Using the single crack solution and the regular solution of harmonic function, thetorsion problem of a cracked cylinder is reduced to solving a set of mixed-type integralequations which can be solved by combining the numerical method of singular integralequation with the boundary element method.Several numerical examples arecalculated and the stress intensity factors are obtained.  相似文献

A new approach for the solution of truss shape and topology optimization problem sunder local and global stability constraints is proposed. By employing the cross sectional areas of each bar and some shape parameters as topology design variables, the difficulty arising from the jumping of buckling length phenomenon can be easily overcome without the necessity of introducing the overlapping bars into the initial ground structure. Therefore computational efforts can be saved for the solution of this kind of problem. By modifying the elements of the stiffness matrix using Sigmoid function, the continuity of the objective and constraint functions with respect to shape design parameters can be restored to some extent. Some numerical examples demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

On condition that the basic equations set of atmospheric motion possesses the best stability in the smooth function classes, the structure of solution space for local analytical solution is discussed, by which the third-class initial value problem with typicality and application is analyzed. The calculational method and concrete expressions of analytical solution about the well-posed initial value problem of the third kind are given in the analytic function classes. Near an appointed point, the relevant theoretical and computational problems about analytical solution of initial value problem are solved completely in the meaning of local solution. Moreover, for other type of problems for determining solution, the computational method and process of their stable analytical solution can be obtained in a similar way given in this paper.  相似文献

According to the differential equation for transverse displacement function of anisotropic rectangular thin plates in free vibration, a general analytical solution is established. This general solution, composed of the composite solutions of trigonometric function and hyperbolic function, can satisfy the problem of arbitrary boundary conditions along four edges. The algebraic polynomial with double sine series solutions can also satisfy the problem of boundary conditions at four corners. Consequently, this general solution can be used to solve the vibration problem of anisotropic rectangular plates with arbitrary boundaries accurately. The integral constants can be determined by boundary conditions of four edges and four corners. Each natural frequency and vibration mode can be solved by the determinate of coefficient matrix from the homogeneous linear algebraic equations equal to zero. For example, a composite symmetric angle ply laminated plate with four edges clamped has been calculated and discussed.  相似文献

In this paper, amethod (PFMC) for solving plane problem of linear creep is presented by using perturbation finite element. It can be used in plane problem in consideration of creep, such as reinforced concrete beam, prestressed concrete beam, reinforced concrete cylinder and reinforced concrete tunnel in elastic or visco-elastic medium, as well as underground building and so on. In the presented method, the assumption made in the general increment method that variables remain constant in a divtded time interval is not taken. The accuracy is improved and the length of time step becomes larger. The computer storage can be reduced and the calculating efficiency can be increased. Perturbation finite element formulae for four-node quadrilateral isoparametric element including reinforcement are established and five numerical examples are given. As contrasted with the analytical solution, the accuracy is satisfactory.  相似文献

NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF TWO-POINT CONTACT BETWEEN WHEEL AND RAIL   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The elastic-plastic contact problem with rolling friction of wheel-rail is solved using the FE parametric quadratic programming method. Thus, the complex elastic-plastic contact problem can be calculated with high accuracy and efficiency, while the Hertz's hypothesis and the elastic semi-space assumption are avoided. Based on the ‘one-point' contact calculation of wheel-rail, the computational model of ‘two-point' contact are established and calculated when the wheel flange is close to the rail. In the case of ‘two-point' contact, the changing laws of wheelrail contact are introduced and contact forces in various load cases are carefully analyzed. The main reason of wheel flange wear and rail side wear is found. Lubrication computational model of the wheel flange is constructed. Comparing with the result without lubrication, the contact force between wheel flange and rail decreases, which is beneficial for reducing the wear of wheel-rail.  相似文献

