Two pure strontium borates SrB2O4·4H2O and SrB2O4 have been synthesized and characterized by means of chemical analysis and XRD, FT-IR, DTA-TG techniques. The molar enthalpies of solution of SrB2O4·4H2O and SrB2O4 in 1 mol dm−3 HCl(aq) were measured to be −(9.92 ± 0.20) kJ mol−1 and −(81.27 ± 0.30) kJ mol−1, respectively. The molar enthalpy of solution of Sr(OH)2·8H2O in (HCl + H3BO3)(aq) were determined to be −(51.69 ± 0.15) kJ mol−1. With the use of the enthalpy of solution of H3BO3 in 1 mol dm−3 HCl(aq), and the standard molar enthalpies of formation for Sr(OH)2·8H2O(s), H3BO3(s), and H2O(l), the standard molar enthalpies of formation of −(3253.1 ± 1.7) kJ mol−1 for SrB2O4·4H2O, and of −(2038.4 ± 1.7) kJ mol−1 for SrB2O4 were obtained.  相似文献

Polymerization experiments with styrene in benzene at 60°, initiated by benzoyl peroxide, covering a wide range of concentration of both monomer and initiator are reported; the results cannot be explained in terms of the classical rate relationship with Rp ∝ [I]12 [M]. Deviations were reflected in unexpected orders of monomer up to [M]1·4 and of initiator down to [I]0·42 when the initiator concentration is increased and monomer concentration is decreased. Based on the concept of primary radical termination, an equation, viz.
lnRp2[I][M]2=ln2fkkdkp2kt?2kprtkikp×Rp[M]2
is proposed. Semi-log plots of Rp2/[I] [M]2 vs Rp/[M]2 show a wide range of linearity; the characteristic constant kprt/kikp and also fk can be obtained from the slope and intercept, respectively, kprt, ki and kp are, respectively, the rate constants of primary radical termination, initiation and propagation and fk is the efficiency of initiation, defined as the fraction of radicals which come out of the solvent cage and take part in initiation, primary radical termination and primary radical recombination. The definition of fk is thus differentiated from the conventional efficiency of initiation. Finally, we have derived an equation which allows determination of the classical efficiency of initiation as a function of [I]/[M]2 and also allows a correction of Rp in handling the above equation by taking into account the small amount of monomer consumed in initiation.  相似文献

We calculated the molecular field coefficients, nFeFe and nRFe (R=Sm, Gd, Tb, Ho and Tm), for R2Fe17−xGax and the values of nFeFe and nSmFe for R2Fe17−xTx (T=Al and Si) using the experimental values of the Curie temperature. The values of nFeFe increase in spite of the decrease of μFe for 0?x?5. The values of nSmFe have large values when the magnetic anisotropy is axial. For 6?x?8, the values of nFeFe, nHoFe and nTmFe increase largely, which is related to the change of the easy magnetization direction. For Y2Fe17−xTx (T=Ga and Al), the values of nFeFe have a maximum value with increasing those of μFe. With increasing V−1, the values of nFeFe have a maximum value around the same value of V−1 for Y2Fe17−xTx (T=Ga and Al). For Y2Fe17−xSix, the values of nFeFe increase with increasing V−1.  相似文献

