Reaction of the anionic cyanometallate chromophore [{Ru(CN)4}3(micro3-HAT)]6- with [MII(tren)]2+ complexes (M=ZnII, CuII) provides discrete tetradecanuclear clusters of formula [{MII(tren)(micro-CN)}11{Ru3(HAT)(CN)}]16+; the weak luminescence of the Ru3 chromophore is substantially enhanced in the presence of ZnII ions, whereas it is completely quenched when CuII centers are present.  相似文献

The tritopic bridging ligand hexaazatriphenylene (HAT) has been used to prepare the mono-, di-, and trinuclear cyanoruthenate complexes [Ru(CN)(4)(HAT)](2-) ([1](2-)), [{Ru(CN)(4)}(2)(mu(2)-HAT)](4-) ([2](4-)), and [{Ru(CN)(4)}(3)(mu(3)-HAT)](6-) ([3](6-)). These complexes are of interest both for their photophysical properties and ability to act as sensitizers, associated with strong MLCT absorptions; and their structural properties, with up to 12 externally directed cyanide ligands at a single "node" for preparation of coordination networks. The complexes are strongly solvatochromic, with broad and intense MLCT absorption manifolds arising from the presence of low-lying pi* orbitals on the HAT ligand, as confirmed by DFT calculations; in aprotic solvents [3](6-) is a panchromatic absorber of visible light. Although nonluminescent in fluid solution, the lowest MLCT excited states have lifetimes in D(2)O of tens of nanoseconds and could be detected by time-resolved IR spectrosocopy. For dinuclear [2](4-) and trinuclear [3](6-) the TRIR spectra are indicative of asymmetric MLCT excited states containing distinct Ru(III) and Ru(II) centers on the IR time scale. The complexes show red (3)MLCT luminescence as solids and in EtOH/MeOH glass at 77 K. Ln(III) salts of [1](2-), [2](4-), and [3](6-) form infinite coordination networks based on Ru-CN-Ln bridges with a range of one-, two-, and three-dimensional polymeric structures. In the Yb(III) and Nd(III) salts of [3](6- )the complex anion forms an 8-connected node. Whereas all of the Gd(III) salts show strong (3)MLCT luminescence in the solid state, the Ru-based emission in the Nd(III) and Yb(III) analogues is substantially quenched by Ru --> Ln photoinduced energy transfer, which results in sensitized near-infrared luminescence from Yb(III) and Nd(III).  相似文献

Co-crystallization of K2[Ru(bipy)(CN)4] with lanthanide(III) salts (Ln = Pr, Nd, Gd, Er, Yb) from aqueous solution affords coordination oligomers and networks in which the [Ru(bipy)(CN)4]2- unit is connected to the lanthanide cation via Ru-CN-Ln bridges. The complexes fall into two structural types: [{Ru(bipy)(CN)4}2{Ln(H2O)m}{K(H2O)n}] x xH2O (Ln = Pr, Er, Yb; m = 7, 6, 6, respectively), in which two [Ru(bipy)(CN)4]2- units are connected to a single lanthanide ion by single cyanide bridges to give discrete trinuclear fragments, and [{Ru(bipy)(CN)4}3{Ln(H2O)4}2] x xH2O (Ln = Nd, Gd), which contain two-dimensional sheets of interconnected, cyanide-bridged Ru2Ln2 squares. In the Ru-Gd system, the [Ru(bipy)(CN)4]2- unit shows the characteristic intense (3)metal-to-ligand charge transfer luminescence at 580 nm with tau = 550 ns; with the other lanthanides, the intensity and lifetime of this luminescence are diminished because of a Ru --> Ln photoinduced energy transfer to low-lying emissive states of the lanthanide ions, resulting in sensitized near-infrared luminescence in every case. From the degree of quenching of the Ru-based emission, Ru --> Ln energy-transfer rates can be estimated, which are in the order Yb (k(EnT) approximately 3 x 10(6) sec(-1), the slowest energy transfer) < Er < Pr < Nd (k(EnT) approximately 2 x 10(8) sec(-1), the fastest energy transfer). This order may be rationalized on the basis of the availability of excited f-f levels on the lanthanide ions at energies that overlap with the Ru-based emission spectrum. In every case, the lifetime of the lanthanide-based luminescence is short (tens/hundreds of nanoseconds, instead of the more usual microseconds), even when the water ligands on the lanthanide ions are replaced by D2O to eliminate the quenching effects of OH oscillators; we tentatively ascribe this quenching effect to the cyanide ligands.  相似文献

