Nd(DBM)3Phen-doped (DBM is dibenzoylmethane and Phen is phenanthroline) polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) is prepared. Optical absorption, excitation and emission spectra were analyzed for Nd3+ in Nd(DBM)3Phen-doped PMMA. Using the Judd-Ofelt theory, the absorption spectrum was analyzed. The Judd-Ofelt(J-O) intensity parameters of Nd(DBM)3Phen-doped polymethyl methacrylate were calculated to be Ω2 = 20.97 × 10-20 cm2, Ω4 = 3.42 × 10-20 cm2, Ω6 = 2.90 × 10-20 cm2. The radiative lifetime (631 μs)of the excited 4F3/2 level is given. The stimulated emission cross-sections and the fluorescence branch ratios for the 4F3/2 →4 IJ/ transitions are also evaluated. Analysis reveals that Nd(DBM)3Phen-doped PMMA is promising for application in polymer optical fibers and planar waveguides.  相似文献

Transparent Nd: BiB3O6 crystal has been grown by top-seeded method. The refraction indices of the crystal were measured and the parameters of chromatic dispersion were fitted. The room temperature absorption spectra of the crystal have been measured and compared with that of 0.2 mol/L NdCl3 solution. According to Judd-Ofelt (JO) theory, the spectral strength parameters Ω2 = 0.1776×10?20 cm2, Ω4 = 0.1282?10?201 cm2 and Ω6 = 0.1357X10-20 cm2 of Nd3+ ion were fitted. The radiative transition probabilities AJ,J’, oscillator strengths fJ,J’, radiative lifetime rand the branching ratio βJ’ have all been calculated. Based on these parameters, the properties and application perspective are discussed.  相似文献

The Nd3+:LiGd(WO4) 2 crystal with dimensions of 25mm×28mm×16mm was grown by the top-seeded solution growth method from the 60 mol% Li2W2O7 flux. LiGd(WO4) 2 crystallizes in the tetragonal system with space group I41/a(C4h6) and cell parameters: a = 5.1986 and c = 11.2652 . The hardness is about 5.0 Mohs' scale. The specific heat is 0.40 J·g-1·K-1 at 50 oC. The thermal expansion coefficients for a-and c-axes are 1.314×10-5 and 2.052×10-5 K-1,respectively. The room-temperature polarized absorption and emission spectra and the fluorescence decay curve was measured. The parameters of oscillator strengths,the spontaneous transition probabilities,the fluorescence branching ratios,the radiative lifetimes,and the emission cross sections have been investigated based on Judd-Ofelt theory and Füchtbauer-Ladenburg method. The absorption cross-section is 5.19×10-20 cm2 at 805 nm for π-polarization and its line width is 15 nm;the emission cross section is 1.726×10-19 cm2 at 1060.5 nm for π-polarization. The fluorescence and radiative lifetimes are 86 and 158 μs,respectively. The fluorescence quantum efficiency is 54.43%.  相似文献

<正>The crystal of Nd0.06Y0.94Sr6Sc(BO3)6 with the dimensions up to 35 mm × 28 mm × 13 mm was grown by a top-seeded solution growth method from Li6B4O9 flux. The grown crystal was characterized by X-ray powder diffraction. The optical absorption of the crystal shows that it has a strong absorption band at 8070 A, and the absorption coefficient is 2.17cm-1 with a FWHM of 41 A, which can match with the wavelength of the diode-laser (LD) and is suitable for the LD pumping. Based on the Judd-Ofelt theory, the three parameters of line oscillator strength Ω(λ) (λ = 2, 4 and 6) of the Nd3+ion in the crystal were calculated as follows: Ω2= 1.194 × 10-20, Ω4= 4.186 × 10-20 and Ω6 = 3.351 × 10-20cm2, which are relatively larger. The results indicate that the crystal Nd0.06Y0.94Sr6Sc(BO3)6 may be a kind of high-efficient laser material for diode-pumped.  相似文献

采用高温熔融法制备了一种新的Er3+/Yb3+共掺氟磷酸盐玻璃,测试和分析了其密度、吸收光谱以及荧光光谱,讨论了Er3+离子和Yb3+离子对光谱性质的影响.根据Judd-Ofelt理论计算了玻璃中Er3+离子的强度参数Ωt(t=2,4,6),分别为Ω2=4.36×10-20cm2,Ω4=1.35×10-20cm2,Ω6=0.79×10-20cm2,以及Er3+离子4I13/2能级荧光寿命τm=8.26ms.主发射峰1.53μm处半高宽(FWHM)为68nm.根据McCumber理论计算了Er3+的受激发射截面σe=8.5×10-21cm2.比较了不同玻璃基质中Er3+离子的光谱特性,结果表明:Er3+/Yb3+双掺氟磷酸盐玻璃在1.53μm附近具有较宽的半高宽和较大的受激发射截面,是一种高增益掺铒光纤放大器的理想介质材料.  相似文献

In this paper, the spectroscopic properties of Nd(3+) doped transparent oxyfluoride glass ceramics containing LaF(3) nano-crystals were systematically studied. The formation and distribution of LaF(3) nano-crystals in the glass matrix were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Based on Judd-Ofelt theory, the intensity parameters Omega(t) (t=2, 4, 6), spontaneous emission probability, radiative lifetime, radiative quantum efficiency, width of the emission line and stimulated emission cross-section of Nd(3+) were evaluated. Particularly, the effect of Nd(3+) doping level on them was discussed. With the increase of Nd(3+) concentration in the glass ceramic, the experimental luminescence lifetime, radiative quantum efficiency and stimulated emission cross-section vary from 353.4 micros, 78.3% and 1.86 x 10(-20)cm(2) to 214.7 micros, 39.9% and 1.52 x 10(-20)cm(2), respectively. The comparative study of Nd(3+) spectroscopic parameters in different hosts suggests that the investigated glass ceramic system is potentially applicable as laser materials for 1.06 microm emission.  相似文献

