The extraction of micro amounts of cesium by nitrobenzene solutions of sodium, potassium and rubidium dicarbollylcobaltates (M+B;M+=Na+,K+,Rb+) has been investigated in the presence of 2,3-naphtho-15-crown-5 (N15C5, L). The equilibrium data were explained by assuming that ML+ and ML2+ complexes (M+=Na+,K+,Rb+, Cs+; L=N15C5) were present in the organic phase. The stability constants of the complex species ML+ and ML2+ have been determined in nitrobenzene saturated with water. It was found that the stability of the complex cation ML+ (where M+=Na+,K+,Rb+, Cs+; L=N15C5) in water-saturated nitrobenzene solutions increases along the series Cs+<Rb+<K+<Na+, whereas that of the species ML2+ in the same medium increases in the order Cs+<Rb+<Na+<K+.  相似文献

From extraction experiments and γ-activity measurements, the exchange extraction constants corresponding to the general equilibrium M+(aq)+NaL+(nb)⇄ML+(nb)+Na+(aq) taking place in the two-phase water-nitrobenzene system (M+=Li+, K+, Rb+, Cs+; L=dibenzo-24-crown-8; aq=aqueous phase, nb=nitrobenzene phase) were evaluated. Further, the stability constants of the ML+ complexes in nitrobenzene saturated with water were calculated; they were found to increase in the Cs+Rb+L+Na+ order.  相似文献

From extraction experiments with 22Na tracer, the exchange extraction constants corresponding to the NH4 +(aq) + NaL+ (nb)NH4L+(nb) + Na+ (aq) equilibrium taking place in the two-phase water-nitrobenzene system (L = 18-crown-6, dicyclohexyl-18-crown-6, dibenzo-18-crown-6 and dibenzo-24-crown-8; aq = aqueous phase, nb = nitrobenzene phase) were evaluated. Furthermore, the stability constants of the NH4L+ complexes in nitrobenzene saturated with water were calculated; they were found to increase in the order dibenzo-24-crown-8 (DB24C8) < dibenzo-18-crown-6 (DB18C6) < dicyclohexyl-18-crown-6 (DCH18C6) < 18-crown-6 (18C6).  相似文献

The complexation reactions between dibenzo-24-crown-8 (DB24C8) and K+, Rb+, Cs+ and Tl+ ions were studied conductometrically in different acetonitrile–nitromethane mixtures at various temperatures. The formation constants of the resulting 1:1 complexes were calculated from the computer fitting of the molar conductance–mole ratio data at different temperatures. At 25 °C and in all solvent mixtures used, the stability of the resulting complexes varied in the order Tl+ > K+ > Rb+ > Cs+. The enthalpy and entropy changes of the complexation reactions were evaluated from the temperature dependence of formation constants. It was found that the stability of the resulting complexes increased with increasing nitromethane in the solvent mixture. The TΔS° vs. ΔH° plot of all thermodynamic data obtained shows a fairly good linear correlation indicating the existence of enthalpy–entropy compensation in the complexation reactions.  相似文献

The constants for overall extraction into various diluents of low dielectric constants (Kex) and aqueous ion-pair formation (KMLA) of dibenzo-18-crown-6 (DB18C6)–sodium and potassium perchlorate 1:1:1 complexes (MLA) were determined at 25°C. The Kex value was analyzed by the four underlying equilibrium constants. The KMLA values were determined by applying our established method to this DB18C6/alkali metal perchlorate extraction system. The KM(DB18C6)A value of the perchlorate is much greater for K+ than for Na+, and is much smaller than that of the picrate. The KMLA value makes a negative contribution to the extractability of DB18C6 for MClO4, whereas the value of the MLA distribution-constant does a major one. The partition behavior of M(DB18C6)ClO4 obeys the regular solution theory. However, the M(DB18C6)ClO4 complexes in the diluent of high dipole moment somewhat undergo the dipole–dipole interaction. DB18C6 always shows high extraction selectivity for KClO4 over NaClO4, which is governed largely by the much greater KMLA value for K+ than for Na+. The K+ extraction-selectivity of DB18C6 over Na+ for perchlorate ions is comparable to that for picrate ions. By comparing this perchlorate system with the picrate one, the anion effects on the extraction-efficiency and -selectivity of DB18C6 for Na+ and K+ was discussed in terms of the fundamental equilibrium constants.  相似文献

