The effects of H2 and H2 + O2 gas mixtures of varying composition on the state of the surface of the Pt/MoO3 model catalyst prepared by vacuum deposition of platinum on oxidized molybdenum foil were investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) at room temperature and a pressure of 5–150 Torr. For samples with a large Pt/Mo ratio, the XP spectrum of large platinum particles showed that the effect of hydrogen-containing mixtures on the catalyst was accompanied by the reduction of molybdenum oxide. This effect results from the activation of molecular hydrogen due to the dissociation on platinum particles and subsequent spill-over of hydrogen atoms on the support. The effect was not observed at low platinum contents in the model catalyst (i.e., for small Pt particles). It is assumed for the catalyst that the loss of its hydrogen-activating ability is a consequence of the formation of platinum hydride. Possible participation of platinum hydride as intermediate in hydrogen oxidation to H2O2 is discussed.  相似文献

The activities of monometallic Pt-, Ru-, and Rh-containing catalysts supported on Al2O3, Al2O3—F, SiO2, WO3/ZrO2, and La2Î3/ZrO2, in cyclohexane ring opening to form n-hexane were studied. The most active catalyst is Rh/Al2O3. Cyclohexane hydrogenolysis to n-hexane also occurs over the Pt/Al;>2O3 and Pt/La2Î3/ZrO2 catalysts. Ring opening over the Ru catalysts proceeds at significantly lower temperatures (210—230 °C) than over the Pt and Rh catalysts (350—400 °C), but the ruthenium systems are less selective for n-hexane formation than Rh/Al2O3 catalysts. The effects of acid-basic properties of the support and the reaction conditions on the activities of the catalytic systems in cyclohexane ring opening was studied.  相似文献

We studied on the function of the metal in the sulfated zirconia(SO42–/ZrO2) catalyst for the isomerization reaction of light paraffins. The addition of Pt to the SO42–/ZrO2 carrier could keep the high catalytic activity. The improvement in this isomerization activity is because Pt promotes removal of the coke precursor deposited on the catalyst surface. Though this catalytic function was observed in other transition metals, such as Pd, Ru, Ni, Rh and W, Pt exhibited the highest effect among them. It was further found that the Pd/SO42–/ZrO2–Al2O3 catalyst possessed a catalytic function for desulfurization of sulfur-containing light naphtha in addition to the skeletal isomerization. The sulfur tolerance of catalyst depended on the method of adding Pd, and the catalyst prepared by impregnation of the SO42–/ZrO2–Al2O3 with an aqueous solution of Pd exhibited the highest sulfur tolerance.Further, we investigated the improvement in sulfur tolerance of the Pt/SO42–/ZrO2–Al2O3 catalyst by impregnation of Pd. The results of EPMA analysis indicated that this catalyst was a hybrid-type one (Pt/SO42–/ZrO2–Pd/Al2O3) in which Pt/SO42–/ZrO2 particles and Pd/Al2O3 particles adjoined closely. This hybrid catalyst possessed a very high sulfur tolerance to the raw light naphtha that was obtained from the atmospheric distillation apparatus, although this light naphtha contained much sulfur. We assume that such a high sulfur tolerance in the hybrid catalyst is brought about by the isomerization function of Pt/SO42–/ZrO2 particles and the hydrodesulfurization function of Pd/Al2O3 particles. Besides, since the hybrid catalyst also provides high catalytic activity in the isomerization of HDS light naphtha, we suggest that the Pd/Al2O3 particles supply atomic hydrogen to the Pt/SO42–/ZrO2 particles by homolytic dissociation of gaseous hydrogen and also enhance the sulfur tolerance of Pt/SO42–/ZrO2 particles. Finally, we also propose the most suitable location of Pd and Pt in the metal-supported SO42–/ZrO2–Al2O3 catalyst.  相似文献

Deposited palladium catalysts of the hydrodechlorination of 1,3,5-trichlorobenzene were studied. Pure zirconium and aluminum oxides and ZrO2-Al2O3 mixtures with 1, 5, and 10 mol % Al2O3 prepared by coprecipitation were used as supports. Palladium was deposited by the precipitation of its hydroxide on supports. Catalysts on binary supports (ZrO2 + 1% Al2O3 and ZrO2 + 5% Al2O3) exhibited higher activity and stability in hydrodechlorination compared with catalysts on pure supports. The suggestion was made that the high activity and stability of these systems in hydrodechlorination was related to the formation of binary oxide in the interaction of ZrO2 with palladium oxide at the stage of annealing of the catalyst precursor. Binary oxide, which was a center of the activation of the C-Cl bond, was simultaneously a source of active hydrogen. The presence of various palladium states in catalysts was substantiated by the temperature programmed reduction method.  相似文献

