The flow in the boundary layer in the vicinity of the stagnation point of a flat plate is examined. The outer stream consists of turbulent flow of the jet type, directed normally to the plate. Assumptions concerning the connection between the pulsations in velocity and temperature in the boundary layer and the average parameters chosen on the basis of experimental data made it possible to obtain an isomorphic solution of the boundary layer equations. Equations are obtained for the friction and heat transfer at the wall in the region of gradient flow taking into account the effect of the turbulence of the impinging stream. It is shown that the friction at the wall is insensitive to the turbulence of the impinging stream, while the heat transfer is significantly increased with an increase in the pulsations of the outer flow. These properties are confirmed by the results of experimental studies [1–4].Translated from Zhurnal Prikladnoi Mekhaniki i Tekhnicheskoi Fiziki, No. 5, pp. 83–87, September–October, 1973.  相似文献

Approximating dependences of the local coefficients of friction, heat transfer, and pressure induced by a boundary layer on the generalized similarity parameters, including the inviscid flow characteristics, are obtained on the basis of the results of a numerical calculation of hypersonic flow past a number of plane and axisymmetric bodies. If the inviscid flow characteristics are known, these relations can be used to take the viscosity approximately into account under conditions of interaction between the laminar boundary layer and the hypersonic inviscid stream [1].Moscow. The problem of interaction of gas-dust flows with solid surfaces arose in connection with the study of the motion of aircraft in a dusty atmosphere [1–2], the motion of a gas suspension in power generators, and in a number of other applications [3]. The presence of a disperse admixture may lead to a significant increase in the heat fluxes [4] and to erosion of the surface [5]. These phenomena are due to the joint influence of several factors — the change in the structure of the carrier-phase boundary layer due to the presence of the particles, collisions of the particles with the surface, roughness of the ablating surface, and so forth. This paper continues an investigation begun earlier [6–7] into the influence of particles on the structure of the dynamical and thermal two-phase boundary layer formed around a blunt body in a flow. The model of the dusty gas [8] has an incompressible carrier phase. The method of matched asymptotic expansions [9] is used to obtain the equations of the two-phase boundary layer. In the frame-work of the refined classification made by Stulov [6], it is shown that the form of the boundary layer equations is different in the presence and absence of inertial precipitation of the particles. The equations are solved numerically in the neighborhood of the stagnation point of the blunt body. The temperature and phase velocity distributions in the boundary layer, and also the friction coefficients and the heat transfer of the carrier phase are found for a wide range of the determining parameters. In the case of an admixture of low-inertia particles that are not precipitated on the body, it is shown that even when the mass concentration of the particles in the undisturbed flow is small their accumulation in the boundary layer can lead to a sharp increase in the thermal fluxes at the stagnation point.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 99–107, September–October, 1985.I thank V. A study is made of plane laminar Couette flow, in which foreign particles are injected through the upper boundary. The effect of the particles on friction and heat transfer is analyzed on the basis of the equations of two-fluid theory. A two-phase boundary layer on a plate has been considered in [1, 2] with the effect of the particles on the gas flow field neglected. A solution has been obtained in [3] for a laminar boundary layer on a plate with allowance for the dynamic and thermal effects of the particles on the gas parameters. There are also solutions for the case of the impulsive motion of a plate in a two-phase medium [4–6], and local rotation of the particles is taken into account in [5, 6]. The simplest model accounting for the effect of the particles on friction and heat transfer for the general case, when the particles are not in equilibrium with the gas at the outer edge of the boundary layer, is Couette flow. This type of flow with particle injection and a fixed surface has been considered in [7] under the assumptions of constant gas viscosity and the simplest drag and heat-transfer law. A solution for an accelerated Couette flow without particle injection and with a wall has been obtained in [6]. In the present paper fairly general assumptions are used to obtain a numerical solution of the problem of two-phase Couette flow with particle injection, and simple formulas useful for estimating the effect of the particles on friction and heat transfer are also obtained.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 42–46, May–June, 1976.  相似文献

It is known that the longitudinal pressure gradient can exert a strong influence on the friction law and the characteristics of a dynamic turbulent boundary layer. The thermal and diffusion boundary layers are more conservative to the effect of the pressure gradient, and, hence, methods of analyzing them are based, in the majority of cases, on the hypothesis of conservativity of the heat- and mass-transfer laws to the longitudinal pressure gradient [1]. This hypothesis is verified by experimental results [2, 3] on heat transfer on an impermeable surface in a turbulent stream with positive pressure gradient under almost isothermal conditions. However, such investigations under nonisothermal conditions are practically nonexistent. An approximate theoretical analysis of the heat transfer in a turbulent boundary layer of a nonisothermal stream with a positive pressure gradient is given in this paper. Experimental results are presented. The experimental investigation was conducted in a burned-out graphite diffuser both with and without injection of an inert gas through the wall.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 4, pp. 43–49, July–August, 1976.  相似文献

