Experimental adsorption isotherms were measured and computer simulations were performed to determine the nature of the H2 gas uptake in the low‐density ptert‐butylcalix[4]arene (tBC) phase. 1H NMR peak intensity measurements for pressures up to 175 bar were used to determine the H2 adsorption isotherm. Weak surface adsorption (up to ≈2 mass % H2) and stronger adsorption (not exceeding 0.25 mass % or one H2 per calixarene bowl) inside the calixarene phase were detected. The latter type of adsorbed H2 molecule has restricted motion and shows a reversible gas adsorption/desorption cycle. Pulsed field gradient (PFG) NMR pressurization/depressurization measurements were performed to study the diffusion of H2 in the calixarene phases. Direct adsorption isotherms by exposure of the calixarene phase to pressures of H2 gas to ≈60 bar are also presented, and show a maximum H2 adsorption of 0.4 H2 per calixarene bowl. Adsorption isotherms of H2 in bulk tBC have been simulated using grand canonical Monte Carlo calculations in a rigid tBC framework, and yield adsorptions of ≈1 H2 per calixarene bowl at saturation. Classical molecular dynamics simulations with a fully flexible calixarene molecular force field are used to determine the guest distribution and inclusion energy of the H2 in the solid with different loadings.  相似文献

A 25,27‐bis(l ‐phenylalaninemethylester‐N‐carbonylmethoxy)‐26,28‐dihydroxy‐ paratert‐butylcalix[4]arene‐bonded silica gel stationary phase was synthesized, structurally characterized and used for LC. Its separation mechanism was studied and compared with octadecyl‐bonded stationary phase, as well as our previously prepared para‐tert‐butylcalix[4]arene‐1,2‐crown‐4 stationary phase. Meanwhile, the chromatographic behaviors were investigated by using polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, monosubstituted benzenes, anilines, phenols, Tanaka tests solutes, fluoroquinolones, and flavonoids as probes. Mechanisms involved in the chromatographic separation included hydrophobic, π‐π and π‐electron transfer, hydrogen bonding, and inclusion interactions. Moreover, the column was successfully employed for the analysis of the illegal additive of melamine in milk product.  相似文献

The synthesis of two 1,3‐bis(4‐ethynylbenzyloxy)calix[4]arenes, 5,11,17,23‐tetrakis(1,1‐dimethylethyl)‐25,27‐bis(4‐ethynylbenzyloxy)‐26,28‐dihydroxycalix[4]arene ( 1 ) and 25,27‐bis(4‐ethynylbenzyloxy)‐26,28‐dihydroxycalix[4]arene ( 2 ), was accomplished through Sonogashira coupling of appropriate calixarene derivatives. Methods for the polymerization of these bifunctional building blocks with Rh(I) as a catalyst, leading ultimately to conjugated polymers having calix[4]arene units incorporated into the main chain, were explored. Calixarenes 1 and 2 were efficiently polymerized with rhodium‐based initiators and afforded the conjugated polymers poly{5,11,17,23‐tetrakis(1,1‐dimethylethyl)‐25,27‐bis(4‐ethynylbenzyloxy)‐26,28‐dihydroxycalix[4]arene} ( poly 1 ) and poly{25,27‐bis(4‐ethynylbenzyloxy)‐26,28‐dihydroxycalix[4]arene}. Depending on the conditions, high conversions and good yields were obtained. The effects of adding cocatalysts (NHEt2 and/or PPh3) were studied in connection with the number‐average molecular weight and the molecular weight distribution of the resultant polymer ( poly 1 ) and tentatively correlated with the formation of low‐molecular‐weight materials. A catalytic system containing triphenylphosphine as the sole additive ([Rh(nbd)Cl]2; [Rh]/[PPh3] = 0.5) proved to be the best for the polymerization of ptert‐butylcalixarene compound 1 . Linear polymers having high number‐average molecular weights (up to 1.1 × 105 g mol?1) with low polydispersities were produced under these conditions. For debutylated homologue 2 , its polymerization was best carried out in the absence of any added cocatalyst. A cyclopolymerization route, comprising the intramolecular ring closing of the calix[4]arene pendant ethynyl groups followed by an intermolecular propagation step, is advanced to explain the results. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Five novel Schiff's bases p‐tert‐butylcalix[4]arenes have been synthesized in high yields by the reaction of 1,3‐distally disubstituted p‐tert‐butylcalix[4]arene amine (1) with the corresponding aromatic aldehydes, and their cation binding abilities and selectivities with alkali and heavy metal ions have been evaluated by solvent extraction of aqueous metal picrates to show the highest Ag+ extractability for Schiff's base p‐tert‐butylcalix[4]arene (6) and the best Na+/Li+ and Ag+/Ti+ selectivities for Schiff's base p‐tert‐butylcalix[4]arene (4 and 2) over any other calix[4]arene derivatives, respectively.  相似文献

