Poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) nanoparticles with a sensitive CO2‐responsive hydrophilic/hydrophobic surface that confers controlled dispersion and aggregation in water were prepared by emulsion polymerization at 50 °C under CO2 bubbling using amphiphilic diblock copolymers of 2‐dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate (DMAEMA) and N‐isopropyl acrylamide (NIPAAm) as an emulsifier. The amphiphilicity of the hydrophobic–hydrophilic diblock copolymer at 50 °C was triggered by CO2 bubbling in water and enabled the copolymer to serve as an emulsifier. The resulting PMMA nanoparticles were spherical, approximately 100 nm in diameter and exhibited sensitive CO2/N2‐responsive dispersion/aggregation in water. Using copolymers with a longer PNIPAAm block length as an emulsifier resulted in smaller particles. A higher concentration of copolymer emulsifier led to particles with a stickier surface. Given its simple preparation and reversible CO2‐triggered amphiphilic behavior, this newly developed block copolymer emulsifier offers a highly efficient route toward the fabrication of sensitive CO2‐stimuli responsive polymeric nanoparticle dispersions. © 2019 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this work, we have synthesized a polycation and a polyanion via a combination of oxyanion‐initiated polymerization and polymer reaction, and then developed a novel approach to prepare a controlled magnetic target gene carrier with magnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles as core and poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) segment as corona via layer‐by‐layer (LbL) assembly and shell‐crosslinking. Magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) were first modified by poly[2‐(dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate] (PDMAEMA) via radical polymerization. The resulting MNPs were used to compact deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) through LbL assembly, involving four steps: ( 1 ) the binding of DNA to the polycation PDMAEMA on the surface of MNPs; ( 2 ) the produced particles in Step 1 with negative charge interacting with additional polycation ethoxy group end‐capped PDMAEMA (EtO‐PDMAEMA) homopolymer, leading to a positive charge surface; ( 3 ) using carboxyl group (‐COO) of poly(methacrylic acid) (PMAA) in a diblock copolymer (MePEG2000‐b‐PMAASH) as polyanion, which has partial mercapto groups (‐SH) in PMAA segment, to interact with the particles produced in Step 2; ( 4 ) the shell of the composite nanoparticle was crosslinked by oxidizing the ‐SH groups of the MePEG2000‐b‐PMAASH to form disulfide linkage (S? S). All the processes of LbL assembly were investigated by agarose gel retardation assay and zeta potential measurements. The in vitro cytotoxicity analysis proves that polyions/DNA MNPs have excellent properties and potential applications as gene carriers. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A new type of chiral magnetic nanoparticle was prepared from covalently linked magnetic nanoparticles (Fe3O4) and heptakis‐(6‐O‐triisopropylsilyl)‐β‐cyclodextrin (6‐TIPS‐β‐CD). The resulting selectors (TIPS‐β‐CD‐MNPs) combined the good magnetic properties Fe3O4 and efficient chiral recognition ability of 6‐TIPS‐β‐CD. The enantioselectivity of TIPS‐β‐CD‐MNPs towards 1‐(1‐naphthyl)ethylamine was six times higher than that of the parent β‐CD modified Fe3O4 particles.  相似文献

The development of magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) with functional groups has been intensively pursued in recent years. Herein, a simple, versatile, and cost‐effective strategy to synthesize water‐soluble and amino‐functionalized MNPs, based on the thermal decomposition of phthalimide‐protected metal–organic precursors followed by deprotection, was developed. The resulting amino‐functionalized Fe3O4, MnFe2O4, and Mn3O4 MNPs with particle sizes of about 14.3, 7.5, and 6.6 nm, respectively, had narrow size distributions and good dispersibility in water. These MNPs also exhibited high magnetism and relaxivities of r2=107.25 mM?1 s?1 for Fe3O4, r2=245.75 mM?1 s?1 for MnFe2O4, and r1=2.74 mM?1 s?1 for Mn3O4. The amino‐functionalized MNPs were further conjugated with a fluorescent dye (rhodamine B) and a targeting ligand (folic acid: FA) and used as multifunctional probes. Magnetic resonance imaging and flow‐cytometric studies showed that these probes could specifically target cancer cells overexpressing FA receptors. This new protocol opens a new way for the synthesis and design of water‐soluble and amino‐functionalized MNPs by an easy and versatile route.  相似文献