TmAl3(BO3)4 crystallizes in the trigonal system R32 (No. 155) with a = b = 9.2741(13) A, c = 7.218(3) A, alpha = beta = 90 degrees , gamma = 120 degrees , V = 537.7(2) A(3), D(c) = 4.494 g cm(-3), and Z = 3. The absorption spectrum of this crystal was recorded at room temperature. The Judd-Ofelt (J-O) theory was applied to the absorption intensities of TmAl(3)(BO3)4 to obtain the three J-O parameters: Omega(2) = 2.40 x 10(-20) cm(2), Omega(4) = 0.48 x 10(-20) cm(2), and Omega(6) = 1.09 x 10(-20) cm(2). The radiative probabilities, radiative lifetimes, and branching ratios of TmAl3(BO3)4 were calculated. The absorption and emission cross sections, together with the potential laser gain near 1.9 microm, were investigated. The Yb3+-doped LiGd(MoO4)2 crystal with the size up to Φ20×30 mm3 has been grown by Czochralski technique.The polarized room temperature absorption and emission spectra have been investigated.This crystal exhibits a broad absorption band centered at 975 nm with an FWHM of 43 and 59 nm for π-and σ-polarization,respectively,and the corresponding maximal absorption cross-sections are 3.36 and 2.42×10-20 cm2.The emission broadband has an FWHM of 47 and 54 nm for π-and σ-polarization,respectively,with the corresponding emission cross sections of 3.92 and 3.34 × 10-20 cm2 at 1020 nm.The measured fluorescence lifetime is 287 μs.  相似文献

Spectroscopic and physical properties of Nd(3+) doped sodium lead flouro- and chloro-borate glasses of the type 20NaX-30PbO-49.5B(2)O(3)-0.5Nd(2)O(3) (X=F and Cl) have been investigated. Optical absorption spectra have been used to determine the Slater Condon (F(2), F(4), and F(6)), spin orbit xi(4f) and Racah parameters (E(1), E(2), and E(3)). The oscillator strengths and the intensity parameters Omega(2), Omega(4) and Omega(6) have been determined by the Judd-Ofelt theory, which in turn provide the radiative transition probability (A), total transition probability (A(T)), radiative lifetime (tau(R)) and branching ratio (beta) for the fluorescent level (4)F(3/2). The lasing efficiency of the prepared glasses has been characterized by the spectroscopic quality factor (Omega(4)/Omega(6)), the value of which is in the range of 0.2-1.5, typical for Nd(3+) in different laser hosts. Nephelauxetic effect results in a red shift in the energy levels of Nd(3+) for chloroborate glass. The radiative transition probability of the potential lasing transition (4)F(3/2)-->(4)I(11/2) of Nd(3+) ions is found to be higher for flouroborate as compared to chloroborate glass.  相似文献

采用提拉法,生长钬铥双掺氟化钇钡[分子式:Tm3+,Ho3+∶BaY2F8,简称Tm,Ho∶BYF]激光晶体。工艺参数:拉速0.5 mm.h-1,转速5 r.min-1,冷却速率10℃.h-1。XRD表明:属于单斜晶系,空间群C12/m1。计算出晶格参数:a=0.69973 nm,b=1.05293 nm,c=0.427 84 nm,β=99.71°。测试了晶体的吸收及荧光光谱,同时计算了784 nm处吸收峰的半高宽、吸收系数及吸收截面,分别为3.2 nm,2.23 cm-1,7.44×10-21 cm2。该吸收峰对应于Tm3+离子从基态3H6到激发态3H4的跃迁。Tm,Ho∶BYF晶体在2.06μm附近有很强的荧光发射峰,在该荧光峰的发射截面和荧光寿命分别为4.96×10-21 cm2,10.1 ms。Tm3+→Ho3+的正向、反向能量转换系数之比是10.4。  相似文献

A Nd3+ :(Sr0.7Ca0.3)3Y(BO3)3 crystal with dimensions of 17×23 mm3 has been grown by the Czochralski method. The spectroscopic characterization of Nd3+ :(Sr0.7Ca0.3)3Y(BO3)3 crystal was investigated. The polarized absorption cross-sections of Nd3+ :(Sr0.7Ca0.3)3Y(BO3)3 crystal are 2.81×10-20 cm2 with full width at half maximum (FWHM) of 14 nm at 808 nm for σ-polarization and 2.04×10 -20 cm 2 with FWHM of 19 nm at 807 nm for σ-polarization, respectively. The polarized emission cross-sections of Nd3+ :(Sr0.7Ca0.3)3Y(BO3)3 crystal are 12.2×10-20 cm2 at 1062 nm for the π-polarization and 13.6×10-20 cm2 at 1061 nm for the σ-polarization, respectively. After the Ca 2+ ion partly substitutes for Sr2+ ion in the Sr3Y(BO3)3 crystal to form the (Sr0.7Ca0.3)3Y(BO3)3 solid solution, it can improve the quantum efficiency of Nd3+ :(Sr0.7Ca0.3)3Y(BO3)3 crystal. The quantum efficiency is 31.7%. These results may be regarded Nd3+ :(Sr0.7Ca0.3)3Y(BO3)3 crystal as a potential solid-state laser material.  相似文献