Pt/SO4 2−−ZrO2 calcined at 873 K shows the same catalytic activity forn-hexane isomerization as the calcined and reduced sample. A platinum reduction peak did not appear in the TPR profile and the presence of Pt0 was detected by XPS on the only calcined Pt/SO4 2−−ZrO2. Nevertheless, this calcined material does not show hydrogen chemisorption and cyclohexane dehydrogenation activity.  相似文献

Platinum catalysts supported on indium-doped alumina were prepared by the sol–gel method. The method allows the incorporation of In3+ in the alumina network. The indium-doped alumina supports showed narrow pore size distribution (5.4–4.0 nm) and high specific surface areas (258–280 m2/g). The 27Al NMR-MAS spectroscopy identified aluminum in tetrahedral, pentahedral, and octahedral coordination; however, the intensity of the signal assigned to aluminum in pentahedral coordination diminishes with the increase of the content of indium. Total acidity determined by ammonia thermodesorption diminishes strongly in Pt/In–Al2O3 catalysts, suggesting a selective deposit of platinum over the acid sites of the support. The effect of the support in the platinum catalytic activity was evaluated in the n-heptane dehydrocyclization reaction. The selectivity patterns for such reaction were modified substantially in the doped Pt/In–Al2O3 catalysts, in comparison with the Pt-In/Al2O3–I coimpregnated reference catalyst. As an important result, the formation of benzene was suppressed totally over the indium-doped alumina sol–gel supports with a high content (3 wt%) of indium.  相似文献

The influence of the alumina support on the catalytic activity of Pt/Al2O3 catalysts in aqueous phase reforming of ethylene glycol to hydrogen was studied. The catalysts were prepared by impregnation of γ-, δ-, and α-alumina with H2PtCl6. The highest rate of hydrogen production (452 μmol min−1 g−1) obtained with the Pt/α-Al2O3 catalyst can be related to the highest extent of dispersion of Pt on α-Al2O3. XPS, TEM-EDX and TPR-H2 measurements showed the absence of chloride-containing surface complexes in the Pt/α-Al2O3 catalyst. However, chloride-containing entities were found on the surface of Pt/γ-Al2O3 and Pr/δ-Al2O3 catalysts. When chloride ions are removed chlorinated Pt species facilitate the sintering of Pt crystallites and in this way affect the extent of Pt dispersion. Moreover, depending upon the particular crystalline form, alumina atoms have different coordination and alumina surfaces contain varying amounts of OH groups of different nature which affect the interaction between Pt and the support.  相似文献

Gold catalysts with loadings ranging from 0.5 to 7.0 wt% on a ZnO/Al2O3 support were prepared by the deposition–precipitation method (Au/ZnO/Al2O3) with ammonium bicarbonate as the precipitation agent and were evaluated for performance in CO oxidation. These catalysts were characterized by inductively coupled plasma-atom emission spectrometry, temperature programmed reduction, and scanning transmission electron microscopy. The catalytic activity for CO oxidation was measured using a flow reactor under atmospheric pressure. Catalytic activity was found to be strongly dependent on the reduction property of oxygen adsorbed on the gold surface, which related to gold particle size. Higher catalytic activity was found when the gold particles had an average diameter of 3–5 nm; in this range, gold catalysts were more active than the Pt/ZnO/Al2O3 catalyst in CO oxidation. Au/ZnO/Al2O3 catalyst with small amount of ZnO is more active than Au/Al2O3 catalyst due to higher dispersion of gold particles.  相似文献

Catalytic performance of gallia-supported iridium catalysts in the reaction of selective hydrogenation of crotonaldehyde in the gas phase was studied and compared to that of platinum and ruthenium catalysts. The best catalytic properties in terms of the selectivity to crotyl alcohol are shown by 5 wt % Pt/α-Ga2O3 and 5 wt % Ir/α-Ga2O3 catalysts prepared from nonchlorine precursors: Pt(acac)2 and Ir(acac)3, but for the 5 wt % Pt/α-Ga2O3 a very high selectivity of 75% at the high conversion (ca. 60%) is observed. A high selectivity of galia-supported iridium and platinum catalysts was explained by the surface reducibility of gallium oxide leading to covering (decoration) of platinum and iridium by gallium suboxides and the promoting effect of gallium.  相似文献