Nanogels based on biocompatible, dual pH‐ and temperature‐sensitive poly(2‐(diethylamino)ethyl) methacrylate (PDEAEMA) have been successfully used as nanocontainers for the encapsulation of magnetite, Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs). For this purpose, citric acid‐coated MNPs were encapsulated into previously synthesized PDEAEMA‐based nanogels using a poly(ethyleneglycol)‐based stabilizer. After the encapsulation of the magnetite MNPs, the so‐called magneto‐nanogels (MNGs) were proved to be multiresponsive on temperature, pH, and magnetic field and colloidally stable. Moreover, preliminary studies on the biocompatibility of these MNGs with cells of human peripheral blood were performed and evidenced quite tolerable biocompatibility, thus suggesting potential use in biomedical applications. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) were functionalized by aminopropylsilane and reacted with aromatic aldehyde, and Fe3O4‐Si‐[CH2]3‐N=CH‐Aryl and Fe3O4‐Si‐(CH2)3‐NH‐CH2‐Aryl MNPs were prepared as novel magnetic nanocatalysts. Fourier transform infrared (FT‐IR), X‐ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning and transmission electron microscopy (SEM and TEM) were used to identify the MNPs. The catalytic activity of the MNPs was evaluated in the one‐pot synthesis of some novel poly‐substituted pyridine derivatives.  相似文献

A simple and efficient procedure has been developed for the synthesis of biologically relevant 2‐substituted benzimidazoles through a one‐pot condensation of o‐phenylenediamines with aryl aldehydes catalysed by iron oxide magnetic nanoparticles (Fe3O4 MNPs) in short reaction times with excellent yields. In the present study, Fe3O4 MNPs synthesized in a green manner using aqueous extract of white tea (Camelia sinensis) (Wt‐Fe3O4 MNPs) were applied as a magnetically separable heterogeneous nanocatalyst to synthesize 2‐(4‐chlorophenyl)‐1H–benzo[d]imidazole which has potential application in pharmacology and biological systems. Fourier transform infrared and NMR spectroscopies were used to characterize the 2‐(4‐chlorophenyl)‐1H–benzo[d]imidazole. In vitro cytotoxicity studies on MOLT‐4 cells showed a dose‐dependent toxicity with non‐toxic effect of 2‐(4‐chlorophenyl)‐1H–benzo[d]imidazole, up to a concentration of 0.147 µM. The green synthesized Wt‐Fe3O4 MNPs as recyclable nanocatalyst could be used for further research on the synthesis of therapeutic materials, particularly in nanomedicine, to assist in the treatment of cancer.  相似文献

The surface of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) was modified by chloropropylsilane and histidine. The imidazole group of prepared Fe3O4@Propylsilane@Histidine MNPs converted to imidazolium hydrogen sulfate group and Fe3O4@Propylsilane@Histidine [HSO4] as a novel environmentally friendly ionic liquid/ magnetite nanoparticle was prepared, successfully. FT‐IR, XRD, SEM and TEM instruments was used to identifiy the histidine ionic liquids/magnetite nanoparticles (HILMNPs). The catalytic activity of synthesized HILMNPs was appraised for the synthesis of 9‐aryl‐1,8‐dioxooctahydroxanthene and spiro[indoline‐3,9′‐xanthene]trione derivatives. The activity of HILMNPs was much better than the other reported heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysts. Furthermore, the prepared catalyst could be separated from the reaction mixture and reused four times without any significant loss in its activity.  相似文献

