The present research is focused on the GC-FID determination of fatty acid methyl esters (FAMEs) in diesel blends, by means of an ionic liquid stationary phase, characterized by a dicationic 1,9-di(3-vinyl-imidazolium)nonane bis(trifluoromethyl)sulfonylimidate structure (SLB-IL100). The high polarity of the ionic liquid stationary phase allowed the separation of the FAMEs, from the less-retained hydrocarbons, thus avoiding the requirement of a hydrocarbon LC pre-separation. The results derived from the analyses of a soybean FAMEs B20 sample, carried out on an SLB-IL100 conventional column (30 m × 0.25 mm i.d. × 0.20 mm df), were compared with those attained on a polyethylene glycol column, of equivalent dimensions. Conventional and fast GC methods, for the analysis of FAMEs in diesel blends, were developed on an SLB-IL100 30 m × 0.25 mm i.d. × 0.20 μm df and on an SLB-IL100 12 m × 0.10 mm i.d. × 0.08 μm df column, respectively. The optimized IL methods were subjected to validation: retention time and peak area intra-day precision (n = 5) were good, with CV % values lower than 0.08% and 4.9%, respectively. With regards to the quantitation of FAMEs in biodiesel blends, a five points calibration curve was constructed, using C17:0 as internal standard.  相似文献

This study compares conventional Soxhlet extraction and analytical scale supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) for their yields in extracting of hydrocarbons from arid-land plant Euphorbia macroclada. The plant material was firstly sequentially extracted with supercritical carbon dioxide, modified with 10% methanol (v/v) in the optimum conditions that is a pressure of 400 atm and a temperature of 50 °C and then it was sonicated in methylene chloride for an additional 4 h. E. macroclada was secondly extracted by using a Soxhlet apparatus at 30 °C for 8 h in methylene chloride. The validated SFE was then compared to the extraction yield of E. macroclada with a Soxhlet extraction by using the Student’s t-test at the 95% confidence level. All of extracts were fractionated with silica-gel in a glass column to get better hydrocarbon yields. Thus, the highest hydrocarbons yield from E. macroclada was achieved with SFE (5.8%) when it compared with Soxhlet extractions (1.1%). Gas chromatography (GC) analysis was performed to determine the quantitative hydrocarbons from plant material. The greatest quantitative hydrocarbon recovery from GC was obtained by supercritical carbon dioxide extract (0.6 mg g−1).  相似文献

The aim of this study was to compare the influence of the extraction method, chemical composition, antimicrobial effects, antioxidant activity, and cytotoxicity on human cells of the non-polar extracts of grape (Vitis labrusca) and blackberry (Rubus fruticosus) seeds. The Soxhlet (Sox), Bligh–Dyer (BD), and ultrasound (US) methods were used for extractions. For blackberry non-polar seed extract, extraction via the BD method showed the highest mean values of total phenolic content (TPC), expressed in milligrams of gallic acid equivalent per 100 mL of non-polar seed extracts (102.37 mg GAE/100 mL), and higher antioxidant activity in relation to the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical, expressed in milligrams of gallic acid equivalent per 100 mL of non-polar seed extracts (11.50 mg AAE/100 mL), if compared with the Sox and US extractions. Similar results were obtained for the non-polar grape seed extracts, where BD extraction obtained the highest values for TPC (28.61 mg GAE/100 mL) and DPPH (35.36 mg AAE/100 mL). The type of extraction method had an impact on the composition of fatty acids. Only the non-polar blackberry and grape seed extracts obtained via the Sox method showed some in vitro inhibitory effect against Escherichia coli (IAL 2064) and Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 13565). Regardless of the extraction method used, the non-polar blackberry and grape seed extracts did not decrease the cell viability (IC50 >1000 µg/mL) of cancer and normal cell lines, thus indicating the relative safety of the extracts. All the seed extracts decreased the generation of reactive oxygen species in the cell lines. Blackberry and grape seed lipid fractions can be utilized as antioxidants, and the extraction methods used cause significant changes in relation to their bioactivity and chemical composition.  相似文献