A thermodynamic study of the association of Na+, K+, Rb+, and Cs+ with dicyclohexano-18-crown-6 in acetonitrile has been carried out at 308, 303, 298, 293, and 288 K using a conductometric technique. The observed molar conductivities, A, were found to decrease significantly for mole ratios less than unity. A model involving 11 stoichiometry has been used to analyze the conductivity data. The stability constant,K, and the limiting molar conductivity, A c , for each 11 complex were determined from the conductivity data by using a nonlinear least squares curve fitting procedure. The binding sequence, based on the value of logK at 298 K, as derived from this study is K+>Na+>Rb+>Cs+. Values of H o and S o are reported and their significance is discussed.  相似文献

The decrease in the molar electrolytic conductance of Na+, K+, Rb+, and Cs+ tetraphenylborates, caused by the addition of benzo-15-crown-5 in acetonitrile at constant ionic strength, is analyzed according to a model involving 1:1 stoichiometry. The stability constant,K, and the limiting molar conductivity, c , for each 1:1 complex are determined from the conductance measurements by using a nonlinear least squares curve fitting procedure. The stability sequence of the 1:1 complexes, as deduced from data at 288, 293, 298, 303, and 308 K, has the order Na+>K+>Rb+>Cs+. Values of H 0, S 0, and c at 298 K are reported and their significance is discussed.  相似文献

Formation constants of 1 : 1 19-crown-6(19C6) complexes with alkali metal ions weredetermined conductometrically at 25 °Cin acetonitrile(AN), propylene carbonate (PC), methanol, DMF, andDMSO. 19C6 always forms the most stable complex withK+. The selectivity order of 19C6 forheavy alkali metal ions isK+ > Rb+ > Cs+.The selectivity for Na+ varies withthe solvent; that for Li+ is the second lowest(AN, DMSO) or the lowest (PC). Transfer activity coefficients(SH 2 O) of19C6 from water to the nonaqueous solvents (S) weremeasured at 25 °C. The contributions of a methylenegroup and an ether oxygen atom to thelog SH 2 Ovalue of a crown ether wereobtained. The SH 2 Ovalues of the 19C6–alkali metal ion complexes(SH 2 O (ML+)) werecalculated, M+ and L denoting an alkali metal ionand a crown ether, respectively. For AN, PC, andCH3OH, although the M+ ion is more stronglysolvated by water than by AN, PC, or CH3OH, thelog SH 2 O (ML+) islarger than the correspondinglog SH 2 O (L)expect for the case of M+ = Li+.The higher lipophilicity of the19C6 complex ion is attributed to an enforcement ofthe hydrogen-bonded structure of water for the complexion caused by the greatly decreased hydrogen bondingbetween ether oxygen atoms and water uponcomplexation. For DMF and DMSO, thelog SH 2 O (ML+) is also greater thanthe correspondinglog SH 2 O (L).It was concluded from thisfinding that the unexpectedly lowest stability of the19C6 complex ion in water is due to the hydrogenbonding between 19C6 and water. The stabilities and thelog SH 2 Oof 19C6–alkali metal ion complexes were compared with those of 18C6complexes.  相似文献