New photoreactive calixarene derivatives containing spiro ortho ester groups (calixarenes 3a–3c ) were synthesized by the reaction of 2‐bromomethyl‐1,4,6‐trioxaspiro[4.4]nonane with 2,8,14,20‐tetramethyl‐4,6,10,12,16,18,22,24‐octakis(carboxymethoxy)calix[4]resorcinarene, 5,11,17,23,29,35‐hexamethyl‐37,38,39,40,41,42‐hexakis(carboxymethoxy)calix[6]arene, and 5,11,17,23,29,35,41,47‐octa‐tert‐butyl‐49,50,51,52, 53,54,55,56‐octakis‐(carboxymethoxy)calix[8]arene, which were prepared by the reaction of C‐methylcalix[4]resorcinarene, p‐methylcalix[6]arene, and ptert‐butylcalix[8]arene, respectively. The thermal stability of the obtained calixarene derivatives containing spiro ortho ester groups was examined with thermogravimetric analysis, and it was found that these calixarene derivatives had good thermal stability. The photoinitiated cationic polymerization of spiro ortho ester groups in calixarene derivatives 3a–3c was examined with certain photoacid generators in the film state. Interestingly enough, the reaction of calixarene derivatives did not proceed with only photoirradiation; however, the reaction proceeded smoothly when the photoirradiation was followed by heating. Furthermore, calixarene 3a , composed of a C‐methylcalix[4]resorcinarene structure, showed the highest photochemical reactivity in this reaction system. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Three novel 25,27-dihydroxy-26,28-bis(3-benzylselenopropoxy)-5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butylcalix[4]-arene (2),25,27-dihydroxy-26,28-bis[3-(2-hydroxyethylseleno)propoxy]-5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-calix[4]arene (3) and 25,27-dihydroxy-26,28-bis(3-propylselenoproppxy)-5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-calix[4]arene (4) were synthesized for the comparison of their ion-selectivity in ion-selective electrodes (ISE). X-ray structure of the CH/π complex of 4.CH2Cl2 was elucidated. ISEs based on 2-4 as neutral ionophores were prepared, and their selectivity coefficients for Ag (logKAg,M^pot) were investigated against some main group metal ions and transition metal ones using the fixed interference method (FIM). These ISEs showed excellent Ag^ selectivity over most of the interfering cations examined. It is evident that the stronger Hg^2 interference may not be produced while hard donors (hydroxy) are close to the soft selenium donors.  相似文献

With a variation in reaction conditions, 1, 4‐bis (2‐(2‐chloroethoxy)ethoxy)‐calix[6]arene (3) and l,3,5‐tris(2‐(2‐chloroethoxy) ethoxy)‐calix [6] arene (4) or 4 and 4‐chloroethoxyethoxy‐calix[6]crown‐3 (5) were selectively synthesized from p‐tert‐butyl‐calix [6] arene and 2‐(2‐chloroethoxy)ethyltosylate. l,3–4,6‐p‐tert‐butylcalix[6]‐bis‐crown‐3 (6) with (u,u,u,d,d,d) conformation and 1,3–4,5‐p‐tert‐butylcalix[6]‐biscrown‐3 (7) with self‐anchored (u,u, u, u, u, d) conformation were synthesized through an intramolecularly ring‐closing condensation of 1, 4‐bis (2‐(2‐chloroethoxy)ethoxy)‐p‐tert‐butyl‐calix[6]arene (3) in 25% and 15% yield, respectively. Using 5 instead of 3, only 7 was obtained in 65% high yield. 6 and 7 show different complexation properties toward alkali metal and ammonium ions.  相似文献