In this study, the usability of the plant thistle, Onopordum acanthium L., belonging to the family Asteraceae (Compositae), in liquid fuel production has been investigated. The experiments were performed in a fixed-bed Heinze pyrolysis reactor to investigate the effects of heating rate, pyrolysis temperature and sepiolite percentage on the pyrolysis product yields and chemical compositions. Experiments were carried out in a static atmosphere with a heating rate of 7 °C/min and 40 °C/min, pyrolysis temperature of 350, 400, 500, 550 and 700 °C and particle size of 0.6 < Dp < 0.85 mm. Catalyst experiments were conducted in a static atmosphere with a heating rate of 40 °C/min, pyrolysis temperature of 550 °C and particle size of 0.6 < Dp < 0.85 mm. Bio-oil yield increased from 18.5% to 27.3% with the presence of 10% of sepiolite catalyst at pyrolysis temperature of 550 °C, with a heating rate of 40 °C/min, and particle size of 0.6 < Dp < 0.85 mm. It means that the yield of bio-oil was increased at around 48.0% after the catalyst added. Chromatographic and spectroscopic studies on the bio-oil showed that the oil obtained from O. acanthium L. could be used as a renewable fuels and chemical feedstock.  相似文献

The extraction and transesterification of soil lipids into fatty acid methyl esters (FAMEs) is a useful technique for studying soil microbial communities. The objective of this study was to find the best solvent mixture to extract soil lipids with a pressurized solvent extractor system. Four solvent mixtures were selected for testing: chloroform:methanol:phosphate buffer (1:2:0.8, v/v/v), chloroform:methanol (1:2, v/v), hexane:2-propanol (3:2, v/v) and acetone. Soils were from agricultural fields and had a wide range of clay, organic matter and microbial biomass contents. Total lipid fatty acid methyl esters (TL-FAMEs) were the extractable soil lipids identified and quantified with gas chromatography and flame ionization detection. Concentrations of TL-FAMEs ranged from 57.3 to 542.2 n mole g−1 soil (dry weight basis). The highest concentrations of TL-FAMEs were extracted with chloroform:methanol:buffer or chloroform:methanol mixtures than with the hexane:2-propanol or acetone solvents. The concentrations of TL-FAMEs in chemical groups, including saturated, branched, mono- and poly-unsaturated and hydroxy fatty acids were assessed, and biological groups (soil bacteria, mycorrhizal fungi, saprophytic fungi and higher plants) was distinguished. The extraction efficiency for the chemical and biological groups followed the general trend of: chloroform:methanol:buffer ≥ chloroform:methanol > hexane:2-propanol = acetone. Discriminant analysis revealed differences in TL-FAME profiles based on the solvent mixture and the soil type. Although solvent mixtures containing chloroform and methanol were the most efficient for extracting lipids from the agricultural soils in this study, soil properties and the lipid groups to be studied should be considered when selecting a solvent mixture. According to our knowledge, this is the first report of soil lipid extraction with hexane:2-propanol or acetone in a pressurized solvent extraction system.  相似文献

Pressurized hot water extraction (PHWE) was employed to prepare extracts from dried grape skin of two wine grape varieties (St. Laurent and Alibernet) at various temperatures (from 40 up to 120 °C) and amounts of sample (0.5, 1.0 and 1.5 g). To assess the antioxidant activity of the extracts, electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy was applied involving DPPH and ABTS+ assays. Other extract characteristics including HPLC profile of anthocyanins and total phenolic compound content were obtained as well. PHWE has also been compared with earlier results of extractions of the same grape skin samples with compressed methanol and compressed ethanol under the conditions of pressurized fluid extraction (PFE). From this comparison, PHWE emerges as the more benign and efficient extraction method to recover valuable phenolic antioxidants from grape skins for the prospective use in functional food supplements.  相似文献

