A phenol-based "end-off" compartmental ligand, 2-[N-[2-(dimethylamino)ethyl]iminomethyl]-6-[N,N-di(2-pyridylmethyl)aminomethyl]-4-methylphenol (HL), having a bidentate arm and a tridentate arm attached to the 2 and 6 positions of the phenolic ring, has afforded the following heterodinuclear M(a)(II)M(b)(II) complexes: [CuM(L)(AcO)(2)]ClO(4) (M = Mn (1), Fe (2), Co (3), Ni (4), Zn (5)), [ZnM(L)(AcO)(2)]ClO(4) (M = Co (6), Ni (7)), and [CuNi(L)(AcO)(NCS)(2)] (8). 1.MeOH (1'), 2.MeOH (2'), 3.MeOH (3'), 4.MeOH (4'), 5.MeOH (5'), and 7.MeOH (7') are isostructural and have a heterodinuclear core bridged by the phenolic oxygen atom of L(-) and two acetate groups. In 1'-5' the Cu(II) is bound to the bidentate arm and has a square-pyramidal geometry with one acetate oxygen at the apical site. The M(II) is bound to the tridentate arm and has a six-coordinate geometry together with two acetate oxygen atoms. In the case of 7' the Zn is bound to the bidentate arm and the Ni is bound to the tridentate arm. 8.2-PrOH (8') has a dinuclear core bridged by the phenolic oxygen atom of L(-) and one acetate group. The Cu bound to the bidentate arm has a square-pyramidal geometry with an isothiocyanate group at the apical site. The Ni bound to the tridentate arm has a six-coordinate geometry with further coordination of an isothiocyanate group. The site specificity of the metal ions is discussed together with the crystal structure of [Cu(4)(L)(2)(AcO)(3)](ClO(4))(3).H(2)O (9) prepared in this work.  相似文献

The tppz-bridged diruthenium(II) complex [(dpk)(Cl)Ru(II)(mu-tppz)Ru(II)(Cl)(dpk)](ClO4)2, [2](ClO4)2, and mononuclear [(dpk)(Cl)Ru(II)(tppz)](ClO4), [1](ClO4) [tppz = 2,3,5,6-tetrakis(2-pyridyl)pyrazine, dpk = 2,2'-dipyridylketone], have been synthesized. The 260 mV separation between successive one-electron oxidation couples in [2]2+ translates to a relatively small comproportionation constant, Kc, of 2.5 x 10(4) for the intermediate. It is shown how electrochemical data (E(ox), E(red), Kc) reflect the donor/acceptor effects of ancillary ligands L in a series of systems [(L)ClRu(mu-tppz)RuCl(L)]n, particularly the competition between L and tppz for electron density from the metal. According to EPR (g1 = 2.470, g2 = 2.195, and g3 = 1.873 at 4 K) the intermediate [2]3+ is a mixed-valent Ru(II)Ru(III) species which shows a rather narrow intervalence charge transfer (IVCT) band at 1800 nm (epsilon = 1500 M(-1) cm(-1)). The width at half-height (Deltanu(1/2)) of 700 cm(-1) of the IVCT band is much smaller than the calculated value of 3584 cm(-1), obtained by using the Hush formula Deltanu(1/2) = (2310E(op))(1/2) (E(op) = 5556 cm(-1), energy of the IVCT transition) which would be applicable to localized (Class II) mixed-valent Ru(II)Ru(III) systems. Valence delocalization in [2]3+ is supported by the uniform shift of the nu(C=O) band of the N,N'-coordinated dpk ligands from 1676 cm(-1) in the Ru(II)Ru(II) precursor to 1690 cm(-1) in the Ru(2.5)Ru(2.5) form, illustrating the use of the dpk acceptor to act as reporter ligand via the free but pi-conjugated organic carbonyl group. The apparent contradiction between the moderate value of Kc and the narrow IVCT band is being discussed considering "borderline" or "hybrid" "Class II-III" concepts of mixed-valency, as well as coordination aspects, i.e., the bis-tridentate nature of the pi-acceptor bridging ligand. Altogether, the complex ions [1]+ and [2]2+ display four and five successive reduction processes, respectively, involving both tppz- and dpk-based unoccupied pi orbitals. The one-electron reduced form [2]+ has been assigned as a tppz*- radical-anion-containing species which exhibits a free-radical-type EPR signal at 4K (g(parallel) = 2.002, g(perpendicular) = 1.994) and one moderately intense ligand-based low-energy band at 965 nm (epsilon = 1100 M(-1) cm(-1)).  相似文献

