Solvent‐free oxidative synthesis of benzimidazoles, benzoxazoles and benzothiazoles from aromatic alcohols and o‐phenylenediamine, o‐aminophenol and o‐aminothiophenol has been achieved by using CuCl, 2,2′‐bipyridine and TEMPO (2,2,6,6‐tetramethylpiperidine‐1‐oxyl). The reaction proceeds via a dehydrogenation in open air at room temperature, and a wide variety of derivatives were obtained in good to excellent yields. The reaction mechanism was proposed and this method provides a mild and efficient access to substituted benzimidazoles, benzoxazoles and benzothiazoles. A new and efficient method for the synthesis of benzoxazoles, benzothiazoles, benzimidazoles from reactions of o‐substituted aminoaromatics with orthoesters in the presence of catalytic amounts of Ga(OTf)3 under solvent‐free conditions is presented. The remarkable features of this new protocol are high conversion, very short reaction times, cleaner reaction profiles under solvent‐free conditions, straight forward procedure, and use of relatively non‐toxic catalysts.  相似文献

Summary. A series of benzoxazoles, benzothiazoles, benzimidazoles, and oxazolo[4,5-b]pyridines was efficiently synthesized from the reactions of o-aminophenols, o-aminothiophenol, o-phenylenediamines, and 2-amino-3-hydroxypyridine with orthoesters in the presence of catalytic amounts of Bi(III) salts, such as Bi(TFA)3, Bi(OTf)3, and BiOClO4 · xH2O under solvent-free conditions. The remarkable features of this new protocol are high conversion, very short reaction times, cleaner reaction profiles under solvent-free conditions, straightforward procedure, and use of relatively non-toxic catalysts.  相似文献

A facile synthetic route for benzimidazoles, benzothiazoles and benzoxazoles comprising the reaction of corresponding o-phenylenediamine, o-aminothiophenol and o-aminophenol with various aldehydes using silica supported nano-copper (II) oxide as a catalyst has been described. The catalyst exhibited a clean reaction profile with excellent yields in a short reaction time. The catalyst can be recycled effectively after use.  相似文献

A simple and efficient procedure for the synthesis of benzimidazoles, benzoxazoles, and benzothiazoles via the condensation of o‐phenylenediamine, o‐aminophenol, and o‐aminothiophenol with various benzaldehydes by using magnetic Co‐doped NiFe2O4 nanoparticles has been developed. This nanocatalyst has advantages such as excellent product yields, solvent‐free conditions, and very short reaction times. After any experiment, the magnetic nanocatalyst could be easily separated with the aid of an external magnet and reused at least four times without any loss of its catalytic performance.  相似文献

An efficient and mild protocol has been developed for the preparation of benzimidazoles, benzoxazoles, and benzothiazoles from reactions of aldehydes with o-substituted aminoaromatics in the presence of catalytic amount of Indion 190 resin. Short reaction time, ambient conditions, simple work-up procedure, high yield, easy availability, reusability, and use of an eco-friendly catalyst are some of the striking features of the present protocol.  相似文献

Propylphosphonic anhydride (®T3P) promotes cyclization of o-aminobenzenethiol, o-aminophenol, and o-phenylenediamine with carboxylic acids under microwave irradiation. The one-pot procedure is efficient and allows short reaction times, easy workup, and good yields. A library of benzimidazoles, benzoxazoles, and benzothiazoles was efficiently synthesized by condensation of o-phenylenediamine, o-aminophenol, and o-aminothiophenol respectively with aromatic aldehydes in the presence of catalytic amounts of Animal Bone Meal (ABM) and Lewis acids doped ABMs. Reactions were conducted under reflux conditions in air. An electrochemical synthesis of benzazoles directly from alcohols and o‐substituted anilines has been developed. The reaction conditions have been optimized by varying the composition of the electrolyte and the metal salt used as catalyst. The cyclization proceeds smoothly with a catalytic amount of a cobalt salt under air at room temperature to afford 2‐substituted benzimidazoles, benzothiazoles, and benzoxazoles in good to excellent yields with a wide substrate scope.  相似文献

