Reactions of 3,6-bis(2-pyridyl)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine (bptz) with solvated first-row transition metals M(II) (M(II) = Ni, Zn, Mn, Fe, Cu) have been explored with emphasis on the factors that influence the identity of the resulting cyclic products for Ni(II) and Zn(II). The relatively small anions, namely [ClO4]- and [BF4]-, lead to the formation of molecular squares [{M4(bptz)4(CH3CN)8} subsetX][X]7, (M = Zn(II), Ni(II); X = [BF4]-, [ClO4]-), whereas the larger anion [SbF6]- favors the molecular pentagon [{Ni5(bptz)5-(CH3CN)10} subsetSbF6][SbF6]9. The molecular pentagon easily converts to the square in the presence of excess [BF4]-, [ClO4]-, and [I]- anions, whereas the Ni(II) square can be partially converted to the less stable pentagon under more forcing conditions in the presence of excess [SbF6]- ions. No evidence for the molecular square being in equilibrium with the pentagon was observed in the ESI-MS spectra of the individual square and pentagon samples. Anion-exchange reactions of the encapsulated ion in [{Ni4(bptz)4(CH3CN)8} subsetClO4][ClO4]7 reveal that a larger anion such as [IO4]- cannot replace [ClO4]- inside the cavity, but that the linear [Br3]- anion is capable of doing so. ESI-MS studies of the reaction between [Ni(CH3CN)6][NO3]2 and bptz indicate that the product is trinuclear. Mass spectral studies of the bptz reactions with Mn(II), Fe(II), and Cu(II), in the presence of [ClO4]- anions, support the presence of molecular squares. The formation of the various metallacyclophanes is discussed in light of the factors that influence these self-assembly reactions, such as choice of metal ion, anion, and solvent.  相似文献

The new pincer ligand 2,6-bis[(1,3-di-tert-butylimidazolin-2-imino)methyl]pyridine (TL(tBu)) has been prepared in high yield from 2,6-bis(hydroxymethyl)pyridine (1) and 1,3-di-tert-butylimidazolin-2-imine (3). Reaction of TL(tBu) with [Cu(MeCN)4]PF6 affords the highly reactive copper(I) complex [(TL(tBu))Cu]PF6, [5]PF6, which forms the stable copper(I) isocyanide complexes [6a]PF6 (nu(CN) = 2179 cm(-1)) and [6b]PF6 (nu(CN) = 2140 cm(-1)) upon addition of tert-butyl or 2,6-dimethylphenyl isocyanide, respectively. For the cations 6a and 6b, DFT calculations reveal ground-state electronic structures of the type [(TL(tBu)-kappaN(1):kappaN(2))Cu(CNR)] with tricoordinate geometries around the copper atoms. Exposure of [5]PF6 to the air readily leads to trapping of atmospheric CO2 to form the square-planar complex [(TL(tBu))Cu(HCO3-kappaO)]PF6, [7]PF6, with the bicarbonate ligand adopting a rarely observed monodentate coordination mode. In chlorinated solvents such as dichloromethane or chloroform, [5]PF(6) rapidly abstracts chloride by reductive dechlorination of the solvent to yield [(TL(tBu))CuCl]PF6, [8]PF6 quantitatively. Reaction of TL(tBu) with copper(I) bromide or chloride affords complexes 9a and 9b, respectively, for which X-ray diffraction analysis, low-temperature NMR experiments and DFT calculations reveal the presence of a kappa(2)-coordinated ligand of the type [(TL(tBu)-kappaN(1):kappaN(2))CuX]. In solution, complex 9b undergoes slow disproportionation forming the mixed-valence copper(II)/copper(I) system [(TL(tBu))CuCl][CuCl2], [8]CuCl2 with a linear dichlorocuprate(I) counterion.  相似文献