Amphiphilic hybrid molecules, in which water‐exposed glycodendrons are attached to a hydrophobic p‐tert‐butylcalix[4]arene scaffold, display strong affinities for both carbohydrate‐binding proteins and polystyrene surfaces (shown schematically). The X-ray crystallographic structure was reported for a dinuclear copper(Ⅱ) complex with a tetraanionic ligand of p-tert-butylsulfonylcalix[4]arene [Cu2L(CH3OH)6]·4CH3OH (H4L=p-tert-butylsuffonylcalix[4]arene). The complex belongs to triclinic system, P1^-- space group, with a = 1.2303(3) nm, b = 1.2377(3) nm, c = 1.3110(3) nm, a =66.862(4)°, β= 67.206(4)°, γ=61.711(3)°, Z= 1, V= 1.5659(7) nm^3, Dc= 1.371 g/cm^3, F(000) = 682,μ(Mo Kα) = 0.883 mm^-1, R1 =0.0325, wR2=0.0870. In this complex, the calix[4]arene acts as a bis-tridentate chelating ligand with the 1,2-alternate conformation.  相似文献

X-射线晶体衍射测定了4-(对叔丁基)硫杂杯[4]芳烃选择性地包合四氟硼酸分子。晶体学数据为:C40H49O4S4BF4,Mr=808.88, 四方锥, 空间群 P4/nmm,a=1.5887(2), b=1.5887(2), c=0.8428(0) nm, V=2.127(2) nm3, Z=2, Dc=1.263 g·cm-3, R1=0.0405, WR[I>2σ(I)]=0.1218. 19F NMR谱中,在-151.4 ppm处出现的峰,证实了四氟硼酸的存在。用Bader的分子中的原子理论方法计算了分子结构中的非共价键相互作用。结果显示,在四氟硼酸包合物中,除了F…H-C氢键作用和阳离子-阴离子的静电作用外,Fδ--Cδ+静电作用的存在也对4-(对叔丁基)硫杂杯[4]芳烃憎水空腔包合氟硼酸分子起到了稳定作用。  相似文献

A dodecaholmium wheel of [Ho12(L)6(mal)4(AcO)4(H2O)14] ( 1 ; mal=malonate) was synthesized by using ptert‐butylsulfonylcalix[4]arene (H4L) as a cluster‐forming ligand. The wheel consists of three fragments of mononuclear A3? ([Ho(L)(mal)(H2O)]3?), trinuclear B3? ([Ho(H2O)2(mal)(Ho(L)(AcO))2]3?), and C3+ ([Ho(H2O)2]3+), and an alternate arrangement of these fragments (A3?? C3+? B3?? C3+? A3?? C3+? B3?? C3+? ) results in a wheel structure. The longest and shortest diameters of the core were estimated to be 17.7562(16) and 13.6810(13) Å, respectively, and the saddle‐shaped molecule possesses a pocketlike cavity inside.  相似文献

