金属柱壳破坏过程与材料、结构及载荷等相关,断裂结果呈现多种形式,采用有限元结合实验对不同爆炸载荷作用下,TA2钛合金圆管的破坏机制开展研究。有限元结果显示:对于理想均质柱壳,由于冲击波传播使壁厚中间形成二次塑性区,圆管壁厚中部的等效塑性应变总是大于内、外壁。在较高爆压下,裂纹在加载阶段从试样壁厚中部起始,沿45°或135°向内外壁剪切扩展;而在较低爆压下,破坏发生在自由膨胀阶段,断裂从内壁起始向外壁剪切扩展,两者破坏过程和机制不同,总体来说,与实验现象符合较好。相关实验中出现的一些外壁拉伸断裂现象,可能与试样的几何、材料缺陷等因素相关,其对金属圆管爆炸破坏的影响值得进一步关注。  相似文献

通过有限元方法,模拟了接触载荷下,激光熔凝覆盖率对材料表层循环应力幅值和表层裂纹CTOD的影响,从而预测了熔凝覆盖率对材料接触疲劳寿命的影响。文中考虑了不同熔凝覆盖率的材料表面微结构形状的差异,不同熔凝覆盖率摩擦副的摩擦系数一样和发生变化两种情况。结果显示,熔凝覆盖率由20%左右的材料表层强韧化性能最好。  相似文献

A radiation heat transfer analysis has been formulated for the space inside an internal combustion engine cylinder using the principles of the Hottel zone and transformational zone methods. The space analyzed has a variable length resulting from the piston movement. The analysis presented here is for radiation in piston-cylinder systems of known temperatures of radiation gas, and internal surfaces of cylinder, head, and piston. Radiative emissions of the radiation gas in the shape of rings were determined on the basis of Stasiek's principle of surface transformation. The results obtained demonstrate the present approach satisfactorily, both qualitatively and quantitatively. Moreover, the division of the analyzed volume into infinitely small elements along the axial direction has significantly simplified the calculations in comparison with the conventionally employed classical Hottel zone method.  相似文献

Transition boiling curves of distilled water on Inconel surfaces under forced convective conditions have been obtained. These data were generated from Inconel-copper composite test sections during quench experiments, using two-dimensional analysis. In order to properly account for axial conduction in the composite test sections, the two-dimensional model should be employed. A multiple-disk Tesla type fan has been designed, tested and analyzed two-dimensionally using the conservation of angular momentum principle. Experimental results showed that such multiple-disk fans exhibited exceptionally low performance characteristics, which could be attributed to the low viscosity, tangential nature of the flow, and large mechanical energy losses at both suction and discharge sections that are comparable to the total input power. By means of theoretical analysis, local and overall shearing stresses on the disk surfaces have been determined based on tangential and radial velocity distributions of the air flow of different volume flow rates at prescribed disk spaces and rotational speeds. Then the total power transmitted by rotating disks to air flow, and the power acquired by the air flow in the gap due to transfer of angular momentum have been obtained by numerically integrating shearing stresses over the disk surfaces. Using the measured shaft and hydraulic powers, these quantities were utilized to evaluate mechanical energy losses associated with the suction and discharge sections of the fan.  相似文献

Experiments on evaporative spray cooling of flat heaters with plain and micro-porous coated surfaces were performed in this study. Micro-porous coated surfaces were made by using the DOM [Diamond particle, Omegabond 101, Methyl-Ethyl-Keton] coating method. In pure air-jet cooling, micro-porous coating did not show heat transfer improvement over plain surface. In spray cooling, however, three different flow patterns (complete wetting, evaporative wetting and dryout) were observed on both plain and micro-porous coated surfaces. The effects of various operating conditions, such as water flow rate, particle size, and coating thickness on the micro-porous coated surface were investigated. It was found that the level of surface wetting was an important factor in determining the performance of spray cooling. The level of surface wetting depended on the balance between the amount of liquid absorbed by capillary force over porosity and the amount of liquid evaporated. A micro-porous coated surface has a very high cooling capacity, especially in the evaporative wetting zone. The liquid flow rate and coating thickness are significant factors in the evaporative wetting zone, but are not in the complete wetting zone and the dryout zone.  相似文献