This paper reports time-resolved infrared (TRIR) spectroscopic studies on a series of weakly luminescent or nonluminescent 2,2'-bipyrimidine-based complexes to probe their electronic structure and the dynamic behavior of their excited states on the picosecond and nanosecond time scales. The complexes are mononuclear [Re(CO)3Cl(bpm)] (1), [Ru(CN)4(bpm)]2- (2), and [Ru(bpyam)2(bpm)]2+ (3) [bpm=2,2'-bipyrimidine; bpyam=2,2'-bipyridine-4,4'-(CONEt2)2] and their homodinuclear analogues [{Re(CO)3Cl}2(mu-bpm)] (4), [{Ru(CN)4}2(mu-bpm)]2- (5), and [{Ru(bpyam)2}2(mu-bpm)]4+ (6). Complex 1 shows the characteristic shift of the three nu(CO) bands to higher energy in the Re-->bpm triplet metal-to-ligand charge-transfer (3MLCT) state, which has a lifetime of 1.2 ns. In contrast, the dinuclear complex 4 shows nu(CO) transient bands to both higher and lower energy than the ground state indicative of, on the IR time scale, an asymmetric excited state [(OC)3ClReI(bpm*-)ReII(CO)3Cl] whose lifetime is 46 ps. The cyanoruthenate complexes 2 and 5 show comparable behavior, with a shift of the nu(CN) bands to higher energy in the excited state for mononuclear 2 but two sets of transient bands-one to higher energy and one to lower energy-in dinuclear 5, consistent with an asymmetric charge distribution [(NC)4RuII(bpm*-)RuIII(CN)4]4- in the 3MLCT state. These cyanoruthenate complexes have much longer lifetimes in D2O compared with CH3CN, viz., 250 ps and 3.4 ns for 2 and 65 ps and 1.2 ns for 5 in CH3CN and D2O, respectively. In complex 3, both higher-energy Ru-->bpyam and lower-energy Ru-->bpm 3MLCT states are formed following 400 nm excitation; the former decays rapidly (tau=6-7 ps) to the latter, and the subsequent decay of the Ru-->bpm 3MLCT state occurs with a lifetime of 60 or 97 ns in D2O or CH3CN, respectively. Similar behavior is shown by dinuclear 6 in both D2O and CH3CN, with initial interconversion from the Ru-->bpyam to the Ru-->bpm 3MLCT state occurring with tau approximately 7 ps and the resultant Ru-->bpm 3MLCT state decaying on the nanosecond time scale.  相似文献

Novel dicyanido-bridged dicationic RuIIISSRuIII complexes [{Ru(P(OCH3)3)2}2(mu-S2)(mu-X)2{mu-m-C6H4(CH2CN)2}](CF3SO3)2 (4, X=Cl, Br) were synthesized by the abstraction of the two terminal halide ions of [{RuX(P(OCH3)3)2}2(mu-S2)(mu-X)2] (1, X=Cl, Br) followed by treatment with m-xylylenedicyanide. 4 reacted with 2,3-dimethylbutadiene to give the C4S2 ring-bridged complex [{Ru(P(OCH3)3)2}2{mu-SCH2C(CH3)=C(CH3)CH2S}(mu-X)2{mu-m-C6H4(CH2CN)2}](CF3SO3)2 (6, X=Cl, Br). In addition, 4 reacted with 1-alkenes in CH3OH to give alkenyl disulfide complexes [{Ru(P(OCH3)3)2}2{mu-SS(CH2C=CHR)}(mu-Cl)2{mu-m-C6H4(CH2CN)2}](CF3SO3) (7: R=CH2CH3, 9: R=CH2CH2CH3) and alkenyl methyl disulfide complexes [{Ru(P(OCH3)3)2}2{mu-S(CH3)S(CH2C=HR)}(mu-Cl)2{mu-m-C6H4(CH2CN)2}](CF3SO3)2 (8: R=CH2CH3, 10: R=CH2CH2CH3) via the activation of an allylic C-H bond followed by the elimination of H+ or condensation with CH3OH. Additionally, the reaction of 4 with 3-penten-1-ol gave [{Ru(P(OCH3)3)2}2{mu-SS(CH2C=CHCH2OH)}(mu-Cl)2{mu-m-C6H4(CH2CN)2}](CF3SO3) (11) via the elimination of H+ and [{Ru(P(OCH3)3)2}2(mu-SCH2CH=CHCH2S)(mu-Cl)2{mu-m-C6H4(CH2CN)2}](CF3SO3)2 (12) via the intramolecular elimination of a H2O molecule. 12 was exclusively obtained from the reaction of 4 with 4-bromo-1-butene.  相似文献

