Bifurcation analyses are performed using the methods of multiple scales and harmonic balance in order to investigate the chatter vibration characteristics of a nonlinear turning system with state-dependent delay. In this study, the tool of the turning system is modeled as a two degrees of freedom oscillator and both the nonlinear stiffness and the nonlinear cutting force are considered. Prior to performing the bifurcation analyses, the nonlinear cutting force is appropriately expanded using a Taylor series, and an eigenanalysis is performed on the linearized system to obtain the linear stability boundaries. The bifurcation analyses are then performed and examined to explain the effect of state-dependent delay on the small- and large-amplitude behavior of the turning system. Analytic results derived from this study are validated through direct comparison with numerical results.  相似文献

A new active control method is presented to attenuate vibrations of a flexible beam with nonlinear hysteresis and time delay. The nonlinear and hysteretic behavior of the system is illustrated by the Bouc—Wen model. By specific transformation and augmentation of state parameters, we can convert the motion equation of the system with explicit time delay to the standard state space representation without any explicit time delay. Then the instantaneous optimal control method and Runge—Kutta method in fourth-order are applied to the controller design with time delay. Finally, in order to verify the effectivity of the time-delay controller proposed, numerical simulations are implemented. It is indicated by the simulation results that the control performance will deteriorate if neglect the time delay in process of the controller design and proposed time delay controller works well with both small and large time delay problems.  相似文献

We consider the question of when delay systems, which are intrinsically infinite dimensional, can be represented by finite dimensional systems. Specifically, we give conditions for when all the information about the solutions of the delay system can be obtained from the solutions of a finite system of ordinary differential equations. For linear autonomous systems and linear systems with time-dependent input we give necessary and sufficient conditions and in the nonlinear case we give sufficient conditions. Most of our results for linear renewal and delay differential equations are known in different guises. The novelty lies in the approach which is tailored for applications to models of physiologically structured populations. Our results on linear systems with input and nonlinear systems are new.  相似文献

In this paper, the propagation of a nonlinear delay SIR epidemic using the double epidemic hypothesis is modeled. In the model, a system of impulsive functional differential equations is studied and the sufficient conditions for the global attractivity of the semi-trivial periodic solution are drawn. By use of new computational techniques for impulsive differential equations with delay, we prove that the system is permanent under appropriate conditions. The results show that time delay, pulse vaccination, and nonlinear incidence have significant effects on the dynamics behaviors of the model. The conditions for the control of the infection caused by viruses A and B are given.  相似文献

对一个带有时滞非线性动力吸振器的两自由度结构,采用多尺度法研究了时滞非线性动力吸振器对主系统的减振性能,得到了主系统的振幅-时滞响应曲线.研究结果表明,对时滞非线性动力吸振器,可以通过调节反馈增益系数和时滞控制主系统的振动. 研究还发现,对确定的反馈增益系数,可以存在时滞的一些调节区域,时滞非线性动力吸振器可以减小主系统的振动. 并且在时滞的这些可调区域里,存在一个``最大减振点'对应这一反馈增益系数下主系统振幅的最小值.对不同的反馈增益系数,``最大减振点'对应的主系统的振幅也不同.因此能够找到一组反馈增益系数和时滞量的最佳值,最大程度地减小主系统的振动.研究结果表明,当反馈增益系数和时滞量调到最佳值时,主系统的振动较无时滞非线性动力吸振器可以减少90{\%}左右, 数值模拟也证实了解析结果的正确性.   相似文献

本文以结构物承受周期激励地震波和具有时滞的弹性地基为背景,研究时滞对于结构物振动响应的影响规律。问胚的数学模型是一个非线性参数激励时滞系统,采用中心流形和平均法得到Hopf分岔方程,研究结果表明时滞量对结构物的地震响应有重要影响,它可使响应振幅增大,意味着结构物遭破坏的危险性增大,同时,结果也表明可以通过阻尼控制器克服时滞引起的危险性。最后,对于不同的时滞量,比较理论分析与数值模拟结果基本吻合,说明了本文结果的可靠性。  相似文献

This study aims to show that a multiple delay feedback control method can stabilize unstable fixed points of time-delay nonlinear oscillators. The boundary curves of stability in a control parameter space are derived using linear stability analysis. A simple procedure for designing a feedback gain is provided. The main advantage of this procedure is that the designed controller can stabilize a system even if the controller delay times are long. These analytical results are experimentally verified using electronic circuits.  相似文献

