The band structures built on the 5- isomeric state ( T 1/2 = 3.46 m) in the doubly odd 130Cs nucleus have been established up to I = 24? via the 124Sn(11B, 5n)130Cs reaction. The previously observed bands based on the πh 11/2⊗νh 11/2, πg 7/2⊗νh 11/2 and πd 5/2⊗νh 11/2 configurations and a positive-parity side band with multiple connections to the α = 0 signature partner of the yrast πh 11/2⊗νh 11/2 band have been extended to higher spins. A new band based on the πh 11/2⊗νg 7/2 configuration is observed. The yrast πh 11/2⊗νh 11/2 band exhibits anomalous signature splitting whose magnitude decreases up to spin 15 and then increases without restoring the normal signature splitting. High spin states in 178Ir have been studied via the 152Sm(31P, 5nγ)178Ir reaction through excitation functions, X-γ and γ-γ-t coincidence measurements. According to the band structure characteristics and the measured intraband B(M1)/B(E2) ratios, two rotational bands are identified and assigned to be associated with the πh 9/2⊗νi 13/2 and πh 11/2⊗νi 13/2 configurations, respectively. Both bands show the signature inversion feature. Received: 23 March 2000 / Accepted: 31 July 2000  相似文献

The in-beam spectroscopy on N = 91 isotones has been carried out using the 12C + 150Nd reaction. The νi 13/2 and νh 11/2 bands of 153Sm have been extended up to 33/2+ and 31/2-, respectively. Two new γ-rays have been located on the top of the unfavored band with νi 13/2 configuration in 157Dy. Two identical relationships have been established in the low-spin region of the yrast νi 13/2 configuration between 153Sm and 155Gd, and between unfavored bands of 155Gd and 157Dy. Here all these nuclei have the same neutron number N = 91. Received: 28 June 2000 / Accepted: 20 October 2000  相似文献

The decay out of the πh 11/2νh 11/2 band to the known low-energy levels in 132La was studied using the reaction 100Mo + 36S at 160 MeV beam energy. The low-energy level scheme has been further developed and unambiguous spin and parity values have been assigned to the levels connecting the band to the 6- isomeric state. According to the new level scheme the spins in the πh 11/2νh 11/2 band are shifted up by one unit compared to the earlier tentative experimental values. The obtained new spins prove the existence of signature inversion in 132La and give further support to the spin assignments made for the πh 11/2νh 11/2 bands in the neighbouring odd-odd La isotopes from level energy systematics. Isomers in N = 83 isotones of Z = 60-66, were studied systematically. Their spins and parities are 49/2+ and 27+ for odd and odd-odd nuclei, respectively. Nearly constant excitation energies of these isomers indicated a decrease of a Z = 64 shell gap energy as Z decreases from 64 to 60 within the framework of a deformed independent-particle model (DIPM). Their configurations are [ν(f 7/2 h 9/2 i 13/2),π(h 11/2)2]49/2+ and [ν(f 7/2 h 9/2 i 13/2),π(h 11/2)2(d 5/2)-1]27+ for odd and odd-odd nuclei, respectively. The shape of the yrast states changes suddenly at spin 49/2(odd) and 27(odd-odd) from a near spherical to an oblate shape. Transitions from isomers are highly hindered because of the shape changes. They may be categorized to be shape isomers. The development of a secondary beam produced by using these high-spin isomers is also described. High-spin states of 160Lu have been studied through the 144Sm( 19F, 3n) reaction. The previously known πh 11/2⊗υi 13/2 yrast band is extended from I π = 21- to 25- and a four quasiparticle band with configuration πh 11/2[523]7/2 -⊗υh 9/2[521]3/2 -⊗ (υi 13/2)2 is reported. High-spin states in 112Pd were studied using prompt γ-ray spectroscopy with Gammasphere following heavy-ion-induced fission in the reaction 18O + 208Pb at 91 MeV. A new 8+ level at 2638 keV was discovered with transitions connecting it to the yrast band and the quasi-gamma band. The three, now established, closely spaced 8+ states indicate a mixing between the ground-state band, s-band, and quasi-gamma band. Several high-spin structures with likely negative parity have been extended to higher spin and it is proposed that they are based on the νh 11/2(g 7/2 d 5/2) and νh 11/2(s 1/2 d 3/2) configurations. High-spin