The need for the inclusion of end-wall boundary layers in the study of the aerodynamics of vortex chambers has been frequently mentioned in the literature. However, owing to limited experimental data [1–3] with reliable information on the wall layers, the existing computational methods for end-wall boundary layers are not well-founded. The question of which parameters determine the formation of end-wall flow remains debatable. In some studies [4, 5], the vortex chambers are conditionally divided into short and long chambers. However, there is no unique opinion on the role of end-wall flows in vortex chambers of different lengths. It has also not been established for what geometric and flow parameters the chamber could be considered long or short. In the present study, as in [1, 5–8], solution is obtained for the end-wall boundary-layer equations using integral methods, considering the boundary layer in the radial direction in the form of a submerged wall jet. Such an approach made it possible to use the laws for the development of wall jets [9], and obtain fairly simple relations for integral parameters, skin friction, mass flow in the boundary layer, and other characteristics. Results are compared with available experimental data and computations of others authors; turbulent flow is considered; results for laminar boundary layer are given in [10].Translated from Zhurnal Prikladnoi Mekhaniki i Tekhnicheskoi Fiziki, No. 5, pp. 117–126, September–October, 1986.  相似文献

An asymptotic model of the flow in the laminar boundary layer of a gas-evaporating droplet mixture is constructed within the framework of the two-continuum approximation. The case of evaporation of the droplets into an atmosphere of their own vapor is examined in detail with reference to the example of longitudinal flow over a hot flat plate. Numerical and asymptotic solutions of the boundary layer equations constructed are found for a number of limiting situations (low droplet concentration, no droplet deposition, significant droplet deposition). The development of the flow with respect to the longitudinal coordinate is studied and it is shown that in the absence of droplet deposition a region of pure vapor may be formed near the surface. Similarity criteria are established and the mechanism of surface heat transfer enhancement is studied for a low evaporating droplet concentration in the boundary layer. In the inertial deposition regime the results of calculating the integral heat transfer coefficient are found to correspond with the experimental data [1].Translated from Izvestiya Rossiiskoi Akademii Nauk, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No.3, pp. 42–50, May–June, 1992.  相似文献

Self-similar solutions are obtained in [1, 2] to the Navier-Stokes equations in gaps with completely porous boundaries and with Reynolds number tending to infinity. Approximate asymptotic solutions are also known for the Navier-Stokes equations for plane and annular gaps in the neighborhood of the line of spreading of the flow [3, 4]. A number of authors [5–8] have discovered and studied the effect of increase in the stability of a laminar flow regime in channels of the type considered and a significant increase in the Reynolds number of the transition from the laminar regime to the turbulent in comparison with the flow in a pipe with impermeable walls. In the present study a numerical solution is given to the system of Navier-Stokes equations for plane and annular gaps with a single porous boundary in the neighborhood of the line of spreading of the flow on a section in which the values of the local Reynolds number definitely do not exceed the critical values [5–8]. Generalized dependences are obtained for the coefficients of friction and heat transfer on the impermeable boundary. A comparison is made between the solutions so obtained and the exact solutions to the boundary layer equations.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 21–24, January–February, 1987.  相似文献

In many technological processes, thin extended layers of nonuniformly heated fluid are used [1–3]. If they are sufficiently thin, thermocapillary forces have a decisive influence on the occurrence and development of motion of the fluid [4–6]. Investigation of convective motion in such a layer is of great interest for estimating the intensity of heat and mass transfer in technological processes. This paper is a study of unsteady thermocapillary motion in a layer of viscous incompressible fluid with free surface in which a thermal inhomogeneity is created at the initial time. Approximate expressions are obtained for the fields of the velocity, temperature, and pressure in the fluid, and also for the shape of the free surface.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 17–25, May–June, 1991.  相似文献

When a gas flows with hypersonic velocity over a slender blunt body, the bow shock induces large entropy gradients and vorticity near the wall in the disturbed flow region (in the high-entropy layer) [1]. The boundary layer on the body develops in an essentially inhomogeneous inviscid flow, so that it is necessary to take into account the difference between the values of the gas parameters on the outer edge of the boundary layer and their values on the wall in the inviscid flow. This vortex interaction is usually accompanied by a growth in the frictional stress and heat flux at the wall [2, 3]. In three-dimensional flows in which the spreading of the gas on the windward sections of the body causes the high-entropy layer to become narrower, the vortex interaction can be expected to be particularly important. The first investigations in this direction [4–6] studied the attachment lines of a three-dimensional boundary layer. The method proposed in the present paper for calculating the heat transfer generalizes the approach realized in [5] for the attachment lines and makes it possible to take into account this effect on the complete surface of a blunt body for three-dimensional laminar, transition, or turbulent flow regime in the boundary layer.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 80–87, January–February, 1981.  相似文献