The ability of cyclopentadienyl type derivatives of corannulene C20H10 and fullereneI h -C60 to form η5-π-complexes and the problem of their existence is discussed. MNDO/PM3 calculations of half-sandwich complexes η5-π-MC20H15, η5-π-MC20H 15 + , η5-π-MC60H5, η5-π-MC60H5 and sandwich complexes 2η5-π-M(C20H15)2, 2η5-π-M(C20H15)2, 2η5-π-M(C60H5)2 (M=Si, Ge, Sn, Pb) were performed. For all systems studied, local minima were found on corresponding potential energy surfaces and the heats of formation, geometric parameters, and distributions of effective atomic charges were calculated. Sandwich complexes are most likely to exist with M=Si and Ge. The energy and geometric characteristics of η5-π-complexes of corannulene were compared with those of η5-π-complexes of fullereneI h -C60. It was concluded that the results of quantum-chemical calculations of sandwich type corannulene derivatives can be used for simulation of the geometry and electronic structure of analogous complexes of fullereneI h -C60. Structural and photoluminescence properties of undoped and Ce3+-doped novel silicon-oxynitride phosphors of Ba4−zMzSi8O20−3xN2x (M=Mg, Sr, Ca) are reported. Single-phase solid solutions of Ba4−zMzSi8O20−3xN2x oxynitride were synthesized by partial substitutions of 3O2−→2N3− and Ba→M (M=Mg, Ca, Sr) in orthorhombic Ba2Si4O10. The influences of the type of alkaline earth ions of M, the Ce3+ concentration on the photoluminescence properties and thermal quenching behaviors of Ba3MSi8O20−3xN2x (M=Mg, Ca, Sr, x=0.5) were investigated. Under excitation at about 330 nm, Ba3MSi8O20−3xN2x:Ce3+ (x=0.5) exhibits efficient blue emission centered at 400-450 nm in the range of 350-650 nm owing to the 5d→4f transition of Ce3+. The emission band of Ce3+ shifts to long wavelength by increasing the ionic size of M due to the modification of the crystal field, as well as the Ce3+ concentrations due to the Stokes shift and energy transfer or reabsorption of Ce3+ ions. Among the silicon-oxynitride phosphors of Ba3MSi8O18.5N:Ce3+, M=Sr0.6Ca0.4 possesses the best thermal stability probably related to its high onset of the absorption edge of Ce3+.  相似文献

The power-time curves of the micelle formation process were determined at four temperatures for a cationic surfactant [cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB)] in a non-aqueous solvent [N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF)] by titration microcalorimetry. From the data of the minimum of the titration point and the area of the power-time curves, values of their CMC and ΔH m θ were obtained. Values of ΔG m θ and ΔS m θ were also calculated according to standard thermodynamic relations. For the cationic surfactant CTAB, the relationships involving the carbon numbers of the alcohols, the alcohol’s concentration, and the temperature on the CMC, and also the thermodynamic functions for micellization are discussed. For systems containing an identical concentration of various alcohols, values of the CMC, ΔH m θ and ΔS m θ increased whereas those of ΔG m θ decreased with increasing temperature. For systems containing identical alcohol concentrations at the same constant temperature, values of the CMC, ΔH m θ G m θ and ΔS m θ decreased with increasing carbon number of the alcohol. For systems containing the same alcohol at the same temperature, the CMC and ΔG m θ values increased whereas ΔH m θ and ΔS m θ decreased with increasing alcohol concentration.  相似文献

Nonstoichiometric variation of oxygen content in Nd2−xSrxNiO4+δ (x=0, 0.2, 0.4) and decomposition P(O2) were determined by means of high temperature gravimetry and coulometric titration. The measurements were carried out in the temperature range from 873 to 1173 K and the P(O2) range from 10−20 to 1 bar. Nd2−xSrxNiO4+δ shows the oxygen excess and the oxygen deficient composition depending on P(O2), temperature, and the Sr content. To evaluate the characteristics of oxygen nonstoichiometric behavior, partial molar enthalpy of oxygen was calculated. The value of partial molar enthalpy of oxygen slightly approaches zero as δ increases in the oxygen excess region while that is independent of δ in the oxygen deficient region. Discussion was made by comparing data of this study with nonstoichiometric and thermodynamic data of La2−xSrxNiO4+δ: Nd2−xSrxNiO4+δ show more oxygen excess than La2−xSrxNiO4+δ in the higher P(O2) region, while the nonstoichiometric behavior in the oxygen deficient composition is almost the same. The variation of partial molar enthalpy of oxygen with δ for Nd2−xSrxNiO4+δ in the oxygen excess region is much smaller than that of La2−xSrxNiO4+δ. The oxygen nonstoichiometric behavior of Nd2−xSrxNiO4+δ is more ideal-solution-like than that of La2−xSrxNiO4+δ.  相似文献

LaFe1−xNixO3−δ (x=0.1−1.0) perovskites were synthesized via citrate route. The p(O2)-stability of the perovskite phases LaFe1−xNixO3−δ has been evaluated at 1100 °C based on the results of XRD analysis of powder samples annealed at various p(O2) and quenched to room temperature. The isothermal LaFeO3−δ-“LaNiO3−δ” cross-section of the phase diagram of the La-Fe-Ni-O system has been proposed in the range of oxygen partial pressure −15<log p(O2)/atm≤0.68. The unit cell parameters of orthorhombic perovskites O-LaFe1−xNixO3−δ increase with decrease in p(O2) at fixed composition x. This behavior is explained on the basis of size factor. The decomposition temperatures of rhombohedral phases R-LaFe1−xNixO3−δ for x=0.7, 0.8, 0.9 and 1.0 in air were determined as 1137, 1086, 1060 and 995 °C, respectively.  相似文献