Ligands derived from the tripodal N4 ligand tris(pyridylmethyl)amine ((pyCH2)3N, tpa) of general formula (6-RNHpyCH2)nN(CH2py)(3-n)(R = H, n= 1-3 L(1-3); R = neopentyl, n= 1-3 L'(1-3)) were used to elucidate and quantify the magnitude of the effects exerted by hydrogen bonding and hydrophobic environments in the zinc-water acidity of their complexes. The pKa of the zinc-bound water molecule of [(L(1-3))Zn(OH2)]2+ and [(L'(1-3))Zn(OH2)]2+ 1'-3' was determined by potentiometric pH titrations in water (1-3) or water-ethanol (1:1) (1'-3'). The zinc(II) water acidity gradually increases as the number of -NH2 hydrogen bonding groups adjacent to the water molecule increases. Thus, the zinc-bound water of [(L3)Zn(OH2)]2+ and [(tpa)Zn(OH2)]2+ deprotonate with pKa values of 6.0 and 8.0, respectively. The pKa of the water molecule, however, is only raised from 8.0 in [(tpa)Zn(OH2)]2+ to 9.1 in [(bpg)Zn(OH2)]+ (bpa =(pyCH2)2N(CH2COO-)). Moreover, the acidity of the zinc-bound water of several of the five-coordinate zinc(II) complexes with the hydrogen bonding groups is greater than that of four-coordinate [((12)aneN3)Zn(OH2)]2+ (pKa = 7.0). This result shows that the magnitude of the effect exerted by the hydrogen bonding groups can be larger than that induced by changing one neutral by one anionic ligand, and/or even by changing the coordination number of the zinc(II) centre. The X-ray structure of [(L'2)Zn(OH)]ClO4 2' and [(L'3)Zn(OH)]ClO4.CH3CN 3'.CH3CN is reported, and show the neopentylamino groups forming N-H...O hydrogen bonds with the zinc-bound hydroxide. Although, which have hydrogen bonding and hydrophobic groups, have a zinc-bound water more acidic than [(tpa)Zn(OH2)]2+, their pKa is not always lower than that of 1-3. This result suggests that a hydrogen bonding microenvironment may be more effective than a hydrophobic one to increase the zinc-water acidity.  相似文献

Ruthenium nitrosyl complexes containing the Kl?ui's oxgyen tripodal ligand L(OEt)(-) ([CpCo{P(O)(OEt)(2)}(3)](-) where Cp = η(5)-C(5)H(5)) were synthesized and their photolysis studied. The treatment of [Ru(N^N)(NO)Cl(3)] with [AgL(OEt)] and Ag(OTf) afforded [L(OEt)Ru(N^N)(NO)][OTf](2) where N^N = 4,4'-di-tert-butyl-2,2'-bipyridyl (dtbpy) (2·[OTf](2)), 2,2'-bipyridyl (bpy) (3·[OTf](2)), N,N,N'N'-tetramethylethylenediamine (4·[OTf](2)). Anion metathesis of 3·[OTf](2) with HPF(6) and HBF(4) gave 3·[PF(6)](2) and 3·[BF(4)](2), respectively. Similarly, the PF(6)(-) salt 4·[PF(6)](2) was prepared by the reaction of 4·[OTf](2) with HPF(6). The irradiation of [L(OEt)Ru(NO)Cl(2)] (1) with UV light in CH(2)Cl(2)-MeCN and tetrahydrofuran (thf)-H(2)O afforded [L(OEt)RuCl(2)(MeCN)] (5) and the chloro-bridged dimer [L(OEt)RuCl](2)(μ-Cl)(2) (6), respectively. The photolysis of complex [2][OTf](2) in MeCN gave [L(OEt)Ru(dtbpy)(MeCN)][OTf](2) (7). Refluxing complex 5 with RNH(2) in thf gave [L(OEt)RuCl(2)(NH(2)R)] (R = tBu (8), p-tol (9), Ph (10)). The oxidation of complex 6 with PhICl(2) gave [L(OEt)RuCl(3)] (11), whereas the reduction of complex 6 with Zn and NH(4)PF(6) in MeCN yielded [L(OEt)Ru(MeCN)(3)][PF(6)] (12). The reaction of 3·[BF(4)](2) with benzylamine afforded the μ-dinitrogen complex [{L(OEt)Ru(bpy)}(2)(μ-N(2))][BF(4)](2) (13) that was oxidized by [Cp(2)Fe]PF(6) to a mixed valence Ru(II,III) species. The formal potentials of the RuL(OEt) complexes have been determined by cyclic voltammetry. The structures of complexes 5,6,10,11 and 13 have been established by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