This study focuses on the transient analysis of nonlinear dispersion of a polymeric pollutant ejected by an external source into a laminar pipe flow of a Newtonian liquid under axi-symmetric conditions. The influence of density variation with pollutant concentration is approximated according to the Boussinesq approximation and the nonlinear governing equations of momentum, pollutant concentration are obtained together with and Oldroyd-B constitutive model for the polymer stress. The problem is solved numerically using a semi-implicit finite difference method.Solutions are presented in graphical form for various parameter values and given in terms of fluid velocity, pollutant concentration, polymer stress components, skin friction and wall mass transfer rate. The model can be a useful tool in understanding the dynamics of industrial pollution situations arising from improper discharge of hydrocarbon pollutants into, say, water bodies. The model can also be quite useful for available necessary early warning methods for detecting or predicting the scale of pollution and hence help mitigate related damage downstream by earlier instituting relevant decontamination measures.  相似文献

This paper presents an analytical solution for the interaction of electric potentials, electric displacements, elastic deformations, and thermoelasticity, and describes electromagnetoelastic responses and perturbation of the magnetic field vector in hollow structures(cylinder or sphere),subjected to mechanical load and electric potential. The material properties, thermal expansion coefficient and magnetic permeability of the structure are assumed to be graded in the radial direction by a power law distribution. In the present model we consider the solution for the case of a hollow structure made of viscoelastic isotropic material, reinforced by elastic isotropic fibers, this material is considered as structurally anisotropic material. The exact solutions for stresses and perturbations of the magnetic field vector in FGM hollow structures are determined using the infinitesimal theory of magnetothermoelasticity, and then the hollow structure model with viscoelastic material is solved using the correspondence principle and Illyushin’s approximation method. Finally, numerical results are carried out and discussed.  相似文献

Through introducing the analytical solution of the transient heat conduction problem of the plate with convection into the thermal stress field model of the elastic plate, the stress reduction factor is presented explicitly in its dimensionless form. A new stress reduction factor is introduced for the purpose of comparison. The properties and appropriate conditions of the stress reduction factor, the first and second thermal shock resistance (TSR) parameters for the high and low Biot numbers, respectively, and the approximation formulas for the intermediate Biot number-interval are discussed. To investigate the TSR of ceramics more accurately, it is recommended to combine the heat transfer theory with the theory of thermoelasticity or fracture mechanics or use a numerical method. The critical rupture temperature difference and the critical rup- ture dimensionless time can be used to characterize the TSR of ceramics intuitively and legibly.  相似文献

A computational model is proposed for short-fiber reinforced materials with the eigenstrain formulation of the boundary integral equations(BIE)and solved with the newly developed boundary point method(BPM).The model is closely derived from the concept of the equivalent inclusion of Eshelby tensors.Eigenstrains are iteratively determined for each short.fiber embedded in the matrix with various properties via the Eshelby tensors, which can be readily obtained beforehand either through analytical or numerical means. As unknown variables appear only on the boundary of the solution domain, the solution scale of the inhomogeneity problem with the model is greatly reduced. This feature is considered significant because such a traditionally time-consuming problem with inhomogeneity can be solved most cost-effectively compared with existing numerical models of the FEM or the BEM.The numerical examples are presented to compute the overall elastic properties for various short-fiber reinforced composites over a representative volume element(RVE),showing the validity and the effectiveness of the proposed computational modal and the solution procedure.  相似文献

The low-order polynomial-distributed eigenstrain formulation of the boundary integral equation (BIE) and the corresponding definition of the Eshelby tensors are proposed for the elliptical inhomogeneities in two-dimensional elastic media. Taking the results of the traditional subdomain boundary element method (BEM) as the control, the effectiveness of the present algorithm is verified for the elastic media with a single elliptical inhomogeneity. With the present computational model and algorithm, significant improvements are achieved in terms of the efficiency as compared with the traditional BEM and the accuracy as compared with the constant eigenstrain formulation of the BIE.  相似文献

