The dynamic behaviors of a dry friction oscillator with shape memory alloy (SMA) are investigated. Motion equations of the system are formulated by the restoring force of the oscillator in terms of a polynomial constitutive model dependent mainly on the temperature. The vibration response of the system and the influence of the temperature are investigated. It is shown that chaotic motions can be observed and dramatically changed by temperature characteristics. Moreover, some sliding bifurcations are also discovered and influenced by the temperature. Compared with conventional dry friction elastic oscillators, the dry friction SMA oscillator presents much richer dynamic behavior caused by pseudo-elasticity, and vibration reduction can be achieved through the shape memory property of SMA restraints.  相似文献

It is of fundamental value to understand the thermo-mechanical properties of carbon nanotubes. In this paper, by using molecular dynamics simulation, a systematic numerical investigation is carried out to explore the natural thermal vibration behaviors of single-walled carbon nanotubes and their quantitative contributions to the apparent thermal contraction behaviors. It is found that the thermo-mechanical behavior of single-walled carbon nanotubes is exhibited through the competition between quasi-static thermal expansion and dynamic thermal vibration, while the vibration effect is more prominent and induces apparent contraction in both radial and axial directions. With increasing temperature, the anharmonic interatomic potential helps to increase the bond length, which leads to thermally induced expansion. On the other hand, the higher structural entropy and vibrational entropy of the system cause the carbon nanotube to vibrate, and the apparent length of nanotube decreases due to various vibration modes. Parallel analytical and finite element analyses are used to validate the vibration frequencies and provide helpful insights. The unified multi-scale study has successfully decoupled and systematically analyzed both thermal expansion and contraction behaviors of single-walled carbon nanotube from 100 to 800 K, and obtained detailed information on various vibration modes as well as their quantitative contributions to the coefficient of thermal expansion in axial and radial directions. The results of this paper may provide useful information on the thermo-mechanical integrity of single-walled carbon nanotubes, and become important in practical applications involving finite temperature.  相似文献

The nonlinear vibrations of a rotating cantilever beam made of magnetoelastic materials surrounded by a uniform magnetic field are investigated. The kinetic energy, potential energy and work done by the electromagnetic force are obtained. A nonlinear dynamic model, based on the Hamilton principle, which includes the stretching vibration and bending vibration is presented. The Galerkin method is adopted to discretize the dynamic equations. The proposed method is validated by comparison with the literature. The nonlinear behaviors of the responses are studied. Then simulations for different kinds of magnetic field are conducted. The effects of magnetic field parameters, including the amplitude, plane angle, spatial angle and time-varying frequency, on the dynamic behaviors of the stretching motion and bending motion are investigated in detail. The results illustrate that the interaction effects between the rotating cantilever beam and the magnetic field will increase the vibration amplitude and fluctuation of the beam. In particular, we found that: collinear magnetic fields with equal amplitude lead to the same dynamic responses; the amplitude of magnetic field intensity increases the dynamic responses remarkably; the response amplitude changes nonlinearly with the plane angle and spatial angle of the magnetic field; and the increase of time-varying frequency enhances dynamic responses of the rotating cantilever beam.  相似文献

In this study plate-impact pressure-shear friction experiments are employed to investigate dynamic slip resistance and time-resolved growth of molten metal films during dry metal-on-metal slip under extreme interfacial conditions. By employing a tribo-pair comprising of a hard tool-steel against a relatively low melt-point metal (7075-T6 Al alloy), interfacial normal stress of up to 5 GPa and slip speeds of approximately 250 m/s have been achieved. These extreme interfacial conditions are conducive to the development of molten metal film at the tribo-pair interface. A Lagrangian finite element code is developed to understand the evolution of the thermo-mechanical fields and their relationship to the observed slip response. The code accounts for dynamic effects, heat conduction, contact with friction, and full thermo-mechanical coupling. At temperatures below the melting point of the tribo-pair materials are described as isotropic, thermally softening, elastic–viscoplastic solids. For material elements with temperatures in excess of the melt temperature a purely Newtonian fluid constitutive model is employed.  相似文献

利用形状记忆合金(Shape Memory Alloy,简称SMA)丝的超弹性,提出了一种具有复位功能的阻尼器。在SMA丝的Graesser本构模型基础上,建立了阻尼器恢复力的滑移双线性模型;假定滞回面积相等,提出了恢复力的滑移刚塑性模型以近似简化滑移双线性模型。采用等价线性化法建立了单自由度超弹性SMA减振结构在高斯白噪声激励下的平稳随机振动分析公式。通过一算例,考虑不同激励谱密度和结构阻尼比:比较了等价线性法和蒙特卡罗(Monte Carlo)模拟法计算的结构振动响应(位移标准差和速度标准差),证明了SMA减振结构随机振动控制理论的有效性;比较了等价线性减振结构和无控结构的动力特性(刚度和阻尼比)和振动响应,说明了SMA阻尼器能提高结构的刚度和阻尼比,因而可有效抑制结构的振动。  相似文献