Current systems for photogrammetry analysis rely mainly on two-dimensional visualization methods, particularly Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The absence of three-dimensional information prevents the determination of important quantitative features such as local roughness and precludes a deeper comprehension of the failure mechanisms. This paper describes a new multi-scale stereo-photogrammetry system for inspection of fracture surfaces based on SEM images. The system facilitates the reconstruction of complete 3D fracture surfaces and provides interactive visualization of the multi-scale structure, thus offering better insight into fracture surfaces at different levels of detail. In particular, a new method has been developed for geometric reconstruction of a 3D textured mesh from SEM stereo images. The mesh is represented as a 3D geometric multi-resolution structure. The sampled images are represented in the form of a multi-scale hierarchical textured structure. Thus, the global shape of the sample is represented by a 3D mesh, while its micro details are represented by textured data. This multi-scale and hierarchical structure allows interactive multi-scale navigation of the 3D textured mesh. The Regions of Interest (ROI) can actually be inspected interactively at different scales by means of optical or digital zooming. Thus, the digital model can be visualized and the behavior of the 3D material can be analyzed interactively. The contributions of this research include: (a) a new 3D multi-scale reconstruction method for SEM stereo images; (b) a new visualization module for multi-scale inspection, modeling and analysis of micro-structures for a variety of materials; and (c) 3D insight into and better understanding of fracture phenomena for material micro-structures. The feasibility of the proposed method is demonstrated on samples of different materials, and a performance analysis is applied on the resulting multi-scale model. The roughness calculation was verified against roughness calculation applied to the optical profilometer.  相似文献

Curved thermal cracks are considered running along special principal stress trajectories in self-stressed two-phase solids with different cross sections. The resulting mixed boundary-value problems of the stationary plane thermoelasticity are solved by applying the finite element method. Moreover, using appropriate directional criteria established for crack path prediction, the further extension of thermal cracks starting at the external surfaces of different shaped two-phase solids has been determined. Furthermore, the corresponding fracture mechanical data like crack edge displacements, strain energy release rates and stress intensity factors, respectively, have been calculated. Finally, the theoretical investigations given in part I of the paper are compared with experiments using differing optical methods of the experimental stress analysis. The experimental results reported in part II of the paper and the theoretical calculations show a reasonable agreement.  相似文献

The creep rupture of butt welded ferritic steel pipes composed of a range of weld and heat affected zone materials has been previously analysed in detail (Leckie and Hayhurst, 1994). These analyses required substantial computational resources which cannot be justified during the preliminary phases of the design process. To reduce cost and improve speed an approximate method for the analysis of kinematically determinate structures, known as the modal method (Leckie and Hayhurst, 1974), has been developed to compute creep rupture lifetimes. This paper reports an extension of the method for the analysis of multi-material structures, such as weldments, and its implementation as a post processor to a stationary state finite element creep analysis. Histories of stress and damage have been determined using the modal method for weldments with a range of heat affected zone and weld material combinations. The lifetimes determined in this way are compared with those determined using complete continuum damage mechanics analyses, and are shown to be conservative; in addition the regions of intense damage have been shown to be accurately predicted. The modal method is also shown to be superior to more approximate reference stress methods.  相似文献

根据疲劳载荷造成的疲劳累积损伤对结构极限承载力的影响情况,讨论了结构系统承载能力的可靠度计算方法,分析了结构系统中每一个单元在静载和疲劳载荷作用下的两种失效模式,并考虑了二者之间的相关性对该单元可靠性的影响,具体分析了结构系统在这两种载荷作用下的失效机理,给出了在这两种载荷作用下结构系统的可靠性分析方法. 算例表明,在不同的使用年限内,静载和疲劳载荷对结构系统可靠性的影响是不同的;在结构系统主要失效路径中既有单元静强度失效又有单元疲劳失效,这是符合结构系统使用真实情况的.  相似文献

Inverse analysis is widely applied to the identification of material properties or model parameters. In order to improve the computational efficiency of the inverse method based on the genetic algorithm, an interpolation scheme upon the response surface constructed by the finite element simulation has been adopted in this paper. Meanwhile, a gradual homogenization treatment scheme has also been presented to improve the convergence of the inverse method based on the Kalman filter algorithm. Both methods are proven effective in dealing with the single-objective inverse problem. However, literature studies show that the adoption of multiple types of experimental information is useful to improve the accuracy of inverse analysis. In this case, it turns into a multiple-objective inverse problem. Our practice proved that the above-mentioned two methods might not yield a proper result if the sensitivity issue of different types of information is not considered. Therefore, another multi-objective inverse method, in combination of the above two optimization algorithms and a weight-estimating scheme that can consider such sensitivity, has been further presented. Finally, by using a mixed-mode crack propagation simulation and two types of experimental information (loading-displacement response curve and crack path profile), the parameters of the cohesive zone model were inversely identified and its simulation results are in good agreement with the experiment.  相似文献

