A TiO2 membrane supported on a planar porous Ti–Al alloy was prepared by combination of electrophoretic deposition and dip-coating. In the electrophoretic deposition process, the membrane thickness increased linearly with the square root of the deposition time, while increased with decrease of the suspension viscosity. The perfect TiO2/Ti–Al composite membrane was obtained by further dip-coating modification. SEM images showed that the surface of the membrane was defect-free. XRD result indicated that rutile TiO2 still remained in the membrane bulk as the main phase, while a new phase titanium oxides with the form of TixOy, where y is less than 2x, was also observed. The supported TiO2/Ti–Al composite membrane had an average pore size of 0.28 μm, a thickness of 40 μm or so and a pure water flux of 3037 L m−2 h−1 bar−1.  相似文献

Mesoporous TiO2 nanoparticles were synthesized with the hydrothermal method and characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) and transmission electron microscope (TEM). Then a superior solid-phase microextraction (SPME) fiber was fabricated by sequentially coating the stainless steel fiber with silicone sealant film and mesoporous TiO2 powder. The developed fiber possessed a homogeneous surface and a long life-span up to 100 times at direct immersing (DI) extraction mode. Under the optimized conditions, the extraction efficiencies of the self-made 17 μm TiO2 fiber for six organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) were higher than those of the two commercial fibers (65 μm PDMS/DVB and 85 μm PA fibers) which were much thicker than the former. As for analytical performance, low detection limits (0.08–0.60 ng L−1) and wide linearity (5–5000 ng L−1) were achieved under the optimal conditions. The repeatabilities (n = 5) for single fiber were between 2.8 and 12.3%, while the reproducibilities (n = 3) of fiber-to-fiber were in the range of 3.7–15.7%. The proposed fiber was successfully applied to the sensitive analysis of OCPs in real water samples and four of the six analytes were detected from the rainwater and the lake water samples.  相似文献

Nanostructured TiO2/ZrO2 composite membranes with varying compositions were obtained by sol–gel technique. The influence of 0–30 mol% zirconia doping on microstructure, water permeability, photocatalytic and physical separation properties, removal of methyl violet of textile industries wastewater and thermal and mechanical stability of titania/zirconia composite membranes was described. Firstly, alumina supports were coated with TiO2 intermediate layers using the colloidal sol–gel route. The TiO2/ZrO2 composite sols were prepared via a polymeric sol–gel method and dip-coated on TiO2 intermediate layer. The samples were characterized by DLS, TG-DTA, XRD, FTIR, BET-BJH, UV–visible, SEM, TEM and AFM. It was shown that zirconia retards the phase transformation of anatase to rutile until at least 700 °C. The minimum pore size and maximum surface area obtained were 1.2 nm and 153 m2/g, respectively, attributed to the sample with 20 mol% zirconia. The mechanical strength of titania membranes was significantly improved by addition of zirconia. The most methyl violet removal efficiency obtained, with and without UV-irradiation, is 80.8 and 72.6%, respectively, attributed to the sample with 20 mol% zirconia.  相似文献

Hydrophobic silver and titanium (IV) oxide nanoparticles (commercial Ag and TiO2 NPs with average particle sizes of 17 and 19 nm, respectively) were quantitatively transferred into organic phase in natural water samples. Five NP surface modification and solvent extraction agents (reagents) types, mercaptocarboxylic acid, alkylamine, mediator solvent, extraction solvent, and surfactant, were investigated and optimized with three-level orthogonal array design (OAD), an OA27 (313) matrix. The most favorable reagents and experimental conditions were then examined. The best extraction efficiencies of 78.6 and 73.7% were obtained for 1 mg L−1 citrate-stabilized Ag and TiO2 NPs, respectively, with 0.5 mM of 11-mercaptoundecanoic acid, 1.5 mM of octadecylamine, 1 mL of methanol, 150 μL of cyclohexane, 0.05 mM of tetra-n-octylammonium bromide, pH = 8.0, adsorption time of 2 h, sonication time of 3 min, and centrifugation time of 10 min. Enrichment factors were 97 and 83, for Ag and TiO2 NPs, respectively. The optimum extraction conditions were successfully applied to genuine water samples at spiking levels of 2–100 μg L−1 of Ag and TiO2 NPs. The relative recoveries of (69.0–85.1)% and (61.5–78.5)% were obtained for Ag and TiO2 NPs, respectively. The extracted surface-modified NPs were characterized with transmission electron microscopy, selected area electron diffraction, energy-dispersive X-ray, ultraviolet–visible, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopic techniques. Based on the results, efficient ligand exchange and acid–base pair formation were observed on the NP surface without significant change in its original properties. The organic phase was microwave digested, and analyzed with inductively coupled plasma (ICP) optical emission spectroscopy and ICP mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). Detection limits of ICP-MS analyses of Ag and TiO2 NPs were 0.02 and 0.07 μg L−1, respectively.  相似文献

