A thiocarbamide derivative containing Schiff base groups,1,5-bis[4-(dimethylamino)benzylidene]thiocarbonohydrazide,has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis,IR,1H NMR,UV and X-ray single-crystal diffraction.Density function theory(DFT) calculations at the B3LYP/6-31G* and PBE0/6-31G* levels for optimized geometries and electronic transition spectra have been performed.Comparative studies show that both B3LYP/6-31G* and PBE0/6-31G* methods can well reproduce the molecular structure, and the latter is more reliable than the former to simulate electronic spectra.NPA calculational results at the B3LYP/6-31G* level indicate the title compound to be a potential multidentate ligand to the metallic ions.Based on the vibrational analysis, thermodynamic properties at different temperatures have been obtained.  相似文献

Quantum chemistry calculations have been performed using Gaussian03 program to compute optimized geometry, harmonic vibrational frequency along with intensities in IR and Raman spectra and atomic charges at RHF/6-31+G*, B3LYP/6-31+G* and B3LYP/6-31++G* levels for 2-mercaptobenzothiazole (MBT, C7H5NS2) and 2-mercaptobenzoxazole (MBO, C7H5NOS) in the ground state. The scaled harmonic vibrational frequencies have been compared with experimental FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra. The results show that the scaled theoretical vibrational frequencies is very good agreement with the experimental values. A detailed interpretation of the infrared and Raman spectra of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole and 2-mercaptobenzoxazole was reported. Comparison of calculated spectra with the experimental spectra provides important information about the ability of the computational method to describe the vibrational modes.  相似文献

The solid phase FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra of 4,5-dichloro-3-hydroxypyridazine have been recorded in the regions 4000-400 cm(-1) and 3500-100 cm(-1), respectively. The spectra were interpreted with the aid of normal coordinate analysis following a full structure optimization and force field calculations based on the density functional theory (DFT) using the standard B3LYP/6-31G* and B3LYP/6-311+G** method and basis set combinations. The DFT force field transformed to natural internal coordinates was corrected by a well-established set of scale factors that were found to be transferable to the title compound. The IR and Raman spectra were predicted theoretically and compared with the experimental spectra.  相似文献

DFT calculations were performed on (S)-methyl tetrahydrofuran-2-carboxylate to facilitate the interpretation of IR and VCD spectra. The potential energy surface could not be described unambiguously using the 6-31G* basis set in combination with different density functionals including B1LYP, B3LYP, B3P86, B3PW91, B98, BHandH, BHandHLYP, MPW1PW91 and PBE1PBE. In contrast, a uniform conformational picture could be found using the cc-pVTZ basis set. Using this large basis set and the collection of nine functionals from above, the dipole and rotational strengths were calculated, and compared to experimental values which were extracted from the experimental IR and VCD spectra for (+)-(S)-methyl tetrahydrofuran-2-carboxylate. A detailed analysis on the agreement between experiment and simulated spectra was performed by assigning the experimental bands based on the harmonic fundamentals obtained for all functionals except BHandH, which performs badly over the whole line. Assessing the dipole strengths, all tested functionals perform equally well. For the rotational strengths, differences can be observed: B3LYP, B1LYP and B98 give the highest correlation with experiment, while PBE1PBE gives the lowest correlation. Comparable conclusions are obtained using a neighborhood similarity measure.  相似文献

A theoretical study of the structure and the vibrational spectra of the beta-carotene molecule and its derivatives capsanthin and capsorubin is carried out. We first investigate systematically the theoretical method which provides the best results for beta-carotene by performing ab initio calculations at the HF/6-31G(d), SVWN/6-31G(d), PBE0/6-31G(d), BLYP/6-31G(d), B3LYP/6-31G(d), B3LYP/6-31G(d,p), B3LYP/6-311G(d), and B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) levels and by using previous theoretical results available in the literature obtained at the AM1 and BPW91/6-31G(d) levels. The influence of both the level of calculation and the size of the basis set used in the geometry optimization and in the determination of the IR and Raman spectra of this molecule is thus analyzed. It is confirmed that the hybrid functional B3LYP with the basis 6-31G(d) is the method that gives the best results as a whole. By use of this level of calculation, we next optimize the molecular geometries of related molecules of capsanthin and capsorubin, which to the best of our knowledge have only been studied at the semiempirical AM1 level. In addition we calculate the IR and Raman spectra of these molecules at the B3LYP/6-31G(d) level of theory. The results obtained for capsanthin show on the one hand that the double bond of the beta-ionone ring is outside the polyene chain plane, due to the repulsion between the hydrogen atoms of the ring methyl groups and the hydrogen atoms of the polyene chain, and on the other hand that the carbonyl double bond in the other headgroup is very close to planarity with the polyene chain, since in this case such a repulsion does not exist. For the molecule of capsorubin the two carbonyl groups also take the same coplanar orientation relative to the polyene chain. The IR and Raman spectra theoretically computed for these two molecules are finally compared with their experimental spectra and the vibrational normal modes of the main signals are interpreted.  相似文献