The shear band structure in a thermo-viscoplastic material has been analyzed under quasi-static conditions during the final stage of the localization process. A closed form expression of the bandwidth, of the size of the heat-affected zone and of the failure time has been obtained for a homogeneous material. The analysis is based on the assumption that the strain-rate distribution is steady beyond a certain strain level. Predictions have been compared with experimental measurements.  相似文献

为研究脂润滑下表面织构对关节轴承摩擦特性的影响,设计和制造了4组表面高度算术平均值相同、表面微凹坑面积占有率分别为7%、10%、15%和21%的关节轴承内圈表面形貌.使用Talysurf CCI Lite非接触式三维轮廓仪对试件表面进行测量,采用ISO25178定义的表面参数对试件表面形貌进行表征.在改造的HDM-20端面摩擦磨损试验机上,采用2#锂基脂润滑在不同载荷、转速条件下进行了一系列摩擦磨损试验,研究了表面形貌参数与摩擦系数的关系.在本试验中,选取表面高度算术平均值Sa和表面峰态Sku等表面高度参数、表面峰区平均材料体积Vmp、表面中心区平均空体体积Vvc和表面谷区平均空体体积Vvv等表面功能参数以及平均谷体积Sdv等表面特征参数对关节轴承表面形貌进行表征.结果表明:各表面参数对摩擦系数的影响不同,将表面高度参数、功能参数和特征参数这几种表面形貌参数结合对关节轴承表面形貌进行表征,更有利于脂润滑下关节轴承表面形貌的摩擦学设计.  相似文献

本文利用光塑性方法,以聚碳酸酯(Polycarbonate)为材料研究了矩形花键轴冷挤压成形过程,获得了花键挤压成形的三维塑性应变场分布,提出其变形的应变分布特征,并对典型截面的应变进行了计算分析;文中还通过对聚碳酸酯材料的实验,得到了使花键齿形充满的最佳坯料尺寸,为实际工艺生产优选出合理的工艺参数。  相似文献

Conclusion We have surveyed the existing methods of determining the stress-strain state and fracture toughness of gas and oil lines. The discussion illustrated the promise of methods of evaluating the stress-strain state that are based on allowance for the strain-hardening of the material of the pipe or plastic indicators attached to its surface and deformed along with it. The first method, being destructive, can be used to evaluate the effect of different shaping methods on the strength of the pipe material, to analyze accidental pipeline fractures, and to generate a data bank on the stress-strain state of sections of a pipeline that have lost their longitudinal stability and are scheduled for replacement. Information obtained from the first method can also be used to establish correlations between the geometric parameters of such sections (deflection, curvature) and their stress-strain state. This will make it possible, with the use of reliable statistical methods, to predict the stress level on curved sections of pipelines without having to cut out samples for testing and analysis. In this study, extrusion process of thick wall tubes through rotating curved dies is investigated by the method of upper bound. Total deformation region is divided into four deformation zones and a velocity field is developed for each deformation zone. The twist moments generated on container and mandrel surfaces are calculated and by equating them with the twist moment exerted by rotating die, the twisting length of tube inside the container is determined. Then, the internal powers, the powers dissipated on frictional and velocity discontinuity surfaces for a rigid-perfectly plastic material are evaluated and they are used in upper bound model. By optimizing the total power with respect to the slippage parameter between die and the tube material, the required relative extrusion pressure for a given process conditions and die angular velocity is determined. The results of finite element simulations are also presented and satisfactory agreement between the calculated and FEM results are demonstrated.  相似文献

A three-dimensional analysis of a simply-supported functionally graded rectangular plate with an arbitrary distribution of material properties is made using a simple and effective method based on the Haar wavelet.With good features in treating singularities,Haar series solu- tion converges rapidly for arbitrary distributions,especially for the case where the material prop- erties change rapidly in some regions.Through numerical examples the influences of the ratio of material constants on the top and bottom surfaces and different material gradient distributions on the structural response of the plate to mechanical stimuli are studied.  相似文献