This paper first presents the Eshelby tensors and stress concentration tensors for a spherical inhomogeneity with a graded shell embedded in an alien infinite matrix. The solution is then specialized to inhomogeneous inclusions in finite spherical domains with fixed displacement or traction-free boundary conditions. The Eshelby tensors in the infinite and finite domains and the stress concentration tensors are especially useful for solving many problems in mechanics and materials science. This is demonstrated on two examples. In the first example, the strain distributions in core-shell nanoparticles with eigenstrains induced by lattice mismatches are calculated using the Eshelby tensors in the finite domains. In the second example, the Eshelby and stress concentration tensors in the three-phase configuration are used to formulate the generalized self-consistent prediction of the effective moduli of composites containing spherical particles within the framework of the equivalent inclusion method. The advantage of this micromechanical scheme is that, whilst its predictions are almost identical to the classical generalized self-consistent method and the third-order approximation, the expressions for the effective moduli have simple closed forms.  相似文献

A solution for Eshelby's inclusion problem of a finite homogeneous isotropic elastic body containing an inclusion prescribed with a uniform eigenstrain and a uniform eigenstrain gradient is derived in a general form using a simplified strain gradient elasticity theory (SSGET). An extended Betti's reciprocal theorem and an extended Somigliana's identity based on the SSGET are proposed and utilized to solve the finite-domain inclusion problem. The solution for the disturbed displacement field is expressed in terms of the Green's function for an infinite three-dimensional elastic body in the SSGET. It contains a volume integral term and a surface integral term. The former is the same as that for the infinite-domain inclusion problem based on the SSGET, while the latter represents the boundary effect. The solution reduces to that of the infinite-domain inclusion problem when the boundary effect is not considered. The problem of a spherical inclusion embedded concentrically in a finite spherical elastic body is analytically solved by applying the general solution, with the Eshelby tensor and its volume average obtained in closed forms. This Eshelby tensor depends on the position, inclusion size, matrix size, and material length scale parameter, and, as a result, can capture the inclusion size and boundary effects, unlike existing Eshelby tensors. It reduces to the classical Eshelby tensor for the spherical inclusion in an infinite matrix if both the strain gradient and boundary effects are suppressed. Numerical results quantitatively show that the inclusion size effect can be quite large when the inclusion is very small and that the boundary effect can dominate when the inclusion volume fraction is very high. However, the inclusion size effect is diminishing as the inclusion becomes large enough, and the boundary effect is vanishing as the inclusion volume fraction gets sufficiently low.  相似文献

In this work, a modeling of electroelastic composite materials is proposed. The extension of the heterogeneous inclusion problem of Eshelby for elastic to electroelastic behavior is formulated in terms of four interaction tensors related to Eshelby’s electroelastic tensors. Analytical formulations of interaction tensors are presented for ellipsoidal inclusions. These tensors are basically used to derive the self-consistent model, Mori–Tanaka and dilute approaches. Numerical solutions are based on numerical computations of these tensors for various types of inclusions. Using the obtained results, effective electroelastic moduli of piezoelectric multiphase composites are investigated by an iterative procedure in the context of self-consistent scheme. Generalised Mori–Tanaka’s model and dilute approach are re-formulated and the three models are deeply analysed. Concentration tensors corresponding to each model are presented and relationships of effective coefficients are given. Numerical results of effective electroelastic moduli are presented for various types of piezoelectric inclusions and for various orientations and compared to existing experimental and theoretical ones.  相似文献

The stress field due to a half-plane inhomogeneity with plane eigenstrain is obtained by a limiting procedure from the one of a circular Eshelby inhomogeneity/inclusion. This field, which requires tractions to be applied at infinity to be sustained, has minimum strain energy versus any other superposed homogeneous one, and is the Eshelby solution inside plus the Hill jump conditions. By superposition, the stresses due to an infinite strip (Eshelby property domain) inhomogeneity with eigenstrain are obtained, and, by superposition periodic strips or laminates can be obtained. By cancelling the stresses on a free-surface, strips of inclusions meeting a free surface are solved. They exhibit tensile stresses under the free surface, and logarithmic singularities in the tensile stress at the vertex, which may initiate cracking. The Eshelby self-forces on the boundary of circular and half-plane inhomogeneities are computed.  相似文献