The Fourier Transform Infrared spectrum of (S)-4 ethyl-4-hydroxy-1H-pyrano [3',4':6,7]-indolizino-[1,2-b-quinoline-3,14-(4H,12H)-dione] [camptothecin] was recorded in the region 4000-400 cm(-1). The Fourier Transform Raman spectrum of camptothecin (CPT) was also recorded in the region 3500-50 cm(-1). Quantum chemical calculations of geometrical structural parameters and vibrational frequencies of CPT were carried out by MP2/6-31G(d,p) and density functional theory DFT/B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) methods. The assignment of each normal mode has been made using the observed and calculated frequencies, their IR and Raman intensities. The harmonic vibrational frequencies were calculated and the scaled values have been compared with experimental FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra. Most of the computed frequencies were found to be in good agreement with the experimental observations. The isotropic chemical shifts computed by (13)C and (1)H NMR analysis also show good agreement with experimental observations. Comparison of calculated spectra with the experimental spectra provides important information about the ability of computational method to describe the vibrational modes of large sized organic molecule.  相似文献

Raman spectroscopy was used to examine the interactions of the free O-H bonds in n-octanol and ethanol with the organic solvents carbon tetrachloride (CCl(4)), cyclohexane, and benzene. These spectra reveal that the solvents CCl(4) and cyclohexane have a small effect on the free O-H peak of alcohols, whereas benzene as a solvent significantly red-shifts the free O-H band. Calculated spectra were generated via MP2/6-31G* calculations and the B3LYP/6-31+G**//MP2/6-31G*-derived Boltzmann populations of each ethanol complex and are consistent with the experimental results. Additional spectra were calculated using Boltzmann populations derived from single-point energies at the polarizable continuum model (PCM) level with the B3LYP/6-31+G** level of theory to take overall solvent effects into account, and these simulated spectra are also largely consistent with the experimental results. Analysis of the computational results reveals a lengthening of the O-H bond from the O-H interaction with the delocalized electronic structure of benzene as well as a bimodal distribution of the free O-H peak of the alcohol/benzene mixtures due to two distinctly different types of alcohol/benzene complexes.  相似文献

The compound 4-N-bicyclo [2.2.1] hept-2'-en-2'-amino-N-azatricyclo [3.2.1.0(2,4)] octane (2) has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV-vis, mass and NMR. Density functional theory (DFT) and Hartree-Fock (HF) calculations have been carried out for the title compound by using the standard 6-31G* basis set. The calculated results show that the predicted geometry can well reproduce the structural parameters. Predicted vibrational frequencies have been assigned and compared with experimental IR spectra and they complement each other. The theoretical electronic absorption spectra have been calculated by using CIS, TD-DFT and ZINDO methods. The (13)C NMR and (1)H NMR of compound (2) have been calculated by means of Becke 3-Lee-Yang-Parr (B3LYP) density functional method with 6-31G* basis set. Comparison between the experimental and the theoretical results indicates that density functional B3LYP method is able to provide satisfactory results for predicting NMR properties. On the basis of vibrational analyses, the thermodynamic properties of the title compound at different temperatures have been calculated.  相似文献

2-(4-Fluorobenzylideneamino)-3-mercaptopropanoic acid (4-FC) was synthesized through the reaction of 4-fluorobenzaldehyde and l-cysteine in refluxing EtOH. Its structure was verified by (1)H NMR, FT-IR and Raman. The ground-state geometries were optimized at B3LYP/6-31G**, B3LYP/6-31G*, HF/6-31G** and HF/6-31G* levels without symmetry constrains, respectively. The vibrational wavenumbers of 4-FC were calculated at same level. The scaled theoretical spectra using B3LYP methods, which are in a good agreement with the experimental ones, are superior to those using HF methods.  相似文献

The infrared (IR) and vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) spectra of S-2,2'-dimethyl-biphenyl-6,6'-dicarboxylic acid, S-1, in CDCl(3) solution are concentration-dependent, showing that oligomerization occurs with increasing concentration. DFT calculations support the conclusion that the oligomer formed is the cyclic tetramer (S-1)(4), in which S-1 monomers are linked by hydrogen(H)-bonded (COOH)(2) moieties. Due to the existence of two inequivalent tautomeric conformations of each (COOH)(2) moiety, six inequivalent conformations of (S-1)(4) are possible. B3LYP/6-31G* DFT calculations predict that the conformation "aaab", possessing three equivalent (COOH)(2) conformations, a, and one tautomeric conformation, b, has the lowest free energy. B3LYP/6-31G* IR and VCD spectra vary substantially with conformation. The B3LYP/6-31G* IR and VCD spectra of the C=O stretch modes of "aaab" are in excellent agreement with the experimental spectra, while those of all other conformations exhibit poor agreement, confirming the prediction that the "aaab" conformation is the predominant conformation. Comparison of the calculated IR and VCD spectra of the six conformations to the experimental spectra in the range 1100-1600 cm(-1) further supports this conclusion. The study is the first to use VCD spectroscopy to determine the structure of a supramolecular species.  相似文献