SiO2/TiO2 composite microspheres with microporous SiO2 core/mesoporous TiO2 shell structures were prepared by hydrolysis of titanium tetrabutylorthotitanate (TTBT) in the presence of microporous silica microspheres using hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC) as a surface esterification agent and porous template, and then dried and calcined at different temperatures. The as-prepared products were characterized with differential thermal analysis and thermogravimetric (DTA/TG), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), nitrogen adsorption. The results showed that composite particles were about 1.8 μm in diameter, and had a spherical morphology and a narrow size distribution. Uniform mesoporous titania coatings on the surfaces of microporous silica microspheres could be obtained by adjusting the HPC concentration to an optimal concentration of about 3.2 mmol L−1. The anatase and rutile phase in the SiO2/TiO2 composite microspheres began to form at 700 and 900 °C, respectively. At 700 °C, the specific surface area and pore volume of the SiO2/TiO2 composite microspheres were 552 and 0.652 mL g−1, respectively. However, at 900 °C, the specific surface area and pore volume significantly decreased due to the phase transformation from anatase to rutile.  相似文献

To obtain porous TiO2 film, the precursor sol was prepared by hydrolysis of Ti isopropoxide and then complexed with trehalose dihydrate. The porous TiO2 film was fabricated by the dip-coating technique on glass substrates using this solution. The TiO2 film was calcined at 500 °C. The maximum thickness of the film from one-run dip-coating was ca. 740 nm. The film was composed of nanosized particle and pores. The porosity of the TiO2 film was increased by addition of trehalose dihydrate to the sol. The porous TiO2 films were calcined at different temperatures. The effects of calcination temperature on the microstructure of the porous TiO2 film were investigated. The porous film prepared from sol containing trehalose still kept the porous structure after calcination at 950 °C. The phase transition temperature of the film from anatase to rutile was shifted from 650 to 700 °C by addition of trehalose to the sol.  相似文献

This paper describes a simultaneously performed two-/three-phase hollow-fiber-based liquid-phase microextraction (HF-LPME) method for the determination of aromatic amines with a wide range of pKa (−4.25 to 4.6) and log KOW (0.9–2.8) values in environmental water samples. Analytes including aniline, 4-nitroaniline, 2,4-dinitroaniline and dicloran were extracted from basic aqueous samples (donor phase, DP) into the microliter volume of organic membrane phase impregnated into the pores of the polypropylene hollow fiber wall, then back extracted into the acidified aqueous solution (acceptor phase, AP) filling in the lumen of the hollow fiber. The mass transfer of the analytes from the donor phase through the organic membrane phase into acceptor phase was driven by both the counter-coupled transport of hydrogen ions and the pH gradient. Afterwards, the hollow fiber was eluted with 50 μL methanol to capture the analytes from both the organic membrane and the acceptor phase. Factors relevant to the enrichment factors (EFs) were investigated. Under the optimized condition (DP: 100 mL of 0.1 M NaOH with 2 M Na2SO4; organic phase: di-n-hexyl with 8% trioctylphosphine oxide (TOPO); AP: 10 μL of 8 M HCl; extraction time of 80 min), the obtained EFs were 405–2000, dynamic linear ranges were 5–200 μg/L (R > 0.9976), and limits of detection were 0.5–1.5 μg/L. The presence of humic acid (0–25 mg/L dissolved organic carbon) had no significant effect on the extraction efficiency. The proposed procedure worked very well for real environmental water samples with microgram per liter level of analytes, and good spike recoveries (80–103%) were obtained.  相似文献