By using the neutral bidentate nitrogen-containing ligand, bis(3,5-diisopropyl-1-pyrazolyl)methane (L1' '), the copper(I) complexes [Cu(L1' ')2](CuCl2) (1CuCl2), [Cu(L1' ')2](ClO4) (1ClO4), [Cu(L1' ')]2(ClO4)2 (2ClO4), [Cu(L1' ')]2(BF4)2 (2BF4), [Cu(L1' ')(NCMe)](PF6) (3PF6), [Cu(L1' ')(PPh3)](ClO4) (4ClO4), [Cu(L1' ')(PPh3)](PF6) (4PF6), [{Cu(L1' ')(CO)}2(mu-ClO4)](ClO4) (5ClO4), and the copper(II) complexes [{Cu(L1' ')}2(mu-OH)2(mu-ClO4)2] (6), and [Cu(L1' ')Cl2] (7) were systematically synthesized and fully characterized by X-ray crystallography and by IR and 1H NMR spectroscopy. In the case of copper(II), ESR spectroscopy was also applied. In comparison with the related neutral tridentate ligand L1', bis-chelated copper(I) complexes and binuclear linear-coordinated copper(I) complexes are easy to obtain with L1' ', like 1CuCl2, 1ClO4, 2ClO4, and 2BF4. Importantly, stronger and bulkier ligands such as acetonitrile (3PF6) and especially triphenylphosphine (4ClO4 and 4PF6) generate three-coordinate structures with a trigonal-planar geometry. Surprisingly, for the smaller ligand carbon monoxide, a mononuclear three-coordinate structure is very unstable, leading to the formation of a binuclear complex (5ClO4) with one bridging perchlorate anion, such that the copper(I) centers are four-coordinate. The same tendency is observed for the copper(II) bis(mu-hydroxo) compounds 6, which is additionally bridged by two perchlorate anions. Both copper(II) complexes 6 and 7 were obtained by molecular O2 oxidation of the corresponding copper(I) complexes. A comparison of the new copper(I) triphenylphosphine complexes 4ClO4 and 4PF6 with corresponding species obtained with the related tridentate ligands L1' and L1 (8ClO4 and 9, respectively) reveals surprisingly small differences in their spectroscopic properties. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations are used to shed light on the differences in bonding in these compounds and the spectral assignments. Finally, the reactivity of the different bis(pyrazolyl)methane complexes obtained here toward PPh3, CO, and O2 is discussed.  相似文献

The tetradentate ligand L(naph) contains two N-donor bidentate pyrazolyl-pyridine units connected to a 1,8-naphthyl core via methylene spacers; L45 and L56 are chiral ligands with a structure similar to that of L(naph) but bearing pinene groups fused to either C4 and C5 or C5 and C6 of the terminal pyridyl rings. The complexes [Cu(L(naph))](OTf) and [Ag(L(naph))](BF4) have unremarkable mononuclear structures, with Cu(I) being four-coordinate and Ag(I) being two-coordinate with two additional weak interactions (i.e., "2 + 2" coordinate). In contrast, [Cu4(L(naph))4][BF4]4 is a cyclic tetranuclear helicate with a tetrafluoroborate anion in the central cavity, formed by an anion-templating effect; electrospray mass spectrometry (ESMS) spectra show the presence of other cyclic oligomers in solution. The chiral ligands show comparable behavior, with [Cu(L45)](BF4) and [Ag(L45)](ClO4) having similar mononuclear crystal structures and with the ligands being tetradentate chelates. In contrast, [Ag4(L56)4](BF4)4 is a cyclic tetranuclear helicate in which both diastereomers of the complex are present in the crystal; the two diastereomers have similar gross geometries but are significantly different in detail. Despite their different crystal structures, [Ag(L45)](ClO4) and [Ag4(L56)4](BF4)4 behave similarly in solution according to ESMS studies, with a range of cyclic oligomers (up to Ag9L9) forming. With transition-metal dications Co(II), Cu(II), and Cd(II), L(naph) generates a series of unusual dodecanuclear coordination cages [M12(L(naph))18]X24 (X- = ClO4- or BF4-) in which the 12 metal ions occupy the vertices of a truncated tetrahedron and a bridging ligand spans each of the 18 edges. The central cavity of each cage can accommodate four counterions, and each cage molecule is chiral, with all 12 metal trischelates being homochiral; the crystals are racemic. Extensive aromatic stacking between ligands around the periphery of the cages appears to be a significant factor in their assembly. The chiral analogue L45 forms the simpler tetranuclear, tetrahedral coordination cage [Zn4(L45)6](ClO4)(8), with one anion in the central cavity; the steric bulk of the pinene chiral auxiliaries prevents the formation of a dodecanuclear cage, although trace amounts of [Zn12(L45)18](ClO4)24 can be detected in solution by ESMS. Formation of [Zn4(L45)6](ClO4)8 is diastereoselective, with the chirality of the pinene groups controlling the chirality of the tetranuclear cage.  相似文献