The irdium-catalyzed intramolecular arylcarbon-hetero cross-coupling reactions with o-haloarylamides or o-haloarylamidine have been effectively achieved using KOAc and just 1 mol% catalyst. The [Ir(cod)Cl]2 was proved to be more potential for smoothly assembling functional structures benzimidazoles, benzoxazoles and benzothiazoles, which was superior to Cu- and Pd-catalyzed systems. A novel acid fluoride for use in the liquid-phase synthesis of substituted benzimidazoles, benzoxazoles and benzothiazoles was developed. Its synthetic utility is exemplified by a structurally diverse set of aromatic heterocycles. Final cleavage is achieved by treatment with sodium methoxide in methanol for 12 h. The corresponding benzimidazoles, benzoxazoles and benzothiazoles were obtained in good isolated yields (22-62%, four steps).  相似文献

Benzimidazole and benzothiazole sugar derivatives Simple aldehydosugars such as 1 or 2 , by reaction with o-phenylenediamine, gave the corresponding benzimidazoles 3 and 4 . Whereas the unperturbed α, β-unsaturated aldehydosugar D gave the benzodiazepine E upon treatment with o-phenylenediamine, the formyl-bearing alkenyl acetals 5 and 8 led, in the same conditions, to the benzimidazoles 6 and 9 respectively or, on reaction with o-aminothiophenol, to the benzothiazoles 7 and 10 respectively. This difference in reactivity is explained by the electrondonor ability of the oxygen atom of the alkenyl acetal function as shown by the 13C-RMN. spectra.  相似文献

Abstract  

A simple and highly efficient method for synthesis of benzoxazoles, benzimidazoles, and oxazolo[4,5-b]pyridines is described. Condensation of orthoesters with o-substituted anilines or 2-amino-3-hydroxypyridine was performed in the presence of catalytic amounts of commercially available, inexpensive, and moisture-stable 1,3-dibromo-5,5-dimethylhydantoin under solvent-free conditions. The corresponding heterocycles were obtained in good to excellent yields. The main advantages of the present procedure are mild reaction conditions, short reaction times, high yields of products, easy work-up, and absence of solvent.  相似文献

An iridium‐catalyzed intramolecular asymmetric allylic dearomatization reaction of benzoxazoles, benzothiazoles, and benzimidazoles was developed. The reaction was found to be compatible with a wide range of five‐membered‐ring electron‐deficient heteroaromatic compounds and furnished the corresponding dearomatized heterocycles in high yield with excellent enantioselectivity.  相似文献

The application of [C12mim]Br ionic liquid/o‐xylene temperature‐dependent biphasic system into the [Imim‐TEMPO][Cl]/O2‐promoted condensation between o‐phenylenediamines, o‐aminophenol or o‐aminothiophenol with aldehydes for preparing benzimidazoles, benzoxazoles or benzothiozoles is described. Several aldehydes and o‐phenylenediamines, o‐aminophenol or o‐aminothiophenol were reacted efficiently to form corresponding products in excellent yields. Both the [Imim‐TEMPO][Cl] and [C12mim]Br could be reused at least eight times without significantly decreasing the catalytic activity.  相似文献

A combinatorial synthetic route yielding benzoxazoles and benzothiazoles is described. The use of o-halophenylisocyanides in the Ugi reaction (U-4CR) followed by a copper-catalyzed cyclization affords the benzoxazole as well as the benzothiazole moiety in good yield and high diversity.  相似文献

A synthesis of bis- and poly(benzimidazoles) as well as bis- and poly(benzothiazoles) was attempted using different protocols. The best results were obtained by employing the reaction of the appropriate bis- or poly(aldehydes) with o-phenylenediamine or 2-aminothiophenol, respectively, in ethanol at reflux in the presence of NaHSO3. The anticancer activities of the synthesized compounds were evaluated against human breast adenocarcinoma cell line (MCF-7), liver cancer cell line (HepG-2), and epithelial colorectal adenocarcinoma cells (CaCO-2). Hexakis(benzothiazole) was found to exhibit the highest activity against HepG-2 and MCF-7 cell lines with IC50 values of 21.16 and 13.25 μM, respectively.  相似文献
