We report two synthetic systems, Cu(Bpy)2+ and Cu(Phen)2+, for catalytic hydrogenation of steroidal haloalkenes in the presence of hydrazine and air. Thesestudies demonstrated that the selective hydrogenation is faster for the 1,10‐phenanthroline–Cu(II) system because forming more stable copper complex are formed, leaving fewer free copper ions in solution. Evidence also supports that the catalytic power of Cu(II) ions can be tuned moderately through the addition of bidentate ligand, Bpy or Phen.  相似文献

The adsorption of Pb(II) and Cu(II) from aqueous solution on magnetic porous ferrospinel MnFe(2)O(4) prepared by a sol-gel process was investigated. Single batch experiment was employed to test pH effect, sorption kinetics, and isotherm. The interaction mechanism and the regeneration were also explored. The results showed that Pb(II) and Cu(II) removal was strongly pH-dependent with an optimum pH value of 6.0, and the equilibrium time was 3.0 h. The adsorption process could be described by a pseudo-second-order model, and the initial sorption rates were 526.3 and 2631.5 μmol g(-1)min(-1) for Pb(II) and Cu(II) ions, respectively. The equilibrium data were corresponded well with Langmuir isotherm, and the maximum adsorption capacities were 333.3 and 952.4 μmol g(-1) for Pb(II) and Cu(II) ions, respectively. The adsorbed Pb(II) and Cu(II) ions were in the form of the complex with oxygen in carboxyl and hydroxyl groups binding on the surface of magnetic porous MnFe(2)O(4). The sorbent could be reused for five times with high removal efficiency.  相似文献

The effects of o-phenanthroline and 2,2′-bipyridine on the adsorption of metal(II) (Fe, Co, Ni and Cu) ions onto silica gel surface have been studied. The adsorption is expressed in terms of the measured concentrations of both metal and ligand at equilibrium. Each adsorption of the four metal ions is increased with the presence of the ligands. In addition, adsorption increases slowly with pH at low pH values and then increases rapidly up to near the pKa value of silica gel (≈6.5). The adsorption of each metal ion at low pH is increased with increased ligand concentration. However, at high pH the adsorptions of Fe(II) and Cu(II) are decreased with increased ligand concentration whereas the adsorptions of Co(II) and Ni(II) are always increased. At low pH values the ligand to metal ratio adsorbed on the silica gel surface is ca. 3:1 while at high pH values it is 1:1, 2:1, and 3:1, corresponding to the initial ligand to metal ion concentration ratio. The addition of ethanol to the phenanthroline-SiO2 solution results in a decrease in the adsorption of phenanthroline. The effect of ethanol is also observed in the Fe(II)-phenanthroline-SiO2 system. The behavior of the adsorption is interpreted qualitatively by hydrophobic expulsion, the formation of surface complexes, and electrostatic interaction. It is concluded that hydrophobic expulsion plays an important role in the adsorption of metal ions in the presence of hydrophobic ligands on silica gel surface.  相似文献

A simple and new simultaneous spectrophotometric method is proposed for the analysis of a three-component system containing Cu(II), V(V) and Fe(III) without separation using 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde benzoylhydrazone (OHNABH). The reagent reacts with all the three metal ions at pH 5, forming soluble colored species in 30% DMF. The physico-chemical characteristics, statistical analysis and application of the method for the analysis of complex materials are reported. The effect of diverse ions and the stoichiometry and stability constants are also studied. This article was submitted by the authors in English.  相似文献

The intense sensitization of terbium luminescence with copper(II) ions was observed in the Tb–Cu mixed-metal complex of 1.5-bis(2-hydrazinocarbophenoxy)-3-oxapentane (HCPhO) with the ratio Tb : Cu : HCPhO = 1 : 1 : 1. Other d-block metals produced no sensitizing effect. The effect observed was used for the luminescence determination of trace copper in the presence of 1000-fold amounts of Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Zn(II), and Cd(II). The accuracy of determining copper was verified by the analysis of Certified Reference Materials of zinc- and nickel-based alloys.  相似文献

