The authors' chemical studies on the secondary metabolites from marine organisms are summarized. From marine sponges, algae and soft corals grown in the South China Sea, thirty five compounds were isolated. Their structures were elucidated mainly on the basis of spectral evidence. The biological activities of dysamides, 1–6 , stelletin 21 and lactone 23 are reported.  相似文献

This review presents the structure, biological activity, biosynthetic studies and, where applicable, references to syntheses of 81 marine alkaloids containing either tetra-, hexa- or octa-hydrogenated variants of pyrrolo[4,3,2-de]quinoline, pyrrolo[4,3,2-de]pyrrolo[2,3-h]quinoline and pyrido[2,3-h]pyrrolo[4,3,2-de]quinoline core skeletons. The literature describing the isolation of pyrroloiminoquinones, and related metabolites, from marine sponges is littered with taxonomic inconsistencies and recent efforts to clarify the taxonomy of the sponges that produce this group of metabolites are discussed.  相似文献

Marine sponges. (e.g., Hyrtios sp., Dragmacidin sp., Aglophenia pleuma, Aplidium cyaneum, Aplidium meridianum.) produce bioactive secondary metabolites involved in their defence mechanisms. Recently it was demonstrated that several of those compounds show a large variety of biological activities against different human diseases with possible applications in medicinal chemistry and in pharmaceutical fields, especially related to the new drug development process. Researchers have focused their attention principally on secondary metabolites with anti-cancer and cytotoxic activities. A common target for these molecules is the cytoskeleton, which has a central role in cellular proliferation, motility, and profusion involved in the metastatic process associate with tumors. In particular, many substances containing brominated indolic rings such as 5,6-dibromotryptamine, 5,6-dibromo-N-methyltryptamine, 5,6-dibromo-N-methyltryptophan (dibromoabrine), 5,6-dibromo-N,N-dimethyltryptamine and 5,6-dibromo-L-hypaphorine isolated from different marine sources, have shown anti-cancer activity, as well as antibiotic and anti-inflammatory properties. Considering the structural correlation between endogenous monoamine serotonin with marine indolic alkaloids 5,6-dibromoabrine and 5,6-dibromotryptamine, a potential use of some dibrominated indolic metabolites in the treatment of depression-related pathologies has also been hypothesized. Due to the potential applications in the treatment of various diseases and the increasing demand of these compounds for biological assays and the difficult of their isolation from marine sources, we report in this review a series of recent syntheses of marine dibrominated indole-containing products.  相似文献

Chemical investigation of methanolic extracts of the two Indonesian marine sponges Stylissa massa and Stylissa flabelliformis yielded 25 bromopyrrole alkaloids including 2 new metabolites. The structures of all isolated compounds were unambiguously elucidated based on extensive 1D and 2D NMR, LR-MS and HR-MS analyses. All isolated compounds were assayed for their antiproliferative and protein kinase inhibitory activities. Several of the tested compounds revealed selective activity(ies) which suggested preliminary SARs of the isolated bromopyrrole alkaloids.  相似文献

Two new metabolites, perthamides C and D, have been isolated from the marine sponge Theonella swinhoei. Their structures were determined by interpretation of NMR and ESIMS data. 3-Alkylpyridine alkaloids are very common secondary metabolites from marine sponges of the order Haplosclerida. Here, we report on the identification and synthesis of the first cyclic monomeric 3-alkylpyridinium alkaloid from natural sources. This review covers the marine natural products literature for the year 2000 and is organized phylogenetically, with sections on marine microorganisms and phytoplankton, green algae, brown algae, red algae, sponges, coelenterates, bryozoans, molluscs, tunicates. echinoderms and miscellaneous marine organisms. There is an emphasis on new structures, stressing their biological activities, source organisms and countries of origin, and also syntheses that confirm the structures of known compounds. [reaction: see text] Four C(11)N(5) diketopiperazine metabolites named verpacamides A (6), B (7), C (8), and D (9) consisting of a proline-arginine dipeptide skeleton have been isolated from the marine sponge Axinella vaceleti. Verpacamides A-D are a sequence of metabolites showing the transformation of proline and arginine into the oxidized guanidinyl-cyclo(Pro-Pro) 8 and 9. Compounds 6-9 are structurally and chemically related to C(11)N(5) pyrrole-2-aminoimidazole metabolites also isolated from the Axinellidae and Agelasidae families of sponges and exemplified by dispacamide A (4) and dibromophakellin (10).  相似文献

A new spontaneous oxidative transformation of the associated pyrrole-proline-guanidine to the natural marine pyrrole 2-aminoimidazolinone derivative has been achieved. The sensitive reaction requires air oxygen and the N-acylation of proline by pyrrole-2-carboxylic acid. Proline metabolism and pyrrole 2-aminoimidazole secondary metabolites formation seem to be related and are utilized by sponges under stress conditions for their defense against predators. A plausible stress-induced oxidative chemical pathway that establishes dispacamide derivatives as the forerunners in the biogenetic synthesis of the key pyrrole 2-aminoimidazole oroidin is proposed. The mechanism of the reaction seems to be another development of the known luciferins' chemiluminescent reactions in bioluminescent marine organisms.  相似文献

The principle nematocidal agent present in a southern Australian marine sponge of the genus Echinodictyum has been isolated and identified as the novel betaine (+)-echinobetaine B (6), and the structure assigned by spectroscopic analysis has been confirmed by total synthesis. Preliminary SAR conclusions are drawn from analysis of synthetic intermediates and the known marine metabolites zooanemonin (12) and norzooanemonin (13), and the new sponge metabolite norzooanemonin methyl ester (14). The latter compound is reported for the first time from a selection of Australian sponges, including an Axinyssa sp., a Niphates sp., an Axinella sp. and a Ptilocaulis sp.  相似文献

A C16 norsesterterpenoid (euplectellodiol, 1) and a norditerpenoid (2) have been isolated from the marine sponges Mycale euplectelloides and Diacarnus megaspinorhabdosa, respectively. <正>Hyrtiosulawesine was isolated from Indonesian specimens of the marine sponges Hyrtios erectus and H.reticulatu in 2002.We report here the first total synthesis of hyrtiosulawesine using an efficient and convenient synthetic strategy which could be widely used in the synthesis of otherβ-carboline compounds.All structures of new compounds were confirmed by ~1H NMR,~(13)C NMR and HRMS.  相似文献