Sodium salicylate (NaSal where Sal=2-hydroxybenzoate), when mixed with dibenzo-24-crown-8 (DB24C8) yields a bimetallic complex [NaSal]2DB24C8 in most polar organic media, while potassium salicylate (KSal) under similar conditions shows a tendency to yield 11 or 21 complexes depending upon medium or synthesis. However, the presence of both NaSal and KSal together results in a unique mixed cation complex of composition NaKSal2DB24C8. This product melts sharply (190-92°C) without decomposition, displays IR spectral characteristics comparable to those of [Na(Sal)]2DB24C8, and is stable in aqueous media as shown by the detectable cation effect on the UV absorption bands of Sal and DB24C8. Single crystal X-ray analysis of NaK(Sal)2DB24C8 reveals that the system represents a co-crystallization complex of individual (KSal)2DB24C8 and (NaSal)2DB24C8 molecules. The crystals are monoclinic,P21/c,a=19.976(2) Å,b=9.031(1) Å,c=25.541(5) Å,=122.065(9)°, Å3,T=298 K,Z=2+2, CuK =1.5418 Å, and 2 (2.5°–100°). FinalR factor for the 3012 observed reflections (F>3) is 0.092. Both the Na2- and K2-molecules possess crystallographic centers of symmetry with one metal and its associated anion on each side of the crown ring. However, the conformations of the crowns are very different in the two molecules, with the K2-crown being nearly planar and the Na2-crown being quite puckered. Four oxygen atoms from the DB24C8 (KO, 2.680–2.908 Å) and three carboxyl oxygen atoms (KO, 2.472–2.708 Å) from separate salicylate ions coordinate with each potassium. Three oxygens from the crown (NaO, 2.536–2.65 Å) and three carboxyl oxygens (NaO, 2.31–2.563 Å) coordinate with each sodium. The salicylate ions lie on opposite sides and nearly perpendicular (77.2°, Na2-molecule; 82.7° K2-molecule) to each crown but coordinate to both of the metal ions within a molecule. The K+K+ and Na+Na+ distances in the respective molecules are 3.95 and 3.34 Å. A new compound, aqua(dibenzo-18-crown-6)potassium (dibenzo-18-crown-6)(perchlorato-O)potassium perchlorate ([K(DB18C6)(H2O)]+ · [K(ClO4)(DB18C6)] · ClO 4 ? ; compound I) is synthesized and studied by X-ray crystallography. The crystals are triclinic: a = 9.050 Å, b = 9.848 Å, c = 26.484 Å, α = 82.87°, β = 84.16°, γ = 77.93°, Z = 2, space group P $\bar 1$ . The structure is solved by a direct method and refined by the full-matrix least-squares method in the anisotropic approximation to R = 0.058 for 5960 independent reflections (CAD4 diffractometer, λMoK α radiation). A complex cation [K(DB18C6)(H2O)]+ and a complex molecule [K(ClO4)(DB18C6)] are of the host-guest type; they are linked into a dimer through two K+ → π(C) bonds formed by one of the two K+ cations with two C atoms of the benzene ring of the DB18C6 ligand from the adjacent complex. Both DB18C6 ligands in I have a butterfly conformation with approximate symmetry C 2v .  相似文献

Résumé The interactions of Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, and Cs+ with the double-crown calix, calix[4]arene-bis-crown-6, have been studied in methanol, acetonitrile, and propylene carbonate at 25°C using precise conductivity measurements. For Li+ and Na+ in solutions containing this calix[4]arene, only 1:1 cation:ligand complexes are formed which permit the determination of the thermodynamic complexation formation constants,K f. The conductivity data strongly suggest that 2:1 cationcalixarene complexes form with K+, Rb+, and Cs+. The existence of 2:1 complexes was experimentally confirmed for the potassium systems by a mass spectroscopic method.  相似文献

Extraction of microamounts of calcium by a nitrobenzene solution of hydrogen dicarbollylcobaltate (H+B) in the presence of dibenzo-21-crown-7 (DB21C7) and dibenzo-24-crown-8 (DB24C8) has been investigated. The equilibrium data have been explained assuming that the complexes HL+, CaL2+, CaL22+ and CaHL23+ (L = DB21C7, DB24C8) are extracted into the organic phase. The values of extraction and stability constants of the species in nitrobenzene saturated with water have been determined.  相似文献

The stability constants and the partial molal volume and isentropic partial molal compressibility changes of complex formation between cations and crown ethers in water at 25°C are presented. The cations involved are Na+, K+, Rb+, Cs+, Ca2+, and Ba2+, and the crown ethers are 12-crown-4, 15-crown-5, and 18-crown-6. Values of V of complex formation have been discussed in terms of two simple models, one based on the scaled particle theory, and the others on the Drude-Nernst continuum model. The results indicate that the charge of the potassium cation in 18-crown-6 is especially well screened from the water. On this basis hydration numbers of complexed cations have been calculated. This shows that the size of the cation compared to the crown ether hole is important for the contacts between complexed cations and water.  相似文献

The predominant participation of anions of sorbed electrolytes in electrical charge transfer in polymers was demonstrated based on measurement of the transport numbers of Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, Cs+, Tl+, and NO3 ions through homogeneous polymer membranes containing dibenzo-18-crown-6 or dibenzo-24-crown-8. The coordination reaction of the cations with the crown ethers in the polymer phase is the cause of the decrease in the proportion of cations in electrical charge transfer.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 2, pp. 310–314, February, 1990.  相似文献