2-(4-Fluorobenzylideneamino)-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl) propanoic acid (4-FT) was synthesized through the reaction of 4-fluorobenzaldehyde and l-tyrosine in refluxing EtOH. The structure of 4-FT was verified by measuring 1H NMR, FTIR and Raman. The ground-state geometries were optimized at B3LYP/6-31G**, B3LYP/6-31G*, HF/6-31G** and HF/6-31G* levels without symmetry constrains. The vibrational wavenumbers of 4-FT were calculated at same levels. The scaled spectra using B3LYP methods, which are in a good agreement with the measured spectra, are superior to those calculated using HF methods.  相似文献

A structural and vibrational theoretical study for vanadyl nitrate was carried out. The Density Functional Theory (DFT) has been used to study vibrational properties. The structures were fully optimized at the B3LYP/6‐31G*, B3LYP/6‐311G*, and B3LYP/6‐311+G* levels of theory and the harmonic vibrational frequencies were evaluated at the same level. The calculated harmonic vibrational frequencies for vanadyl nitrate are consistent with their experimental IR and Raman spectra in gas and liquid phases. Through these calculations a precise knowledge of the normal modes of vibration was obtained, considering the coordination mode adopted by the nitrate group in the mirror plane as monodentate and bidentate. A total assignment of the observed bands in the vibrational spectra for vanadyl nitrate is proposed in this work. The nature of the V–O and V ← O bonds in the compound was systematically and quantitatively investigated by means of the Natural Bond Order (NBO) analysis. The topological properties of the electronic charge density were analyzed employing Bader's Atoms in Molecules theory (AIM).  相似文献

A new Schiff base (E)-4-((4-bromobenzylidene) amino) benzenesulfonamide (M2) was synthesized by the reaction between 4-bromobenzaldehyde and sulfanilamide followed by characterization using IR, Raman, UV–Visible, 1HNMR, and 13CNMR spectral techniques. This was followed by electronic structure studies using DFT and TD-DFT. We simulated the IR spectrum using B3LYP/6-31+G(d,p) level of theory, followed by a comparison with experimental spectra and detailed potential energy distribution and vibrational assignment analysis. The comparison of experimental UV and simulated UV spectrum using TD-DFT B3LYP/6-31+G(d,p) in DMSO solvent atmosphere gave good agreement. As Schiff bases are biologically active, we checked for the potential activity of the synthesized compound with the help of ADMET prediction and found it to be active. Wavefunctions related properties like ELF, LOL, and ELF are also reported. Prediction of biological activity spectrum study indicated possible antibacterial activity against bacteria, which is supported by molecular docking against Staphylococcus aureus (3U2D) protein with a docking score of ?7.1 kcal/mol. Experimental antibacterial study using the compound and standard drugs confirmed this prediction.  相似文献

The Fourier transform Raman and Fourier transform infrared spectra of 2-amino-4,5-difluorobenzoic acid (2A45DFBA) were recorded in the solid phase. The equilibrium geometry, harmonic vibrational frequencies, infrared intensities and Raman scattering activities, depolarization ratios were calculated by HF and density functional B3LYP method with the 6-31+G(d, p) and 6-311+G(d, p) basis sets. The scaled theoretical wavenumbers showed very good agreement with the experimental values. The thermodynamic functions of the title compound were also performed at HF/6-31+G(d, p)/6-311+G(d, p) and B3LYP/6-31+G(d, p)/6-311+G(d, p) levels of theory. A detailed interpretations of the infrared and Raman spectra of 2-amino-4,5-difluorobenzoic acid is reported. The Fourier transform Raman and Fourier transform infrared spectra of 2-amino-5-iodopyridine were recorded in the solid phase. The equilibrium geometry, harmonic vibrational frequencies, infrared intensities and Raman scattering activities were calculated by HF and DFT (B3LYP) methods with the 6-31G(d,p) basis set for C, N, H and LANL2DZ pseudopotential for I. The scaled theoretical wavenumbers showed very good agreement with the experimental ones. A detailed interpretation of the infrared and Raman spectra of 2-amino-5-iodopyridine is reported on the basis of the calculated potential energy distribution. The theoretical spectrograms for the IR spectrum of the title molecule have been constructed.  相似文献