Novel ruthenium(II)bpy complexes of the phenanthrimidazole-pendant cyclen and cyclam macrocyclic ligands were synthesized as inorganic host molecules. Inorganic host design was planned as a “complex ligand” form because of its tetraaza macrocyclic unit, which has the ability to coordinate to the metals. Photophysical properties and metal selectivity of inorganic hosts RuL1A and RuL2 complex ligands were investigated by UV-vis and fluorescence spectroscopy in aqueous medium. Among Ag(I), Li(I), Na(I), K(I), Cd(II), Cr(II), Fe(II), Hg(II), Ni(II), Pb(II), Zn(II), Cu(II), Mn(III), and Co(III) metal ions, Fe(II) addition causes spectral changes for both RuL1A and RuL2 complex ligands. Electrochemical studies were performed for RuL1B and also for cis-[Ru(bpy) 2 Cl 2 ] . Bimetallic complexes [[Ru(bpy)2([Ni(2-(4-((1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecan-1-yl)methyl)phenyl)-1H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline])](ClO4)4, RuL1-NiA and [Ru(bpy)2([Ni(2-(4-((1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecan-1-yl)methyl)phenyl)-1H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline])]Cl4, RuL1-NiB solid complexes were also obtained by the reaction of the RuL1B and Nickel(II).  相似文献

The present study was undertaken to develop a novel adsorbent for heavy metal ions, and this paper presents the synthesis and characterization of a composite material-silica gel microspheres encapsulated by salicyclic acid functionalized polystyrene (SG-PS-azo-SA) with a core-shell structure. SG-PS-azo-SA was used to investigate the adsorption of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Fe(III), Hg(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Cr(VI), Pd(II), Cu(II), Ag(I), and Au(III) from aqueous solutions. The results revealed that SG-PS-azo-SA has better adsorption capacity for Cu(II), Ag(I) and Au(III). Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models were applied to analyze the experimental data, the best interpretation for the experimental data was given by the Langmuir isotherm equation with the maximum adsorption capacity for Cu(II), Ag(I), and Au(III) at 1.288 mmol g−1, 1.850 mmol g−1 and 1.613 mmol gt-1, respectively. Thus, silica gel encapsulated by salicyclic acid functionalized polystyrene (SG-PS-azo-SA) is favorable and useful for the removal of Cu(II), Ag(I) and Au(III) metal ions.  相似文献

A new hydrazone ligand, HL, was prepared by the reaction of 7-chloro-4-hydrazinoquinoline with o-hydroxybenzaldehyde. The ligand behaves as monoprotic bidentate. This was accounted for as the ligand contains a phenolic group and its hydrogen atom is reluctant to be replaced by a metal ion. The ligand reacted with Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II), Fe(III), and UO2(II) ions to yield mononuclear complexes. In the case of Fe(III) ion two complexes, mono- and binuclear complexes, were obtained in the absence and presence of LiOH, respectively. Also, mixed ligand complexes were obtained from the reaction of the metal cations Cu(II), Ni(II) and Fe(III) with the ligand (HL) and 8-hydroxyquinoline (8-OHqu) in the presence of LiOH, in the molar ratio 1:1:1:1. It is clear that 8-OHqu behaves as monoprotic bidentate ligand in such mixed ligand complexes. The ligand, HL, and its metal complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, IR, UV-vis, mass, and 1H NMR spectra, as well as magnetic moment, conductance measurements, and thermal analyses. All complexes have octahedral configurations except Cu(II) complex which has an extra square-planar geometry, while Ni(II) mixed complex has also formed a tetrahedral configuration and UO2(II) complex which formed a favorable pentagonal biprymidial geometry. Magnetic moment of the binuclear Fe(III) complex is quite low compared to calculated value for two iron ions complex and thus shows antiferromagnetic interactions between the two adjacent ferric ions. The HL and metal complexes were tested against one stain Gram positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus), Gram negative bacteria (Escherichia coli), and fungi (Candida albicans). The tested compounds exhibited higher antibacterial acivities.  相似文献