By using ionic liquid as membrane liquid and tri-n-octylphosphine oxide (TOPO) as additive, hollow fiber supported liquid phase microextraction (HF-LPME) was developed for the determination of five sulfonamides in environmental water samples by high-performance liquid chromatography with ultraviolet detection The extraction solvent and the parameters affecting the extraction enrichment factor such as the type and amount of carrier, pH and volume ratio of donor phase and acceptor phase, extraction time, salt-out effect and matrix effect were optimized. Under the optimal extraction conditions (organic liquid membrane phase: [C8MIM][PF6] with 14% TOPO (w/v); donor phase: 4 mL, pH 4.5 KH2PO4 with 2 M Na2SO4; acceptor phase: 25 μL, pH 13 NaOH; extraction time: 8 h), low detection limits (0.1–0.4 μg/L, RSD ≤ 5%) and good linear range (1–2000 ng/mL, R2 ≥ 0.999) were obtained for all the analytes. The presence of humic acid (0–25 mg/L dissolved organic carbon) and bovine serum albumin (0–100 μg/mL) had no significant effect on the extraction efficiency. Good spike recoveries over the range of 82.2–103.2% were obtained when applying the proposed method on five real environmental water samples. These results indicated that this present method was very sensitive and reliable with good repeatabilities and excellent clean-up in water samples. The proposed method confirmed hollow fiber supported ionic liquid membrane based LPME to be robust to monitoring trace levels of sulfadiazine, sulfamerazine, sulfamethazine, sulfadimethoxine and sulfamethoxazole in aqueous samples.  相似文献

We have demonstrated a facile approach for fabricating graphene quantum dots–TiO2 (GQDs–TiO2) nanocomposites by a simple physical adsorption method. Compared with pure GQDs and TiO2 nanoparticles (NPs), the as-prepared GQDs–TiO2 nanocomposites showed enhanced photoelectrochemical (PEC) signal under visible-light irradiation. The photocurrent of GQDs–TiO2/GCE was nearly 30-fold and 12-fold enhancement than that of GQDs/GCE and TiO2/GCE, respectively, which was attributed to the synergistic amplification between TiO2 NPs and GQDs. More interestingly, the photocurrent of GQDs–TiO2 nanocomposites was selectively sensitized by dopamine (DA), and enhanced with the increasing of DA concentration. Further, a new PEC methodology for ultrasensitive determination of DA was developed, which showed linearly enhanced photocurrent by increasing the DA concentration from 0.02 to 105 μM with a detection limit of 6.7 nM (S/N = 3) under optimized conditions. This strategy opens up a new avenue for the application of GQDs-based nanocomposites in the field of PEC sensing and monitoring.  相似文献

Free-standing anion-exchange polyethylene oxide (PEO)–SiO2 hybrid membranes with higher flexibility and good mechanical strength (tensile strength (TS) as high as 20.55 MPa) as well as high temperature tolerance (thermal degradation temperature in air, Td, in the range of 220–240 °C) were prepared through sol–gel reaction of different precursors: charged alkoxysilane-functionalized PEO-1000 (PEO-[Si(OCH3)3]2(+)), N-triethoxysilylpropyl-N,N,N-trimethylammonium iodine (A-1100(+)), monophenyltriethoxysilane (EPh) and in some cases also tetraethoxysilane (TEOS). Properties of the hybrid membranes, such as the thermal stability, tensile properties, hydrophilicity, and electrical performances, can be controlled by changing the feed ratio of the different sol–gel precursors. The results showed that some of the membranes have relatively good conductivity (∼0.003 S/cm) and so may find potential applications in alkaline membrane fuel cells.  相似文献

Titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticles (NPs) with different sizes and structures were probed for plausible cytotoxicity using electric cell-substrate impedance sensing (ECIS), a non-invasive and on-line procedure for continuous monitoring of cytotoxicity. For insect cells (Spodoptera frugiperda Sf9), the ECIS50 values, i.e., the concentration required to achieve 50% inhibition of the response, differed depending on the size and shape of the TiO2 nanostructure. The lowest ECIS50 value (158 ppm) was observed for the needle shaped rutile TiO2 (10 nm × 40 nm, 15.5 nm nominal particle size), followed by 211 ppm for P-25 (34.1 nm, 80% anatase and 20% rutile), 302 ppm for MTI5 (5.9 nm, 99% anatase) and 417 ppm for Hombitan LW-S bulk TiO2 (169.5 nm, 99% anatase). Exposure of TiO2 NPs to UV light at 254 nm or 365 nm exhibited no significant effect on the ECIS50 value due to the aggregation of TiO2 NPs with diminishing photocatalytic activities. Chinese hamster lung fibroblast V79 cells, exhibited no significant cytotoxicity/inhibition up to 400 ppm with P25, MTI5 and bulk TiO2. However, a noticeable inhibitory effect was observed (ECIS50 value of 251 ppm) with rutile TiO2 as cell spreading on the electrode surface was prevented  相似文献