The paper presents an approach to passive vibration control of shear deformable and thin plates. The first of two methods of vibration control employs prestressed shape memory alloy (SMA) wires embedded in sleeves attached to the surface of the plate. The spacing between the wires can be arbitrary and variable enabling the development of a SMA support system for maximum control with minimum additional weight. The other method considered in the paper utilizes SMA wires supporting the plate at strategically selected points. The mechanism of passive control includes two components: (1) SMA wires prestressed as a result of constrained phase transformation act as an elastic foundation with a variable stiffness and (2) energy dissipation occurs as a result of hysteresis in superelastic wires vibrating together with the structure. As follows from examples, it is possible to achieve a significant reduction of the vibration amplitude over a broad spectrum of driving frequencies using any of two methods considered in the paper.  相似文献

Super-harmonic resonances may appear in the forced response of a weakly nonlinear oscillator having cubic nonlinearity, when the forcing frequency is approximately equal to one-third of the linearized natural frequency. Under super-harmonic resonance conditions, the frequency-response curve of the amplitude of the free-oscillation terms may exhibit saddle-node bifurcations, jump and hysteresis phenomena. A linear vibration absorber is used to suppress the super-harmonic resonance response of a cubically nonlinear oscillator with external excitation. The absorber can be considered as a small mass-spring-damper oscillator and thus does not adversely affect the dynamic performance of the nonlinear primary oscillator. It is shown that such a vibration absorber is effective in suppressing the super-harmonic resonance response and eliminating saddle-node bifurcations and jump phenomena of the nonlinear oscillator. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the absorber in attenuating the super-harmonic resonance response.  相似文献

结构在环境振动或地震作用下的竖向振动不容忽略,有必要采取竖向隔振装置进行减振控制。考虑人体与结构耦合作用后不仅使隔振动力模型更加真实,还可以直接获得人体的动力响应。采用碟形弹簧支座对结构进行基础竖向隔振,并根据国际标准ISO5982规定的不同姿势下的人体动力模型,建立了考虑具有非经典阻尼的人与隔振结构耦合运动方程,利用复模态分析实现了方程的解耦,通过算例分析了竖向隔振以及人体作用对结构响应的影响。结果表明:对于一般的质量和刚度分布均匀的结构,人体对结构具有微弱的减振作用。碟形弹簧支座可以显著地降低结构的竖向振动并改善居住舒适度。  相似文献

利用安装在壁面上的单个压电振子周期振荡,采用开环主动控制方案,实现了对平板湍流边界层相干结构猝发的主动控制和壁湍流减阻.根据不同的输入电压幅值和频率,完成了10种工况的实验.在压电振子下游2mm处,用热线风速仪和迷你热线单丝探针,精细测量湍流边界层不同法向位置瞬时流向速度信号的时间序列,分析了在Re?=2183压电振子振动对湍流边界层平均速度剖面、减阻率和相干结构猝发过程的影响.实验结果表明,施加控制的工况使平均速度剖面对数律层上移,产生减阻效果;压电振子振幅越大,减阻率越高,减阻效果越明显;通过对施加控制前后流向瞬时速度的多尺度湍涡结构脉动动能的尺度分析,当压电振子振动频率与壁湍流能量最大尺度的猝发频率相近时,减阻率达到最大,为25%,说明控制壁湍流能量最大尺度相干结构的猝发是实现壁湍流减阻的关键;通过对比相干结构猝发的流向速度分量条件相位平均波形,发现施加控制的工况中相干结构猝发流向速度分量的波形幅值明显降低,且流向速度在扫掠后期高速阶段迅速衰减,缩短了高速流体的下扫过程,说明压电振子的振动能抑制相干结构的高速流体下扫过程,减弱高速流体与壁面的强烈剪切过程,并使近壁区域相干结构的振幅显著减弱,迁移速度加快,从而减小壁面摩擦阻力.   相似文献

The thermo-mechanical responses of Al 6061 before and after equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) at different strain rates and temperatures were measured. Al 6061 was solution heat treated before ECAP pressing at room temperature and subjected to up to three passes. After pressing, the billets were aged at 100 °C for 2 days. An as-received Al 6061-T651 was studied similarly to investigate the differences between processed and non-processed specimens. The responses of ECAP material were determined at −30, 22, 125 and 250 °C, and at strain rates from 10−5 to 2530 s−1; the 6061-T651 specimens were subjected to uniaxial compressive loading at −31, 22, 85, 150, 230 and 315 °C, and strain rates ranging from 10−5 to 2200 s−1. It was found that, the ECAP process increases the strength versus the T651 condition. Additionally, the Al 6061 ECAP is not sensitive to strain rate at room and lower temperatures, but the sensitivity increases as the number of passes and/or temperature are increased and this is the same for the non-processed material. Increasing the number of passes increases the flow stress at room and lower temperatures, has almost no effect at 125 °C and decreases at 250 °C. For both materials, the dynamic flow stress is higher than the stress at quasi-static strain rates even when the quasi-static strain rate regime is insensitive to strain rate. The Al 6061 has strong texture after one pass but steadily increases as the number of passes are increased. This is the first study that reports on the thermo-mechanical responses of ECAP and non-ECAP Al 6061 at such a wide range of strain rates, including dynamic, and temperatures.  相似文献