A series of heterometal cyclic tetranuclear complexes [Cu(II)LM(II)(hfac)](2) (M(II) = Zn (1), Cu (2), Ni (3), Co (4), Fe(5), and Mn (6)) have been synthesized by the assembly reaction of K[CuL] and [M(II)(hfac)(2)(H(2)O)(2)] with a 1:1 mole ratio in methanol, where H(3)L = 1-(2-hydroxybenzamido)-2-((2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzylidene)amino)ethane and Hhfac = hexafluoroacetylacetone. The crystal structures of 2, 4, and [Cu(II)LMn(II)(acac)](2) (6a) (Hacac = acetylacetone) were determined by single-crystal X-ray analyses. Each complex has a cyclic tetranuclear Cu(II)(2)M(II)(2) structure, in which the Cu(II) complex functions as a "bridging ligand complex", and the Cu(II) and M(II) ions are alternately arrayed. One side of the planar Cu(II) complex coordinates to one M(II) ion at the two phenoxo and the methoxy oxygen atoms, and the opposite side of the Cu(II) complex coordinates to another M(II) ion at the amido oxygen atom. The temperature-dependent magnetic susceptibilities revealed spin states of S(M) = 0, 1/2, 1, 3/2, 2, and 5/2 for the Zn(II), Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II), Fe(II), and Mn(II) ions, respectively. Satisfactory fittings to the observed magnetic susceptibility data were obtained by assuming a rectangular arrangement with two different g-factors for the Cu(II) and M(II) ions, two different isotropic magnetic exchange interactions, J(1) and J(2), between the Cu(II) and M(II) ions, and a zero-field splitting term for the M(II) ion. In all cases, the antiferromagnetic coupling constants were found for both exchange interactions suggesting nonzero spin ground states with S(T) = 2/S(M) - S(Cu)/, which were confirmed by the analysis of the field-dependent magnetization measurements.  相似文献

Pectin (Pec) and cellulose microfibers (CF) extracted from orange waste were combined to form composite beads with enhanced adsorption capacity. Such beads were extensively tested in the removal of multi-metal ions from water. A factorial design approach was conducted to establish the optimum conditions for adsorption of Cd(II), Cu(II), and Fe(II) on Pec-CF beads. Batch adsorption experiments revealed that removal efficiency of such metal ions falls in the range of 94–58% and it followed the order Fe(II) > Cu(II) > Cd(II). The maximum Cd(II), Cu(II) and Fe(II) adsorption capacities calculated from the Langmuir isotherm were 192.3, 88.5 and 98.0 mg/g, respectively. FTIR analysis suggests that the functional groups on Pec-CF beads (binding sites) favor the adsorption of such metal ions. Desorption and reuse experiments demonstrated the beads could be used for at least five consecutive adsorption/desorption cycles. Our finds suggest the Pec-CF beads can serve as an efficient adsorbent for the removal of multi-metal ions from wastewater.  相似文献

New metal complexes of Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) with salicylidine-2-aminobenzimidazole (SABI) are synthesized and their physicochemical properties are investigated using elemental and thermal analyses, IR, conductometric, solid reflectance and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The base reacts with these metal ions to give 1:1 (Metal:SABI) complexes; in cases of Fe(III), Co(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) ions; and 1:2 (Metal:SABI) complexes; in case of Ni(II) ion. The conductance data reveal that Fe(III) complex is 2:1 electrolyte, Co(II) is 1:2 electrolyte, Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes are 1:1 electrolytes while Ni(II) is non-electrolyte. IR spectra showed that the ligand is coordinated to the metal ions in a terdentate mannar with O, N, N donor sites of the phenloic -OH, azomethine -N and benzimidazole -N3. Magnetic and solid reflectance spectra are used to infer the coordinating capacity of the ligand and the geometrical structure of these complexes. The thermal decomposition of the complexes is studied and indicates that not only the coordinated and/or crystallization water is lost but also that the decomposition of the ligand from the complexes is necessary to interpret the successive mass loss. Different thermodynamic activation parameters are also reported, using Coats-Redfern method. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

A metal-ion extractant, prepared by chemical binding of 2-pyridinecarboxaldehyde phenylhydrazone on a silica support, is described and shown to be effective for use in separation and determination of trace amounts of iron, cobalt, nickel, and copper. Metal-ion sorption conforms to the Langmuir isotherm. The relative orders of the Langmuir constants K and the column retention-capacity factors k' for the four transition-metal ions are the same as the natural order of the stabilities predicted for their metal chelates: Fe(II) < Co(II) < Ni(II) < Cu(II).  相似文献