As a result of investigating low temperature isomerization of n-hexane at 130, 140, 150, 160°C in a flow reactor with a fixed bed of catalyst of the Al2O3/ZrO2/SO4/Pt type a ratio of components in the catalyst system was selected and process conditions were defined, which allow to obtain highly branched high-octane isomers with a yield of up to 40% relative to a transformed raw material. A kinetic model of the process was proposed and kinetic parameters were calculated.  相似文献

Adsorption microcalorimetry has been employed to study the interaction of ethylene with the reduced and oxidized Pt-Ag/SiO2catalysts with different Ag contents to elucidate the modified effect of Ag towards the hydrocarbon processing on platinum catalysts. In addition, microcalorimetric adsorption of H2, O2, CO and FTIR of CO adsorption were conducted to investigate the influence of Ag on the surface structure of Pt catalyst. It is found from the microcalorimetric results of H2and O2adsorption that the addition of Ag to Pt/SiO2leads to the enrichment of Ag on the catalyst surface which decreases the size of Pt surface ensembles of Pt-Ag/SiO2catalysts. The microcalorimetry and FTIR of CO adsorption indicates that there still exist sites for linear and bridged CO adsorption on the surface of platinum catalysts simultaneously although Ag was incorporated into Pt/SiO2. The ethylene microcalorimetric results show that the decrease of ensemble size of Pt surface sites suppresses the formation of dissociative species (ethylidyne) upon the chemisorption of C2H4on Pt-Ag/SiO2. The differential heat vs. uptake plots for C2H4adsorption on the oxygen-preadsorbed Pt/SiO2and Pt-Ag/SiO2catalysts suggest that the incorporation of Ag to Pt/SiO2could decrease the ability for the oxidation of C2H4.  相似文献

A series of Pd/Al2O3–ZrO2 catalysts were prepared to be used in methane oxidation. The effect of the addition order of metal alkoxides on the texture, structure and catalytic properties of the solids is studied. The control of the preparation parameters is achieved via sol gel way as an attractive route of the preparation of these catalysts. N2 physisorption, XRD, Scanning Electronic Microscopy (SEM) and H2 chemisorption are the main techniques used to characterize the prepared Pd/Al2O3–ZrO2 catalysts. Textural analysis reveals the mesoporosity of all the catalysts independently of the addition order of alkoxides while surface area is more pronounced when the aluminium alkoxide is added before or with the zirconium precursor. XRD patterns show the development of the zirconia tetragonal phase for all the catalysts. Better metallic dispersion is obtained when aluminium alkoxide is added first which can be justified by the high homogeneity observed on the corresponding catalyst as revealed by SEM technique.  相似文献

The catalytic activity in the oxidation of hydrogen (in the gaseous state in the presence of excess oxygen) has been studied for samples of Pt(Pd)/Ta2O5−x, formed by reduction with hydrogen. The samples obtained had greater activity than the traditional catalysts Pt(Pd)/Al2O3. According to X-ray diffraction analysis and electron microscopic studies, Ta2O5−x becomes amorphous with the formation of more reduced non-stoichiometric oxygen-deficient tantalum oxides with a surface layer of catalyst. __________ Translated from Teoreticheskaya i éksperimental’naya Khimiya, Vol. 44, No. 3, pp. 180–185, May–June, 2008.  相似文献

Methane adsorption on the Pt–H/Al2O3 and Pt/Al2O3 catalysts begins at Т = 475°C and is accompanied by the appearance of hydrogen in the reaction medium. At a higher temperature is raised to 550°C, the amount of adsorbed hydrogen increases to 1.1 and 0.8 mol/(mol Pt), respectively. According to the calculated degree of methane dehydrogenation on platinum sites at Т = 550°C, the Н/C ratio is 1.3 (at/at) for the Pt–H/Al2O3 catalyst and 1.5 (at/at) for the Pt/Al2O3 catalyst. The introduction of n-pentane into the reaction medium increases the yield of aromatic hydrocarbons (benzene and toluene) by a factor of 8.8 over the arene yield observed in individual n-pentane conversion. A mass spectrometric analysis of the arenes obtained with the Pt/Al2O3 catalyst has demonstrated that 37.5% of the adsorbed methane is involved in the methane–n-pentane coaromatization yielding benzene and toluene.  相似文献