A novel antimicrobial nanohybrid based on near‐infrared (NIR) photothermal conversion is designed for bacteria capture, separation, and sterilization (killing). Positively charged magnetic reduced graphene oxide with modification by polyethylenimine (rGO–Fe3O4–PEI) is prepared and then loaded with core–shell–shell Au–Ag–Au nanorods to construct the nanohybrid rGO–Fe3O4–Au–Ag–Au. NIR laser irradiation melts the outer Au shell and exposes the inner Ag shell, which facilitates controlled release of the silver shell. The nanohybrids combine physical photothermal sterilization as a result of the outer Au shell with the antibacterial effect of the inner Ag shell. In addition, the nanohybrid exhibits high heat conductivity because of the rGO and rapid magnetic‐separation capability that is attributable to Fe3O4. The nanohybrid provides a significant improvement of bactericidal efficiency with respect to bare Au–Ag–Au nanorods and facilitates the isolation of bacteria from sample matrixes. A concentration of 25 μg mL?1 of nanohybrid causes 100 % capture and separation of Escherichia coli O157:H7 (1×108 cfu mL?1) from an aqueous medium in 10 min. In addition, it causes a 22 °C temperature rise for the surrounding solution under NIR irradiation (785 nm, 50 mW cm?2) for 10 min. With magnetic separation, 30 μg mL?1 of nanohybrid results in a 100 % killing rate for E. coli O157:H7 cells. The facile bacteria separation and photothermal sterilization is potentially feasible for environmental and/or clinical treatment.  相似文献

The use of bronate affinity adsorbents is a new separation method that appeared recently with great potential for specific extraction of cis‐diol‐containing compounds. In this work,a new strategy for the facile construction of boronic acid‐functionalized Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles (Fe3O4@FPBA MNPs) with a high capacity was described. The extraction capacity of the Fe3O4@FPBA MNPs was determined to be 66.0 ± 2.7 µmol/g for catechol and 80.6 ± 2.0 µmol/g for dopamine, being higher than that for the reported methods. The Fe3O4@FPBA MNPs were used to extract four cis‐diol drugs: caffeic acid isopropyl ester, caffic acid bornyl ester, isopropyl 3‐(3,4‐dihydroxyphenyl)‐2‐hydroxypropanoate and 3‐(3, 4‐dihydroxyphenyl)‐2‐hydroxylpropionic acid – from the spiked rabbit plasma, and the recoveries of four drugs were between 87.29 and104.37% with relative standard deviations ranging from 1.34 to 8.81%. Under the most favorable conditions, the solid‐phase extraction combined with HPLC‐UV for the analysis of four drugs in plasma could eliminate interferences from endogenous components of the biological fluids and exhibited sufficient precision and accuracy. These results showed that the prepared Fe3O4@FPBA MNPs were qualified for efficiently enriching and determining the trace cis‐diol substances from biological samples. A novel chiral magnetic nanocatalyst was prepared by the surface modification of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) with a chloropropylsilane and further by arginine to form Fe3O4@propylsilan‐arginine (Fe3O4@PS‐Arg). After the structural confirmation of Fe3O4@PS‐Arg synthesized MNPs by Fourier transform‐infrared, X‐ray diffraction, field emission‐scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, vibrating‐sample magnetometry and thermogravimetric analyses, their catalytic activity was evaluated for one‐pot enantioselective synthesis of 3‐amino‐1‐aryl‐1H‐benzo[f]chromene‐2‐carbonitrile derivatives. The results showed that in the presence of 0.07 g Fe3O4@PS‐Arg nanocatalyst and ethanol as solvent, the best reaction yield (96%) was obtained in the least time (5 min). Easy operation, reusability and stability, short reaction time, high reaction yields and good enantioselectivity are the major advantages of the newly synthesized nanocatalyst. Also, this study provides a novel strategy for further research and investigation on the synthesis of new reusable enantioselective catalysts and chiral compounds.  相似文献

Novel Pd nanoparticles were prepared in five successive stages: 1) preparation of the Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles (Fe3O4 MNPs), 2) coating of Fe3O4 MNPs with SiO2 (Fe3O4@SiO2), 3) functionalization of Fe3O4@SiO2 with 3‐chloropropyltrimethoxy‐ silane (CPTMS) ligand (Fe3O4@SiO2@CPTMS), 4) further functionalization with 3,5‐diamino‐1,2,4‐triazole (DAT) ligand (Fe3O4@SiO2@CPTMS @DAT), and 5) the complexation of Fe3O4@SiO2@CPTMS@DAT with PdCl2 (Fe3O4@SiO2@CPTMS@ DAT@Pd). Then, the obtained Pd nano‐catalyst characterized by different methods such as the elemental analysis (CHN), FT‐IR, XRD, EDX, SEM, TEM, TG‐DTA and VSM. Finally, the Pd catalyst was applied for the synthesis of various 2‐imino‐3‐phenyl‐2,3‐dihydrobenzo[d]oxazol‐5‐ols.  相似文献

