The proposed homonuclear coupling sign edited (HCSE) experiment can detect signed homonuclear couplings between low abundant nuclei like 13C, 29Si and 15N in linear spin systems, that is, in systems where two nuclei are coupled by the measured coupling, and one of them is coupled by a second coupling to a nucleus of different kind. The third nucleus is usually high abundant hydrogen. Two spectra are measured during the HCSE experiment. Their weighed sum and difference yield two other spectra, one containing peaks coupled only by positive measured couplings and the other having peaks coupled by negative measured couplings. The usual E.COSY‐type experiment requires all three couplings in the three spin system (triangular spin system) and not only two couplings as the HCSE experiment. The experiment was successfully tested on known carbon–carbon and silicon–silicon two bond couplings. A set of six simple siloxanes with |2J(Si‐O‐Si)| couplings ranging from 0.5 to 9.0 Hz was measured for the first time, and all the couplings were found to be positive. A modification of double quantum–zero quantum (DQ—ZQ) experiment termed single‐quantum–single‐quantum (SQ—SQ) experiment is proposed for the determination of relative signs and magnitudes of coupling constants. The modification replaces the multiple‐quantum evolution period by two synchronously incremented single‐quantum periods. Similarly to DQ—ZQ experiment, the sequence requires only two coupling constants that share one nucleus, the one to be measured and a reference one. This allows application to a larger variety of molecular fragments than traditional 2D sequences producing E.COSY or TROSY pattern. The SQ—SQ experiment eliminates the effects of some other couplings during t1, thereby simplifying the 2D pattern and increasing the signal intensity in comparison with DQ—ZQ experiment. The presented sequence is particularly designed for the determination of silicon–carbon coupling constants across several bonds at natural abundance using silicon–hydrogen couplings as the sign reference. The signs of silicon–carbon couplings across two and three bonds in dimethyl(phenoxy)silane which cannot be detected by traditional methods and which have not yet been determined are established by the SQ—SQ method here: 2J(Si,C) = +2.2 Hz and 3J(Si,C) = ?1.7 Hz. The gradient pulse sequences for measurement of small long‐range couplings between heteronuclei (29Si? 13C) in natural abundance reported to date (INEPT‐(Si,C)gCOSY and INEPT‐(Si,C,Si)HMQC) suffer from significant signal loss when these nuclei (29Si, 13C) are coupled through one‐bond couplings to protons. This negative effect can be completely eliminated by using non‐gradient versions (INEPT‐(Si,C)COSY) or by switching proton decoupling off during gradient pulses (modified INEPT‐(Si,C,Si)gHMQC pulse sequence). The beneficial effects of these two approaches on the quality of the spectra are demonstrated here. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The lines in (29)Si NMR spectra of silylated polyphenols and some other compounds are difficult to assign owing to the absence of couplings with protons outside the silyl group. The assignment can be derived through small (n)J((29)Si, (13)C) couplings (n > 1). Using a previously described method for measurements of these couplings, the assignment procedure is demonstrated here on three examples of trimethylsilylated phenols: 7-hydroxyflavone, ferulic acid, and quercetin. In some cases the procedure can be used to identify carbon atoms to which the siloxy groups are attached.  相似文献

29Si NMR spectra of 29 Si‐alkylsubstituted derivatives of 1,3,5‐trisilacyclohexanes have been recorded and analyzed. A systematic preparation of alkyl derivatives with mixed substituents made it possible to evaluate substituent‐induced chemical shift (SCS) values for the ring silicon atoms in α and γ position. It is found that the equatorial α‐effect increases in the order Me < Et < i‐Pr < t‐Bu. For the alkyl groups Me, Et, and i‐Pr the axial α‐effect is similar in magnitude to the αe‐effect. Axial SCS values for the t‐Bu group are not accessible because chair conformations with an axial t‐Bu group are energetically unfavourable and escape into a twisted boat form. The observed γ‐effects exhibit the γgauche‐effect for axial substituents as known from compounds with a pure carbon framework.  相似文献

The absolute values of spin-spin couplings between (29)Si nuclei in siloxanes, (2)J((29)Si-O-(29)Si), were determined. The couplings are small and cover a narrow range of values (0-5 Hz). The coupling constants depend on the branching or on the number of electronegative substituents on the Si-O-Si moiety.  相似文献