Cardo polyetherketone (PEK-C) composite membranes were prepared by casting glutaraldehyde (GA) cross-linked sulfonated cardo polyetherketone (SPEK-C) or silicotungstic acid (STA) filled SPEK-C and poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) blending onto a PEK-C substrate. The compatibility between the active layer and PEK-C substrate is improved by immersing the PEK-C substrate in a GA cross-linked sodium alginate (NaAlg) solution and using water–dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) as a co-solvent for preparing the STA-PVA-SPEK-C/GA active layer. The pervaporation (PV) dehydration of acetic acid shows that permeation flux decreased and separation factor increased with increasing GA content in the homogeneous membranes. The permeation flux achieved a minimum and the separation factor a maximum when the GA content increased to a certain amount. Thereafter the permeation flux increased and the separation factor decreased with further increasing the GA content. The PV performance of the composite membranes is superior to that of the homogeneous membranes when the feed water content is below 25 wt%. The permeation activation energy of the composite membranes is lower than that of the homogeneous membranes in the PV dehydration of 10 wt% water in acetic acid. The STA-PVA-SPEK-C-GA/PEK-C composite membrane using water–DMSO as co-solvent has an excellent separation performance with a flux of 592 g m−2 h−1 and a separation factor of 91.2 at a feed water content of 10 wt% at 50 °C.  相似文献

Pervaporation was used for removal of butan-1-ol from its 5 wt.% of aqueous solution, at which the concentration of Clostridium acetobutylicum starts to decrease. The polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) membrane containing 0, 10, 20 or 30 wt.% of benzyl-3-butylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([BBIM][BF4]) ionic liquid was used. Differential scanning calorimetry measurements showed that PDMS-[BBIM][BF4] membranes (though optically homogeneous) contained PDMS and [BBIM][BF4] phases. Pervaporation selectivity increased and total flux through membranes raised moderately with an increased content of [BBIM][BF4] in PDMS-[BBIM][BF4] membranes. Hence, immobilization of a proper ionic liquid in a membrane results in the creation of pervaporation membranes, effective in the removal of alcohol from fermentation broths.  相似文献

Titanate nanofibers were synthesized by hydrothermal method (150 °C for 72 h) using natural rutile sand as the starting materials. TiO2 (B) and anatase TiO2 (high crystallinity) nanofibers with the diameters of 20-100 nm and the lengths of 10-100 μm were obtained by calcined titanate nanofibers for 4 h at 400 and 700 °C (in air), respectively. The samples characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM, SAED, HRTEM, and BET surface area. This synthesis method provides a simple route to fabricate one-dimensional nanostructured TiO2 from low cost material.  相似文献

The permeability of hydrogen selective Pd-based membranes was tested in different experimental conditions. The membranes were obtained by depositing palladium–silver films onto ceramic porous supports, with film composition of about 20 wt% of silver and thicknesses of about 2.5 μm. Their permeance was measured at 400 °C at total trans-membrane pressures between 0.2 and 6 bar, using pure feeds of H2 and N2, as well as H2/N2 and H2/CO mixtures; the temperature dependence of permeability was investigated using pure H2 feeds at 300, 400 and 500 °C. The membranes exhibit a very attractive behavior, maintaining a virtually infinite selectivity throughout the testing, with permeance values among the highest values reported in literature for similar membranes. Permeation of pure hydrogen accurately follows Sieverts’ law and confirms the presence of a chemisorption–dissociation–diffusion mechanism, characterised by the transport of atomic hydrogen through the Pd–Ag layer as the limiting step. In the case of H2/N2 mixtures, the high membrane permeance originates also significant concentration polarization phenomena resulting in apparent deviations from Sieverts’ behavior; the presence of CO in the feed may reduce hydrogen permeability even by 75%, although this effect is shown to be fully reversible after a subsequent air treatment at 400 °C. The temperature dependence of the membrane permeability is of Arrhenius type, with an activation energy of about 17 kJ/mol, that is, close to what is reported for Pd–Ag membranes following Sieverts’ behavior.  相似文献

In this communication, a porous stainless steel (PSS) tube was electrolessly plated into Pd–Ag membrane reactor which was used for separating hydrogen produced in an ethanol steam reforming reaction with the addition of oxygen, which has not been reported before. Palladium and silver were deposited on porous stainless steel tube via the sequential electroless plating procedure with an overall film thickness of 20 μm and Pd/Ag weight ratio of 78/22. Ethanol–water mixture (nwater/nethanol = 1 or 3) and oxygen (noxygen/nethanol = 0.2 or 0.7) were fed concurrently into the membrane reactor packed with MDC-3. The reaction temperatures were set at 593–723 K and the pressures 3–10 atm. The effect of oxygen addition plays a vital role on the ethanol steam reforming reaction, especially for the Pd–Ag membrane reactor in which a higher flux of hydrogen is required. If oxygen in the feed is not sufficient, it would be possible that steam reforming reaction prevails. Inversely, high O2 addition will shift the reaction scenario to be partial oxidation dominating, and selectivity of CO2 increases with increasing oxygen feed. At high pressure, autothermal reaction of ethanol would be easily reached.  相似文献