Novel crystallographic D3-symmetric binuclear triple molecular helices [Co2L(1)3][BF4]4 (1), [Zn2L(1)3][BF4]4 (2), [Mn2L(1)3][BF4]4 (3), [Co2L(2)3][BF4]4 (4), [Zn2L(2)3][BF4]4 (5), and [Mn2L(2)3][BF4]4 (6) have been achieved to establish the side chain effect on molecular packing, where L1 is [(C5H4N)C(CH3)=N-(C6H4)-]2CH2 and L2 is [(C5H4N)C(CH3)=N-(C6H4)-]2O, respectively. Crystal structure analyses show that each helix crystallizes in a hexagonal crystal system with space group Pc1 and the general axis of the helix occupies the crystallographic 3-fold axial position with the other three crystallographic 2-fold symmetries perpendicular to it. Each metal center is bound to three pyridylimine units to attain C3 pseudooctahedral coordination geometry with respective equivalent metal-N (CH=N) and metal-N (pyridyl) bonds. It is speculated that the existence of the methyl group might minimize the potential intermolecular interactions, which would be the essential factor controlling the helices formed in idealized crystallographic D3 symmetry. Moreover, crystallographic idealized C3-symmetric helicates [Co2L(3)3][BF4]4 (7), [Zn2L(3)3][BF4]4 (8), [Ni2L(3)3][BF4]4 (9), and [Cu2L(3)3][BF4]4 (10) were also structurally characterized for comparison, where L3 is [(C5H4N)C(CH3)=N-]2. All the results indicate that the existence of the methyl group in the side chain of aromatic ligands could effectively reduce the potential - intermolecular interactions and the side chain effect of the methyl group in crystal packing is robust enough to be exchanged from one network structure to another, which ensures the generality and predictability of the crystallographic idealized symmetry formation to a certain extent.  相似文献

Complexes [PF6 subset(Ag3(titmb)2](PF6)2 (8) and {SbF6 subset[Ag3(titmb)2](SbF6)2}.H2O.1.5 CH3OH (9) are obtained by reaction of titmb and Ag+ salts with different anions (PF6(-) and SbF6(-)), and crystal structures reveal that they are both M3L2 cage complexes with short Ag...F interactions between the silver atoms and the fluorine atoms of the anions. In complex 8, a novel cage dimer is formed by weak Ag...F contacts; an unique cage tetramer formed via Ag...pi interactions (Ag...eta5-imidazole) between dimers and an infinite 1D cage chain is presented. However, each of the external non-disordered SbF6(-) anions connect with six cage 9s via Ag...F contacts, and each cage 9 in turn connects with three SbF6(-) anions to form a 2D network cage layer; and the layers are connected by pi-pi interactions to form a 3D network. The anion-exchange reactions of four Ag3L2 type complexes ([BF4 subset(Ag3(titmb)2](BF4)2 (6), [ClO4 subset(Ag3(titmb)2](ClO4)2 (7b), [PF6 subset(Ag3(titmb)2](PF6)2 (8) and [SbF6 subset(Ag3(titmb)2](SbF6)2.1.5CH3OH (9)) with tetrahedral and octahedral anions (ClO4(-), BF4(-), PF6(-) and SbF6(-)) are also reported. The anion-exchange experiments demonstrate that the anion selective order is SbF6(-) > PF6(-) > BF4(-), ClO4(-), and this anion receptor is preferred to trap octahedral and tetrahedral anions rather than linear or triangle anions; SbF6(-) is the biggest and most preferable one, so far. The dimensions of cage complexes with or without internal anions, anion-exchange reactions, cage assembly and anion inclusions, silver(I) coordination environments, Ag-F and Ag-pi interactions of Ag3L2 complexes 1-9 are discussed.  相似文献

The photomagnetic properties of the following iron(II) complexes have been investigated: [Fe(L1)2][BF4]2, [Fe(L2)2][BF4]2, [Fe(L2)2][ClO4]2, [Fe(L3)2][BF4]2, [Fe(L3)2][ClO4]2 and [Fe(L4)2][ClO4]2 (L1 = 2,6-di{pyrazol-1-yl}pyridine; L2 = 2,6-di{pyrazol-1-yl}pyrazine; L3 = 2,6-di{pyrazol-1-yl}-4-{hydroxymethyl}pyridine; and L4 = 2,6-di{4-methylpyrazol-1-yl}pyridine). Compounds display a complete thermal spin transition centred between 200-300 K, and undergo the light-induced excited spin state trapping (LIESST) effect at low temperatures. The T(LIESST) relaxation temperature of the photoinduced high-spin state for each compound has been determined. The presence of sigmoidal kinetics in the HS --> LS relaxation process, and the observation of LITH hysteresis loops under constant irradiation, demonstrate the cooperative nature of the spin transitions undergone by these materials. All the compounds in this study follow a previously proposed linear relation between T(LIESST) and their thermal spin-transition temperatures T(1/2): T(LIESST) = T(0)- 0.3T(1/2). T(0) for these compounds is identical to that found previously for another family of iron(II) complexes of a related tridentate ligand, the first time such a comparison has been made. Crystallographic characterisation of the high- and low-spin forms, the light-induced high-spin state, and the low-spin complex [Fe(L4)2][BF4]2, are described.  相似文献