Signed values of all intra‐ring 2,3,4J(C,C) couplings in nine monosubstituted benzenes (C6H5‐X where X = F, Cl, Br, CH3, OCH3, Si(CH3)3, C ≡ N, NO, NO2) are experimentally determined as well as nine couplings to substituent carbons. It is confirmed that while all the vicinal intra‐ring 3J(C,C) are positive and all geminal 2J(C2,C4) are negative, both signs are found for geminal 2J(C1,C3) couplings. All the determined signs agree with those already predicted by theoretical calculations. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Seleno‐carbohydrates are those in which the oxygen of the glycosidic bond or the hydroxyl group is artificially replaced with selenium. This substitution changes 1H and 13C chemical shifts and produces spin coupling constants involving 77Se. Coupling constants, such as 2‐3J(77Se, 1H), are likely to be useful for conformational analyses of glycans because such couplings are never observed in natural glycans. Several papers have discussed the relationship between 2‐3J(77Se, 1H) and conformation; however, only few reports describe 1‐3J(77Se, 13C), which could also be useful. Here, we obtain 77Se coupling constants of seleno‐carbohydrates from 77Se‐selective HR‐HMBC and 77Se satellites in 1D 13C spectra and examine their conformations using the Newman projection scheme.  相似文献

The measurement of the magnitude and sign of 2J(C,H) couplings offers a reliable way to determine the absolute configuration at a carbon center in a fixed cyclic system. A decrease of the dihedral angle ? in the O—CA—CB—H fragment always leads to a change of the 2J(CA,HB) coupling to more negative values, independent of the type and position of substituents at the two carbon centers. The orientations of the two substituents at C‐3 of the epimeric pair 1 and 2 were determined unambiguously through the measurement of the geminal coupling constants between C‐3 and the hydrogen atoms at C‐2 and C‐4. In particular, 2J(C‐3,H‐2ax) with ?1.5 Hz, ? = 174° in 1 and ?6.6 Hz, ? = 47° in 2 , and 2J(C‐3,H‐4) with +1.5 Hz, ? = 175° in 1 and ?4.7 Hz, ? = 49° in 2 showed the greatest differences between the two epimers. Both couplings therefore allow the determination of the absolute configuration at C‐3. It should be noted, however, that the size of the coupling constants can be different for dihedral angles of nearly identical size, when there are different numbers of electronegative substituents on the two coupling pathways, i.e. no O‐substituent at C‐2, but one axial O‐substituent at C‐4. It becomes clear that it is not sufficient to measure the magnitude of 2J coupling constants only, but that the sign of the geminal coupling is needed to identify the absolute configuration at a chiral center. The coupling of C‐3 with H‐2eq is not useful for the determination of the configuration at C‐3, as the similarity of the dihedral angles ? (O—C‐3—C‐2—H‐2eq) (57° in 1 and 70° in 2 ) leads to identical coupling constants (?6.1 Hz) for both epimers. Copyright © 2003 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

29Si-13C couplings were measured in para substituted silylated phenols, X--C6H4--O--SiR1R2R3 (X = NO2, CF3, Cl, F, H, CH3, CH3O). The SiR1R2R3 silyl groups included trimethylsilyl (Si(CH3)3, TMS), tert-butyldimethylsilyl (Si(CH3)2C(CH3)3, TBDMS), dimethylsilyl (SiH(CH3)2, DMS), and tert- butyldiphenylsilyl (Si(C6H5)2C(CH3)3, TBDPS). Previously developed (Si,C,Si)gHMQC methods and narrow 29Si lines allowed the determination of coupling constants over up to five bonds. Besides the number of intervening bonds between the silicon and carbon atoms, all the measurable couplings depend also on the nature of the substituents on the silicon. The two- and three-bond couplings are not affected by ring substitution in the para position. These properties render the 29Si-13C couplings suitable for line assignment in the spectra of silylated polyphenols. The experimental results are in reasonable agreement with theoretical calculations. The calculations show, in agreement with the data reported in the literature for couplings between other nuclei, that the two-bond and three-bond couplings, which are of similar magnitudes, are of opposite signs. If the signs of these geminal and vicinal couplings could be determined experimentally, they would greatly facilitate the line assignment. The four- and five-bond couplings are affected by the substituent X in a nontrivial manner.  相似文献