The Langmuir monolayer properties of lower rim aromatically substituted calix[4]arenes, 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis(2-naphth-1'-ylacetylaminoethoxy)-26,28-dihydroxylcalix[4]arene (BNAEC), 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert- butyl-25,27-bis(2-benzoylamino ethoxy)-26,28-dihydroxylcalix[4]arene (BBAEC) and 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl- 25,27-bis(2-cinnamoylaminoethoxy)-26,28-dihydroxylcalix[4]arene (BCAEC), have been studied. Film balance measurements and Brewster angle microscopy (BAM) observation demonstrate that all the compounds can form Langmuir monolayers with different molecular limiting areas. BNAEC or BBAEC monolayer is able to form condensed domains during compression, while BCAEC monolayer can never form condensed domain. BNAEC monolayer is more readily to form condensed domain than BBAEC monolayer. Moreover, BNAEC monolayer can form the total condensed phase during compression even when T=28℃, while BBAEC monolayer can not when T 〉 10 ℃. The results imply that different lower rim aromatic substitutions affect essentially the intermolecular interaction and molecular packing in the monolayer at air/water interface.  相似文献

Two calix[4]arene isomers with benzaldehyde moieties, i.e., 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis[2-(o-formyl-phenoxy)ethoxy]-26,28-dihydroxycalix[4]arene (3) and 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis[2-(p-formylphenoxy)-ethoxy]-26,28-dihydroxycalix[4]arene (4), were synthesized according to a newly designed route in high yields, and their crystal structures have been determined by X-ray crystallographic study. The photophysical behavior on complexation of calix[4]arene derivatives 3 and 4 with terbium(Ⅲ) nitrate was investigated in anhydrous acetonitrile at 25℃ by UV-Vis and fluorescence spectroscopies. The crystallographic structure of 3 indicated that the eight oxygen atoms formed a preorganized ionophoric cavity due to intramolecular π-π stacking, which could encapsulate lanthanide ions tightly. In sharp contrast, the compound 4 formed a linear array by intermolecular π-π stacking, hence the oxygen atoms of pendant arms could not coordinate with metal ions, giving a poor binding ability to Tb^3 . The absorption spectra of 3 with Tb^3 showed clearly a new broad intense absorption at 385nm. Interestingly, the narrow emission line spectrum has also been observed for compound 3 with Tb^3 , and the results obtained were discussed from the viewpoint of energy transfer mechanism between host structures and the properties of lanthanide ions.  相似文献

A new type of voltammetric sensor, Langmuir‐Blodgett (LB) film of 5,11,17,23‐tetra‐tert‐butyl‐25,27‐di(3‐thiadiazole‐propanoxy)‐26,28‐dihydroxycalix[4]arene modified glassy carbon electrode (LBTZCA–GCE), was prepared. The electrochemical properties of LBTZCA–GCE were researched in detail and its recognizing mechanism for silver ion in aqueous solution was discussed. Using this voltammetric sensor, a new stripping voltammetric method for determining of Ag+ was erected with good sensitivity, selectivity, reproducibility and recovery. The detection limit was 8×10?9 M at accumulation time of 180 s. By this method, real samples (lake water, tap water and synthesis sample) were analyzed and the results obtained were well satisfactory.  相似文献

The title complex, di­aqua­di­pyridine­lithium (N‐methyl‐ptert‐butyl­dihomo­ammonio­calix­[4]­arene‐κ4O)­dioxouranium(VI) tri­pyridine solvate monohydrate, [Li(C5H5N)2(H2O)2][UO2(C46H58NO4)]·3C5H5N·H2O, contains an `internal' tetraphenoxide‐coordinated uranyl complex of the macrocycle, in which the protonated N atom is involved in an intramolecular hydrogen bond with the uranyl oxo group located in the cavity. The Li+ ion is in a tetrahedral environment and its two water ligands are involved in hydrogen bonds with two phenoxide O atoms, two pyridine mol­ecules and one water mol­ecule. This arrangement is compared with those obtained previously for other homo­aza­calixarenes and also for homo­oxa­calixarenes in the presence of alkali metal hydro­xides.  相似文献