The crystals of heterospin complexes [M(hfac)(2)L(2)] (where M = Cu, Ni, Co, or Mn; hfac = hexafluoroacetylacetonate; and L = nitronyl nitroxide, 4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-2-(1-methyl-1H-imidazol-5-yl)-4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazole-3-oxide-1-oxyl) were found to make unusual jumping motions. Under ambient conditions, the jumping and various displacements of crystals lasted for several weeks. The mechanical motion was accompanied by the cracking and disintegration of crystals, and a solid [M(hfac)(2)(L(1))(2)] complex with the corresponding imino nitroxide 4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-2-(1-methyl-1H-imidazol-5-yl)-4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazole-1-oxyl (L(1)) was detected. The jumping was accompanied by the spontaneous elimination of oxygen, the source of which was the nitronyl nitroxyl fragment of coordinated L. An X-ray study of [M(hfac)(2)L(2)] (where M = Cu, Ni, Co, or Mn) showed that the molecular structure of all [M(hfac)(2)L(2)] and their packing in the solid state were identical. The packing of [M(hfac)(2)L(2)] was concluded to be critical to the mechanical effect. In complexes with different stoichiometries or different sets of diamagnetic ligands ([Cu(hfac)(2)L](2), [Cu(hfac)(acac)L]·EtOH, [CuPiv(2)L(2)]·2CH(2)Cl(2), and [Cu(hfac)(2)L(2)Cu(2)Piv(4)]·3C(7)H(8) (where acac is acetylacetonate and Piv is trimethylacetate), or free L), the effect vanished when the packing changed.  相似文献

The three novel heterotrimetallic complexes [Ni(H2L)2][CoCu(L)2(H2L)(NCS)]2(NCS)2 (1), [Ni(H2L)2][CuCo(L)2(H2L)(NCS)]2Br2.2H2O (2), and [CuCoCd(H2L)2(L)2(NCS)Br2].CH3OH (3) have been prepared using zerovalent copper; cobalt thiocyanate; nickel thiocyanate (1), nickel bromide (2), or cadmium bromide (3); and methanol solutions of diethanolamine in air. The most prominent feature of the structures of 1 and 2 is the formation of the "pentanuclear"aggregate [[Ni(H2L)2][CoCu(L)2(H2L)(NCS)]2]2+ made up of two neutral [CoCu(L)2(H2L)(NCS)] units and the previously unknown cation [Ni(H2L)2]2+ "glued together" by strong complementary hydrogen bonds. With Cd2+ instead of Ni2+, a different structure is obtained: the [CoCu(L)2(H2L)(NCS)] unit is now linked to the Cd center through coordination of the oxygens of L groups on the Co atom to form the discrete heterotrimetallic molecular species 3. Cryomagnetic measurements of the compounds show that, in all cases, the magnetic behavior is paramagnetic; the polycrystalline EPR spectra contain signals due to monomeric copper species only. At the same time, the EPR spectra of frozen DMF and methanol solutions of 1-3 reveal the presence of triplet-state species that can be generated only by a coupling of the Cu2+ centers within a dimer. The species responsible for the appearance of transitions within the triplet state are thought to be Cu(II) dimeric centers formed by aggregation of two [CuCo(H2L)(L)2] fragments of 1-3 present in solution. The residual monomeric spectra in the g approximately 2 region are indicative of the existence of an equilibrium in solution between the dimeric and monomeric Cu(II) centers in aggregated and free [CuCo(H2L)(L)2] fragments, respectively, with varying degrees of stability. The fragmentation process of 1-3 in solution was screened by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry.  相似文献

Nitrosyl complexes with {Ru-NO} (6) and {Ru-NO} (7) configurations have been isolated in the framework of [Ru(trpy)(L)(NO)] ( n+ ) [trpy = 2,2':6',2'-terpyridine, L = 2-phenylimidazo[4,5- f]1,10-phenanthroline] as the perchlorate salts [ 4](ClO 4) 3 and [ 4](ClO 4) 2, respectively. Single crystals of protonated material [ 4-H (+)](ClO 4) 4.2H 2O reveal a Ru-N-O bond angle of 176.1(7) degrees and triply bonded N-O with a 1.127(9) A bond length. Structures were also determined for precursor compounds of [ 4] (3+) in the form of [Ru(trpy)(L)(Cl)](ClO 4).4.5H 2O and [Ru(trpy)(L-H)(CH 3CN)](ClO 4) 3.H 2O. In agreement with largely NO centered reduction, a sizable shift in nu(NO) frequency was observed on moving from [ 4] (3+) (1953 cm (-1)) to [ 4] (2+) (1654 cm (-1)). The Ru (II)-NO* in isolated or electrogenerated [ 4] (2+) exhibits an EPR spectrum with g 1 = 2.020, g 2 = 1.995, and g 3 = 1.884 in CH 3CN at 110 K, reflecting partial metal contribution to the singly occupied molecular orbital (SOMO); (14)N (NO) hyperfine splitting ( A 2 = 30 G) was also observed. The plot of nu(NO) versus E degrees ({RuNO} (6) --> {RuNO} (7)) for 12 analogous complexes [Ru(trpy)(L')(NO)] ( n+ ) exhibits a linear trend. The electrophilic Ru-NO (+) species [ 4] (3+) is transformed to the corresponding Ru-NO 2 (-) system in the presence of OH (-) with k = 2.02 x 10 (-4) s (-1) at 303 K. In the presence of a steady flow of dioxygen gas, the Ru (II)-NO* state in [ 4] (2+) oxidizes to [ 4] (3+) through an associatively activated pathway (Delta S++ = -190.4 J K (-1) M (-1)) with a rate constant ( k [s (-1)]) of 5.33 x 10 (-3). On irradiation with light (Xe lamp), the acetonitrile solution of paramagnetic [Ru(trpy)(L)(NO)] (2+) ([ 4] (2+)) undergoes facile photorelease of NO ( k NO = 2.0 x 10 (-1) min (-1) and t 1/2 approximately 3.5 min) with the concomitant formation of the solvate [Ru (II)(trpy)(L)(CH 3CN)] (2+) [ 2'] (2+). The photoreleased NO can be trapped as an Mb-NO adduct.  相似文献