2,5-Diamino-3,6-dichloro-1,4-benzoquinone has been synthesized by modifying the procedure reported in literature. Its IR spectrum has been recorded in the solid phase in the range 4000-400cm(-1). Ab initio calculations have been performed using Gaussian '03 program to compute optimized geometry, harmonic vibrational frequencies along with intensities in IR and Raman spectra and atomic charges at RHF/6-31+G*, B3LYP/6-31+G* and B3LYP/6-311++G** levels. To make vibrational analysis Gaussian View software was used. The optimized molecular structure is found to possess C2h point group symmetry. The observed IR frequencies have been assigned to different modes taking C2h molecular symmetry with the help of pictorial view of normal modes. From the magnitude of the observed frequencies corresponding to the NH2 stretching motions an indication of H-bonding is noticed. From geometrical parameters of the molecule it appears that two parallel sets of conjugated strands are formed in this molecule providing a route to conduct charges. The N-H bonds facing towards chlorine atoms are found to be shorter than those facing towards oxygen atoms indicating the presence of H-bonding between hydrogen atom of an NH2 group and carbonyl (quinoid) oxygen atom.  相似文献

The ground state structures of 5,5″-diperfluorophenyl-2,2′:5′,2″:5″,2‴-quaterthiophene (1), 5,5′-bis{1-[4-(thien-2-yl)perfluorophenyl]}-2,2′-dithiophene (2), 4,4′-bis[5-(2,2′-dithiophenyl)]-perfluorobiphenyl (3), 5,5″-diperfluorophenyl-2,2′:5′,2″-tertthiophene (4), 5,5′-diperfluorophenyl-2,2′-dihiophene (5), and 5,5-diperfluorophenylthiophene (6) have been optimized at the B3LYP/6-31G(d), B3LYP/6-31G(d,p), PBE0/6-31G(d), and PBE0/6-31G(d,p) level of theories. The B3LYP/6-31+G(d) and PBE0/6-31+G(d) level of theories have been applied to investigate the absorption spectra. The PBE0 functional is good to predict the C–S bond lengths while the C–F bond lengths are good envisaged with B3LYP functional. The increment of thiophene rings between two perfluoroarene rings leads to red shift in absorption spectra. The electron affinities are energetically destabilized while energetic stabilization of the radical-cation increases by decreasing the thiophene rings from four to one. The perfluoroarene rings leads to enhance the electron injection.  相似文献

We have carried out a structural and vibrational theoretical study for chromyl nitrate. The density functional theory has been used to study its structure and vibrational properties. The geometries were fully optimised at the B3LYP/Lanl2DZ, B3LYP/6-31G* and B3LYP/6-311++G levels of theory and the harmonic vibrational frequencies were evaluated at the same levels. The calculated harmonic vibrational frequencies for chromyl nitrate are consistent with the experimental IR and Raman spectra in the solid and liquid phases. These calculations gave us a precise knowledge of the normal modes of vibration taking into account the type of coordination adopted by nitrate groups of this compound as monodentate and bidentate. We have also made the assignment of all the observed bands in the vibrational spectra for chromyl nitrate. The nature of the Cr-O and Cr<--O bonds in the compound were quantitatively investigated by means of Natural Bond Order (NBO) analysis. The topological properties of electronic charge density are analysed employing Bader's Atoms in Molecules theory (AIM).  相似文献

The ground-state structure and electronic properties of a newly synthesized red fluorescent material, 2-[3-(2-{4-[(2-hydroxy-ethyl)-methyl-amino]-phenyl}-vinyl)-5, 5-dimethyl-cyclohex-2-enylidene]-malononitrile (A31), are investigated using a hybrid density-functional theory (DFT) approach, B3LYP, and the 6-31G* basis set. We have obtained four geometrical isomers. The theoretical infrared (IR) spectrum calculated by B3LYP/6-31G* level of theory is in very good agreement with our experimental measurement. The cation and anion are optimized to clarify the effects of the hole and electron injections and the energies needed by injections are estimated.  相似文献

Density functional theory (DFT), HF and MP2 calculations have been carried out to investigate thioxanthone molecule using the standard 6-31+G(d,p) basis set. The results of MP2 calculations show a butterfly structure for thioxanthone. The calculated results show that the predicted geometry can well reproduce the structural parameters. The predicted vibrational frequencies were assigned and compared with experimental IR spectra. A good harmony between theory and experiment is found. The theoretical electronic absorption spectra have been calculated using CIS method. 13C and 1H NMR of the title compound have been calculated by means of B3LYP density functional method with 6-31+G(d,p) basis set. The comparison of the experimental and the theoretical results indicate that density functional B3LYP method is able to provide satisfactory results for predicting NMR properties.  相似文献