The approximate nonstationary probability density of a nonlinear single-degree-of-freedom (SDOF) oscillator with time delay subject to Gaussian white noises is studied. First, the time-delayed terms are approximated by those without time delay and the original system can be rewritten as a nonlinear stochastic system without time delay. Then, the stochastic averaging method based on generalized harmonic functions is used to obtain the averaged Itô equation for amplitude of the system response and the associated Fokker–Planck–Kolmogorov (FPK) equation governing the nonstationary probability density of amplitude is deduced. Finally, the approximate solution of the nonstationary probability density of amplitude is obtained by applying the Galerkin method. The approximate solution is expressed as a series expansion in terms of a set of properly selected basis functions with time-dependent coefficients. The proposed method is applied to predict the responses of a Van der Pol oscillator and a Duffing oscillator with time delay subject to Gaussian white noise. It is shown that the results obtained by the proposed procedure agree well with those obtained from Monte Carlo simulation of the original systems.  相似文献

This paper describes a robust, accurate and efficient scheme based on a cubic spline interpolation. The proposed scheme is applied to approximate variable-order fractional integrals and is extended to solve a class of nonlinear variable-order fractional equations with delay. Modified Hutchinson equation and delay Ikeda equation are solved using the proposed scheme. The efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method are analyzed in the perspective of the mean absolute error and experimental convergence order. Numerical results confirm the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed scheme.  相似文献

We implement the method of multiple scales to investigate primary resonances of a weakly nonlinear second-order delay system with cubic nonlinearities. In contrast to previous studies where the implementation is confined to the assumption of linear delay terms with small coefficients (Hu et al. in Nonlinear Dyn. 15:311, 1998; Ji and Leung in Nonlinear Dyn. 253:985, 2002), in this effort, we propose a modified approach which alleviates that assumption and permits treating a problem with arbitrarily large gains. The modified approach lumps the delay state into unknown linear damping and stiffness terms that are functions of the gain and delay. These unknown functions are determined by enforcing the linear part of the steady-state solution acquired via the method of multiple scales to match that obtained directly by solving the forced linear problem. We examine the validity of the modified procedure by comparing its results to solutions obtained via a harmonic balance approach. Several examples are discussed demonstrating the ability of the proposed methodology to predict the amplitude, softening-hardening characteristics, and stability of the resulting steady-state responses. Analytical results also reveal that the system can exhibit responses with different nonlinear characteristics near its multiple delay frequencies.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the stability and bifurcation of a class of coupled nonlinear relative rotation system with multi-time delay feedbacks. Using dissipative system Lagrange equation, the dynamics equation of coupled nonlinear relative rotation system with three masses is established. The dynamical behaviors of the system under multi-time delay feedbacks, with two state variables, are discussed. First, characteristic roots and the stable regions of time delay are determined by direct method. The relation between two time delays ratio or time delay feedbacks gains and the stable regions of time delay is analyzed. Second, the direction and stability of Hopf bifurcation are decided by normal form theorem and center manifold argument. Finally, numerical simulation can confirm the validity of the conclusion.  相似文献

The time-delayed feedback control for a supersonic airfoil results in interesting aeroelastic behaviors. The effect of time delay on the aeroelastic dynamics of a two-dimensional supersonic airfoil with a feedback control surface is investigated. Specifically, the case of a 3-dof system is considered in detail, where the structural nonlinearity is introduced in the mathematical model. The stability analysis is conducted for the linearized system. It is shown that there is a small parameter region for delay-independently stability of the system. Once the controlled system with time delay is not delay-independently stable, the system may undergo the stability switches with the variation of the time delay. The nonlinear aeroelastic system undergoes a sequence of Hopf bifurcations if the time delay passes the critical values. Using the normal form method and center manifold theory, the direction of the Hopf bifurcation and stability of Hopf-bifurcating periodic solutions are determined. Numerical simulations are performed to illustrate the obtained results.  相似文献

本文研究了弹性地基上梁主共振响应的时滞效应.基于Hamilton原理,建立了时滞影响下弹性地基上梁的非线性运动微分方程,采用多尺度法,求得了时滞效应下主共振响应调制方程以及稳定性条件.通过数值算例,分析了时滞和调谐参数影响下主共振响应的峰值及幅频响应特性.结果表明,地基反力中的时滞效应对主共振响应影响较大,会导致共振域偏移,在一定区间内,响应幅值随时滞变化先减小再增大,呈现出周期性,并导致幅频曲线弯曲程度增大.  相似文献