We have synthesized ditopic ligands L(1), L(2), and L(3) that contain two DO3A(3-) metal-chelating units with a xylene core as a noncoordinating linker (DO3A(3-) = 1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane-1,4,7-triacetate; L(1) = 1,4-bis{[4,7,10-tris(carboxymethyl)-1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane-1-yl]methyl}benzene; L(2) = 1,3-bis{[4,7,10-tris(carboxymethyl)-1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane-1-yl]methyl}benzene; L(3) = 3,5-bis{[4,7,10-tris(carboxymethyl)-1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane-1-yl]methyl}benzoic acid). Aqueous solutions of the dinuclear Gd(III) complexes formed with the three ligands have been investigated in a variable-temperature, multiple-field (17)O NMR and (1)H relaxivity study. The (17)O longitudinal relaxation rates measured for the [Gd(2)L(1-3)(H2O)(2)] complexes show strong field dependence (2.35-9.4 T), which unambiguously proves the presence of slowly tumbling entities in solution. The proton relaxivities of the complexes, which are unexpectedly high for their molecular weight, and in particular the relaxivity peaks observed at 40-50 MHz also constitute experimental evidences of slow rotational motion. This was explained in terms of self-aggregation related to hydrophobic interactions, pi stacking between the aromatic linkers, or possible hydrogen bonding between the chelates. The longitudinal (17)O relaxation rates of the [Gd(2)L(1-3)(H2O)(2)] complexes have been analysed with the Lipari-Szabo approach, leading to local rotational correlation times tau(1)(298) of 150-250 ps and global rotational correlation times tau(g)(298) of 1.6-3.4 ns (c(Gd): 20-50 mM), where tau(1)(298) is attributed to local motions of the Gd segments, while tau(g)(298) describes the overall motion of the aggregates. The aggregates can be partially disrupted by phosphate addition; however, at high concentrations phosphate interferes in the first coordination sphere by replacing the coordinated water. In contrast to the parent [Gd(DO3A)(H2O)(1.9)], which presents a hydration equilibrium between mono- and dihydrated species, a hydration number of q = 1 was established for the [Ln(2)L(1-3)(H2O)(2)] chelates by (17)O chemical shift measurements on Ln = Gd and UV/Vis spectrophotometry for Ln = Eu. The exchange rate of the coordinated water is higher for [Gd(2)L(1-3)(H2O)(2)] complexes k(ex)(298) = 7.5-12.0 x 10(6) s(-1)) than for [Gd(DOTA)(H2O)](-). The proton relaxivity of the [Gd(2)L(1-3)(H2O)(2)] complexes strongly decreases with increasing pH. This is related to the deprotonation of the inner-sphere water, which has also been characterized by pH potentiometry. The protonation constants determined for this process are logK(OH) = 9.50 and 10.37 for [Gd(2)L(1)(H2O)(2)] and [Gd(2)L(3)(H2O)(2)], respectively.  相似文献

Strapping two salicylaldoxime units together with aliphatic α,Ω-aminomethyl links in the 3-position gives ligands which allow the assembly of the polynuclear complexes [Fe(7)O(2)(OH)(6)(H(2)L1)(3)(py)(6)](BF(4))(5)·6H(2)O·14MeOH (1·6H(2)O·14MeOH), [Fe(6)O(OH)(7)(H(2)L2)(3)](BF(4))(3)·4H(2)O·9MeOH (2·4H(2)O·9MeOH) and [Mn(6)O(2)(OH)(2)(H(2)L1)(3)(py)(4)(MeCN)(2)](BF(4))(5)(NO(3))·3MeCN·H(2)O·5py (3·3MeCN·H(2)O·5py). In each case the metallic skeleton of the cluster is based on a trigonal prism in which two [M(III)(3)O] triangles are tethered together via three helically twisted double-headed oximes. The latter are present as H(2)L(2-) in which the oximic and phenolic O-atoms are deprotonated and the amino N-atoms protonated, with the oxime moieties bridging across the edges of the metal triangles. Both the identity of the metal ion and the length of the straps connecting the salicylaldoxime units have a major impact on the nuclearity and topology of the resultant cluster, with, perhaps counter-intuitively, the longer straps producing the "smallest" molecules.  相似文献