The effect of a counteranion on chiral recognition inducing conglomerate crystallization of a cobalt(III) complex is reported. An achiral tripodal ligand involving three imidazole groups, tris{[2-{(imidazol-4-yl)methylidene}amino]ethyl}amine (H3L), was prepared by condensation of tris(2-aminoethyl)amine and 4-formylimidazole in a 1:3 mole ratio. The reaction of H3L and trans-[CoIIICl2(py)4]+ afforded the chiral (Delta or Lambda) [CoIII(H3L)]3+ complex. The formally hemideprotonated complexes [CoIII(H(1.5)L)]X(1.5).nH2O (where X = Cl, Br, I, BF4, ClO4, or PF6) were synthesized by controlled deprotonation of the uncoordinated imidazole NH groups of [Co(H3L)]3+. In crystals of the hemideprotonated complex, two components, [Co(H3L)]3+ and [Co(L)], with the same absolute configuration are linked by imidazole-imidazolate hydrogen bonds to form an extended homochiral 2D sheet structure, which is composed of a hexanuclear unit with a trigonal void. There are two ways of stacking the sheets: One is via homochiral stacking, and the other is via heterochiral stacking. When the size of the counterion is small (i.e., X = Cl, Br, I, or BF4), adjacent homochiral sheets with the same chirality are stacked to form a homochiral crystal (conglomerate). With large anions (i.e., ClO4- and PF6-), a homochiral sheet consisting of Delta enantiomers and a sheet consisting of Lambda enantiomers are stacked alternately to give a heterochiral crystal (a racemic crystal). Optically active Lambda-[Co(H(1.5)L)](ClO4)(1.5).H2O was synthesized from Lambda-[Co(H3L)]3+, and the crystal structure was compared to that of the racemic complex. There are two conflicting factors governing the crystal structure: the skeletal density; the size of the channels. The 2D sheets are more closely packed in the homochiral crystal than in the heterochiral crystal. However, the channels, where the counterions are accommodated, are smaller in the homochiral crystal, and the steric congestion between the anions increases with increasing anion size. The heterochiral crystal has a flexible, zigzag channel structure, and the size of the channels can increase to accommodate larger anions. Thus, complexes with large anions (i.e., ClO4- and PF6-) preferentially form heterochiral crystals rather than homochiral crystals.  相似文献

The coordination chemistry of the tetradentate pyridyl-thiazole (py-tz) N-donor ligand 6,6'-bis(4-phenylthiazol-2-yl)-2,2'-bipyridine (L1) has been investigated. Reaction of L1 with equimolar copper(II) ions results in the formation of the single-stranded mononuclear complex [Cu(L1)(ClO4)2] (1), whereas reaction with copper(I) ions results in the double-stranded dinuclear helicate [Cu2(L1)2][PF6]2 (2). Both complexes were characterized by X-ray crystallography, UV-vis spectroscopy, and electrospray ionization mass spectroscopy (as well as 1H NMR spectroscopy for diamagnetic 2). Complex 2 is redox-active and, upon one-electron oxidation, forms the stable tricationic mixed-valence helicate [Cu2(L1)2]3+ (3). This species can also be prepared in situ by combining [Cu(MeCN)4][BF4], [Cu(H2O)6][BF4]2, and L1 in a 1:1:2 ratio in nitromethane. X-ray crystallographic analysis of 3 provides structural evidence for the presence of an internuclear Cu-Cu bond, with an even distribution of spin density across the two Cu centers. Room-temperature UV-vis spectroscopy is consistent with this finding; however, frozen-glass EPR spectroscopic investigations suggest solvatochromic behavior at 110 K, with the [Cu2]3+ core varying from localized to delocalized depending on the solvent polarity.  相似文献