In this research, green procedure was employed for biosynthesis of magnetic nanoparticles of iron oxide (Fe3O4‐MNPs) by reduction of ferric chloride solution with Orange peel water extract. Also, dihydro‐2H‐cyclopenta[d][1,3]oxazole was generated through multicomponent reaction of 1,3‐oxazole‐2(3H)‐thione, dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates, α‐haloketones, and Fe3O4‐MNPs as catalyst at ambient temperature in good yield. Initially, 1,3‐oxazole‐2(3H)‐thione derivatives as one of the precursors are produced through the reaction of alkyl bromides, isothiocyanate, sodium hydride, and Fe3O4‐MNPs as catalyst water at ambient temperature in 83–95% yields. Also, diphenyl‐picrylhydrazine radical trapping and ferric reduction activity potential assays are used for evaluation of antioxidant activity of some synthesized compounds. Among investigated compounds, 4b has good power for radical trapping activity and 4d has good reduction power to butylated hydroxytoluene and 2‐tert‐butylhydroquinone.  相似文献

Carboxylic acid capped γ‐Fe2O3 nanoparticles were prepared by the standard decomposition of Fe(CO)5 in di‐n‐octyl ether and oleic acid. Two methods were employed to introduce surface functionality to the nanoparticles. First, a thermally stable, tert‐butyldiphenylsilyl‐protected hydroxyl group was incorporated into the carboxylic acid surfactant used during the synthesis. Subsequent deprotection and transformation installed a 2‐bromopropionyl ester group on the particle surface (the functional‐group‐interchange method). The resulting nanoparticles were 4.53 nm in average diameter and were characterized with IR spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), selected area electron diffraction, and elemental analysis. Second, a 2‐bromopropionyl ester group was installed on the particle surface after synthesis via the exchange of the surface oleic acid with a carboxylic acid containing the desired 2‐bromopropionyl ester unit (the ligand‐exchange method). The resulting nanoparticles were 4.30 nm in average diameter and were characterized with IR spectroscopy, TEM, and elemental analysis. Monitoring the percentage of bromine incorporated into the nanoparticle sample versus the ligand‐exchange reaction time indicated that the number of initiator‐containing carboxylic acids that could be exchanged onto the surface was limited, presumably by the steric size of the 2‐bromopropionyl ester group. Styrene was then polymerized directly off γ‐Fe2O3 nanoparticles, and this yielded hybrid core–shell structures. The measurements of the magnetic properties of the samples demonstrated that the magnetism of the core γ‐Fe2O3 nanoparticle did not change during the performance of the chemical transformations. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A reversible addition‐fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) agent was directly anchored onto superparamagnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles (SPNPs) in a simple procedure using a ligand exchange reaction of 2‐[(dodecylsulfanylcarbonylthiolsulfanyl) propionic acid] (DCPA) with oleic acid initially present on the surface of Fe3O4 nanoparticles. The DCPA‐modified SPNPs were then used for the surface‐mediated RAFT polymerization of di(ethylene glycol) ethyl ether acrylate and (oligoethylene glycol) methyl ether acrylate to fabricate structurally well‐defined hybrid SPNPs with temperature‐responsive poly[di(ethylene glycol) ethyl ether acrylate‐co‐(oligoethylene glycol) methyl ether acrylate] shell and magnetic Fe3O4 core. Evidence of a well‐controlled surface‐mediated RAFT polymerization was gained from a linear increase of number‐average molecular weight with overall monomer conversions and relatively narrow polydispersity indices of the copolymers grown from the SPNPs. The resultant hybrid nanoparticles exhibited superparamagnetic property with a saturation magnetization of 55.1–19.4 emu/g and showed a temperature‐responsive phenomenon as the temperature changed between 25 and 40 °C. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A magnetic inorganic–organic nanohybrid material (HPA/TPI‐Fe3O4 NPs) was produced as an efficient, highly recyclable and eco‐friendly catalyst for the one‐pot multi‐component synthesis of malonamide and 2,3,4,5‐tetrahydrobenzo[b ][1,4]oxazepine derivatives with high yields in short reaction times (25–35 min) in aqueous media at room temperature. The nanohybrid catalyst was prepared by the chemical anchoring of H6P2W18O62 onto the surface of modified Fe3O4 nanoparticles (NPs) with N ‐[3‐(triethoxysilyl)propyl]isonicotinamide (TPI) linker. The magnetic recoverable catalyst was easily recycled at least ten times without any loss of catalytic activity.  相似文献