In this work, osmium-catalyzed asymmetric dihydroxylation (AD) of methyl trans-cinnamate was studied. Osmium and chiral ligand catalysts were immobilized in ionic liquid only, without any other reaction solvents, while the recovery of the product was performed by extraction with supercritical CO2, and compared with results obtained by extractions with organic solvents such as hexane and diethyl ether. In supercritical CO2 extraction experiments, optimal extraction pressure was found and ionic liquid chosen, so that the highest reaction yields coupled with lowest osmium content in the crude product can be achieved. Finally, recycle experiments of the same (ionic liquid + catalytic system) mixture were successfully conducted. Application of ionic liquids and supercritical CO2 in osmium catalyzed AD allows for the isolation of the diol basically without contamination with osmium, in high yield and enantiomeric excess, and it makes possible the efficient reuse of ionic liquid solvent and the catalytic system.  相似文献

Hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HILIC)–electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) was evaluated for the analysis of tributyltin (TBT) and triphenyltin (TPT) in water samples. Separation was performed in isocratic mode on an Atlantis HILIC silica (2.1 mm × 150 mm, 5 μm) column with a mobile phase of acetonitrile–0.1% aqueous HCOOH (86:14, v/v) at a flow rate of 0.2 mL/min. Under optimum conditions, limits of detection for TBT and TPT were 10 and 20 pg injected onto the column, respectively. The extraction of triorganotin compounds from seawater samples was carried out using a polymer-based solid phase extraction cartridge of mixed modes with reversed-phase and weak anion exchange. Tributyltin-d27 chloride and triphenyltin-d15 chloride were used as internal standards. The relative standard deviations for the analysis were less than 4%. Using the proposed method, it was possible to analyze concentrations of TPT and TBT in seawater at ppt levels.  相似文献

An analytical scheme to determine groups of petroleum hydrocarbon compounds in crude oil was developed and used for the qualitative and quantitative characterization of crude oil samples from the Shengli oilfield, the second largest oilfield in China. Crude oil samples were fractionated and analyzed by thin-layer chromatography with flame ionization detection (TLC-FID). Relative standard deviation (RSD) values for retention time, peak height and half peak width were less than 5.2% for all classes of compounds, based on nine independent replicates. The crude oil light fraction was further analyzed by GC–MS and the majority of identified compounds were methyl- or hydro-derivatives of long-chain hydrocarbons and aromatic compounds. The external standard method used in the present study can lower detection limits of petroleum hydrocarbon compound classes to 20.0 mg L−1, and the crude oil concentration in the range of 30 and 35,000 mg L−1 has a high linear correlation (r2 > 0.97, P < 0.05) with peak area. A comparison between elution chromatography (EC) and TLC-FID regarding the recovery of petroleum hydrocarbon compounds was carried out with aged crude oil contaminated soils of 50, 80, 200 and 300 mg g−1. The tested TLC-FID method showed a 10% higher recovery for total extractable materials than the reference EC method. The calibration factor was fraction-dependent and varied with the recovery rate of TLC/EC. Regarding the tested extraction procedures, accelerated solvent extraction (ASE) had a higher extraction efficiency for crude oil contaminated soils than Soxhlet and ultrasonic extractions.  相似文献

Nanoemulsions can be used for the encapsulation and oral delivery of bioactive lipophilic components, such as nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals. There is growing interest in the utilization of low-energy methods to produce edible nanoemulsions. In this study, we examined the influence of system composition and preparation conditions on the formation of edible nanoemulsions by the emulsion phase inversion (EPI) method. The EPI method involves titrating an aqueous phase (water) into an organic phase (oil + hydrophilic surfactant). The influence of oil type, surfactant type, surfactant-to-oil ratio (SOR), and initial surfactant location on the particle size distributions of the emulsions was studied. The droplet size produced by this method depended on: (i) oil type: medium chain triglycerides (MCT) < flavor oils (orange and limonene) < long chain triglycerides (olive, grape, sesame, peanut and canola oils); (ii) surfactant type: Tween 80 < Tween 20 < Tween 85; (iii) surfactant concentration: smaller droplets were produced at higher SOR; (iv) surfactant location: surfactant initially in oil < surfactant initially in water. The low energy method (EPI) was also compared to a high energy method (microfluidization). Small droplets (d < 160 nm) could be produced by both methods, but much less surfactant was needed for the high energy method (SOR ? 0.1) than the low energy method (SOR ? 0.7).  相似文献