The computational study of the one‐bond 29Si–13C spin–spin coupling constants has been performed at the second‐order polarization propagator approximation (SOPPA) level in the series of 60 diverse silanes with a special focus on the main factors affecting the accuracy of the calculation including the level of theory, the quality of the basis set, and the contribution of solvent and relativistic effects. Among three SOPPA‐based methods, SOPPA(MP2), SOPPA(CC2), and SOPPA(CCSD), the best result was achieved with SOPPA(CCSD) when used in combination with Sauer's basis set aug‐cc‐pVTZ‐J characterized by the mean absolute error of calculated coupling constants against the experiment of ca 2 Hz in the range of ca 200 Hz. The SOPPA(CCSD)/aug‐cc‐pVTZ‐J method is recommended as the most accurate and effective computational scheme for the calculation of 1J(Si,C). The slightly less accurate but essentially more economical SOPPA(MP2)/aug‐cc‐pVTZ‐J and/or SOPPA(CC2)/aug‐cc‐pVTZ‐J methods are recommended for larger molecular systems. It was shown that solvent and relativistic corrections do not play a major role in the computation of the total values of 1J(Si,C); however, taking them into account noticeably improves agreement with the experiment. The rovibrational corrections are estimated to be of about 1 Hz or 1–1.5% of the total value of 1J(Si,C). Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Para‐hydrogen–induced polarization effects have been observed in the 29Si NMR spectra of trimethylsilyl para‐hydrogenated molecules. The high signal enhancements and the long T1 values observed for the 29Si hyperpolarized resonances point toward the possibility of using 29Si for hyperpolarization applications. A method for the discrimination of multiple compounds and/or complex mixtures of hydroxylic compounds (such as steroids), consisting of the silylization of alcoholic functionalities with an unsaturated silylalkyl moiety and subsequent reaction with para‐H2, is proposed. Infinite dilution 29Si and 13C NMR chemical shifts were determined from concentration dependencies of the shifts in dilute chloroform and acetone solutions of para substituted O‐silylated phenols, 4‐R‐C6H4‐O‐SiR′2R″ (R = Me, MeO, H, F, Cl, NMe2, NH2, and CF3), where the silyl part included groups of different sizes: dimethylsilyl (R′ = Me, R″ = H), trimethylsilyl (R′ = R″ = Me), tert‐butyldimethylsilyl (R′ = Me, R″ = CMe3), and tert‐butyldiphenylsilyl (R′ = C6H5, R″ = CMe3). Dependencies of silicon and C‐1 carbon chemical shifts on Hammett substituent constants are discussed. It is shown that the substituent sensitivity of these chemical shifts is reduced by association with chloroform, the reduction being proportional to the solvent accessible surface of the oxygen atom in the Si‐O‐C link. N‐(trialkoxysilylalkyl) derivatives of 1,2,3,4‐tetrahydroquinoline, 1,2,3,4‐tetrahydroisoquinoline and 4,4‐dimethyl‐4‐sila‐1,2,3,4‐tetrahydroisoquinoline were prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, 1H, 13C and 29Si NMR spectroscopy. In vivo psychotropic properties and in vitro cytotoxic effects of 3‐[N‐(1,2,3,4‐tetrahydroisoquinolyl)]propyltriethoxysilane methiodide and 3‐[N‐(1,2,3,4‐tetrahydroisoquinolyl)]propylsilatrane are reported. Comparative study of 29Si shifts in newly synthesized compounds suggested donor–acceptor interaction between nitrogen and silicon atom, which increased electron density at Si nuclei, revealing a stronger increment of N → Si transannular bond in comparison with N → Si α‐effect. The molecular structure of 3‐[N‐(1,2,3,4‐tetrahydroisoquinolyl)]propylsilatrane features a penta‐coordinate silicon atom having CSiO3 pattern and Si…N intramolecular interaction. New 6,6‐dimethyl‐2‐oxo‐4‐{2‐[5‐alkylsilyl(germyl)]furan(thiophen)‐2‐yl}vinyl‐5,6‐dihydro‐2H‐pyran‐3‐carbonitriles (IC50: 1–6 µg ml?1) have been prepared by the condensation of corresponding silicon‐ and germanium‐containing furyl(thienyl)‐2‐carbaldehydes with 3‐cyano‐4,6,6‐trimethyl‐5,6‐dihydropyran‐2‐one using piperidine acetate as a catalyst. The obtained carbonitriles were identified using NMR (1H, 13C and 29Si) spectroscopy and GC‐MS. The structure of 6,6‐dimethyl‐2‐oxo‐4‐[2‐(5‐trimethylsilyl)thiophen‐2‐yl]‐5,6‐dihydro‐2H‐pyran‐3‐carbonitrile was studied using X‐ray diffractometry. The influences of the heterocycle and the structure of the organoelement substituent on cytotoxicity and on matrix metalloproteinase inhibition have been studied. Synthesis, Crystal Structure and Solid‐State NMR Spectroscopic Investigation of the Oxonitridosilicate BaSi6N8O The phase‐pure oxonitridosilicate BaSi6N8O has been synthesized starting from BaCO3 and silicon diimide Si(NH)2 in a radiofrequency furnace at temperatures below 1630 °C as a coarsely crystalline colorless material. The structure has been determined by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis (BaSi6N8O, space group Imm2 (no. 44), a = 810.5(2), b = 967.8(2), c = 483.7(1) pm, V = 379.4(2)·106 pm3, Z = 2, R1 = 0.014, 618 independent reflections, 44 parameters). The oxonitridosilicate comprises a three‐dimensional network structure of corner sharing SiN4 and SiON3 tetrahedra with Ba2+ located in the resulting voids. BaSi6N8O is isostructural with the oxonitridoalumosilicate (sialon) Sr2AlxSi12?xN16?xO2+x (x ≈ 2) that previously has been described in the literature. Furthermore, the anionic network of BaSi6N8O derives from that of the homeotypic reduced nitridosilicate SrSi6N8 by a topotactic insertion of oxygen into the Si–Si single bonds. In the 29Si MAS‐NMR spectrum two sharp isotropic signals have been observed at ?54.0 and ?56.3 ppm, respectively. With respect to their observed intensity ratio of 1 : 2.1(1) these two signals have to be attributed to the central atoms of SiON3 and SiN4 tetrahedra, respectively, which is in accordance with the X‐ray crystal structure determination (Si at Wyckoff positions 4d (SiON3) and 8e (SiN4)).  相似文献