A polyamidoamine dendrimer starch (PSt) was prepared with epichlorohydrin as cross-linking agent and characterized by FTIR and scanning electron microscopy. The adsorption behavior of PSt for Cu(II) ions was then studied. Effects of adsorption time, initial concentration of Cu(II) ions, and temperature on the adsorption of Cu(II) ions by PSt were researched, and the equilibrium, kinetics and thermodynamics of the adsorption process were further investigated. The results showed that PSt can effectively adsorb Cu(II) ions from the solution. The adsorption process can be well described by Langmuir isotherm and Freundlich isotherm, and the maximum adsorption capacities of G1PSt, G2PSt, and G4PSt were 3.0571, 3.4228, and 3.9527 mmol/g, respectively. The adsorption of Cu(II) ions on PSt was endothermic in nature. In addition, the pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order kinetic models were applied to test the experimental data. The pseudo-second-order kinetic model provided a better correlation of the experimental data in comparison with the pseudo-first-order model.  相似文献

The complexes of adriamycin (ADM) with Cu(II) and Fe(II) have been studied by visible absorption, circular dichroism (CD) and fluorescence spectra, respectively. In Tris buffer at pH 7.0, either metal ions forms a single species with adriamycin: Cu(ADM)2 or Fe(ADM)3. Interaction of these two complexes with various biological molecules has been examined. It is shown that some amino acids, glutathione and albumin are able to remove the Cu(II) ion from Cu(II)-ADM complex, releasing the free drug. However, Fe(II)-ADM keeps in an undissociated form under the same conditions. The possibility of Fe(II) ADM as a new alternative drug has been discussed.  相似文献

With the use of the tailored cyanometalate precursor, (Bu4N)[(Tp)Fe(CN)3] (Tp = Tris(pyrazolyl)hydroborate) as the building block to react with fully solvated Cu(II), Co(II), and Ni(II) cations, four one-dimensional (1D) heterobimetallic cyano-bridged chain complexes of squares, [(Tp)2Fe(III)2(CN)6Cu(CH3OH).2CH3OH]n (1), [(Tp)2Fe(III)2(CN)6Cu(DMF).DMF]n (2), [(Tp)2Fe(III)2(CN)6M(CH3OH)2.2CH3OH]n (M = Co (3) and Ni (4)), have been prepared. In complexes 1 and 2, the Cu(II) ions are pentacoordinated in the form of a slightly distorted square-based pyramid, and they are linked by distorted octahedrons of [(Tp)Fe(CN)3]- to form 1D chains of squares. In complexes 3 and 4, both the central Co(II) and Ni(II) ions have a slightly distorted octahedral coordination geometry, and they are bridged by [(Tp)Fe(CN)3]- to form similar 1D chains of squares. There are weak interchain pi-pi stacking interactions through the pyrazolyl groups of the Tp ligands for complexes 3 and 4. The crystal structures and magnetic studies demonstrate that complexes 1 and 2 exhibit intrachain ferromagnetic coupling and single-chain magnets behavior, and the blocking temperature is ca. 6 K for complex 1 and ca. 3 K for complex 2. Complexes 3 and 4 show significant metamagnetic behavior, where the cyanides mediate the intrachain ferromagnetic coupling between Fe(III) and Co(II) or Ni(II) ions and the interchain pi-pi stacking interactions lead to antiferromagnetic couplings. The field dependence of the magnetization measurements shows that the critical field is around 1 kOe for complex 3 and 0.8 kOe for complex 4 at 1.8 K.  相似文献