Approximate analytic expressions for the local friction and heat transfer coefficients in a dusty laminar boundary layer are obtained and tested in the case of an incompressible carrier phase, power-law variation of the external gas flow velocity and small velocity and temperature phase disequilibrium. These expressions supplement the numerical analysis of the dusty boundary layer on a blunt body [1, 2] and the asymptotic calculation of the friction and heat transfer in a quasiequilibrium dusty gas boundary layer on a plate [3]. The combined effect of dustiness and pressure gradient on the friction and heat transfer coefficients is discussed. The results obtained can be used for the practical calculation of the friction and heat transfer in a quasiequilibrium dusty laminar boundary layer and for interpreting the corresponding experimental data. The problem of boundary layer flow on a nonconducting wall has been considered in [1–3]. Therein, it was assumed that either the problem is self-similar [1], or the solution was found in the form of a power series in a small parameter [2,3]. The objective of these assumptions is to reduce the boundary layer equations to ordinary differential equations. In the present work the problem is solved without making these assumptions. The distribution along the channel length of the frictional resistance and heat transfer coefficients on the wall are obtained, and the variation of these coefficients with the load parameter is studied.  相似文献

Many theoretical and experimental papers [1–4] have been devoted to investigating the turbulent boundary layer in the initial section of a channel. For the most part, however, the flow of an incompressible fluid with constant parameters is considered. There are many practical cases in which it is of interest to treat the development of the turbulent boundary layer of gas in the initial section of a pipe when conditions are strongly nonisothermal. A solution of a problem of this type, based on the theory of limit laws, is given in paper [1]. The present article extends this solution to the case of the flow of a high-enthalpy gas when the effect of gas dissociation on the turbulent boundary layer characteristics must be taken into account. We shall consider the flow of a mixture of i gases which is in a frozen state inside the boundary layer, and in an equilibrium state on its boundaries. Formulas are derived for the laws of friction and heat exchange, and a solution is given for the turbulent boundary layer equations in the initial section of the pipe when the wall temperature is constant and the gas flows at a subsonic velocity. Finally the authors are grateful to S. S. Kutateladze for discussing the paper.  相似文献

This study is concerned with the spin-down of a fluid between stationary cones. It follows on from [7], where solutions were obtained for a fluid spinning down between two infinite disks and where it was shown that under various initial conditions the dependence of the velocity on radius and time tends to a universal Kármán stage. In the case of cones the analogous universal stage is not of the Kármán type, which makes possible an experimental check of the applicability of the self-similar boundary layer equations generalizing the Karman equations previously considered in [11–13]. The experiments confirm the conclusions of the theory.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 4, pp. 37–44, July–August, 1986.In conclusion, the authors wish to thank A. The transition flow is considered of a fibrous suspension in a pipe. The flow region consists of two subregions: at the center of the flow a plug formed by interwoven fibers and fluid moves as a rigid body; between the solid wall and the plug is a boundary layer in which the suspension is a mixture of the liquid phase and fibers separated from the plug [1–3]. In the boundary region the suspension is simulated as an anisotropic Ericksen—Leslie fluid [4, 5] which satisfies certain additional conditions. Equations are obtained for the velocity profile and drag coefficient of the pipe, which are both qualitatively and quantitatively in good agreement with the experimental results [6–8]. Within the framework of the model, a mechanism is found for reducing the drag in the flow of a fibrous suspension as compared to the drag of its liquid phase.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 91–98, September–October, 1985.  相似文献

The stability of the flow of a heavy viscous fluid film flowing along the inclined phase-transition surface is examined. In contrast to [1] wherein it was assumed that a constant temperature is maintained on the free surface, it is assumed here that the fluid film is on the boundary with a gas jet which has finite specific heat and heat conduction. In this connection, the stability criteria differ substantially from [1].Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 4, pp. 10–18, July–August, 1974.  相似文献

The velocity and heat transfer fields near a vertical permeable surface with simultaneous convection are investigated. A solution is found for the boundary layer equations with known laws of surface temperature and flow velocity change. The transformed boundary layer equations contain the parameter G/R2, which determines the effect of free convection on friction and heat transfer for constrained motion. Calculations of friction and heat transfer as functions of draft (suction) with simultaneous convection are presented.Translated from Zhurnal Prikladnoi Mekhaniki i Tekhnicheskoi Fiziki, No. 2, pp. 96–100, March–April, 1973.  相似文献

The nonisothermal Blasius problem for a gas suspension is considered on the basis of the equations of a quasiequilibrium two-phase laminar boundary layer [1–3]. Approximate analytical expressions are obtained for the friction and heat transfer coefficients and their region of applicability is estimated; the Reynolds analogy between friction and convective heat transfer processes [4] is extended to the case of a dusty quasiequilibrium laminar boundary layer. The turbulent layer of a wall jet has been analyzed in many theoretical and experimental studies [1–10]. Most theoretical investigations are based on the simultaneous solution of the equations of the turbulent jet and the boundary layer that forms at the wall. The differences lie in the methods used to correlate the velocity and temperature distributions, as well as in the friction and heat-transfer laws employed. In this article we present a method based on the further development of the idea of conservation of the laws governing wall turbulence with respect to change in boundary conditions.  相似文献

A method is proposed for calculating two-dimensional leading turbulent separation regions based on the use of integral relations of boundary layer theory and integral characteristics of a three-parameter family of locally similar velocity profiles. The method makes it possible to calculate the characteristics of a turbulent boundary layer, including friction and heat transfer, without separation of discontinuities and special regions and to do this in both attached and separated flow regions.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhldkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 24–33, May–June, 1982.I thank V.