states in 178Ir were investigated by means of in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy techniques using the multidetector array GASP. Excited states of 178Ir were populated through the 159Tb(24Mg, 5n) fusion-evaporation reaction at E(24 Mg) = 131-141 MeV. Several rotational bands were observed. Among them, the πi 13/2⊗νi 13/2 structure has been identified up to spin 36 ?. This band exhibits an anomalous signature splitting and a signature inversion around spin 25 ?. High-spin states in 142Gd have been populated by means of the 99Ru(48Ti, 2p3n) reaction at 240 MeV and investigated with the γ-spectrometer EUROBALL III and the charged-particle detector array ISIS. The features of four dipole bands have been determined and compared with tilted-axis cranking model calculations indicating that they are magnetic rotational bands. A transition from regular to irregular bands has been found approaching N = 82 demonstrating that this is a general phenomenon in nuclei near a double-shell closure. High spin states of 126La have been populated using the reaction 116Sn+14N at 68 MeV. γ-rays and conversion electrons were detected with the GAREL array. Multipolarities of the lowest-lying in-band dipole transitions have been determined from the deduced internal conversion coefficients. Experimental B(M1)/B(E2) ratios have been derived for the bands and compared with calculated values using the D?nau-Frauendorf geometrical model. Configurations are proposed for the bands comparing them with cranked shell model calculations and on the basis of the measured B(M1)/B(E2) ratios. The β-decay of 126La has also been revisited. The population of the 126Ba levels gives a probable spin value of five for the decaying high-spin 126La state with T 1/2≈ 64 s which may indicate a signature inversion in the πh11/2νh11/2 band. The collective band structures of the 125Cs nucleus have been investigated by in-beam γ-ray spectroscopic techniques following the 110Pd ( 19F, 4n) reaction at 75MeV. The previously known level scheme, with rotational bands built on πg7/2, πg9/2 and πh11/2 orbitals, has been extended and evolves into bands involving rotationally aligned ν(h11/2)2 and π(h11/2)2 quasiparticles. A strongly coupled band has been reassigned a high-K πh11/2 ⊗ νg7/2 ⊗ νh11/2 three-quasiparticle configuration and a new side band likely to be its chiral partner has been identified. Configurations assigned to various bands are discussed in the framework of Principal/Tilted Axis Cranking (PAC/TAC) model calculations.  相似文献

The 106, 108Rh and 110, 112Ag nuclei have been produced as fission fragments following the fusion reaction 28Si + 176Yb at 145 MeV bombarding energy and studied with the Eurogam2 array. The yrast high-spin states of these four odd-odd nuclei, which are observed for the first time, consist of rotational bands in which the odd proton occupies the πg 9/2 subshell and the odd neutron the νh 11/2 subshell. Their behaviour as a function of spin values does not vary with the number of neutrons: as observed in the odd-N neighbouring nuclei, the motion of the odd neutron remains decoupled from the motion of the core, from N = 61 to N = 65. Moreover, the staggering observed in the yrast bands of odd-odd isotopes is strongly reduced as compared to the large values displayed by the rotational bands built on the πg 9/2 subshell in the odd-A Rh and Ag isotopes. The results of particle-rotor calculations indicate that this reduction is related to a change of the core deformation. Lifetimes of states in the yrast superdeformed bands of 163Lu and 164Lu were determined in a Doppler-shift attenuation-method experiment. From fractional Doppler shifts and line shapes, average transition quadrupole moments, Q t = 8.2-0.6 +1.0 b and 7.1-0.6 +0.5 b, were deduced for one of the bands in 163Lu and 164Lu, respectively. These values are much larger than the quadrupole moment of the normal-deformed yrast band in 163Yb, Q t = 4.9-0.4 +1.3 b, that was also determined in this experiment. Comparison to cranking calculations indicates that both superdeformed bands correspond to a local potential energy minimum with a pronounced triaxiality, γ∼ 20°. High-spin states in 113-116Cd