In recent papers the finite Eshelby tensors for a concentrically placed spherical inclusion in a finite spherical domain have been computed and applied to numerous micromechanical problems. The present work is the extension of the computation of finite Eshelby tensors to general inclusions that are axisymmetric with respect to enclosing spherical domain. The problem of finding the finite Eshelby tensors is transformed into the integral equation. It is shown in the paper that the integral equation has a unique solution. Existence of the solution is proved by exploiting the symmetry of the problem which induce invariant subspaces of the integral equation. In the particular case for a excentrically placed spherical inclusion the problem is explicitly solved. Using computer algebra the solution is found in a closed form up to the second order.  相似文献

It is still a challenge to clarify the dependence of overall elastic properties of heterogeneous materials on the microstructures of non-elliposodal inhomogeneities (cracks, pores, foreign particles). From the theory of elasticity, the formulation of the perturbance elastic fields, coming from a non-ellipsoidal inhomogeneity embedded in an infinitely extended material with remote constant loading, inevitably involve one or more integral equations. Up to now, due to the mathematical difficulty, there is almost no explicit analytical solution obtained except for the ellipsoidal inhomogeneity. In this paper, we point out the impossibility to transform this inhomogeneity problem into a conventional Eshelby problem by the equivalent inclusion method even if the eigenstrain is chosen to be non-uniform. We also build up an equivalent model, called the second Eshelby problem, to investigate the perturbance stress. It is probably a better template to make use of the profound methods and results of conventional Eshelby problems of non-ellipsoidal inclusions.  相似文献

Starting from Eshelby’s solution of the equivalent inclusion problem, an approximate solution is proposed in order to model interface debonding of a spherical inhomogeneity isolated in a uniform matrix. Both phases are linear elastic but the interface traction-separation law is non-linear. A semi-analytical incremental model is developed which is suitable for any type of loading. For computational efficiency, the model relies on two simplifying assumptions: (i) the eigenstrain is uniform inside the inhomogeneity and (ii) the interface compliance is averaged over inhomogeneity’s surface when computing the average strain within the inhomogeneity. An extensive parametric study is conducted for three loading modes and 144 combinations of non-dimensional parameters. The predictions are assessed against full-field finite element solutions based on two error measures of the mean stress field inside the inhomogeneity. The results show that the mean error value is acceptable in all cases and indicate the parameter ranges for which the model is most accurate.  相似文献

The Eshelby problem consists in determining the strain field of an infinite linearly elastic homogeneous medium due to a uniform eigenstrain prescribed over a subdomain, called inclusion, of the medium. The salient feature of Eshelby's solution for an ellipsoidal inclusion is that the strain tensor field inside the latter is uniform. This uniformity has the important consequence that the solution to the fundamental problem of determination of the strain field in an infinite linearly elastic homogeneous medium containing an embedded ellipsoidal inhomogeneity and subjected to remote uniform loading can be readily deduced from Eshelby's solution for an ellipsoidal inclusion upon imposing appropriate uniform eigenstrains. Based on this result, most of the existing micromechanics schemes dedicated to estimating the effective properties of inhomogeneous materials have been nevertheless applied to a number of materials of practical interest where inhomogeneities are in reality non-ellipsoidal. Aiming to examine the validity of the ellipsoidal approximation of inhomogeneities underlying various micromechanics schemes, we first derive a new boundary integral expression for calculating Eshelby's tensor field (ETF) in the context of two-dimensional isotropic elasticity. The simple and compact structure of the new boundary integral expression leads us to obtain the explicit expressions of ETF and its average for a wide variety of non-elliptical inclusions including arbitrary polygonal ones and those characterized by the finite Laurent series. In light of these new analytical results, we show that: (i) the elliptical approximation to the average of ETF is valid for a convex non-elliptical inclusion but becomes inacceptable for a non-convex non-elliptical inclusion; (ii) in general, the Eshelby tensor field inside a non-elliptical inclusion is quite non-uniform and cannot be replaced by its average; (iii) the substitution of the generalized Eshelby tensor involved in various micromechanics schemes by the average Eshelby tensor for non-elliptical inhomogeneities is in general inadmissible.  相似文献