The ligand 3-[2,2'-methylenebis(4,6-di- tert-butylphenol)-5- tert-butylsalicylidene-(2,6-diisopropyl)phenylimine] (L(1)H 3) was reacted with MCl 4 (M = Ti, Zr) or MCl 5 (M = Nb, Ta) to give complexes of the type [MCl 2(L(1)H 2) 2] (M = Ti (1); Zr (2)), [NbCl 3( L (1)H)] (3), or [TaCl 4(L(1)H 2)] (4), respectively. Single crystal X-ray diffraction of 1- 4 revealed common "iminium" species resulting in zwitterionic complexes. Reaction of [V(N p-tol)(O n-Pr) 3] with L (1)H3 afforded [{(VN p-tol)(L(1)H)} 2(mu-O n-Pr)2] (5), and a second complex [(VO) 2(mu-O)(L(3)H) 2] (6)(L(3)H being derived from 3-[2,2'-methylenebis(4,6-di-tert-butylphenol)-5-tert-butylsalicylidene- p-tolylimine]). The condensation reaction between 3-[2,2'-methylenebis(4,6-di-tert-butylphenol)-5-tert-butyl-2-hydroxybenzaldehyde] (L(0)H 3) and o-phenylenediamine (1,2-diaminobenzene) afforded two products: a pseudo-16-membered hydrogen bonded macrocyclic structure {1,2-bis-3-[2,2'-methylenebis(4,6-di-tert-butylphenol)-5-tert-butylsalicylidene-benzyldiimine]} (L(5)H6), or the benzimidazolyl bearing ligand (L(6)H 3). The reaction of L (5)H6 or L(6)H 3 with [VO(O n-Pr) 3] under varying conditions produced the complexes [(VO)(L(5)H 4)] (7), [(VO) 2(L(5)H)] (8), or [VO(L(6)H 2) 2] (9). L (0)H 3 was reacted with a number of anilines to give the proligands {3-[2,2'-methylenebis(4,6-di- tert-butylphenol)-5-tert-butylsalicylidene-R-imine]}, where R = NC 6H 5 (L(2)H3), NC 6H 4-Me (L(3)H 3), and NC 6H 2-Me 3 (L(4)H 3). Reactions of these ligands with [VO(O n-Pr) 3] formed bischelating complexes of the form [(VO)(L(2-4)H 2)2] (10, 11, and 12, respectively). The reaction of L (1)H 3 with trimethylaluminum led to a bis-aluminum complex {(AlMe 2)[AlMe(NCMe)] L (1)} (13). The ability of complexes 1-12 to polymerize ethylene in the presence of an organoaluminum cocatalyst was investigated. Procatalysts 1 and 2 were found to produce negligible activities in the presence of dimethylaluminum chloride (DMAC) and the reactivator ethyltrichloroacetate (ETA), whereas 3 and 4 were found to be completely inactive for polymerization using a variety of different organoaluminum cocatalysts. Using the combination of DMAC and ETA, complexes 5-12 were found to be highly active catalysts; in all cases, the polymer formed was of high molecular weight linear polyethylene.  相似文献

A microporous and noninterpenetrated metal-organic framework [Cu(3)(L)(2)(DABCO)(H(2)O)]·15H(2)O·9DMF (1) has been synthesized using two different ligands, [1,1':3',1″-terphenyl]-4,4″,5'-tricarboxylic acid (H(3)L) and 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (DABCO). As revealed by variable-temperature powder X-ray diffraction (VT-PXRD) measurements, N,N'-ditopic DABCO plays an important role for stabilization of the Cu-L framework. The three-dimensional framework of 1 exhibits high stability and excellent adsorption capacity for H(2) (54.3 mg g(-1) at 77 K and 20 bar), CO(2) (871 mg g(-1) at 298 K and 20 bar), CH(4) (116.7 mg g(-1), 99 cm(3) (STP) cm(-3) at 298 K and 20 bar), and n-pentane (686 mg g(-1) at 298 K and 1 bar). Interestingly, the excellent selectivity toward CO(2) over N(2) at ambient temperature (273 and 298 K) and 1 bar makes complex 1 possess practical application in gas separation and purification.  相似文献