The isentropic compressibilities of aqueous solutions of potassium iodide, from dilute to almost saturated, were determined at 288 to 308 K based on precise measurements of the speed of ultrasound. Using proper correlations, the hydration numbers (h) were calculated as well as the molar volume and compressibility parameters of the hydrated complexes (V h , β h V h ) of water in the hydration shell (V 1h , β1h V 1h), and of the cavity containing stochiometric mixtures of K+ and I ions (V 2h, β2h V 2h). It is revealed that under the studied conditions, the obtained values of h and β h V h are independent of temperature whereas the molar compressibility of the hydration shell β h V h) is independent of concentration. The electrostatic field of the ions is shown to influence the temperature dependence of the molar volume of water in the hydration shell more substantially than a change of pressure alone influences the temperature dependence of the molar volume of pure water.  相似文献

The kinetics of phenylalanine (phe) oxidation by permanganate has been investigated in absence and presence of cetlytrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) using conventional spectrophotometric technique. The rate shows first- and fractional-order dependence on [MnO4] and [phe] in presence of CTAB. At lower values of [CTAB] (≤10.0 × 10−4 mol dm−3), the catalytic ability of CTAB aggregates are strong. In contrast, at higher values of [CTAB] (≥10.0 × 10−4 mol dm−3), the inhibitory effect was observed in absence of H2SO4. We find that anions (Br, Cl and NO3) in the form of sodium salts are strong inhibitors for the CTAB catalyzed oxidation. Kinetic and spectrophotometric evidences for the formation of an intermediate complex and an ion-pair complex between phe and MnO4, CTAB and MnO4, respectively, are presented. A mechanism consistent with kinetic results has been discussed. Complex formation constant (Kc) and micellar binding constant (Ks) were calculated at 30 °C and found to be Kc = 319 mol−1 dm−3 and Ks = 1127 mol−1 dm−3, respectively.  相似文献

The effect of sodium benzoate (SB) and sodium 4-(phenylamino)benzenesulfonate (SPABS) on the corrosion behavior of low carbon steel has been investigated using gravimetric method in the temperature range of 30–80 °C, velocity range of 1.44–2.02 m s−1 and concentration range of 6.94 × 10−4 to 4.16 × 10−3 mol dm−3 SB and 3.69 × 10−4 to 2.06 × 10−3 mol dm−3 SPABS. Optimization of temperature, fluid velocity, and inhibitors concentration has been made. The obtained results indicate that the inhibition efficiency (w IE %) at 1.56 m s−1 is not in excess of 81.5% at 4.16 × 10−3 mol dm−3 SB and 84.4% at 2.06 × 10−3 mol dm−3 SPABS. The inhibitive performance of these compounds showed an improvement with increasing concentration up to critical values of SB and SPABS; beyond these concentrations no further effectiveness is observed. These inhibitors retard the anodic dissolution of low carbon steel by protective layer bonding on the metal surface. The adsorption of SB and SPABS on the low carbon steel surface was found to obey the Freundlich isotherm model. The FT-IR spectroscopy was used to analyze the surface adsorbed film.  相似文献

The isothermal decomposition of any ternary oxide AxByOz on liberation of n moles of oxygen at a constant pressure is found to be driven by the mixing entropy ΔSm = ?nRln PO2 of the total entropy change ΔS = ΔS° + ΔSm. The stability of AxByOz towards isothermal decomposition into a biphasic solid mixture is derived from the equilibrium condition ΔG1 = 0 as functions of standard changes ΔH° and ΔS°. Assuming ΔS° = 44n and calculating ΔH° in terms of lattice energies U(ABO3) and U(A2O3), the stability of perovskites St(ABO3) = ?log P1O2 (A = La, Sm, Dy; B = Mn, Fe) is given as a function of the ionic radius of the A3+ ion. The calculated stability agrees well with that observed. The effect of electronic entropy change ΔSe on ΔS° is demonstrated for AFeO3 (A = La, Sm, Dy).  相似文献