Novel organic–inorganic hybrid membranes were prepared through sol–gel reaction of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) with γ-aminopropyl-triethoxysilane (APTEOS) for pervaporation (PV) separation of ethanol/water mixtures. The membranes were characterized by FTIR, EDX, WXRD and PALS. The amorphous region of the hybrid membranes increased with increasing APTEOS content, and both the free volume and the hydrophilicity of the hybrid membranes increased when APTEOS content was less than 5 wt%. The swelling degree of the hybrid membranes has been restrained in an aqueous solution owing to the formation of hydrogen and covalent bonds in the membrane matrix. Permeation flux increased remarkably with APTEOS content increasing, and water permselectivity increased at the same time, the trade-off between the permeation flux and water permselectivity of the hybrid membranes was broken. The sorption selectivity increased with increasing temperature, and decreased with increasing water content. In addition, the diffusion selectivity and diffusion coefficient of the permeants through the hybrid membranes were investigated. The hybrid membrane containing 5 wt% APTEOS has highest separation factor of 536.7 at 50 °C and permeation flux of 0.0355 kg m−2 h−1 in PV separation of 5 wt% water in the feed.  相似文献

A titanium dioxide–silicon carbide nanohybrid (TiO2–SiC) with enhanced electrochemical performance was successfully prepared through a facile generic in situ growth strategy. Monodispersed ultrafine palladium nanoparticles (Pd NPs) with a uniform size of ∼2.3 nm were successfully obtained on the TiO2–SiC surface via a chemical reduction method. The Pd-loaded TiO2–SiC nanohybrid (Pd@TiO2–SiC) was characterized by transmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffractometry. A method for the simultaneous electrochemical determination of hydroquinone (HQ) and bisphenol A (BPA) using a Pd@TiO2–SiC nanocomposite-modified glassy carbon electrode was established. Utilizing the favorable properties of Pd NPs, the Pd@TiO2–SiC nanohybrid-modified glassy carbon electrode exhibited electrochemical performance superior to those of TiO2–SiC and SiC. Differential pulse voltammetry was successfully used to simultaneously quantify HQ and BPA within the concentration range of 0.01–200 μM under optimal conditions. The detection limits (S/N = 3) of the Pd@TiO2–SiC nanohybrid electrode for HQ and BPA were 5.5 and 4.3 nM, respectively. The selectivity of the electrochemical sensor was improved by introducing 10% ethanol to the buffer medium. The practical application of the modified electrode was demonstrated by the simultaneous detection of HQ and BPA in tap water and wastewater samples. The simple and straightforward strategy presented in this paper are important for the facile fabrication of ultrafine metal NPs@metal oxide–SiC hybrids with high electrochemical performance and catalytic activity.  相似文献

A comparative study of TiO2 powders prepared by sol–gel methods is presented. Titanium tetraisopropoxide was used as the precursor for the sol–gel processes. The effects of the annealing treatment on phase, crystallite size, porosity and photodegradation of dyes (methyl orange and methylene blue) were studied. The phase structure, microstructure and surface properties of the films were characterized by using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). The X-ray diffraction was used for crystal phase identification, for the accurate estimation of the anatase–rutile ratio and for the crystallite size evaluation of each polymorph in the samples. It was found that the only TiO2 anatase phase of the synthesized TiO2 develops below 500 °C, between 600 and 800 °C the anatase coexist with rutile and above 800 °C only the rutile phase was found in the samples. Attention has been paid not only to crystal structures, but also to the porosity, the particle size and the photocatalytic properties. However, the annealing temperature was found to have significant influence on the photocatalytic properties. Different TiO2 doctor blade thin films were obtained mixing the sol gel powder (100% anatase) and TiO2 Aldrich with TiO2 Degussa P25. The surfactant (Triton X100 or sodium dodecyl sulfate) affects the packing density of the particles during deposition and the photocatalytic degradation efficiency of the dyes. The photocatalytic degradation kinetics of methyl orange and methylene blue using TiO2 thin film were investigated.  相似文献