A series of clathrate and metal complexes with cyclotriveratrylene-like molecular host ligands show a similar dimeric homomeric inclusion motif in which a ligand arm of one host is the intra-cavity guest of another and vice versa. This "hand-shake" motif is found in the trinuclear transition metal complex [Cu(3)Cl(6)(1)]CH(3)CN1.5 H(2)O in which 1 is tris(4-[2,2',6',2'-terpyridyl]benzyl)cyclotriguaiacylene; in the self-included M(4)L(4) tetrahedral metallo-supramolecular assembly [Ag(4)(2)(4)] (BF(4))(4) in which 2 is tris-(2-quinolylmethyl)cyclotriguaiacylene; in the 1D coordination chains [Ag(4)]ReO(4) CH(3)CN and [Ag(5)]SbF(6)3 DMFH(2)O in which 4 is tris(1H-imidazol-1-yl)cyclotriguaiacylene and 5 is tris{4-(2-pyridyl)benzyl}cyclotriguaiacylene; and in the acetone clathrate of tris{4-(2-pyridyl)benzyl-amino}cyclotriguaiacylene. Clathrates of ligands 2 and 5 do not show the same dimeric motif, although 2 has an extended homomeric inclusion motif that gives a hexagonal network.  相似文献

Two novel compounds, (L(1)H)(2)[SiF(6)] x 2H(2)O (1) and (L(2)H)(2)[SiF(5)(H(2)O)](2) x 3H(2)O (2), resulting from the reactions of H(2)SiF(6) with 4'-aminobenzo-12-crown-4 (L(1)) and monoaza-12-crown-4 (L(2)), respectively, were studied by X-ray diffraction and characterised by IR and (19)F NMR spectroscopic methods. Both complexes have ionic structures due to the proton transfer from the fluorosilicic acid to the primary amine group in L(1) and secondary amine group incorporated into the macrocycle L(2). The structure of 1 is composed of [SiF(6)](2-) centrosymmetric anions, N-protonated cations (L(1)H)(+), and two water molecules, all components being bound in the layer through a system of NH[...]F, NH[...]O and OH[...]F hydrogen bonds. The [SiF(6)](2-) anions and water molecules are assembled into inorganic negatively-charged layers via OH[dot dot dot]F hydrogen bonds. The structure of 2 is a rare example of stabilisation of the complex anion [SiF(5)(H(2)O)](-), the labile product of hydrolytic transformations of the [SiF(6)](2-) anion in an aqueous solution. The components of 2, i.e., [SiF(5)(H(2)O)](-), (L(2)H)(+), and water molecules, are linked by a system of NH[...]F, NH[...]O, OH[...]F, OH[dot dot dot]O hydrogen bonds. In a way similar to 1, the [SiF(5)(H(2)O)](-) anions and water molecules in 2 are combined into an inorganic negatively-charged layer through OH[...]F and OH[...]O interactions.  相似文献

Complex 3, [Ru(eta2-BH4)(CO)(Et)L2] (L = PMe2Ph) can be converted by nucleophiles L' {a, PMe2Ph; b, P(OMe)3; c, Me3CNC; d, CO} to alkyl and acyl complexes [Ru(eta1-BH4)(CO)(Et)L2L'] (4a), [Ru(eta2-BH4)(COEt)L2L'] (5a-d), and [Ru(eta1-BH4)(COEt)L2L'2] (7d and isomers 7c and 10c). Deprotection can then be achieved under conditions mild enough to allow study of the resulting alkyl hydride complexes [Ru(CO)(Et)HL2L'] (1a, 1b) and acyl hydride complexes [Ru(COEt)HL2L'2] (8c, 8d) prior to elimination of ethane and propanal respectively, with formation of ruthenium(0) complexes [Ru(CO)L2L'2] (6a, 6b, 6d). With Me3CNC, however, the final product is (depending on the solvent used) [Ru(CNCMe3)2{C(H)NCMe3}(COEt)L2] (9c) or [Ru(CNCMe3)3(COEt)L2]+ (11c). Successive treatment of [Ru(eta2-BH4)(CO)HL2], , with ethene and then CO yields propanal, but turning this into a catalytic cycle is hindered by the greater readiness of to yield propanal non-catalytically (reacting with CO) than catalytically (reacting with H2).  相似文献

Four members of the electron-transfer series [Fe(NO)(S(2)C(2)R(2))2]z (z = 1+, 0, 1-, 2-) have been isolated as solid materials (R = p-tolyl): [1a](BF4), [1a]0, [Co(Cp)2][1a], and [Co(Cp)2]2[1a]. In addition, complexes [2a]0 (R = 4,4-diphenyl), [3a]0 (R = p-methoxyphenyl), [Et(4)N][4a] (R = phenyl), and [PPh(4)][5a] (R = -CN) have been synthesized and the members of each of their electron-transfer series electrochemically generated in CH(2)Cl(2) solution. All species have been characterized electro- and magnetochemically. Their electronic, M?ssbauer, and electron paramagnetic resonance spectra as well as their infrared spectra have been recorded in order to elucidate the electronic structure of each member of the electron-transfer series. It is shown that the monocationic, neutral, and monoanionic species possess an {FeNO}6 (S = 0) moiety where the redox chemistry is sulfur ligand-based, (L)2-(L*)1-: [Fe(NO)(L*)2]+ (S = 0), [Fe(NO)(L*)(L)]0 <--> [Fe(NO)(L)(L*)]0 (S = 1/2), [Fe(NO)(L)2]- (S = 0). Further one-electron reduction generates a dianion with an {FeNO}7 (S = 1/2) unit and two fully reduced, diamagnetic dianions L2-: [Fe(NO)(L)2]2- (S = 1/2).  相似文献