In this study, the poly(NIPAAm–MAA)/Fe3O4 hollow latex particles were synthesized by three steps. The first step was to synthesize the poly(methyl methacrylate‐co‐methylacrylate acid) (poly(MMA‐MAA)) copolymer latex particles by the method of soapless emulsion polymerization. Following the first step, the second step was to polymerize N‐isopropylacrylamide (NIPAAm), MAA, and crosslinking agent (N,N'‐methylene‐bisacrylamide (MBA)) in the presence of poly(MMA‐MAA) latex particles to form the linear poly(MMA‐MAA)/crosslinking poly (NIPAAm‐MAA) core‐shell latex particles. After the previous processes, the core‐shell latex particles were heated in the presence of NH4OH to dissolve the linear poly(MMA‐MAA) core in order to form the poly(NIPAAm‐MAA) hollow latex particles. In the third step, Fe2+ and Fe3+ ions were introduced to bond with the ? COOH groups of MAA segments in the poly(NIPAAm‐MAA) hollow polymer latex particles. Further by a reaction with NH4OH and then Fe3O4 nanoparticles were generated in situ and the poly(NIPAAm‐MAA)/Fe3O4 magnetic composite hollow latex particles were formed. The concentrations of MAA, crosslinking agent (N,N'‐methylene bisacrylamide), and Fe3O4 nanoparticles were important factors to influence the morphology of hollow latex particles and lower critical solution temperature of poly(NIPAAm–MAA)/Fe3O4 magnetic composite hollow latex particles. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A type of fluorescent–magnetic dual‐function nanocomposite, Fe3O4@SiO2@P‐2, was successfully obtained by Cu+‐catalyzed click reaction between acetylene (C?C? H)‐substituted carbazole‐based conjugated polymer ( P‐2) and azide‐terminated silica‐coated magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (Fe3O4@SiO2–N3). Optical and magnetization analyses indicate that Fe3O4@SiO2@P‐2 exhibits stable fluorescence and rapid magnetic response. The fluorescence of Fe3O4@SiO2@P‐2 was quenched significantly in the presence of I? and gave a detection limit (DL) of ~8.85 × 10?7 M. Given the high binding constant and matching ratio between Hg2+ and I?, the fluorescence of Fe3O4@SiO2@P‐2/I? complex recovered efficiently with the addition of Hg2+. A DL of ~4.17 × 10?7 M was obtained by this probing system. Recycling of Fe3O4@SiO2@P‐2 probe was readily achieved by simple magnetic separation. Results indicate that Fe3O4@SiO2@P‐2 can be used as an “on–off–on” fluorescent switchable and recyclable Hg2+ probe. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Sci., Part A: Polym. Thiourea dioxide was immobilized on γ‐Fe2O3@Cu3Al‐LDH magnetic nanoparticles to prepare the γ‐Fe2O3@Cu3Al‐LDH‐TUD MNPs. The structure and properties of these magnetic nanoparticles were established by FT‐IR, EDX, SEM, XRD, and hystogram of particle size analytical methods. The results obtained from these analytical methods confirmed the successful immobilization of the thiourea dioxide onto the magnetic support. The synthesized magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) exhibited high catalytic activity in one‐pot three‐component reactions under mild and solvent‐free conditions for the synthesis of diverse ranges of dihydropyrano[3,2‐c]pyrazoles and dihydropyrano[3,2‐c]chromens. All the reactions proceeded smoothly to furnish the respective products in excellent yields. Simple isolation of the products, avoidance of harmful organic solvents, versatility of the catalyst and its easy magnetic separation and reusability with no significant loss of activity are the main advantages of the present method.  相似文献