(Liquid + liquid) equilibrium data are presented for four ternary systems of an alkane, or aromatic compound and ethyl(2-hydroxyethyl)dimethylammonium bis{(trifluomethyl)sulfonyl}imide (C2NTf2) at 298.15 K: [hexane + benzene + C2NTf2], [hexane + p-xylene + C2NTf2], and [hexane, or octane + m-xylene + C2NTf2]. The separation of aromatic hydrocarbons (benzene, or p-xylene, or m-xylene) from aliphatic hydrocarbons (hexane, or octane) is investigated by extraction with the ammonium ionic liquid. Selectivities and distribution ratios are discussed for these mixtures at constant temperature. The data were analysed and compared to those previously reported for other ionic liquids and especially for the system {hexane + benzene + [EMIM][NTf2]}. The nonrandom two liquid NRTL model was successfully used to correlate the experimental tie-lines and to calculate the phase compositions of the ternary systems.  相似文献

The analysis of hydrocarbons in chert rocks provides a worthwhile source of information regarding the geochemical features of a depositional setting. Since the typical analytical procedure requires long Soxhlet extractions and the use of large quantities of sample (30-50 g), in this work we have optimised the focused ultrasound extraction (FUSE) and the microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) to make available a less severe procedure. In both cases a full experimental design including solvent mixture composition (Dichloromethane/Hexane/Acetone) and process variables (sonication time and cycles, and extraction temperature and time) by means of D-optimal designs. In the extracted fractions hydrocarbons (C16-C40) were analysed by gas-chromatography-mass spectrometry. In the case of FUSE the process variables were the most sensitive variables and the optimum conditions were defined at 60:40 DCM/Hex mixture and a sonication time of 30 min and 9 cycles. In the case of MAE all the variables shown a significant effect on the extraction yield and the most adequate conditions (60:30:10 DCM/Hex/Ace mixture and an irradiation time of 15 min at 110 °C) were established from the analysis of the response surface. Both methods were systematically applied with different chert samples collected in Cucho (Trebiño County, Burgos, Spain) and we were able to assure quantitative extractions (>85%) in the first extraction. Additionally, from the distribution patterns of n-alkanes obtained in the different chert samples (nodular chert, laminar chert and massive-brechoid chert) collected in Cucho, we were able to distinguish different origins and diagenetic history.  相似文献

A new selective and sensitive method for the determination of insoluble fatty acid salts (soap) in sewage sludge samples is proposed. The method involves a clean up of sample with petroleum ether, the conversion of calcium and magnesium insoluble salts into soluble potassium salts, potassium salts extraction with methanol, and a derivatization procedure previous to the liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection (LC-FLD) analysis. Three different extraction techniques (Soxhlet, microwave-assisted extraction and ultrasounds) were compared and microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) was selected as appropriate for our purpose. This allowed to reduce the extraction time and solvent waste (50 mL of methanol in contrast with 250 mL for Soxhlet procedure). The absence of matrix effect was demonstrated with two standards (C13:0 and C17:0) that are not commercials and neither of them has been detected in sewage sludge samples. Therefore, it was possible to evaluate the matrix effect since both standards have similar environmental behaviour (adsorption and precipitation) to commercial soaps (C10:0-C18:0). The method was successfully applied to samples from different sources and consequently, with different composition.  相似文献