The crystal structures of [Co 2L(Cl)](ClO 4) 3 ( 1), [Co 2L(Br)](ClO 4) 3 ( 2), [Co 2L(OH)(OH 2)]I 3 ( 3), and [Co 2L (1)(Cl)](ClO 4) 3 ( 4), the density functional theory calculations, as well as the binding constants of [Co 2L] (4+) toward Cl (-) and Br (-) and of [Co 2L (1)] (4+) toward Cl (-), are reported in this paper (L = N[(CH 2) 2NHCH 2(C 6H 4- p)CH 2NH(CH 2) 2] 3N, L (1) = N[(CH 2) 2NHCH 2(C 6H 4- m)CH 2NH(CH 2) 2] 3N). The rigid dicobalt(II) cryptate [Co 2L] (4+) shows the recognition of Cl (-) and Br (-) but not of F (-) and I (-), because of the size matching to its rigid cavity. We also found that the relative rigid tripodal skeleton of L than that of L (1) results in the higher affinity of [Co 2L] (4+) toward Cl (-). Magnetic susceptibility measurements of 1 and 2 indicate that the two Co(II) atoms in the cryptates are antiferromagnetically coupled through the Cl (-)/Br (-) bridge, with g = 2.19, J = -13.7 cm (-1) for 1, and g = 2.22, J = -17.1 cm (-1) for 2.  相似文献

Reaction of [Ru (VI)(N)(L (1))(MeOH)] (+) (L (1) = N, N'-bis(salicylidene)- o-cyclohexylenediamine dianion) with excess pyridine in CH 3CN produces [Ru (III)(L (1))(py) 2] (+) and N 2. The proposed mechanism involves initial equilibrium formation of [Ru (VI)(N)(L (1))(py)] (+), which undergoes rapid N...N coupling to produce [(py)(L (1))Ru (III) N N-Ru (III)(L (1))(py)] (2+); this is followed by pyridine substituion to give the final product. This ligand-induced N...N coupling of Ru (VI)N is utilized in the preparation of a series of new ruthenium(III) salen complexes, [Ru (III)(L)(X) 2] (+/-) (L = salen ligand; X = H 2O, 1-MeIm, py, Me 2SO, PhNH 2, ( t )BuNH 2, Cl (-) or CN (-)). The structures of [Ru (III)(L (1))(NH 2Ph) 2](PF 6) ( 6), K[Ru (III)(L (1))(CN) 2] ( 9), [Ru (III)(L (2))(NCCH 3) 2][Au (I)(CN) 2] ( 11) (L (2) = N, N'-bis(salicylidene)- o-phenylenediamine dianion) and [N ( n )Bu 4][Ru (III)(L (3))Cl 2] ( 12) (L (3) = N, N'-bis(salicylidene)ethylenediamine dianion) have been determined by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

The coordination chemistry of the ligands 2-anilino-4,6-di-tert-butylphenol, H[L(AP)], and N,N"'-bis[2-(4,6-di-tert-butylphenol]diethylenetriamine, H(2)[(L(AP))N(L(AP))], has been studied with the first-row transition metal ions V, Cr, Fe, and Co. The ligands are noninnocent in the sense that the aminophenolato parts, [L(AP)](-) and [L(AP)-H](2)(-), can be readily oxidized to their o-iminobenzosemiquinonato, [L(ISQ)](-), and o-iminobenzoquinone, [L(ISB)], forms. The following neutral octahedral complexes have been isolated as crystalline materials, and their crystal structures have been determined by X-ray crystallography at 100 K: [Cr(III)(L(ISQ))(3)] (1), [Fe(III)(L(ISQ))(3)] (2), [Co(III)(L(ISQ))(3)] (3), [V(V)(L(ISQ))(L(AP)-H)(2)] (4), [V(V)(L(AP)-H)(2)(L(AP))] (5), and [V(V)O[(L(AP))N(L(AP)-H)]] (6). From variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements and X-band EPR spectroscopy it has been established that they possess the ground states: 1, S = 0; 2, S = 1; 3, S = (3)/(2); 4, S = (1)/(2); 5, S = 0; 6, S = 0. The o-iminobenzosemiquinonato radicals (S(rad) = (1)/(2)) couple strongly intramolecularly antiferromagnetically to singly occupied orbitals of the t(2g) subshell at the respective metal ion but ferromagnetically to each other in 3 containing a Co(III) ion with a filled t(2g)(6) subshell. It is demonstrated that the oxidation level of the ligands and metal ions can be unequivocally determined by high-quality X-ray crystallography in conjunction with EPR, UV-vis, and M?ssbauer spectroscopies. The spectro- and electrochemistry of these complexes have also been studied in detail. Metal- and ligand-based redox chemistry has been observed. The molecular and electronic structures are compared with those of their o-semiquinonato analogues.  相似文献

