The effect of strong exciton-phonon interaction on the excitonic Rabi oscillations in a coherently driven quantum dot in a high-Q single mode cavity is investigated theoretically. We show that the Rabi oscillation of exciton dressed by phonons can persists with the Rabi frequency ge^-λ/2 at absolute zero temperature, where g is the single-photon Rabi frequency and λ is the Huang-Rhys factor. The results also present that such coherent oscillations can be modified by manipulating the Rabi frequency of the driving field. 相似文献

We investigated the transport characteristics of Rabi oscillations, by using numerical methods, within a two-band tight-binding model driven by dc-ac electric fields. We found that Rabi oscillations make the long-time average current a sharply change, i.e. the current have resonant peaks appearing. Rabi oscillations are destroyed by dephasing; these peaks are the signatures of Rabi oscillations on the current response. The strong interband coupling will change the conditions of Rabi oscillations and, correspondingly, changes the places where the current resonant peaks appear. 相似文献

研究了脉冲激光激发下半导体量子点激子Rabi振荡中多能级过程引起的退相干特性.运用多能级粒子数运动方程组,分别计算和分析了三种多能级过程(双激子、浸润层泄漏以及俄歇俘获过程)对量子点中Rabi振荡衰减的影响.分析表明,双激子的影响在激发脉冲的脉宽较长时(>5ps)可以忽略;浸润层的泄漏虽然使得激子基态上粒子数振荡的振幅随着激发场的增强而减小,但是同时也导致了振荡平均值的减小;分析和讨论了两种俄歇俘获方式对激子振荡和复合发光的影响.

电路量子电动力学的实验实现了光与人造原子的超强耦合相互作用, 相互作用强度与光场频率在同一个数量级.在超强耦合区域, 著名的旋波近似失效, 因此系统的动力学必须用含有反旋波项的Rabi模型描述.本文研究Rabi模型中的光场压缩.数值模拟结果发现, 光场压缩不是随耦合强度线性增加, 而是在合适的超强区域获得最大值.同时, 我们还发现, 较小的反旋波项有助于提高光场压缩.所得结果有利于实验上在超强区域中制备所需的压缩态.

The Rabi oscillations in two-component Bose-Einstein condensates with a coupling drive are studiedby means of a pair of bosonic operators. The coupling drive and initial phase difference will affect the amplitudeand the period of the Rabi oscillations. We investigate the quantum coherence effects of a cycling transition Fe=0(←→)Fg=1, which is saturated and probed by the circular polarized fields, and is subject to a linearly polarized field and a magnetic field.Saturation field is applied in the case of the maximum coherence between the drive Rabi frequency and magnetic field, corresponding to the electromagnetically induced absorption (EIA) with negative dispersion found by Gu et al.In a small saturation Rabi frequency, the holes are burned in two Autler-Towns peaks outside two symmetric electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) windows due to the two-photon resonance.When the saturation Rabi frequency is comparable with the drive Rabi frequency, the holes caused by the coherent population oscillation appear in the EIA spectrum.Continuing to increase the saturation Rabi frequency, we observe several emission peaks due to the Mollow absorption effects.Simultaneously, four-wave mixing (FWM) effects in this process are discussed.In the picture of dressed states, we explain the multi-peaks of quantum efficiency of FWM in terms of the multi-photon resonance conditions.We also find a good agreement between the absorption peaks and the FMW peaks.Finally, whenever EIA, EIT, or Mollow absorption happens, the dispersion at the pump-probe detuning center is kept to be negative with increasing the saturation Rabi frequency.It means that this point is suitable to perform the superluminal light propagation experiments. 相似文献

We investigate the optical Rabi oscillations in a dual-mode slab waveguide that undergoes a spatial–temporal refractive index modulation. Frequency conversion is induced during Rabi oscillations since dynamic modulation is employed. We also show that the contrast of Rabi oscillations can be controlled by the initial phase of dynamic modulation, which can be tuned arbitrarily from zero to unity as the phase varies. The contrast of zero corresponds to the dynamic supermodes and unity refers to complete Rabi oscillations. It suggests that the phase can be a new degree of freedom to control optical Rabi oscillations. This study may find applications in optical sensors, switches and mode converters. 相似文献

We investigated the manifestation of Rabi oscillation in the coherent dynamics of excitons in self-assembled semiconductor quantum dots. The Rabi oscillation phenomenon was directly observed as a function of the input pulse area. We theoretically investigate the spatial propagation of Rabi oscillations (Rabi waves) in one-dimensional inhomogeneous quantum
dot (QD) chain. QD-chain is modeled by the set of two-level quantum systems with tunnel coupling between neighboring QDs.
The space propagation of Rabi waves in the form of traveling waves and localized wave packets is considered. It is shown,
that the propagation of Rabi waves is accompanied by the transfer of the inversion and quantum correlations along the QD-chain
and by their reflection and mutual transformations at the spatial inhomogeneities of QE-chain. The effect is potentially applicable

We obtain pulse-driven Rabi oscillations guided by a generalization of the rotating-wave approximation to include, in the optical-Bloch equations, two-level systems with a time-varying transition energy. We achieve this by using chirped pulses with the central frequency given by the time-varying transition energy. Using this approach, we predict Rabi oscillations in intersubband transitions in a two-subband n-type modulation-doped quantum well by taking into account the time-dependent intersubband energy-gap renormalization due to depolarization-shift effects. We obtain Rabi oscillations for jpi (j=0,1,2, ) pulses in the presence of dephasing. 相似文献

The influence of local fields on the excitonic Rabi oscillations in an isolated, arbitrary shaped quantum dot (QD) has been theoretically investigated. QD interaction with both a classical electromagnetic field and quantum light has been considered. In the classical light, time harmonic and ultrashort pulse excitations are analyzed. The general formalism has been formulated for quantum light and applied to the case of a Fock qubit. Noticeable modification of the Rabi oscillation dynamics induced by the local fields is predicted to be observable in QDs exposed to both classical and quantum light. In particular, the bifurcation and anharmonism in the Rabi oscillations have been revealed under time harmonic excitation and a dependence of the Rabi oscillation period on the QD depolarization has been obtained. 相似文献

We study the ground states of the single- and two-qubit asymmetric Rabi models, in which the qubit–oscillator coupling strengths for the counterrotating-wave and corotating-wave interactions are unequal. We take the transformation method to obtain the approximately analytical ground states for both models and numerically verify its validity for a wide range of parameters under the near-resonance condition. We find that the ground-state energy in either the single- or two-qubit asymmetric Rabi model has an approximately quadratic dependence on the coupling strengths stemming from different contributions of the counterrotating-wave and corotating-wave interactions. For both models, we show that the ground-state energy is mainly contributed by the counterrotating-wave interaction. Interestingly, for the two-qubit asymmetric Rabi model, we find that, with the increase in the coupling strength in the counterrotating-wave or corotating-wave interaction, the two-qubit entanglement first reaches its maximum and then drops to zero. Furthermore, the maximum of the two-qubit entanglement in the two-qubit asymmetric Rabi model can be much larger than that in the two-qubit symmetric Rabi model. 相似文献