The salts [NEt4][Ru(CN)(CO)2L(o-O2C6Cl4)] {L=PPh3 or P(OPh)3}, which undergo one-electron oxidation at the catecholate ligand to give neutral semiquinone complexes [Ru(CN)(CO)2L(o-O2C6Cl4)], react with the dimers [{Ru(CO)2L(micro-o-O2C6Cl4)}2] {L=PPh3 or P(OPh)3} to give [NEt4][(o-O2C6Cl4)L(OC)2Ru(micro-CN)Ru(CO)2L'(o-O2C6Cl4)] {L or L'=PPh3 or P(OPh)3}. The cyanide-bridged binuclear anions are, in turn, reversibly oxidised to isolable neutral and cationic complexes [(o-O2C6Cl4)L(OC)2Ru(micro-CN)Ru(CO)2L'(o-O2C6Cl4)] and [(o-O2C6Cl4)L(OC)2Ru(micro-CN)Ru(CO)2L'(o-O2C6Cl4)]+ which contain one and two semiquinone ligands respectively. Structural studies on the redox pair [(o-O2C6Cl4)(Ph3P)(OC)2Ru(micro-CN)Ru(CO)2(PPh3)(o-O2C6Cl4)]- and [(o-O2C6Cl4)(Ph3P)(OC)2Ru(micro-CN)Ru(CO)2(PPh3)(o-O2C6Cl4)] confirm that the C-bound Ru(CO)2(o-O2C6Cl4) fragment is oxidised first. Uniquely, [(o-O2C6Cl4){(PhO)3P}(OC)2Ru(micro-CN)Ru(CO)2(PPh3)(o-O2C6Cl4)]- is oxidised first at the N-bound fragment, indicating that it is possible to control the site of electron transfer by tuning the co-ligands. Crystallisation of [(o-O2C6Cl4)(Ph3P)(OC)2Ru(micro-CN)Ru(CO)2{P(OPh)3}(o-O2C6Cl4)] resulted in the formation of an isomer in which the P(OPh)3 ligand is cis to the cyanide bridge, contrasting with the trans arrangement of the X-Ru-L fragment in all other complexes of the type RuX(CO)2L(o-O2C6Cl4).  相似文献

The reaction of 6 equivalents of GaCp*(Cp*= pentamethylcyclopentadienyl) with [{Cp*RhCl2}2] yields the complex [Cp*Rh(GaCp*)3(Cl)2] (1) exhibting a cage-like intermetallic RhGa3 center with Ga-Cl-Ga bridges. Treatment of this complex with GaCl3 gives the Lewis acid-base adduct [Cp*Rh(GaCp*)2(GaCl3)]. (2) Reaction of [{Cp*RhCl2}2] with understoichiometric amounts of E(I)Cp*(E = Al, Ga, In) leads to a variety of products strongly dependent on the molecular ratio of the reactants. Thus, the reduction of [{Cp*RhCl2}2] with one equivalent of E(I)Cp*(E = Al, Ga, In) gives the RhII dimer [{Cp*RhCl}2]. The insertion of 3 equivalents of InCp* into the Rh-Cl bonds of [{Cp*RhCl2}2] yields the salt [Cp*2Rh]+[Cp*Rh(InCp*){In2Cl4(mu2-Cp*)}]- (3), the anion exhibiting an intermetallic RhIn(3) center with an intramolecularly bridging Cp* ring. The reaction of [{Cp*RhCl}2] with Cp*Ga yields various insertion products. In trace amount the "all hydrocarbon" cluster complex [(RhCp*)2(GaCp*)3] (6) is obtained. The corresponding ethylene containing cluster complex [{RhCp(GaCp*)(C2H4)}2] (7) can be prepared by treatment of [RhCp*(CH3CN)(C2H4)] with GaCp*.  相似文献

Reaction of [Pt(CH3)2(COD)] (COD = 1,5-cyclooctadiene) with Ph2PCCCCPPh2 led to a mixture of [{Pt(CH3)2}2(mu-Ph2PC4PPh2)2] (1) and [{Pt(CH3)2}3(mu-Ph2PC4PPh2)3] (2). Reaction of [PtCl2(COD)] with Ph2PCCCCPPh2 led to a mixture of the thermally unstable compounds [{PtCl2}2(mu-Ph2PC4PPh2)2] (3) and [{PtCl2}3(mu-Ph2PC4PPh2)3] (4) which transform into [{PtMe2}2{mu-C8(PPh2)4}] (5) and [{PtMe2}3{mu3-C12(PPh2)6}] (6) containing 8-membered diene-diyne and 12-membered triene-triyne rings, respectively. Compound 2 can be converted to [{PtMe2}3{C12(PPh2)6}] (7) by heating with CuCl at 80 degrees C, while 1 can be heated without significant cycloaddition.  相似文献