Two new kinds of alanine‐substituted calix[4]arene stationary phases of 5,11,17,23‐p‐tert‐butyl‐25,27‐bis(l ‐alanine‐methylester‐N‐carbonyl‐methoxy)‐26,28‐dihyroxycalix[4]arene‐bonded silica gel stationary phase (BABS4) and 5, 11, 17, 23‐p‐tert‐butyl‐25,26,27,28‐tetra(l ‐alanine‐methylester‐N‐carbonyl‐methoxy)‐calix[4]arene‐bonded silica gel stationary phase (TABS4) were prepared and characterized in the present study. They were compared with each other and investigated in terms of their chromatographic performance by using polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, disubstituted benzene isomers, and mono‐substituted benzenes as solute probes. The results indicated that both BABS4 and TABS4 exhibited multiple interactions with analytes. In addition, the commonly used Tanaka characterization protocol for the evaluation of commercially available stationary phases was applied to evaluate the properties of these two new functionalized calixarene stationary phases. The Tanaka test results were compared with Zorbax Eclipse XDB C18 and Kromasil phenyl columns, respectively. BABS4 has stronger hydrogen‐bonding capacity and ion‐exchange capacity than TABS4, and features weaker hydrophobicity and hydrophobic selectivity. Both of them behave similarly in stereoselectivity. Both BABS4 and TABS4 are weaker than C18 and phenyl stationary phases in hydrophobicity and hydrophobic selectivity.  相似文献

Four p‐tert‐butylcalix[4]arene derivatives with different Schiff base groups at the lower rim were efficiently prepared in three steps. p‐tert‐Butylcalix[4]arene was firstly O‐peralkylated with ω‐haloalkylphthalimide in the system of NaH/DMF to give calixarene tetraalkylphthalimides, which were in turn hydrazinolyzed to give tetraaminoalkylcalixarenes. Then by condensation of the latter with salicylaldehyde and 2‐hydroxy‐1‐naphthaldehyde, a series of calixarene Schiff bases were obtained in satisfying yields. The complexing properties of these Schiff bases for transition metal ions were investigated with UV spectroscopy.  相似文献

Two new salts of the cation [CuI(dmp)2]+ (dmp is 2,9‐dimeth­yl‐1,10‐phenanthroline, C14H12N2), namely bis­[bis­(2,9‐dimeth­yl‐1,10‐phenanthroline‐κ2N,N′)copper(I)] bis­(hexa­fluorophos­phate) hemi[bis­(4‐pyridylmethyl­idene)hydrazine] acetonitrile solvate, [Cu(C14H12N2)2]2(PF6)2·0.5C12H10N4·C2H3N or [Cu(dmp)2]2(PF6)2·0.5(bpmh)·CH3CN [bpmh is bis­(4‐pyridylmethyl­idene)hydrazine, C12H10N4], (I), and bis­(2,9‐dimeth­yl‐1,10‐phenanthroline‐κ2N,N′)copper(I) dicyanamide, [Cu(C14H12N2)2](C2N3) or [Cu(dmp)2][N(CN)2], (II), are reported. The Cu—N bond lengths and the distortion from idealized tetra­hedral geometry of the dmp ligands are discussed and compared with related compounds. The bpmh molecule in (I) is π–π stacked with a dmp ligand at a distance of 3.4 Å, rather than coordinated to the metal atom. The molecule lies across an inversion center in the crystal. In (II), the normally coordinated dicyanamide mol­ecule is present as an uncoordinated counter‐ion.  相似文献

Various operating conditions have been applied on tetrakis[p‐(halogenomethyl)]‐ and tetrakis[p‐(aminomethyl)]calix[4]arene derivatives to improve the synthesis of the 5,11,17,23‐tetrakis[(diethylphosphono)methyl]‐25,26,27,28‐tetrahydroxycalix[4]arene. Two new, high yield, synthetic pathways have been selected, involving, for the first one, the 25,26,27,28‐tetrahydroxy‐5,11,17,23‐tetrakis[(trimethylamino)methyl]calix[4]arene, tetraiodide, DMF, and 10 equiv. of triethyl phosphite ((EtO)3P), and, for the other one, the 5,11,17,23‐tetra(bromomethyl)‐25,26,27,28‐tetrahydroxycalix[4]arene, CH2Cl2, and only 4 equiv. of (EtO)2P.  相似文献