For an absorber with the magnetic action and the delayed feedback, the equivalent strongly nonlinear model of the magnet force is proposed. We develop an identification algorithm with correcting distorted output measurement to identify and estimate the relevant parameters of the equivalently nonlinear model and the time delay in the feedback loop. The detailed steps of the algorithm are given analytically. We configure an experimental device of a delayed electromechanical absorber with action of the nonlinear magnetic force. The new algorithm is employed to identify the relative parameters of the device, such as time delay, damping and nonlinear stiffness, based on data of the output measurement with distortion. The results show that it is reasonable that the magnet action may be equivalent to the cubic nonlinear force. One may also see that the new algorithm may treat the experimental distorting measurement and correct it as long as the measurement still keeps periodicity. As an important result, values of the identified parameters with the correcting distortion are closer to those of the original measurement than those without the no correcting distortion for some excitation frequencies. It means that the algorithm may correct the polluted measurement, so that the quality of the identification is greatly improved. The new algorithm may be useful for design of nonlinear electromechanical absorber with time-delayed feedback.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the problem of memory state feedback stabilization for a class of nonlinear discrete-time networked control systems with partly known probability distribution of input delay. Different from the common assumptions on the delay in the existing literatures, it is assumed that the probabilities of the delay taking values in a finite set are partly known or fully known in advance. In terms of the information about the occurrence probabilities of the delay taking values in the two finite sets, a new stochastic delay model is proposed, where the probability information of the delay is included in the parameter matrices of the transformed system. Based on the new model, a delay-dependent stabilization criterion is derived using a combination of the Lyapunov functional method, convexity of matrix inequalities, and linear matrix inequality technique. Finally, three illustrative examples are provided to show the effectiveness and applicability of the developed theoretical results.  相似文献

This paper investigates generalized outer synchronization between two uncertain dynamical networks with a novel feature that the couplings of each network are unknown functions. With nonlinear control schemes, two sufficient criteria for generalized outer synchronization with or without time delay are obtained by Lyapunov stability theory and Barbalat’s lemma. Our results are valid for many studies of the couplings inside each network being linear or nonlinear. Finally, numerical simulations are given to verify the effectiveness of the control schemes.  相似文献

This paper presents a new technique using a recurrent non-singleton type-2 sequential fuzzy neural network (RNT2SFNN) for synchronization of the fractional-order chaotic systems with time-varying delay and uncertain dynamics. The consequent parameters of the proposed RNT2SFNN are learned based on the Lyapunov–Krasovskii stability analysis. The proposed control method is used to synchronize two non-identical and identical fractional-order chaotic systems, with time-varying delay. Also, to demonstrate the performance of the proposed control method, in the other practical applications, the proposed controller is applied to synchronize the master–slave bilateral teleoperation problem with time-varying delay. Simulation results show that the proposed control scenario results in good performance in the presence of external disturbance, unknown functions in the dynamics of the system and also time-varying delay in the control signal and the dynamics of system. Finally, the effectiveness of proposed RNT2SFNN is verified by a nonlinear identification problem and its performance is compared with other well-known neural networks.  相似文献

The present work investigates the chaotic responses of a nonlinear seven degree-of-freedom ground vehicle model. The disturbances from the road are assumed to be sinusoid and the time delay between the disturbances is investigated. Numerical results show that the responses of the vehicle model could be chaotic. With the bifurcation phenomenon detected, the chaotic motion is confirmed with the dominant Lyapunov exponent. The results can be useful in dynamic design of a vehicle.  相似文献

随着对自然界客观规律的深入认识,工程系统设计的精细化和复杂性要求也与日剧增.在许多耦合的动态系统设计过程中要考虑由耦合过程的时滞所引发的动力学行为,该时滞来自于与传感系统、作动系统和控制系统耦合的过程.耦合时滞也广泛存在于交通、系统生物学、电子通讯、神经和信息网络等技术中.本文首先从耦合时滞出发,在以时滞为中心的耦合系统复杂动力学机制、时滞镇定耦合系统的实验基础和实现、快慢变时滞耦合系统动力学和时滞神经网络同步和去同步4个方面,对耦合时滞诱发的动力学研究进展进行综述.着重介绍了时滞耦合系统中耦合时滞诱发的高余维分岔奇异性及新的定量分析方法、中立型时滞微分方程的规范型计算、具有耦合时滞的非线性系统中耦合时滞和非线性参数的辨识方法与实验实现、快慢变时滞耦合系统的张弛振荡、耦合时滞诱发的网络系统的同步模式切换等问题的研究进展;然后在应用方面重点介绍了车床磨削加工过程中耦合时滞诱发的颤振及其机理、具有惯性项和耦合时滞的神经网络系统中耦合时滞诱发的高余维分岔和复杂动力学、时滞动力吸振器与隔振装置的设计与实验实现.最后,从耦合时滞系统的一般性理论和工程应用两个方面展望了近期值得关注的一些问题.  相似文献