1H NMR spectroscopy and fluorescent intercalator displacement (FID) assays have been used to investigate the DNA-binding abilities of two series of dinuclear polypyridyl ruthenium(II) complexes of the form [{Ru(L)2}2(mu-BL)]4+ {L = 2,2'-bipyridine (bpy), 4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine (Me2bpy), 1,10-phenanthroline (phen), or 4,7-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline (Me2phen); BL = 2,2'-bipyrimidine (bpm) or 1,4,5,8,9,12-hexaazatriphenylene (HAT)}. Preliminary FID surveys of these metal complexes against a variety of different oligonucleotides revealed that those complexes based upon the HAT bridging ligand induced greater fluorescence decreases in dye-bound DNA than did their bpm-bridged counterparts, suggesting a higher binding affinity by the HAT-bridged species. Furthermore, the greatest fluorescence decreases were typically observed in an oligonucleotide featuring a six-base hairpin loop. The apparent binding affinity of the metal complexes was also found to be a function of the stereochemistry and identity of the terminal ligands of the complex. The meso (DeltaLambda) stereoisomer generally induced greater fluorescence decreases than did either enantiomer (DeltaDelta or LambdaLambda), phen-based terminal ligands performed better than bpy-based terminal ligands, and those terminal ligands with methyl substituents demonstrated stronger apparent binding than did their non-methylated analogues. NMR experiments on meso-[{Ru(phen)2}2(mu-HAT)]4+ and meso-[{Ru(Me2phen)2}2(mu-HAT)]4+ demonstrated that both complexes bound with high affinity to the six-base hairpin oligonucleotide at the stem-loop interface and provided evidence to support stronger binding by the methylated species. meso-[{Ru(phen)2}2(mu-HAT)]4+ was found to bind poorly to duplex DNA and smaller four-base hairpin loops in FID and NMR experiments, whereas FID data suggest that the methylated analogue binds relatively strongly to most oligonucleotide sequences (the four- and six-base hairpins in particular). These results demonstrate that binding affinity can come at the expense of selectivity, with meso-[{Ru(phen)2}2(mu-HAT)]4+ proving to be an efficient compromise between the two as a high-affinity DNA hairpin probe.  相似文献

Seven new cyano-bridged heterometallic systems have been prepared by assembling [M'(rac-CTH)]n+ complexes (M' = CrIII, NiII, CuII), which have two cis available coordination positions, and [M(CN)6]3- (M = FeIII, CrIII) and [Fe(CN)2(bpy)2]+ cyanometalate building blocks. The assembled systems, which have been characterized by X-ray crystallography and magnetic investigations, are the molecular squares (meso-CTH-H2)[{Ni(rac-CTH)}2{Fe(CN)6)}2].5H2O (2) and [{Ni(rac-CTH)}2{Fe(CN)2(bpy)2}2](ClO4)4.H2O (5), the bimetallic chain [{Ni(rac-CTH)}2{Cr(CN)6)}2Ni(meso-CTH)].4H2O (3), the trimetallic chain [{Ni(rac-CTH)}2{Fe(CN)6)}2Cu(cyclam)]6H2O (4), the pentanuclear complexes [{Cu(rac-CTH}3{Fe(CN)6}2].2H2O (6) and [{Cu(rac-CTH)}3{Cr(CN)6)}2].2H2O (7), and the dinuclear complex [Cr(rac-CTH)(H2O)Fe(CN)6].2H2O (8). With the exception of 5, all compounds exhibit ferromagnetic interaction between the metal ions (JFeNi = 12.8(2) cm-1 for 2; J1FeCu= 13.8(2) cm-1 and J2FeCu= 3.9(4) cm-1 for 6; J1CrCu= 6.95(3) cm-1 and J2CrCu= 1.9(2)cm-1 for 7; JCrFe = 28.87(3) cm-1 for 8). Compound 5 exhibits the end of a transition from the high-spin to the low-spin state of the octahedral FeII ions. The bimetallic chain 3 behaves as a metamagnet with a critical field Hc = 300 G, which is associated with the occurrence of week antiferromagnetic interactions between the chains. Although the trimetallic chain 4 shows some degree of spin correlation along the chain, magnetic ordering does not occur. The sign and magnitude of the magnetic exchange interaction between CrIII and FeIII in compound 8 have been justified by DFT type calculations.  相似文献