The hydrothermal reaction of K(3)[Fe(CN)(6)], CuCl(2), and 2,2'-bipyridine (bipy) resulted in the formation of a 2D cyanide-bridged heterobimetallic Fe(II)-Cu(I) complex, [Fe(bipy)(2)(CN)(4)Cu(2)], 1. Working in the same conditions, but using 2,2'-bipyrimidine (bpym) instead of bipy and methanol as solvent, we obtained the homometallic Cu(I) complex [Cu(2)(CN)(2)(bpym)](2), 2. The structure of 1 consists of cyanide-bridged Fe(II)-Cu(I) layers, constructed from alternately fused 6 (Fe(2)Cu(4)) and 10 (Fe(2)Cu(8)) metal-membered centrosymmetric rings, in which copper(I) and iron(II) ions exhibit distorted trigonal planar and octahedral cooordination environments, respectively. The formation of 1 can be explained by assuming that, under high pressure and temperature, iron(III) and copper(II) ions are reduced with the simultaneous and/or subsequent substitution of four cyanide ligands by two bipy molecules in the ferricyanide anions. It is interesting to note that 1 is the first cyanide-bridged heterobimetallic complex prepared by solvothermal methods. The structure of 2 consists of neutral 2D honeycomb layers constructed from fused Cu(6)(CN)(4)(bpym)(2) rings, in which copper(I) atoms exhibit distorted tetrahedral geometry. The isolation of 1 and 2, by using K(3)[Fe(CN)(6)] as starting material, demonstrates that hydrothermal chemistry can be used not only to prepare homometallic materials but also to prepare cyanide-bridged bimetallic materials. The temperature dependence of chi(M)T and M?ssbauer measurements for 1 reveal the existence of a high spin <--> low spin equilibrium involving the Fe(II) ions.  相似文献

7-Amine-4-azaheptylsilica (AAH Si) and 10-amine-4-azadecylsilica (AAD Si) were prepared and used for removal of Cu(II), Pb(II), and Fe(III) from aqueous solutions. Full 2(3) factorial designs with two pseudo-central points were carried out in order to achieve the best conditions of the batch adsorption procedure for metallic ion uptake by the adsorbents. To continue the optimizations, central composite surface design was also employed. These two independent statistical designs of experiments lead to the following conditions: m=30.0 mg of adsorbent; pH 6.0 for Cu(II) and Pb(II), pH 4.0 for Fe(III); t of contact 180 min to guarantee equilibration at higher adsorbate concentration. After optimization of the conditions, isotherms of the metallic ions adsorbed on the AAH Si and AAD Si adsorbents were obtained, which were fitted to nonlinear Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models.  相似文献

Cyanide-bridged molecular squares of [Fe(II)(2)Cu(II)(2)(mu-CN)(4)(dmbpy)(4)(impy)(2)](ClO(4))(4).4CH(3)OH.C(6)H(6) (1) and of [Fe(III)(2)Cu(II)(2)(mu-CN)(4)(dmbpy)(4)(impy)(2)](ClO(4))(6).4CH(3)OH.4H(2)O (2) (dmbpy = 4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine; impy = 2-(2-pyridyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazolyl-1-oxy) were prepared. In the squares of 1 and 2, the Fe(II/III) (low spin) and Cu(II) ions are alternately bridged by the cyanide groups, in which the cyanide carbon atoms coordinated to the Fe(II) ions and Cu(II) ions are coordinated by imino nitroxide. Magnetic susceptibility measurements for 1 and 2 revealed that the Cu(II) ion and imino nitroxide are ferromagnetically coupled with a fairly strong coupling constant (J(Cu-radical) > 300 K) and act as triplet species. In 1 the Cu(II)-radical moieties are magnetically separated by the Fe(II) ions. In the square of 2, dpi (Fe(III)), dsigma (Cu(II)), and ppi (imino nitroxide) spins are alternately assembled, and this situation allowed the square to have an S = 3 spin ground state. The exchange coupling constant of Fe(III) and the Cu(II)-radical moiety in 2 was estimated to be J = 4.9 cm(-1) (H = -2JSigmaS(Fe).S(Cu-radical)).  相似文献

Abstract

Stannic silicate has been sorbed with complexones like xylenol orange, eriochrome black T and 1,10-phenanthroline for use as a chelate ion exchanger. The sorption capacity for different metals has been worked out. Kd values have been determined. Xylenol orange was used for the separation of Th(IV) from Cd(II) and Zn(II) and Cu(II) from Cd(II) and Zn(II), 1,10 phenanthroline for the separation of Fe(II) from Fe(III). These separations are based on the stabilities of the various complexes formed by the interaction of metal inns with complexones. By elution of metal ions which forms less stable complexes with the complexones no evidence of complexing agent in the eluate was found.  相似文献
