (bibenzyldihydrophenanthrene) ether designated phoyunnanin D (1), a bis(dihydrophenanthrene) ether designated phoyunnanin E (2), and four stilbenes designated phoyunbene A-D (3-6), were isolated from the air-dried whole plant of Pholidota yunnanensis ROLFE. The new compounds were identified as 7-[2-(3-hydroxyphenethyl)-4-hydroxy-6-methoxyphenoxy]-4-hydroxy-2-methoxy-9,10-dihydrophenanthrene (1), 1-[(9,10-dihydro-4-hydroxy-2-methoxy-7-phenanthrenyl)oxy]-4,7-dihydroxy-2-methoxy-9,10-dihydrophenanthrene (2), trans-3,3'-dihydroxy-2',4',5-trimethoxystilbene (3), trans-3,4'-dihydroxy-2',3',5-trimethoxystilbene (4), trans-3,3'-dihydroxy-2',5-dimethoxystilbene (5), and trans-3-hydroxy-2',3',5-trimethoxystilbene (6) based on spectroscopic evidence. Furthermore, the inhibitory effects of compounds 1-6 on nitric oxide production in a murine macrophage-like cell line (RAW 264.7) activated by lipopolysaccharide and interferon-gamma were examined.  相似文献

Seven 3',8'-linked bioflavonoids, including one new compound, (2'S)-2', 3'-dihydroamentoflavone-4'-methyl ether and six known compounds: (2S)-2,3- dihydroamentoflavone-4'-methyl ether, (2S,2'S)-2,3,2',3'-tetrahydroamento- flavone-4'-methyl ether, (2S,2'S)-tetrahydroamentoflavone, (2S)-2,3-dihydro- amentoflavone and (2'S)-2',3'-dihydroamentoflavone (6) and amentoflavone, were isolated from the 60% ethanolic extract of Selaginella uncinata (Desv.) Spring. The structures of these compounds were elucidated mainly by analysis of their 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic data, and their absolute configurations were determined by circular-dichroism (CD) spectroscopy. All the seven compounds showed protective effect against anoxia in the anoxic PC12 cells assay, in which compound 6 displayed particularly potent activity.  相似文献

Two new compounds, 3'-(4'-hydroxy-3',5'-dimethoxyphenyl)-propyl benzoate (1) and 3'-(4'-hydroxyphenyl)-propyl benzoate (3) together with known compounds, 3'-(4'-hydroxy-3'-methoxyphenyl)-propyl benzoate (2), poilaneic acid (4), farnesyl acetone (5) and 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde (6) were isolated and identified from the branches of Croton hutchinsonianus. Their structures were determined by spectroscopic methods. The three phenylpropyl benzoates (1-3) were found to exhibit antifungal activity against Candida albicans (IC(50) 5.36-11.41 microg/ml). Compounds 1-2 (IC(50) 2.11-4.95 microg/ml) exhibited potent but non-selective activity against the enzymes cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) whereas 3 (IC(50) 1.88 microg/ml) preferentially inhibited the enzyme COX-2.  相似文献

Six compounds (1-6) were isolated from the methanol extract of Crinum latifolium by bioassay-guided separation. Among the six isolates, compounds 2 and 6 were new metabolites. Their structures were established as 4-senecioyloxymethyl-3,4-dimethoxycoumarin (2) and 5,6,3'-trihydroxy-7,8,4'-trimethoxyflavone (6) based on spectroscopic analyses. Compound 2 was found to be strongly inhibitory against the in vitro tube-like formation of human umbilical venous endothelial cells (HUVECs) while manifesting no cytotoxicity in tumor cell lines (B16F10, HCT116). Significant inhibitory activity (inhibition percentage, 53.5%) was still observed at concentrations as low as 1 microg/mL. Compound 6 showed a modest inhibitory effect on the tube-like formation of HUVECs. Other compounds, including cycloartenol (1), 4',7-dihydroxy-3'-methoxyflavan (3), 4',7-dihydroxyflavan (4), and 2',4',7-trihydroxydihydrochalcone (5) were found to be nearly inactive.  相似文献