A novel optical sensor based on a redox reaction for the determination of iodide has been developed. The optode membrane is constructed by immobilization of methyltrioctylammonium chloride on triacetylcellulose polymer. The exchange of chloride as counter ion with iodate in the membrane changes the color to yellow, when it is placed in acidic solution of iodide. The sensor can readily be regenerated by 0.1 mol L−1 NaOH in less than 15 s. The optode has a linear range of 3.94 × 10−6 to 5.51 × 10−5 mol L−1 of iodide ions with a limit of detection 7.44 × 10−7 mol L−1. The relative standard deviation for eight replicate measurements of 3.94 × 10−6 and 1.57 × 10−5 mol L−1 of iodide was 2.83 and 1.38%, respectively. The sensor was successfully applied to the determination of iodide in tablet, powdered milk and urine samples.  相似文献

Homogeneous solid solutions and heterogeneous systems of the general formula R2 − x Mn x O3 ± δ (0.90 ≤ x ≤] 1.10 for R = Y and 0.88 ≤ x ≤ 1.14 for R = Yb; Δx = 0.02) were produced by ceramic synthesis from oxides in air within the temperature range 900–1400°C. The solubility boundaries of simple oxides R2O3 (R = Y, Yb), Mn3O4, and binary oxide RMn2O5 in yttrium and ytterbium manganites RMnO3 ± δ were determined X-ray powder diffraction of these solutions and systems. The results were presented as fragments of phase diagrams of the systems Y-Mn-O and Yb-Mn-O in air. The solubility of Y2O3 and Mn3O4 in YMnO3 ± δ was found to increase with increasing temperature, and the solubility of Yb2O3 and Mn3O4 in YbMnO3 ± δ to be insensitive to varying temperature. It was suggested that the solubility of Y2O3 and Mn3O4 in YMnO3 ± δ and of Yb2O3 and Mn3O4 in YbMnO3 ± δ is caused by crystal structure defects of yttrium and ytterbium manganites and their related oxygen nonstoichiometry. In dissolving RMn2O5 in RMnO3 ± δ (R = Y, Yb) in air within a narrow (∼20°C) temperature range adjacent to the RMn2O5 = RMnO3 + 1/3Mn3O4 + 1/3O2 equilibrium temperature, the solubility of RMn2O5 in RMnO3 ± δ ecreases abruptly until almost zero. Conclusion is made that structural studies are necessary necessary to determine the oxygen nonstoichiometry δ of R2 − x Mn x O3 ± δ solid solutions as a function of x and synthesis temperature; together with the results of this work, these studies will allow one to construct unique crystal-chemical models of these solid solutions.  相似文献

We compared the binding affinity of 6-propyl-2-thiouracil (PTU) with native and destabilized human serum albumin (HSA) as a model to assess the binding ability of albumin in patients suffering from chronic liver or renal diseases. Urea (U) and guanidine hydrochloride (Gu·HCl) at a concentration of 3.0 M were used as denaturation agents.Increasing the concentration of PTU from 0.8 × 10−5 to 1.20 × 10−4 M in the systems with HSA causes a decrease in fluorescence intensity of the protein excited with both 280 and 295 nm wavelengths. The results indicate that urea and Gu·HCl bind to the carbonyl group and then to the NH-group. To determine binding constants we used the Scatchard plots. The presence of two classes of HSA–PTU binding sites was observed. The binding constants (Kb) are equal to 1.99 × 104 M−1 and 1.50 × 104 M−1 at λex = 280 nm, 5.20 × 104 M−1 and 1.65 × 104 M−1 at λex = 295 nm. At λex = 280 nm the number of drug molecules per protein molecule is aI = 1.45 and aII = 1.32 for I and II binding sites, respectively. At λex = 295 nm they are aI = 0.63 and aII = 1.54 for the I and II binding sites.The estimation of the binding ability of changed albumin in the uremic and diabetic patients suffering from chronic liver or renal diseases is very important for safety and effective therapy.  相似文献