Mononuclear [Ru(II)(tptz)(acac)(CH3CN)]ClO4 ([1]ClO4) and mixed-valent dinuclear [(acac)2Ru(III){(mu-tptz-Eta+)-}Ru(II)(acac)(CH3CN)]ClO4 ([5]ClO4; acac = acetylacetonate) complexes have been synthesized via the reactions of Ru(II)(acac)2(CH3CN)2 and 2,4,6-tris(2-pyridyl)-1,3,5-triazine (tptz), in 1:1 and 2:1 molar ratios, respectively. In [1]ClO4, tptz binds with the Ru(II) ion in a tridentate N,N,N mode (motif A), whereas in [5]ClO4, tptz bridges the metal ions unsymmetrically via the tridentate neutral N,N,N mode with the Ru(II) center and cyclometalated N,C- state with the Ru(III) site (motif F). The activation of the coordinated nitrile function in [1]ClO4 and [5]ClO4 in the presence of ethanol and alkylamine leads to the formation of iminoester ([2]ClO4 and [7]ClO4) and amidine ([4]ClO4) derivatives, respectively. Crystal structure analysis of [2]ClO4 reveals the formation of a beautiful eight-membered water cluster having a chair conformation. The cluster is H-bonded to the pendant pyridyl ring N of tptz and also with the O atom of the perchlorate ion, which, in turn, makes short (C-H- - - - -O) contacts with the neighboring molecule, leading to a H-bonding network. The redox potentials corresponding to the Ru(II) state in both the mononuclear {[(acac)(tptz)Ru(II)-NC-CH3]ClO4 ([1]ClO4) > [(acac)(tptz)Ru(II)-NH=C(CH3)-OC2H5]ClO4 ([2]ClO4) > [(acac)(tptz)Ru(II)-NH2-C6H4(CH3)]ClO4 ([3]ClO4) > [(acac)(tptz)Ru(II)-NH=C(CH3)-NHC2H5]ClO4 ([4]ClO4)} and dinuclear {[(acac)2Ru(III){(mu-tptz-H+)-}Ru(II)(acac)(NC-CH3)]ClO4 ([5]ClO4), [(acac)2Ru(III){(mu-tptz-H+(N+-O-)2)-}Ru(II)(acac)(NC-CH3)]ClO4 ([6]ClO4), [(acac)2Ru(III){(mu-tptz-H+)-}Ru(II)(acac)(NH=C(CH3)-OC2H5)]ClO4 ([7]ClO4), and [(acac)2Ru(III){(mu-tptz-Eta+)-}Ru(II)(acac)(NC4H4N)]ClO4 ([8]ClO(4))} complexes vary systematically depending on the electronic nature of the coordinated sixth ligands. However, potentials involving the Ru(III) center in the dinuclear complexes remain more or less invariant. The mixed-valent Ru(II)Ru(III) species ([5]ClO4-[8]ClO4) exhibits high comproportionation constant (Kc) values of 1.1 x 10(12)-2 x 10(9), with substantial contribution from the donor center asymmetry at the two metal sites. Complexes display Ru(II)- and Ru(III)-based metal-to-ligand and ligand-to-metal charge-transfer transitions, respectively, in the visible region and ligand-based transitions in the UV region. In spite of reasonably high K(c) values for [5]ClO4-[8]ClO4, the expected intervalence charge-transfer transitions did not resolve in the typical near-IR region up to 2000 nm. The paramagnetic Ru(II)Ru(III) species ([5]ClO4-[8]ClO4) displays rhombic electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectra at 77 K (g approximately 2.15 and Deltag approximately 0.5), typical of a low-spin Ru(III) ion in a distorted octahedral environment. The one-electron-reduced tptz complexes [Ru(II)(tptz.-)(acac)(CEta3CN)] (1) and [(acac)2Ru(III){(mu-tptz-Eta+).2-}Ru(II)(acac)(CH3CN)] (5), however, show a free-radical-type EPR signal near g = 2.0 with partial metal contribution.  相似文献