Catalytically competent Ir, Re, and Ru complexes H(2)L(1)-H(2)L(6) with dicarboxylic acid functionalities were incorporated into a highly stable and porous Zr(6)O(4)(OH)(4)(bpdc)(6) (UiO-67, bpdc = para-biphenyldicarboxylic acid) framework using a mix-and-match synthetic strategy. The matching ligand lengths between bpdc and L(1)-L(6) ligands allowed the construction of highly crystalline UiO-67 frameworks (metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) 1-6) that were doped with L(1)-L(6) ligands. MOFs 1-6 were isostructural to the parent UiO-67 framework as shown by powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) and exhibited high surface areas ranging from 1092 to 1497 m(2)/g. MOFs 1-6 were stable in air up to 400 °C and active catalysts in a range of reactions that are relevant to solar energy utilization. MOFs 1-3 containing [Cp*Ir(III)(dcppy)Cl] (H(2)L(1)), [Cp*Ir(III)(dcbpy)Cl]Cl (H(2)L(2)), and [Ir(III)(dcppy)(2)(H(2)O)(2)]OTf (H(2)L(3)) (where Cp* is pentamethylcyclopentadienyl, dcppy is 2-phenylpyridine-5,4'-dicarboxylic acid, and dcbpy is 2,2'-bipyridine-5,5'-dicarboxylic acid) were effective water oxidation catalysts (WOCs), with turnover frequencies (TOFs) of up to 4.8 h(-1). The [Re(I)(CO)(3)(dcbpy)Cl] (H(2)L(4)) derivatized MOF 4 served as an active catalyst for photocatalytic CO(2) reduction with a total turnover number (TON) of 10.9, three times higher than that of the homogeneous complex H(2)L(4). MOFs 5 and 6 contained phosphorescent [Ir(III)(ppy)(2)(dcbpy)]Cl (H(2)L(5)) and [Ru(II)(bpy)(2)(dcbpy)]Cl(2) (H(2)L(6)) (where ppy is 2-phenylpyridine and bpy is 2,2'-bipyridine) and were used in three photocatalytic organic transformations (aza-Henry reaction, aerobic amine coupling, and aerobic oxidation of thioanisole) with very high activities. The inactivity of the parent UiO-67 framework and the reaction supernatants in catalytic water oxidation, CO(2) reduction, and organic transformations indicate both the molecular origin and heterogeneous nature of these catalytic processes. The stability of the doped UiO-67 catalysts under catalytic conditions was also demonstrated by comparing PXRD patterns before and after catalysis. This work illustrates the potential of combining molecular catalysts and MOF structures in developing highly active heterogeneous catalysts for solar energy utilization.  相似文献

The tetradentate ligands 1,8-bis(pyrid-2-yl)-3,6-dithiaoctane (pdto) and 1,8-bis(benzimidazol-2-yl)-3,6-dithiaoctane (bbdo) form the complexes [Ru(pdto)(mu-Cl)](2)(ClO(4))(2) 1 and [Ru(bbdo)(mu-Cl)](2)(ClO(4))(2) 2 respectively. The new di-mu-chloro dimers 1 and 2 undergo facile symmetrical bridge cleavage reactions with the diimine ligands 2,2'-bipyridine (bpy) and dipyridylamine (dpa) to form the six-coordinate complexes [Ru(pdto)(bpy)](ClO(4))(2) 3, [Ru(bbdo)(bpy)](ClO(4))(2) 4, [Ru(pdto)(dpa)](ClO(4))(2) 5 and [Ru(bbdo)(dpa)](ClO(4))(2) 6 and with the triimine ligand 2,2':6,2'-terpyridine (terpy) to form the unusual seven-coordinate complexes [Ru(pdto)(terpy)](ClO(4))(2) 7 and [Ru(bbdo)(terpy)](ClO(4))(2) 8. In 1 the dimeric cation [Ru(pdto)(mu-Cl)](2)(2+) is made up of two approximately octahedrally coordinated Ru(II) centers bridged by two chloride ions, which constitute a common edge between the two Ru(II) octahedra. Each ruthenium is coordinated also to two pyridine nitrogen and two thioether sulfur atoms of the tetradentate ligand. The ligand pdto is folded around Ru(II) as a result of the cis-dichloro coordination, which corresponds to a "cis-alpha" configuration [DeltaDelta/LambdaLambda(rac) diastereoisomer] supporting the possibility of some attractive pi-stacking interactions between the parallel py rings at each ruthenium atom. The ruthenium atom in the complex cations 3a and 4 exhibit a distorted octahedral coordination geometry composed of two nitrogen atoms of the bpy and the two thioether sulfur and two py/bzim nitrogen atoms of the pdto/bbdo ligand, which is actually folded around Ru(II) to give a "cis-alpha" isomer. The molecule of complex 5 contains a six-coordinated ruthenium atom chelated by pdto and dpa ligands in the expected distorted octahedral fashion. The (1)H and (13)C NMR spectral data of the complexes throw light on the nature of metal-ligand bonding and the conformations of the chelate rings, which indicates that the dithioether ligands maintain their tendency to fold themselves even in solution. The bis-mu-chloro dimers 1 and 2 show a spin-allowed but Laporte-forbidden t(2g)(6)((1)A(1g))--> t(2g)(5) e(g)(1)((1)T(1g), (1)T(2g)) d-d transition. They also display an intense Ru(II) dpi--> py/bzim (pi*) metal-to-ligand charge transfer (MLCT) transition. The mononuclear complexes 3-8 exhibit dpi-->pi* MLCT transitions in the range 340-450 nm. The binuclear complexes 1 and 2 exhibit a ligand field ((3)MC) luminescence even at room temperature, whereas the mononuclear complexes 3 and 4 show a ligand based radical anion ((3)MLCT) luminescence. The binuclear complexes 1 and 2 undergo two successive oxidation processes corresponding to successive Ru(II)/Ru(III) couples, affording a stable mixed-valence Ru(II)Ru(III) state (K(c): 1, 3.97 x 10(6); 2, 1.10 x 10(6)). The mononuclear complexes 3-7 exhibit only one while 8 shows two quasi-reversible metal-based oxidative processes. The coordinated 'soft' thioether raises the redox potentials significantly by stabilising the 'soft' Ru(II) oxidation state. One or two ligand-based reduction processes were also observed for the mononuclear complexes.  相似文献