Treatment of a dinuclear zinc hydroxide complex ([(bmnpaZn)(2)(mu-OH)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (1) or [(benpaZn)(2)(mu-OH)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (2)) with excess equivalents of an aryl alcohol derivative (p-HOC(6)H(4)X; X = NO(2), CHO, CN, COCH(3), Br, H, OCH(3)) yielded the nitrogen/sulfur-ligated zinc aryloxide complexes [(bmnpa)Zn(p-OC(6)H(4)NO(2))](ClO(4)) (3), [(benpa)Zn(p-OC(6)H(4)NO(2))](ClO(4)) (4), [(benpa)Zn(p-OC(6)H(4)CHO)](ClO(4)) (5), [(benpa)Zn(p-OC(6)H(4)CN)](ClO(4)) (6), [(benpa)Zn(p-OC(6)H(4)COCH(3))](ClO(4)) x 0.5H(2)O (7), [(benpa)Zn(p-OC(6)H(4)Br)](ClO(4)) (8), [(benpa)Zn(p-OC(6)H(5))](ClO(4)) (9), and [(benpa)Zn(p-OC(6)H(5)OCH(3))](ClO(4)) (10). The solid state structures of 2, 3, 5, and 6 have been determined by X-ray crystallography. While 3 and 6 exhibit a mononuclear zinc ion possessing a distorted five-coordinate trigonal bipyramidal geometry, in 5 each zinc center exhibits a distorted six-coordinate octahedral geometry resulting from coordination of the aldehyde carbonyl oxygen of another zinc-bound aryloxide ligand, yielding a chain-type structure. Zinc coordination of the aldehyde carbonyl of 5 is indicated by a large shift (>40 cm(-)(1)) to lower energy of the carbonyl stretching vibration (nu(C[double bond]O) in solid state FTIR spectra of the complex. In the solid state structures of 3, 5, and 6, a hydrogen-bonding interaction is found between N(3)-H of the supporting bmnpa/benpa ligand and the zinc-bound oxygen atom of the aryloxide ligand (N(3)...O(1) approximately 2.78 A). Solution (1)H and (13)C NMR spectra of 3-10 in CD(3)CN and FTIR spectra in CH(3)CN are consistent with all of the aryloxide complexes having a similar solution structure, with retention of the hydrogen-bonding interaction involving N(3)-H and the oxygen atom of the zinc-coordinated aryloxide ligand. For this family of zinc aryloxide complexes, a correlation was discovered between the chemical shift position of the N(3)-H proton resonance and the pK(a) of the parent aryl alcohol. This correlation indicates that the strength of the hydrogen-bonding interaction involving the zinc-bound aryloxide oxygen is increasing as the aryloxide moiety increases in basicity.  相似文献

Silver(I) coordination complexes with the versatile and biomimetic ligands 1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine (tp), 5,7-dimethyl-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine (dmtp) and 7-amine-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine (7atp) all feature dinuclear [Ag(2)(μ-tp)(2)](2+) building units (where tp is a triazolopyrimidine derivative), which are the preferred motif, independently of the counter-anion used. According to AIM (atoms in molecules) and ELF (electron localization function) analyses, this fact is due to the great stability of these dinuclear species. The complexes structures range from the dinuclear entities [Ag(2)(μ-tp)(2)(CH(3)CN)(4)](BF(4))(2) (1), [Ag(2)(μ-tp)(2)(CH(3)CN)(4)](ClO(4))(2) (2), [Ag(2)(μ-7atp)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (3) and [Ag(2)(μ-dmtp)(2)(CH(3)CN)](PF(6))(ClO(4)) (4) over the 1D polymer chain [Ag(2)(μ-CF(3)SO(3))(2)(μ-dmtp)(2)](n) (5) to the 3D net {[Ag(2)(μ(3)-tp)(2)](PF(6))(2)·~6H(2)O}(n) (6) with NbO topology.  相似文献

The self-assembly of supramolecular metallacycles via the coordination-driven directional bonding approach can be modified to produce some unexpected structural variations. The combination of a flexible ligand-capped dinuclear transition-metal acceptor like [Cu(2)(dppm)(2)(NCMe)(2)]X(2) (1X(2); dppm = Ph(2)PCH(2)PPh(2); X(-) = BF(4)(-), PF(6)(-), or BPh(4)(-)) with monodentate-bidentate donors like 2-, 3-, and 4-pyridylcarboxylates produced oligomeric compounds [{Cu(2)(dppm)(2)}(μ-(2-PyCO(2)))](2)X(2) (2X(2)), [{Cu(2)(dppm)(2)}(μ-(3-PyCO(2)))](2)X(2) (3X(2)), and [{Cu(2)(dppm)(2)}(μ-(4-PyCO(2)))](4)X(4) (4X(4)), respectively, as the thermodynamically stable products in one-pot reactions. However, the modified self-assembly is still subject to steric hindrance. The reaction of complex 1(BF(4))(2) with 6-Me-3-PyCO(2)H did not produce a polygonal dimeric metallacycle but a simple dinuclear complex, [Cu(2)(dppm)(2)(6-Me-3-PyCO(2))](BF(4)) (5(BF(4))). The crystal structures of complexes 2(PF(6))(2), 3(PF(6))(2), 4(BF(4))(4), and 5(BF(4)) were determined using X-ray diffraction.  相似文献

