Instabilities in inelastic saturated porous media are investigated here for general three-dimensional states under quasi-static loadings using a perturbation approach and focussing in particular on the two limiting cases of the onset of growth and of blowing up of perturbations.For associative flow rules for the skeleton, both onset of growth and blowing up of perturbations depend only on the underlying drained properties. Unbounded growth is obtained when the condition of localization for the underlying drained deformation (singularity of the drained acoustic tensor) is approached or just passed. Onset of growth has always a divergence growth character and critical conditions are always associated to the shortwavelength regime leading to the fact that the failure mode is expected to be a localized one.For non-associative behaviour of the skeleton we show in contrast that the onset of growth and unbounded growth may be defined either by the drained or undrained properties. One or the other depends on the details of the constitutive behaviour but also on the type of loadings. In particular, unbounded growth occurs when either the condition of localization under drained or undrained conditions is first passed. Transition from decaying to growing behaviour may have a divergence character or flutter-type character. Here the critical conditions are associated either to the shortwavelength or to the longwavelength regimes and therefore the failure mode may be localized or diffuse.The hierarchy between criticality of drained and undrained properties is analysed for a general class of constitutive equations and the results are fully and explicitly illustrated for saturated porous media with skeleton obeying Drucker-Prager like constitutive model.  相似文献

This paper treats the soil and rock or concrete as a two-phase medium composed of a solid skeleton and an interstitial fluid. Under the unsaturated condition of interstitial fluid, the third phase is taken into consideration. In this paper, we consider the constitutive relation, dynamic and kinematic relations, and also various approximations with their limits of validity, including those of most practical engineering situations such as the consolidation problem and the undrained behaviour. In this work, analytical and numerical solutions of the condition for discontinuous bifurcation of thermodynamically consistent gradient-based poroplastic materials are obtained and evaluated. The main aim is the analysis of the potentials for localized failure modes in the form of discontinuous bifurcation in partially saturated gradient-based poroplastic materials as well as the dependence of these potentials on the current hydraulic and stress conditions. Also the main differences with the localization conditions of the related local theory for poroplastic materials are evaluated to perfectly understand the regularization capabilities of the non-local gradient-based one. Firstly, the condition for discontinuous bifurcation is formulated from wave propagation analyses in poroplastic media. The material formulation employed in this work for the spectral properties evaluation of the discontinuous bifurcation condition is the thermodynamically consistent, gradient-based modified Cam Clay model for partially saturated porous media previously proposed by the authors. The main and novel feature of this constitutive theory is the inclusion of a gradient internal length of the porous phase which, together with the characteristic length of the solid skeleton, comprehensively defined the non-local characteristics of the represented porous material. After presenting the fundamental equations of the thermodynamically consistent gradient based poroplastic constitutive model, the analytical expressions of the critical hardening/softening modulus for discontinuous bifurcation under both drained and undrained conditions are obtained. As a particular case, the related local constitutive model is also evaluated from the discontinuous bifurcation condition stand point. Then, the localization analysis of the thermodynamically consistent non-local and local poroplastic Cam Clay theories is performed. The results demonstrate, on the one hand and related to the local poroplastic material, the decisive role of the pore pressure and of the volumetric non-associativity degree on the location of the transition point between ductile and brittle failure regimes in the stress space. On the other hand, the results demonstrate as well the regularization capabilities of the non-local gradient-based poroplastic theory, with exception of a particular stress condition which is also evaluated in this work. Finally, it is also shown that, due to dependence of the characteristic lengths for the pore and skeleton phases on the hydraulic and stress conditions, the non-local theory is able to reproduce the strong reduction of failure diffusion that takes place under both, low confinement and low pore pressure of partially saturated porous materials, without loosing, however, the ellipticity of the related differential equations.  相似文献

Two-dimensional stress waves in a general incompressible elastic solid are investigated. First, basic equations for simple waves and shock waves are presented for a general strain energy function. Then the characteristic wave speeds and the associated characteristic vectors are deduced. It is shown that there usually exist two simple waves and two shock waves. Finally, two examples are given for the case of plane strain deformation and antiplane strain deformation, respectively. It is proved that, in the case of plane strain deformation the oblique reflection problem of a plane shock is not solvable in general.  相似文献

In this paper a method of analysis for the drained and undrained behaviour of a saturated soil with an elastic anisotropic skeleton is proposed. The method depends upon embedding the problem in a series of problems depending upon a parameter, then expanding the solution in terms of that parameter. The method has the advantage that both the drained and undrained behaviour can be found simultaneously and the problems of a singular stiffness matrix usually associated with undrained behaviour of an elastic soil is avoided.  相似文献

川藏公路由于地质环境复杂、建设标准低、后遗病害多,抗灾能力差,泥石流、滑坡、山崩、雪害、水毁等自然灾害频繁发生,公路阻车断道严重。国家投入巨资进行整治改建,并取得了明显的效果,但由于自然环境特殊、影响因素复杂,许多特大型、大型工程地质病害问题还没有可行、可靠的解决方案。本文通过分析川藏公路沿线的地质环境和灾害特点,总结历年整治改建和经验的教训,提出川藏公路建设的途径、可能达到的目标和应采用的原则。  相似文献

成层饱和介质平面波斜入射问题的一维化时域方法   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
地震波斜入射下自由场的输入是大型结构抗震分析中亟待解决的问题之一,尤其是成层饱和多孔介质自由场问题,由于问题的复杂性,目前研究甚少. 本文基于Biot提出的饱和多孔介质动力方程,建立了一种新的求解平面波斜入射下基岩上覆饱和多孔介质成层场地自由场分析的一维化时域计算方法. 该方法首先根据Snell定律将饱和多孔介质二维空间问题转化为一维时域问题,通过对深度方向的有限元离散,得到饱和多孔介质波动问题的一维化有限元方程,然后采用单相弹性介质精确人工边界条件模拟基岩半空间的波动辐射和输入特征,通过考虑基岩与饱和多孔介质间透水或不透水边界条件以及不同饱和多孔介质交界面边界条件,形成基岩上覆成层饱和介质系统的整体有限元方程,最后采用中心差分法与Newmark平均加速度近似格式相结合的方法对时间进行离散,得到节点的动力时程的显式表达. 典型场地的地震反应分析表明,本文方法的计算结果与传递矩阵法结合傅里叶变换的计算结果完全吻合,证明了其有效性.   相似文献

Gas-permeable solid propellants possess great potential for producing high thrusts during extremely short time intervals. The paper presents a theoretical model describing the important physical phenomena taking place in both gaseous and solid phases in such two-phase, unsteady, reactive-flow systems. The governing equations were derived in the form of coupled, non-linear partial differential equations and the resulting formulation was compared with those used by previous authors. A stable, fast-converging, fully-implicit numerical method, first proposed by Spalding and implemented in a general-purpose computer program, was used to solve the equations, so that effects of importance can be studied. Solutions are presented that predict the pressure wave build-up and accelerating flame front for beds of granulated solid propellants fixed in a rigid enclosure, and in gun barrels with an accelerating projectile. The results show that the flame front accelerates and the rate of pressurization increases substantially in the downstream direction. Some discussion is given of the sensitivity of these predictions to the assumed constitutive relations for interphase heat and momentum transfer and the solid burning-rate law. It is argued that the controversy surrounding the hyperbolicity of the equations, which has delayed progress towards theoretical prediction of two-phase flows, is ill-founded, since the equations are shown to possess unique solutions, as indeed do the physical systems they represent.  相似文献