Well defined E/Z isomers of N‐methoxy‐p‐nitrobenzimidoyl chloride, N‐methoxybenzimidoyl chloride, methyl N‐methylbenzohydroximate and ethyl N‐hydroxybenzimidate were prepared in order to provide model data for studies of benzhydroximic acid derivatives and related compounds. NMR parameters [1H, 13C and 15N chemical shifts and 1J(13C, 13C) coupling constants] were determined. The results show that stereochemically most significant are the values of 1J(13C, 13C) couplings between aromatic Cipso and C?N carbons and that the relationship, |Jcis| > |Jtrans|, known for this coupling from oximes, is not affected by electronegative substituents at the C?N carbon atom, but the values are. A new version of the two-dimensional INADEQUATE experiment was designed for detection of small couplings between equivalent carbon atoms separated in the molecule by several bonds, where other techniques fail due to rich line splitting and mutual peak cancellation in many molecules. As the proposed method is suitable for detection of couplings in strongly coupled systems in general, we propose the name STRONG INADEQUATE in the paper. Similar to other methods for detection of couplings between equivalent carbons, the STRONG INADEQUATE experiment utilizes one-bond carbon–proton coupling for creation of the effective chemical shift differences. The STRONG INADEQUATE experiment works superbly for nJCC, where n ≥ 3. Then the F1 pattern is reduced to a simple antiphase doublet with nJCC separation, and this pattern is also preserved when a symmetrical HC···C′H′ system is coupled to other protons. Even in the measurement of 2JCC couplings, the STRONG INADEQUATE experiment generates a much simpler pattern than the original pulse sequences for measurement of couplings between equivalent carbons.  相似文献

In this study, we report the substituent effect on the structures, frontier orbital analysis, and spectroscopic properties (IR , 13C , 29Si NMR ) in the molybdenum silylidyne complexes CpMo (CO )2(≡Si‐para ‐C6H4X ) (X = H, F, Cl, CN , NO2 , Me, OMe , NH2 , NHMe ) using MPW1PW91 quantum chemical calculations. The calculated structural parameters and spectral parameters are compatible with the experimental values in similar complexes. The nature of the chemical bond between the [Cp(OC ) 2Mo ] and [Si‐para ‐C6H4X ]+ fragments was explored with energy decomposition analysis (EDA ). The percentage composition in terms of the defined groups of frontier orbitals for CpMo (CO )2(≡Si‐para ‐C6H4X ) complexes was investigated to explore the character of the metal–ligand bonds. The linear correlations between the properties and Hammett constants (σ p) were illustrated. Natural bond orbital analysis (NBO ) was used to illustrate the electronic structure of the complexes.  相似文献

We followed the reactivity of acetone with 3‐aminopropyltrimethoxysilane, a potential organosilane coupling agent, by 1H, 13C and 29Si NMR spectroscopy. Selective 1D and 2D‐edited NMR experiments significantly contributed to simplify the spectral complexity of reaction solution and elucidated molecular structures within progressive reaction phases. The course of the 3‐aminopropyltrimethoxysilane reaction with acetone was shown by a progressive decrease of both reactants, and a concomitant appearance of water and methanol, due to formation of imine and hydrolysis of alkoxysilane groups, respectively. The occurrence of multiple siloxane linkages in a progressively larger cross‐linked macromolecular structure was revealed by DOSY‐NMR experiments and new signals in 29Si‐NMR spectra at different reaction times. The NMR approach described here may be applied to investigate the reactivity of other γ‐aminopropylalkoxysilanes and contribute to define procedures for the preparation of silica‐based materials.