Treatment of fac-[Mn(CNR)(CO)3{(PMe2)2CH2}]ClO4 (1a R = Ph, R = tBu) with KOH produced the cleavage of one of the P-C bonds of the coordinated dmpm ligand, resulting in the formation of phosphine-phosphinite complexes fac-[Mn(PMe2O)(CNR)(CO)3(PMe3)] (2a,b). Alkoxides such as NaOMe and NaOEt promoted similar processes in 1a,b, yielding fac-[Mn(CNR)(CO)3(PMe3)(PMe2OR')]ClO4 (3a R = tBu, R' = Me; 3b R = Ph, R' = Me; 4a R = tBu, R' = Et; 4b R = Ph, R' = Et) derivatives. The phosphinite ligand in 2a, b can be sequentially protonated by addition of 0.5 and 1 equivalent of HBF4 leading to fac-[{Mn(CNR)(CO)3(PMe3)(PMe2O)}2H]BF4 (6a,b) and fac-[Mn(CNR)(CO)3(PMe3)(PMe2OH)]BF4 (5a,b), respectively.  相似文献

New homo- and heterometallic, hexa- and pentanuclear complexes of formula {[Cu2(mpba)2(H2O)F][Cu(Me5dien)]4}(PF6)(3).5H2O (1), {[Cu2(Me3mpba)2(H2O)2][Cu(Me5dien)]4}(ClO4)(4).12H2O (2), {[Cu2(ppba)2][Cu(Me5dien)]4}(ClO4)4 (3), and [Ni(cyclam)]{[Cu2(mpba)2][Ni(cyclam)]3}(ClO4)(4).6H2O (4) [mpba=1,3-phenylenebis(oxamate), Me3mpba=2,4,6-trimethyl-1,3-phenylenebis(oxamate), ppba=1,4-phenylenebis(oxamate), Me5dien=N,N,N'N' ',N' '-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine, and cyclam=1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane] have been synthesized through the use of the "complex-as-ligand/complex-as-metal" strategy. The structures of 1-3 consist of cationic CuII6 entities with an overall [2x2] ladder-type architecture which is made up of two oxamato-bridged CuII3 linear units connected through two m- or p-phenylenediamidate bridges between the two central copper atoms to give a binuclear metallacyclic core of the cyclophane-type. Complex 4 consists of cationic CuII2NiII3 entities with an incomplete [2x2] ladder-type architecture which is made up of oxamato-bridged CuIINiII and CuIINiII2 linear units connected through two m-phenylenediamidate bridges between the two copper atoms to give a binuclear metallacyclophane core. The magnetic properties of 1-3 and 4 have been interpreted according to their distinct "dimer-of-trimers" and "dimer-plus-trimer" structures, respectively, (H=-J(S1A.S3A+S1A.S4A+S2B.S5B+S2B.S6B)-J'S1A.S2B). Complexes 1-4 exhibit moderate to strong antiferromagnetic coupling through the oxamate bridges (-JCu-Cu=81.3-105.9 cm-1; -JCu-Ni=111.6 cm-1) in the trinuclear and/or binuclear units. Within the binuclear metallacyclophane core, a weak to moderate ferromagnetic coupling (J'Cu-Cu=1.7-9.0 cm-1) operates through the double m-phenylenediamidate bridge, while a strong antiferromagnetic coupling (J'Cu-Cu=-120.6 cm-1) is mediated by the double p-phenylenediamidate bridge.  相似文献