A new method based on enzymatic probe sonication extraction prior to high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) has been developed for the determination of 11 antibiotics (drugs) and the main metabolites of five of them in fish tissue and mussel samples. The analytes belong to four different classes of antibiotics (sulfonamides, tetracyclines, penicillins and amphenicols). The analysed compounds were sulfadiazine (SDI) and N4-acetylsulfadiazine (NDI) metabolite, sulfamethazine (SMZ) and N4-acetylsulfamethazine (NMZ), sulfamerazine (SMR) and N4-acetylsulfamerazine (NMR), sulfamethoxazole (SMX), trimetroprim (TMP), amoxicillin (AMX) and its main metabolite amoxicilloic acid (AMA), ampicillin (AMP) and its main metabolite ampicilloic acid (APA), chloramphenicol (CLF), thiamphenicol (TIF), oxytetracycline (OXT) and chlortetracycline (CLT).The main factors affecting the extraction efficiency (type of enzyme, type and volume of extractant, ultrasounds power and extraction time) were optimised in tissue of hake (Merluccius merluccius), anchovy (Engraulis encrasicolus), mussel (Mytilus sp.) and wedge sole (Solea solea). The extraction was carried out using an extraction time of 5 min with 5 mL of water and subsequent clean-up with dichloromethane.High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with diode array (DAD) and fluorescence (FLD) detectors was used for the determination of the antibiotics. The separation of the analysed compounds was conducted by means of a Phenomenex® Gemini C18 (150 mm × 4.6 mm I.D., particle size 5 μm) analytical column with LiChroCART® LiChrospher® C18 (4 mm × 4 mm, particle size 5 μm) guard-column. Analysed drugs were determined using formic acid 0.1% (v/v) in water and acetonitrile in gradient elution mode as mobile phase. The proposed method was also evaluated by a laboratory assay consisting of the determination of the targeted analytes in samples of Cyprinus carpio which had previously administered the antibiotics.  相似文献

An ultrasound-assisted solvent extraction procedure has been optimised to speed up total polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (T-PAHs) extraction from mussel soft tissue. The T-PAHs releases have been evaluated by spectrofluorimetry (excitation and fluorescence emission wavelengths of 300 and 382 nm, respectively, and using chrysene as calibrant). Variables such as sonication time, ultrasound frequency, n-hexane volume, dichloromethane volume, number of repeated extractions with n-hexane and number of repeated extraction with dichloromethane were simultaneously studied by applying a Plackett-Burman design (PBD) approach. Results showed that ultrasound frequency and n-hexane and dichloromethane volumes were statistically significant variables (confidence interval of 95%). These last two variables were finally optimised by using central composite designs (CCD), yielding optimum n-hexane and dichloromethane volumes of 2.5 and 6.5 ml, respectively. The lowest T-PAHs releasing at high ultrasound frequency (35 kHz) led to choice the lowest ultrasound frequency (17 kHz) to perform the extraction. Variables such as sonication time and number of repeated extraction with n-hexane or dichloromethane were statistically non-significant and they were fixed at 10 min and the extraction with n-hexane and dichloromethane were performed once. The limit of detection was 0.021 μg g−1 (referred to dried mass), the repeatability of the overall method was 4.7% (n = 9) and the analytical recoveries were between 98 and 105%. The proposed method was finally applied to 16 mussel samples (Mytilus galloprovincialis) from Ría de Arousa estuary (Galicia, northwest Spain).  相似文献

A highly sensitive method was developed for the identification and quantification of fatty alcohols in biological tissues. In the presence of pyridine-d0 and triflic anhydride (Tf2O), fatty alcohols were converted into permanently charged N-alkylpyridinium ions. Stable isotope-labeled derivatives were generated by pyridine-d5 and added as internal standard (IS). The mixture was analyzed by liquid chromatography coupled to positive electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry (LC–ESI-MS/MS). This method was optimized and validated in terms of reaction time, derivatization efficiency, stability, desalting, and ion suppression effect. Besides, fatty alcohols exhibited good linear relationship (r2 > 0.993) over the concentration range of 10 ng mL−1–1 μg mL−1. The limits of detection (LODs) were lowered from previously reported 0.1 ng mL−1 to 0.25 pg mL−1. Precision (RSD% < 15.6%), accuracy (93.0–107.2%), matrix effect, and recovery (in thyroid tissues) were validated as well. Finally, this method was applied for the analysis of ten even carbon-numbered fatty alcohols (C8–C24) in human thyroid carcinoma and para-carcinoma tissues, revealing a significant decrease of fatty alcohols (free and esterified) in thyroid carcinoma tissues (< 0.05).  相似文献