Phase equilibria in the LaVO4-Nb2O5-Ta2O5 system were analyzed. New solid solutions LaTa2−2xNb2xVO9−δ (x=0-0.1) and LaNb2−2xTa2xVO9−δ (x=0-0.4) were detected in this system. The structures of the vanadate-niobate LaNb2VO9 and vanadate-tantalate LaTa2VO9 are not known. The structures of the vanadate-tantalate LaTa2VO9 and LaTa2VO9-based solid solutions are similar to the structure of LaTa7O19, which refers to the hexagonal crystal system. The influence of the oxygen nonstoichiometry δ(x) on crystallochemical characteristics and spectral properties of these solid solutions were examined by the X-ray phase analysis, IR and radio spectroscopic methods. A correlation between the nonstoichiometry δ(x) and the volume of a unit cell V(x) of solid solutions LaTa2−2xNb2xVO9−δ was found. The IR spectrum of LaTa2VO9−δ transformed in going from δ=0 to δ≠0. Two types of VO4 tetrahedra were formed in solid solutions LaNb2−2xTa2xVO9−δ depending on δ(x).  相似文献

The influence of the boron-doping levels in boron-doped diamond film electrodes on the electrochemical response of nitrofurantoin (NFT) and the development of an electroanalytical procedure for NFT determination were investigated. The investigations were carried out using the techniques of cyclic voltammetry and square wave voltammetry on diamond film electrodes with different boron-doping levels (i.e., 5000, 10,000 and 20,000 mg L−1). The level of boron-doping in the diamond film electrodes influenced the electrochemical reduction of NFT. The appropriate cyclic voltammetric response of NFT was obtained with Britton-Robinson buffer at pH 4 and for diamond films doped with 10,000 and 20,000 mg L−1 of boron. These two films were selected for the development of the electroanalytical procedure. The use of square wave voltammetry with the optimized parameters demonstrated a good linear relationship between the peak current and the NFT concentration for a wide range of concentration. The lower limit of detection for the electrodes doped with 10,000 and 20,000 mg L−1 of boron were 2.69 × 10−8 mol L−1 (6.40 μg L−1) and 8.15 × 10−9 mol L−1 (1.94 μg L−1), respectively, while the lower limits of quantification were 8.96 × 10−8 mol L−1 (21.33 μg L−1) and 2.72 × 10−8 mol L−1 (6.47 μg L−1), respectively. The applicability of the proposed procedure was tested using a commercial pharmaceutical formulation of NFT, and the results were compared with the procedure recommended by the British Pharmacopeia. The proposed procedure was sensitive, accurate and precise for analysis of NFT and did not require complex preparations or renovations of the electrode surface. This presents the advantage of eliminating mercury waste and minimizing the adsorptive problems related to the use of other electrodic solid surfaces.  相似文献

The standard molar enthalpies of vaporizationΔlgHmo of N -(hydroxyethyl)-piperazine, bis-piperidino-methane, 1,3,5-tri-methyl-hexahydro-s-triazine, and also the enthalpies of sublimation ΔcrgHmoofN,N -di(hydroxyethyl)-piperazine, and hexamethylenetetramine were obtained from the temperature dependence of the vapor pressure measured in a flow system. The standard molar enthalpies of formationΔfHmo (l) at the temperatureT =  298.15 K were measured by means combustion calorimetry for bis-piperidino-methane and 1,3,5-tri-methyl-hexahydro-s-triazine. Strain enthalpies (ring-correction terms) of these cyclohexanoid molecules were derived from the experimental enthalpies of formation of the gaseous compounds. These experimental results, together with data available from the literature, provided a quantitative understanding of the interrelations of structure and energetics of a mono- and poly-cyclic cyclohexanoid molecules and strain of their component rings.  相似文献

The results of quantum chemical calculations of the potential profile in the LaF3 crystal lattice in the range of superionic phase transition are presented for clusters containing 24 to 1200 ions. It is found that the values of formation energy E a of vacancy-interstitial fluoride ion defects and potential barriers E d hindering the movement of fluoride ions and determining the efficiency of charge transport in the lattice grow monotonously from the minimum values E a = 0.12 eV and E d = 0.22 eV for a 24-ion cluster to the maximum E a = 0.16 eV and E d = 0.26 eV for clusters of 576 and 1200 ions. It is shown that the values of E a and E d obtained for the dielectric phase (T < T c) are several times the values of E a and E d for the superionic state (TT c) of LaF3. The values of E a and E d obtained by quantum chemical calculations from clusters of 576 and 1200 ions agree well with energies E a and E d obtained from the analysis of the data of the Raman and quasielastic light scattering.  相似文献
