Starting from the paraxial vectorial theory of beams propagating in uniaxially anisotropic media, the analytical propagation equations of three-dimensional flattened Gaussian beams (FGBs) in uniaxial crystals are derived and illustrated numerically. It is shown that, due to the anisotropy of crystals, the ordinary and extraordinary beams originated by incident FGBs propagate with different Rayleigh lengths, thus the linear polarization state and axial symmetry of incident FGBs do not remain during propagation in crystals. 相似文献

Theory of the coherent-mode decomposition of laser beams is proposed. The new model for the flat-topped beams proposed by Li recently is taken as an example. A high-efficiency mode converter of the ITER gyrotron operating mode into the Gaussian wave beam has been developed. It includes an irradiating waveguide with shallow deformation and profiled quasi-optical mirrors to increase the Gaussian content. Low-power tests were carried out with a TE25.10 mode exciter and a mode converter. A prototype of the short-pulsed 170 GHz gymtmn with the new converter was manufactured and tested. Diffraction losses measured inside the tube were less then 2% at the 1 MW power level. A high Gaussian mode content in the output beam has been also demonstrated. 相似文献

The propagation properties of flattened Gaussian beam with a misaligned circular aperture in turbulent atmosphere have been studied by using the extended Huygens-Fresnel formula. From the study and numerical calculation, the effects of aperture parameters on the propagation properties of flattened Gaussian beams in turbulent atmosphere have been illuminated. The results show that angle misalignments and lateral displacements of aperture create unsymmetrical average intensity distribution at any cross section. The intensity distributions are much more sensitive to the lateral displacement than to the angle misalignments. And the propagation properties of different flattened Gaussian beams in turbulent atmosphere are also compared. 相似文献

The conversion efficiency of THG on the flattened Gaussian and Gaussian beams is obtained in detail numerical stimulation for CsLiB6O10.The conversion efficiencies of 86.7% and 96% of the flattened Gaussian are larger than those of Gaussian beams of 72.6% and 88% under type I and type 11(1) phase matching. The efficiencies affected by the pump intensity, polarization rate, crystal lengths and orders of the flattened Gaussian beams were presented. 相似文献