The ambient temperature reaction of the N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) 1,3-dimesitylimidazol-2-ylidene (IMes) and 1,3-bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)imidazol-2-ylidene (IDipp) with the triruthenium cluster [Ru(3)(CO)(12)], in a 3 : 1 stoichiometric ratio, results in homolytic cleavage of the cluster to quantitatively afford the complexes [Ru(CO)(4)(NHC)] (; NHC = IMes, ; NHC = IDipp). Reaction of the 2-thione or hydrochloride precursors to IMes, i.e. S[double bond, length as m-dash]IMes and IMes.HCl, with the same triruthenium cluster affords the complexes [Ru(4)(mu(4)-S)(2)(CO)(9)(IMes)(2)] () and [Ru(4)(mu(4)-S)(CO)(10)(IMes)(2)] () (3 : 1 and 2 : 1 reaction), and [{Ru(mu-Cl)(CO)(2)(IMes)}(2)] () (3 : 1 reaction) respectively. By contrast, the complex [Ru(3)(mu(3)-S)(2)(CO)(7)(IMeMe)(2)] (), where IMeMe is 1,3,4,5-tetramethylimidazol-2-ylidene, is the sole product of the 2 : 1 stoichiometric reaction of S[double bond, length as m-dash]IMeMe with [Ru(3)(CO)(12)]. Spectroelectrochemical studies of the intervalence charge transfer (IVCT) characteristics of both diastereoisomeric forms of the dinuclear complex [{Ru(bpy)2}2(mu-dpi-)]n+ [bpy=2,2'-bipyridine; dpi-=4,5-di(2-pyridyl)imidazolate] showed that the degree of inter-metal electronic coupling (or valence delocalization) is dependent on stereochemical identity. Increasing the relative concentration of the strongly associating anion toluene-4-sulfonate in acetonitrile/[(n-C4H9)4N]{B(C6F5)4} solution differentially decreased the level of delocalization for the two diastereoisomers. In a comparative investigation of electrochemical and spectroelectrochemical techniques of the anion-induced electron localization in [{Ru(bpy)2}2(mu-dpo)]5+ [dpo=3,4-di(2-pyridyl)-1,2,5-oxadiazole], differences were observed between the two methods in the order and extent of effects induced by a number of inorganic anions (PF6-, BF4-, ClO4-). It was determined that the measure of coupling derived from electrochemical methods was less reliable than that obtained from spectral methods. Comparative electrochemical studies were undertaken on [{M(bpy)2}2(mu-BL)]n+ {M=Ru, Os; BL=dpo, dpi-), which revealed substantial differences in DeltaEox (the separation between the redox potentials for the MII-MII/MIII-MII and MII-MIII/MIII-MIII couples) for the two metal centers and therefore the comproportionation constant Kc, dependent on the neutral or anionic nature of the bridging ligand.  相似文献

Nitrosyl complexes with {Ru-NO} (6) and {Ru-NO} (7) configurations have been isolated in the framework of [Ru(trpy)(L)(NO)] ( n+ ) [trpy = 2,2':6',2'-terpyridine, L = 2-phenylimidazo[4,5- f]1,10-phenanthroline] as the perchlorate salts [ 4](ClO 4) 3 and [ 4](ClO 4) 2, respectively. Single crystals of protonated material [ 4-H (+)](ClO 4) 4.2H 2O reveal a Ru-N-O bond angle of 176.1(7) degrees and triply bonded N-O with a 1.127(9) A bond length. Structures were also determined for precursor compounds of [ 4] (3+) in the form of [Ru(trpy)(L)(Cl)](ClO 4).4.5H 2O and [Ru(trpy)(L-H)(CH 3CN)](ClO 4) 3.H 2O. In agreement with largely NO centered reduction, a sizable shift in nu(NO) frequency was observed on moving from [ 4] (3+) (1953 cm (-1)) to [ 4] (2+) (1654 cm (-1)). The Ru (II)-NO* in isolated or electrogenerated [ 4] (2+) exhibits an EPR spectrum with g 1 = 2.020, g 2 = 1.995, and g 3 = 1.884 in CH 3CN at 110 K, reflecting partial metal contribution to the singly occupied molecular orbital (SOMO); (14)N (NO) hyperfine splitting ( A 2 = 30 G) was also observed. The plot of nu(NO) versus E degrees ({RuNO} (6) --> {RuNO} (7)) for 12 analogous complexes [Ru(trpy)(L')(NO)] ( n+ ) exhibits a linear trend. The electrophilic Ru-NO (+) species [ 4] (3+) is transformed to the corresponding Ru-NO 2 (-) system in the presence of OH (-) with k = 2.02 x 10 (-4) s (-1) at 303 K. In the presence of a steady flow of dioxygen gas, the Ru (II)-NO* state in [ 4] (2+) oxidizes to [ 4] (3+) through an associatively activated pathway (Delta S++ = -190.4 J K (-1) M (-1)) with a rate constant ( k [s (-1)]) of 5.33 x 10 (-3). On irradiation with light (Xe lamp), the acetonitrile solution of paramagnetic [Ru(trpy)(L)(NO)] (2+) ([ 4] (2+)) undergoes facile photorelease of NO ( k NO = 2.0 x 10 (-1) min (-1) and t 1/2 approximately 3.5 min) with the concomitant formation of the solvate [Ru (II)(trpy)(L)(CH 3CN)] (2+) [ 2'] (2+). The photoreleased NO can be trapped as an Mb-NO adduct.  相似文献