have been investigated with the fusion-fission reaction 28Si +176Yb at 145 > MeV. The experiment has been performed with the Eurogam2 array. New rotational bands based on two quasi-particle states have been observed for even-even cadmium isotopes. A new level scheme based on the 11/2 isomeric state is proposed for 115Cd and the one of 113Cd has been extended to spin (31/2). The decoupled bands identified in both odd-A nuclei are interpreted as being built upon a low-Ωh11/2 quasi-neutron configuration. Microscopic Hartree-Fock + BCS calculations confirm the prolate deformation in this mass region especially for the odd cadmium isotopes. High-spin states of the 44Ca nucleus populated in the 68 MeV 18O + 30Si reaction have been studied in a γ-γ-recoil coincidence experiment. The level scheme of 44Ca has been extended up to 12.2 MeV. In particular, the negative-parity band has been identified with the highest I = 13- level at 10.6 MeV. This state is interpreted as the band-terminating state for the ( d 3/2 -1 f 7/2 5) configuration. Received: 7 November 2001 / Accepted: 3 December 2001  相似文献

High-spin states of 157Dy were investigated using in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy techniques with a 150Nd(12C, 5n) reaction. Three rotational bands with the h 9/2, i 13/2 and h 11/2 configurations were observed up to (43/2-), 53/2+ and 45/2-, respectively. Interband M1 transitions in the h 11/2 (high-Ω) band were also measured up to the highest-spin state. The high-spin states were well reproduced by calculations using the tilted-axis-cranking model (TAC). The B(M1)/B(E2) ratio, Routhian and the tilted angle of the angular-momentum vector are found to be in good agreement with the result of the TAC calculation. First evidence is presented for triaxial superdeformation in 170Hf. High-spin states in this nucleus have been investigated in a γ-ray coincidence measurement using the EUROBALL spectrometer array. A new band was discovered which has moments of inertia that are very similar to the ones of triaxial superdeformed bands in neighbouring Hf and Lu nuclei. The intensities with which these bands are populated are different from what may be expected from calculated potential-energy minima. High spin states of 101Rh have been populated using the reaction 70Zn+36S at 130 MeV. γ-rays were detected with the EUROGAM2 array. New high-spin bands have been observed in this nucleus up to 45/2, 57/2 and 65/2+ states. They have been interpreted using the Nilsson-Strutinsky cranking formalism as terminating configurations. Two of the bands were observed up to the predicted terminating states which are built up from g9/2 protons as well as d5/2, g7/2 and h11/2 neutrons relative to a 90Zr core. The fusion evaporation reaction 122Sn(14N, 4n)132La was used to populate the high-spin states of 132La at the beam energy of 60 MeV. A new band consisting of mostly E2 transitions has been discovered. This band has the interesting links to the ground state 2- and the isomeric state 6-. A new transition of energy 351 keV connecting the low-spin states of the positive-parity band based on the πh 11/2 ⊗ νh 11/2 particle configuration, has been found. This has played a very important role in resolving the existing ambiguities and inconsistencies in the spin assignment of the band head. The 109,111,113Rh nuclei have been produced as fission fragments in the fusion reaction 18O + 208Pb at 85 MeV. Their level schemes have been built from gamma-rays detected using the Euroball IV array. High-spin states of the neutron-rich 111,113Rh nuclei have been identified for the first time. Several rotational bands with the odd proton occupying the πg 9/2, πp 1/2 and π(g 7/2/d 5/2) sub-shells have been observed. A band of low-energy transitions has been identified at excitation energy around 2 MeV in 109,111Rh, which can be interpreted in terms of three-quasiparticle excitation, πg 9/2νh 11/2νg 7/2/d 5/2. In addition another structure built on states located at low excitation energy (608 keV in 111Rh, 570 keV in 113Rh) points out that, as already observed in the lighter isotopes 107,109Rh, triaxial deformation plays a role in the neutron-rich Rh isotopes well beyond the mid-shell.