Novel mixed-ligand Ir(III) complexes, [Ir(L)(NwedgeC)X]n+ (L = N/\C/\N or N/\N/\N; X = Cl, Br, I, CN, CH3CN, or -CCPh; n = 0 or 1), were synthesized, where N/\CwedgeN = bis(N-methylbenzimidazolyl)benzene (Mebib) and bis(N-phenylbenzimidazolyl)benzene (Phbib), N/\N/\N = bis(N-methylbenzimidazolyl)pyridine (Mebip), and N/\C = phenylpyridine (ppy) derivatives. The X-ray crystal structures of [Ir(Phbib)(ppy)Cl] and [Ir(Mebib)(mppy)Cl] [mppy = 5-methyl-2-(2'-pyridyl)phenyl] indicate that the nitrogen atom of the ppy ligand is located trans to the coordinating carbon atom in Me- or Phbib, while the coordinating carbon atom in ppy occupies the trans position of Cl. [Ir(Mebip)(ppy)Cl]+ showed a quasireversible Ir(III/IV) oxidation wave at +1.05 V, while the Ir complexes, [Ir(Mebib)(ppy)Cl], were oxidized at +0.42 V versus Fc/Fc+. The introduction of an Ir-C bond in [Ir(Mebib)(ppy)Cl] induces a large potential shift of 0.63 V in a negative direction. Further, the oxidation potential of [Ir(Mebib)(Rppy)X] was altered by the substitution of R, R', and X groups. Compared to the oxidation potential, the first reduction potential revealed an almost constant value at -2.36 to -2.46 V for [Ir(L)(ppy)Cl] (L = Mebib and Phbib) and -1.52 V for [Ir(Mebip)(ppy)Cl. The UV-vis spectra of [Ir(Mebib)(R-ppy)X] show a clear singlet metal-to-ligand charge-transfer transition around 407 approximately 425 nm and a triplet metal-to-ligand charge-transfer transition at 498 approximately 523 nm. [Ir(Mebip)(ppy)Cl]+ emits at 610 nm with a luminescent quantum yield of Phi = 0.16 at room temperature. The phosphorescence of [Ir(Mebib)(ppy)X] was observed at 526 nm for X = CN and 555 nm for X = Cl with the high luminescent quantum yields, Phi = 0.77 approximately 0.86, at room temperature. [Ir(Phbib)(ppy)Cl] shows the emission at 559 nm with a luminescent quantum yield of Phi = 0.95, which is an unprecedentedly high value compared to those of other emissive metal complexes. Compared to the luminescent quantum yields of the Ir(ppy)2(L) derivatives and [Ir(Mebip)(ppy)Cl]+, the neutral Ir complexes, [Ir(L)(R-ppy)X] (L = Me- or Phbib), reveal very high quantum yields and large radiative rate constants (kr) ranging from 3.4 x 10(5) to 5.5 x 10(5) s(-1). The density functional theory calculation suggests that these Ir complexes possess dominantly metal-to-ligand charge-transfer and halide-to-ligand charge-transfer excited states. The mechanism for a high phosphorescence yield in [Ir(bib)(ppy)X] is discussed herein from the perspective of the theoretical consideration of radiative rate constants using perturbation theory and a one-center spin-orbit coupling approximation.  相似文献