A new method was developed for simultaneous determination of trace arsenic and antimony in Chinese herbal medicines by hydride generation-double channel atomic fluorescence spectrometry with a Soxhlet extraction system and an n-octanol-water extraction system, respectively. The effects of analytical conditions on the fluorescence intensity were investigated and optimized. A water-dissolving and methanol-water-dissolving capability were compared. The contents of different species in five Chinese herbal medicines and their decoctions were analyzed. The concentration ratios of n-octanol-soluble As or Sb to water-soluble As or Sb were related to the kinds of medicine and the acidity of the decoction. Soxhlet extraction was found to be an effective method for plants pretreatment for determination of arsenic and antimony species in Chinese herbs; the interferences of coexisting ions were evaluated. The proposed method has the advantages of simple operation, high sensitivity and high speed, with 3σ detection limits of 0.094 μg g−1 for As(III), 0.056 μg g−1 for total As, 0.063 μg g−1 for Sb(III) and 0.019 μg g−1 for total Sb in a 1.0 g of the sample.  相似文献

Polycrystalline samples with general formula Yb2−xCrxO3 (0<x<0.03), obtained by sol-gel method and analyzed by X-ray diffraction, formed solid solutions over all the mentioned range. Cr showed a maximum solubility of 2.8 mol% in Yb2O3 sesquioxide at 1000 °C. A preferential substitution of Cr3+ ions over two cationic sites, 8b and 24d in the space group Ia-3 was found. The lattice parameters a are found to vary linearly (10.4402(4) Å <a<10.4372(1) Å) with the composition x. The two independent atoms Yb/Cr have octahedral coordination; however, the degrees of distortion of their coordination polyhedron are different. Replacing Yb3+ by Cr3+ introduces slight changes in the atomic coordinates leading to an increase of the mean cation-anion distances. The ability of Raman spectroscopy to detect changes in local coordination is utilized. A pseudo-tetrahedral coordination for the Cr3+ in the 24d site was found. Magnetic susceptibility measurements of all samples were done in a temperature range of 2-50 K. For T<37 K, the inverse paramagnetic susceptibilities depend linearly on temperature. However, in the high-temperature region, for T>37 K, the inverse paramagnetic susceptibilities are non-linear versus temperature. This deviation from the Curie-Weiss behaviour was discussed.  相似文献

The method of molecular dynamics has been used to calculate the pressure, internal energy and isochoric heat capacity of the Lennard–Jones fluid for 208 states in the range of temperatures 0.35 ≤ kBT/? ≤ 2.0 and densities 0.001 ≤ ρσ3 ≤ 1.2. The array of data obtained, along with stable states, includes homogeneous metastable states (supersaturated vapor, superheated and supercooled liquid). Spinodals of supersaturated vapor and superheated liquid have been approximated. In a stable region the data obtained are compared with the results of previous papers. The behavior of thermodynamic properties of the fluid in the event of homogeneity disturbance and formation of micro-heterogeneous (“two-phase”) states has been considered.  相似文献

The aim of this work is to determine if the ionic liquid 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium ethylsulfate is a good solvent for the separation of xylenes and hexane by liquid extraction. With this purpose, liquid-liquid equilibrium (LLE) data for the ternary systems {hexane + o-xylene, or m-xylene, or p-xylene + 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium ethylsulfate} were determined at T = 298.15 K and atmospheric pressure. Selectivity and solute distribution ratio, derived from the experimental equilibrium data, were calculated and used to determine if this ionic liquid can be used as a potential solvent for the extraction of xylenes from their mixtures with hexane. The experimental LLE data for the ternary systems were correlated using the NRTL and UNIQUAC models.  相似文献