Investigation of the chemical constituents of the root bark of Artocarpus rigidus BLUME subsp. rigidus has led to the isolation of six, structurally diverse phenolic compounds. These included two new compounds with modified skeletons, the flavonoid 7-demethylartonol E (1) and the chromone artorigidusin (2), together with four known phenolic compounds, the xanthone artonol B (3), the flavonoid artonin F (4), the flavonoid cycloartobiloxanthone (5), and the xanthone artoindonesianin C (6). Compounds 1, 4, and 5 exhibited antiplasmodial activity against Plasmodium falciparum. All compounds showed antimycobacterial activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis, with 4 being the most active compound (MIC 6.25 microg/ml). Compounds 5 and 6 were active against KB cells, whereas 2, 5, and 6 showed varying toxicity to BC cells. Compounds 1-3, 5, and 6 were active in the NCI-H187 cytotoxicity assay, with 3 being the most active compound (IC(50) 1.26 microg/ml).  相似文献

This paper reveals, for the first time, the functional properties of propolis from an extreme region of Argentine (El Rincón, Province of Catamarca, Argentina), as well as the isolation and identification of bioactive compounds. The antioxidant activity was determined by the ABTS method and beta-carotene bleaching. The antibacterial activity was determined on methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) by the microdilution method and bioautographic assays. Twelve compounds were isolated and identified by NMR spectroscopy. The main bioactive compounds were 2',4'-dihydroxy-3'-methoxychalcone (3), 2',4'-dihydroxychalcone (9), 2',4',4-trihydroxy-6'- methoxychalcone (8), 5-hydroxy-4',7-dimethoxyflavone (4), 4',5-dihydroxy-3,7,8-trimethoxyflavone (10) and 7-hydroxy- 5,8-dimethoxyflavone (11). All compounds were active against clinical isolates (MIC50 10 microg/mL) and displayed antioxidant activity (SC50 values of 20 microg/mL). The MIC and SC50 values of the isolated compounds were lower than those obtained with crude propolis extracts, chloroform sub-extracts and isolated fractions.  相似文献

One new and eight known ceanothane- and lupane-type triterpenes were isolated from the root bark of Ziziphus cambodiana PIERRE (Rhamnaceae). Based on spectral analyses, the structure of the new compound was elucidated as 3-O-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzoyl)ceanothic acid (3-O-vanillylceanothic acid) (1), while the known compounds were identified as lupeol (2), betulinaldehyde (3), betulinic acid (4), 2-O-E-p-coumaroyl alphitolic acid (5), alphitolic acid (6), zizyberanalic acid (7), zizyberenalic acid (8) and ceanothic acid (9). Compounds 1, 5 and 8 exhibited significant in vitro antiplasmodial activity against the parasite Plasmodium falciparum, with inhibitory concentration (IC50) values of 3.7, 0.9 and 3.0 microg/ml, respectively. Compounds 1 and 3-8 showed antimycobacterial activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis with respective MIC values of 25, 25, 25, 12.5, 50, 50 and 100 microg/ml.  相似文献

Three fatty acid esters, (E)-4-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)but-3-en-1-yl linoleate (1), (E)-4-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)but-3-en-1-yl oleate (2), and (E)-4-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)but-3-en-1-yl palmitate (3), originated during storage by the interaction of components in Prasaplai, were synthesized. These three artificial esters were subjected to four biological evaluations. All three compounds were active against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H(37)Ra for which compounds 1 and 3 had inhibitory concentration at 200 microg mL(-1) while compound 2 inhibited at 100 microg mL(-1). When all these compounds were subjected to anti-HSV-1 test, compound 2 showed positive activity at 42.6 microg mL(-1) without any cytotoxic activity against human vero cell line while compound 3 had the cytotoxicity to vero cell at IC(50) 38 microg mL(-1). Compound 1 was inactive for this test.  相似文献

Bioassay guided isolation of an antibacterial extract prepared from the fermentation broth of a Micromonospora sp. P1068 led to the isolation of eight compounds identified as (3R) 3,4',7-trihydroxy-isoflavanone (1), 3-hydroxydehydrodaidzein, daidzein (2), 3-methyl-1H-indole-2-carboxylic acid (3), 1H-indole-3-carboxaldehyde (4), 3-(p-hydroxyphenyl)-N-methylpropionamide, N-methylphloretamide (5), phenyl acetic acid (6), 2-hydroxy phenyl acetic acid (7) and 4-hydroxy-5-methoxy-benzoic acid (8). Compounds 1 and 5 were found to be novel chemical entities while 3 was isolated from a natural source for the first time. All compounds were evaluated for their antimicrobial activities against a panel of clinically significant microorganisms. Compound 4 was active against Staphylococcus aureus (MIC, 32 microg/ml), Enterococcus faecium (MIC, 32 microg/ml) and Escherichia coli (MIC, 64 microg/ml).  相似文献