Summary Transformation of n-hexane over Al2O3and SiO2supported Pt, Pt+Ga and Ir+Pt+Ga catalysts was studied in a continuous-flow reactor operated under slug-pulse mode at 520°C. Bimetallic catalysts were prepared by introducing first Ga(OEt)3and then diallylplatinum as precursor compounds. Iridium was then introduced viadecomposition of Ir4(CO)12adsorbed onto Pt+Ga catalysts. The addition of Ga to Pt/SiO2catalyst decreased hydrogenation, aromatization and hydrogenolysis selectivity. Over Pt/Al2O3catalyst Ga increased hydrogenolysis selectivity and decreased isomerization and C5-cyclization. The main effect of Ir was to increase hydrogenolysis selectivity and the stability of catalysts.</o:p>  相似文献

A simple, efficient, and eco-friendly catalytic system for the oxidation of cyclohexene to adipic acid with H2O2 catalyzed by H2WO4 in Brønsted acidic ionic liquids under solvent-free conditions has been developed. Reaction conditions such as the catalysts, the types of anions and cations for Brønsted acidic ionic liquids, reaction temperature, and the amount of hydrogen peroxide, were investigated. Moreover, the Hammett acidity functions (H 0) of Brønsted acidic ionic liquids were determined using UV–visible spectrophotometry. The optimum reaction condition identified was n(H2WO4):n(Brønsted acidic ionic liquids):n(cyclohexene):n(H2O2) = 0.02:0.02:1:4.4, and the yield of adipic acid was 96% under the reaction scale of 10 mmol. The catalytic system can be easily recovered and reused for four reaction runs without significant loss of catalytic activity. Simple operation of the catalyst system and avoidance of the emission of nitrous oxide are the benefits of this work.  相似文献

Со-Мо/Al2O3 and Ni-W/Al2O3 catalysts were tested in hydrotreating of light cycle oil from catalytic cracking, of the straight-run gasoil, and of their mixture under typical hydrotreating conditions used in industry. The catalysts prepared using PMo12 and PW12 heteropoly acids exhibit high catalytic activity. The Со-Мо/Al2O3 catalyst is more active in hydrodesulfurization and hydrogenation of olefin and diene hydrocarbons, whereas the Ni-W/Al2O3 catalysts are more active in hydrogenation of mono- and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Comparison of the quality characteristics of the hydrogenizates obtained with the requirements of the technical regulations shows that the required levels of the sulfur content and cetane number of the hydrogenizates at practically accessible process parameters can be reached for mixtures of the straight-run gasoil and light cycle oil from catalytic cracking with high content of the latter component only when the process with the Со-Мо/Al2O3 system and Ni-W/Al2O3 catalysts is performed in two steps.  相似文献

A series of Re/Ga2O3/WO3/ZrO2 catalysts were prepared by the impregnation method. The crystalline structure, redox, and acid site distribution of the catalysts were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, temperature-programmed reduction of H2, and temperature-programmed desorption of NH3. Their catalytic performance for n-hexane isomerization was studied. The results showed that the addition of Re greatly affected the redox properties and the acid site distribution of the catalysts. Owing to the presence of Re, n-hexane isomerization was catalyzed by metal and acid sites, and thus the conversion of n-hexane and the selectivity for 2,2-dimethylbutane were significantly increased. Under the conditions of 195 °C, 1.0 MPa, LHSV = 1.0 h−1, and n(H2)/n(C6) = 2.0, the conversion of n-hexane over 1.0%Re/1.0%Ga2O3/WO3/ZrO2 is 84.8%, and the selectivities for 2,2-dimethylbutane, i-hexane, and cracking products (C5-) are 20%, 97.7%, and 2.1%, respectively. The catalyst is stable during 150 h operation.  相似文献

Ag/Al2O3 is a promising catalyst for the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) by hydrocarbons (HC) of NO x in both laboratory and diesel engine bench tests. New developments of the HC-SCR of NO x over a Ag/Al2O3 catalyst are reviewed, including the efficiencies and sulfur tolerances of different Ag/Al2O3-reductant systems for the SCR of NO x ; the low-temperature activity improvement of H2-assisted HC-SCR of NO x over Ag/Al2O3; and the application of a Ag/Al2O3-ethanol SCR system with a heavy-duty diesel engine. The discussions are focused on the reaction mechanisms of different Ag/Al2O3-reductant systems and H2-assisted HC-SCR of NO x over Ag/Al2O3. A SO2-resistant surface structure in situ synthesized on Ag/Al2O3 by using ethanol as a reductant is proposed based on the study of the sulfate formation. These results provide new insight into the design of a high-efficiency NO x reduction system. The diesel engine bench test results showed that a Ag/Al2O3-ethanol system is promising for catalytic cleaning of NO x in diesel exhaust.  相似文献
