In this paper, we discuss waves in piezoelectric periodic composite, with the emphasis on the connection between the electromechanical coupling and the effects of dispersion of Bloch-Floquet waves. A particular attention is given to structures containing interfaces between dissimilar media and localization of the electrical fields near such interfaces.  相似文献

The harmonics of plane longitudinal and trans-verse waves in nonlinear elastic solids with up to cubic nonlinearity in a one-dimensional setting are investigated in this paper. It is shown that due to quadratic nonlinearity, a transverse wave generates a second longitudinal harmonic. This propagates with the velocity of transverse waves, as well as resonant transverse first and third harmonics due to the cubic and quadratic nonlinearities. A longitudinal wave generates a resonant longitudinal second harmonic, as well as first and third harmonics with amplitudes that increase linearly and quadratically with distance propagated. In a second investigation, incidence from the linear side of a pri-mary wave on an interface between a linear and a nonlinear elastic solid is considered. The incident wave crosses the interface and generates a harmonic with interface conditions that are equilibrated by compensatory waves propagating in two directions away from the interface. The back-propagated compensatory wave provides information on the nonlinear elastic constants of the material behind the interface. It is shown that the amplitudes of the compensatory waves can be increased by mixing two incident longitudinal waves of appropriate frequencies.  相似文献

The dynamic interaction of two collinear interface cracks between two dissimilar functionally graded piezoelectric/piezomagnetic material strips subjected to the anti-plane shear harmonic stress waves was investigated. By using the Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with the help of a pair of triple integral equations in which the unknown variable is jump of displacement across the crack surfaces. These equations are solved using the Schmidt method. Numerical examples are provided to show the effect of the functionally graded parameter, the circular frequency of the incident waves and the thickness of the strip upon stress, electric displacement and magnetic flux intensity factors of cracks.  相似文献

A modified SIMPLEC method which can solve compressible flows at low Mach number is introduced and used to study thermoacoustic waves induced by a rapid change of temperature at a solid wall and alternatingdirection flows generated by thermoacoustic effects in a tapered resonator.The results indicate that the algorithm adopted in this paper can be used for calculating compressible flows and thermoacoustic waves.It is found that the pressure and velocity in the resonator behave as standing waves,and the tapered resonator can suppress highfrequency harmonic waves as observed in a cylindrical resonator.  相似文献

A new higher-order continuum model is proposed by considering the coupling and lane changing effects of the vehicles on two adjacent lanes. A stability analysis of the proposed model provides the conditions that ensure its linear stability. Issues related to lane changing, shock waves and rarefaction waves, local clustering and phase transition are also investigated with numerical experiments. The simulation results show that the proposed model is capable of providing explanations to some particular traffic phenomena commonly observable in real traffic flows.  相似文献

The propagation of surface acoustic waves in layered piezoelectric structures withinitial stresses is investigated.The phase velocity equations are obtained for electrically free andshorted cases,respectively.Effects of the initial stresses on the phase velocity and the electrome-chanical coupling coefficient for the fundamental mode of the layered piezoelectric structures arediscussed.Numerical results for the c-axis oriented fihn of LiNbO_3 on a sapphire substrate aregiven.It is found that the fractional change in phase velocity is a linear function with the ini-tial stresses,and the electromechanical coupling factor increases with an increase of the absolutevalues of the compressive initial stresses.The results are useful for the design of surface acousticwave devices.  相似文献