A series of new Ru(II)-DMSO complexes containing dicarboxylate ligands (dicarb), namely, oxalate (ox), malonate (mal), methylmalonate (mmal), dimethylmalonate (dmmal), and succinate (suc), have been synthesized and structurally characterized. These compounds were prepared from the known Ru(II)-Cl-DMSO anticancer complexes cis,fac-[RuCl2(DMSO-S)3(DMSO-O)] (1) and trans-[RuCl2(DMSO-S)4] (2) and from the chloride-free precursor fac-[Ru(DMSO-S)3(DMSO-O)3][CF3SO3]2 (3), with the aim of assessing how the nature of the anionic ligands influences the biological activity of these species. Basically, the investigated ligands can be divided into two groups. The reaction of either 1 or 2 with K2(dicarb) (dicarb = ox, mal, mmal) yielded preferentially the mononuclear species [K]fac-[RuCl(DMSO-S)3(eta2-dicarb)] (dicarb = mal, 6; mmal, 9; ox, 14) that contains a chelating dicarboxylate unit and a residual chloride. Likewise, when 3 was used as a precursor, the neutral mononuclear species fac-[Ru(DMSO-O)(DMSO-S)3(eta2-dicarb)] (dicarb = mal, 7; mmal, 10; ox, 16), which contains a DMSO-O ligand in the place of Cl-, was obtained. On the contrary, K2(suc) and K2(dmmal) yielded preferentially the dinuclear species [fac-Ru(DMSO-S)3(H2O)(mu-dicarb)]2 (dicarb = dmmal, 11; suc, 13), with two bridging dicarboxylate moieties. The two water molecules in anti geometry have strong intramolecular H-bonding with the non-coordinated oxygen atoms of the carboxylate groups. The solid-state X-ray structural data showed that the preferential binding mode of the investigated dicarboxylates, either bridging (mu) or chelating (eta2), is dictated mainly by steric reasons. Oxalate, unlike the other dicarboxylates, has also the bridging bis-chelate (eta4,mu) coordination mode available: this was found in the dinuclear species [{fac-RuCl(DMSO-S)3}2(eta4,mu-ox)] (15) and [{fac-Ru(DMSO-O)(DMSO-S)3}2(eta4,mu-ox)][CF3SO3]2 (17). We also isolated the unprecedented neutral metallacycle, [fac-Ru(DMSO-S)3(eta3,mu-ox)]4 (18), in which each oxalate unit has one unbound oxygen atom. The new complexes were thoroughly characterized by 1-D (1H and 13C) and 2-D (H-H- COSY and HMQC) NMR spectroscopy in solution and by IR spectroscopy in the solid state. The molecular structures of 10 compounds, 6-11, 13, 15, 17, and 18, were determined by X-ray crystallography. The behavior of selected complexes in aqueous solution was investigated by 1H NMR spectroscopy.  相似文献

The crystalline compounds [Mg(Br)(L)(thf)].0.5Et2O [L = {N(R)C(C6H3Me2-2,6)}2SiR, R = SiMe3] (1), [Mg(L){N=C=C(C(Me)=CH)2CH2}(D)2] [D = NCC6H3Me2-2,6 (2), thf (3)] and [{Mg(L)}2{mu-OSO(CF3)O-[mu}2] (4) were prepared from (a) Si(Br)(R){C(C6H3Me2-2,6)=NR}2 and Mg for (1), (b) [Mg(SiR3)2(thf)2] and 2,6-Me2C6H3CN (5 mol for (2), 3 mol for (3)), and (c) (2) + Me3SiOS(O)2CF3 for (4); a coproduct from (c) is believed to have been the trimethylsilyl ketenimide Me3SiN=C=C{C(Me)=CH}2CH2 (5).  相似文献