A family of coordination complexes has been synthesized, each comprising a ruthenium(II) center ligated by a thiacrown macrocycle, [9]aneS(3), [12]aneS(4), or [14]aneS(4), and a pair of cis-coordinated ligands, niotinamide (nic), isonicotinamide (isonic), or p-cyanobenzamide (cbza), that provide the complexes with peripherally situated amide groups capable of hydrogen bond formation. The complexes [Ru([9]aneS(3))(nic)(2)Cl]PF(6), 1(PF(6)); [Ru([9]aneS(3)) (isonic)(2)Cl]PF(6), 2(PF(6)); [Ru([12]aneS(4))(nic)(2)](PF(6))(2), 3(PF(6))(2); [Ru([12]aneS(4))(isonic)(2)](PF(6))(2), 4(PF(6))(2); [Ru([12]aneS(4)) (cbza)(2)](PF(6))(2), 5(PF(6))(2); [Ru([14]aneS(4))(nic)(2)](PF(6))(2), 6(PF(6))(2); [Ru([14]aneS(4))(isonic)(2)](PF(6))(2), 7(PF(6))(2); and [Ru([14]aneS(4))(cbza)(2)](PF(6))(2), 8(PF(6))(2) have been characterized by NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and elemental analysis. UV/visible spectroscopy shows that each complex exhibits an intense high-energy band (230-255 nm) assigned to a pi-pi* transition and a lower energy band (297-355 nm) assigned to metal-to-ligand charge-transfer transitions. Electrochemical studies indicate good reversibility for the oxidations of complexes with nic and isonic ligands (|I(a)/I(c)| = 1; DeltaEp < 100 mV), In contrast, complexes 5 and 8, which incorporate cbza ligands, display oxidations that are not fully electrochemically reversible (|I(a)/I(c)| = 1, DeltaEp > or = 100 mV). Metal-based oxidation couples between 1.32 and 1.93 V versus Ag/AgCl can be rationalized in term of the acceptor capabilities of the thiacrown ligands and the amide-bearing ligands, as well as the pi-donor capacity of the chloride ligands in compounds 1 and 2. The potential to use these electroactive metal complexes as building blocks for hydrogen-bonded crystalline materials has been explored. Crystal structures of compounds 1(PF(6)).H(2)O, 1(BF(4)).2H(2)O, 2(PF(6)), 3(PF(6))(2), 6(PF(6))(2)CH(3)NO(2), and 8(PF(6))(2) are reported. Four of the six form amide-amide N-H...O hydrogen bonds leading to networks constructed from amide C(4) chains or tapes containing R(2)(2) (8) hydrogen-bonded rings. The other two, 2(PF(6)) and 8(PF(6)), form networks linked through amide-anion N-H...F hydrogen bonds. The role of counterions and solvent in interrupting or augmenting direct amide-amide network propagation is explored, and the systematic relationship between the hydrogen-bonded networks formed across the series of structures is presented, showing the relationship between chain and tape arrangements and the progression from 1D to 2D networks. The scope for future systematic development of electroactive tectons into network materials is discussed.  相似文献

The novel pyridine-containing 14-membered macrocycle 3,11-dithia-7,17-diazabicyclo[11.3.1]heptadeca-1(17),13,15-triene (L), which contains an N2S2 donor set, was synthesized, and its protonation behavior was studied by absorption titration with CH3SO3H. The reaction of L with Pd(II) was studied spectroscopically, and the square-planar complex [Pd(L)](BF4) was isolated and characterized. The reactions between L and NiX2 x 6 H2O (X = BF4, ClO4) in ethanol or acetonitrile afforded the octahedral complexes [Ni(CH3CN)(H2O)(L)](X)2 and [Ni(H2O)2(L)](X)2, respectively. The square-planar complexes [Ni(L)](X)2 were obtained by heating these octahedral complexes. Spectrophotometric titrations of [Ni(L)](BF4)2 were performed with neutral and negatively charged ligands. The color of nitromethane solutions of this square-planar complex turns from red to cyan, purple, blue, yellow-green, and pink following addition of halides, acetonitrile, water, pyridine, and 2,2'-bipyridine, respectively. X-ray structural analyses were carried out on the {[Ni(ClO4)(H2O)(L)][Ni(H2O)2(L)]}(ClO4)3, [Ni(CH3CN)(H2O)(L)](ClO4)2, [{Ni(L)}2(mu-Cl)2](ClO4)2, and [{Ni(L)}2(mu-Br)2]Br2 x 2 CH3NO2 complexes.  相似文献

The preparation of the [NBu4][Pt(C6F5)3L] complexes (L=triazene, formamidine, 2-aminopyridine,) have been carried out. These ligands contain a hydrogen atom, with more or less acidic character, in a position suitable for establishing an intramolecular hydrogen bonding interaction with the metal center. This interaction has been detected in solution for; its 1H NMR spectrum shows that the resonance assignable to this hydrogen has platinum satellites. For, this coupling is not observed, and the interaction, if it exists, has to be weaker because of the less acidic character of the hydrogen atom. The 2-aminopyridine ligand is more flexible than the triazene or formamidine, and also in this case, no evidence of the interaction in solution is obtained. Nevertheless, if another potential proton acceptor is present, such as ClO4- in [NBu4]2[Pt(C6F5)3(C5H6N2)](ClO4), a conventional N-H...O-Cl hydrogen bond is formed. The crystal structures of complexes have been determined by X-ray diffraction.  相似文献