A series of molybdenum and tungsten organometallic oxides containing [Ru(arene)]2+ units (arene =p-cymene, C6Me6) was obtained by condensation of [[Ru(arene)Cl2]2] with oxomolybdates and oxotungstates in aqueous or nonaqueous solvents. The crystal structures of [[Ru(eta6-C6Me6]]4W4O16], [[Ru(eta6-p-MeC6H4iPr]]4W2O10], [[[Ru-(eta6-p-MeC6H4iPr)]2(mu-OH)3]2][[Ru(eta6-p-MeC6H4iPr)]2W8O28(OH)2[Ru(eta6-p-MeC6H4iPr)(H2O)]2], and [[Ru(eta6-C6Me6)]2M5O18[Ru(eta6-C6Me6)(H2O)]] (M = Mo, W) have been determined. While the windmill-type clusters [[Ru(eta6-arene)]4(MO3)4(mu3-O)4] (M = Mo, W; arene =p-MeC6H4iPr, C6Me6), the face-sharing double cubane-type cluster [[Ru(eta6-p-MeC6H4iPr)]4(WO2)2(mu3-O)4(mu4-O)2], and the dimeric cluster [[Ru(eta6-p-MeC6H4iPr)(WO3)3(mu3-O)3(mu3-OH)Ru(eta6-pMeC6H4iPr)(H2O)]2(mu-WO2)2]2- are based on cubane-like units, [(Ru(eta6-C6Me6)]2M5O18[Ru(eta6-C6Me6)(H2O)]] (M = Mo, W) are more properly described as lacunary Lindqvist-type polyoxoanions supporting three ruthenium centers. Precubane clusters [[Ru(eta6-arene)](MO3)2(mu-O)3(mu3-O)]6- are possible intermediates in the formation of these clusters. The cluster structures are retained in solution, except for [[Ru(eta6-p-MeC6H4iPr)]4Mo4O16], which isomerizes to the triple-cubane form.  相似文献

The synthesis, structures, and magnetic properties of four cyano-bridged M(II)Ru(III)2 compounds prepared from the paramagnetic Ru(III) building blocks, trans-[Ru(salen)(CN)2]- 1 [H2salen = N,N'-ethylenebis(salicylideneimine)] and trans-[Ru(acac)2(CN)2]- (Hacac = acetylacetone), are described. Compound 2, {Mn(CH3OH)4[Ru(salen)(CN)2]2}.6CH3OH.2H2O, is a trinuclear complex that exhibits antiferromagnetic coupling between Mn(II) and Ru(III) centers. Compound 3, {Mn(H2O)2[Ru(salen)(CN)2]2.H2O}n, has a 2-D sheetlike structure that exhibits antiferromagnetic coupling between Mn and Ru, leading to ferrimagnetic-like behavior. Compound 4, {Ni(cyclam)[Ru(acac)2(CN)2]2}.2CH3OH.2H2O (cyclam = 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane), is a trinuclear complex that exhibits ferromagnetic coupling. Compound 5, {Co[Ru(acac)2(CN)2]2}n, has a 3-D diamond-like interpenetrating network that exhibits ferromagnetic ordering below 4.6 K. The density functional theory (DFT) method was used to calculate the molecular magnetic orbitals and the magnetic exchange interaction between Ru(III) and M(II) (Mn(II), Ni(II)) ions.  相似文献

A bis(disulfide)-bridged RuMo3S4 double-cubane cluster [{(Cp*Mo)3(mu3-S)4Ru}(mu2-eta2:eta1-S2)]2[PF6]2 (2, Cp* = eta5-C5Me5) is readily available from cluster [(Cp*Mo)3(mu3-S)4RuH2(PPh3)][PF6] (1) and S8. The reactions of cluster 2 with [M(PPh3)4] (M = Pd, Pt) give rise to the formation of a new family of nona- or decanuclear mixed-metal sulfide clusters, [{(Cp*Mo)3(mu3-S)4Ru}2(mu3-S)2{Pd(S)(PPh3)}][PF6]2 (3), [{(Cp*Mo)3(mu3-S)4Ru}2(mu3-S)2{(Pd(PPh3))2(mu2-S)}][PF6]2 (4), and [{(Cp*Mo)3(mu3-S)4Ru}2(mu3-S)2{Pt(PPh3)2}][PF6]2 (5), with two RuMo3S4 cubane units, the structures of which have been determined by X-ray diffraction studies.  相似文献
