The effects of a local constant forcing on spiral waves in two-dimensional excitable media described by Bär model are investigated. A constant external forcing is imposed on the core of spiral wave, leading to parameter variability of a medium. It is found that the forcing can significantly alter the shape and rotation period of spiral wave when the values of related parameters are properly chosen. The change of wave structure is attributed to the transition from normal excitation to inverse excitation in the forced medium. An abnormal spiral wave with a very thick spiral arm has been observed. The physical mechanism underlying these phenomena is theoretically analyzed. 相似文献

Evolution of spiral wave generated from the excitable media within the Barkley model is investigated. The external gradient electric field modulated by the logistic map is imposed on the media (along x- and y-axis). Drift and break up of spiral wave are observed when the amplitude of the electric field is modulated by the chaotic signal from the logistic map, and the whole system could become homogeneous finally and the relevant results are compared when the gradient electric field is modulated by the Lorenz or Rossler chaotic signal. 相似文献

以Barkley模型为对象,研究了可激介质的非均匀性对螺旋波斑图形成的影响.该模型中各参数与可激介质的属性密切相关,通过参数涨落的正态分布来刻画非均匀性,数值研究了单参数以及多参数涨落的正态分布情形下螺旋波斑图的形成.研究表明,可激介质的非均匀性对于螺旋波波纹的粗细及疏密程度有较大影响.参数涨落分布的方差越大,形成的螺旋波波纹越粗糙.对于两参数均匀分布的极端情形,当参数分布大于某一范围,无法形成螺旋波.这些都与螺旋波旋转的角频率密切相关.螺旋波旋转的角频率越大,螺旋波波纹越粗,同时波纹越密集;反之,螺旋波

通过考虑某些不应态也可以被激发,在离散可激发介质Greenberg-Hasting模型中引入早期后去极化行为,研究了早期后去极化对螺旋波的影响.数值结果表明:在适当选择参数下,早期后去极化对螺旋波有很大影响,这些影响包括使螺旋波漫游、漂移和破碎,导致螺旋波波纹被扭曲和波臂粗细交替变化,以及导致螺旋波的周期在两个值之间交替变化,产生从稳定螺旋波到呼吸螺旋波和反螺旋波的相变等.当不应态的激发阈值很高时,早期后去极化对螺旋波没有影响.对发生上述现象作了简要的讨论.

实验发现大脑皮层内出现螺旋波且螺旋波对神经元电信号传递有积极作用.利用细胞网络方法从对大脑皮层观察到的螺旋波进行数值模拟.以包含温度因子的热敏神经元模型在二维空间构造规则网络,研究了神经元膜片温度参数对神经元网络中螺旋波演化影响;定义了一类统计同步因子来刻画温度因子引起螺旋波相变(破裂和死亡)的临界条件.发现在规则网络下,当温度超过一定值后螺旋波会死亡和消失而导致整个网络达到均匀同步;在考虑了弱通道噪声情况下,螺旋波温度超越一定临界值则引起螺旋波的破裂.进一步分析了暂时性发烧昏迷的可能机制在于神经系统某些功能区螺旋波传播电信号的中断. 相似文献

The dynamics and the transition of spiral waves in the coupled
Hindmarsh--Rose (H--R) neurons in two-dimensional space are
investigated in the paper. It is found that the spiral wave can be
induced and developed in the coupled HR neurons in two-dimensional
space, with appropriate initial values and a parameter region given.
However, the spiral wave could encounter instability when the
intensity of the external current reaches a threshold value of
1.945. The transition of spiral wave is found to be affected by
coupling intensity D and bifurcation parameter r. The spiral
wave becomes sparse as the coupling intensity increases, while the
spiral wave is eliminated and the whole neuronal system becomes
homogeneous as the bifurcation parameter increases to a certain
threshold value. Then the coupling action of the four sub-adjacent
neurons, which is described by coupling coefficient D’, is also
considered, and it is found that the spiral wave begins to breakup
due to the introduced coupling action from the sub-adjacent neurons
(or sites) and together with the coupling action of the
nearest-neighbour neurons, which is described by the coupling

本文首先研究了时空调制对可激发介质中周期螺旋波波头动力学行为的影响. 随着时空调制的增大, 螺旋波经历了周期螺旋波、外滚螺旋波、旅行螺旋波和内滚螺旋波的显著变化. 通过定义序参量来定量的描述由时空调制引起的螺旋波在不同态之间非平衡跃迁的临界条件, 及漫游螺旋波波头圆滚圆半径随调制参数的变化情况. 当时空调制增大到某个临界值时, 螺旋波发生了破碎; 再增加时空调制, 螺旋波则发生了衰减, 系统最终演化为空间均匀静息态. 在文中给出了螺旋波发生破碎和衰减的机理和原因. 最后将时空调制方法运用于漫游螺旋波, 实现了将漫游螺旋波控制成周期螺旋波, 或将其控制为空间均匀静息态. 相似文献

The effect of small-world connection and noise on the formation and transitionof spiral wave in the networks of Hodgkin-Huxley neurons are investigated in detail. Some interesting results are found in our numerical studies. i) The quiescent neurons are activated to propagate electric signal to others by generating and developing spiral wave from spiral seed in small area. ii) A statistical factor is defined to describe the collective properties and phase transition induced by the topology of networks and noise. iii) Stable rotating spiral wave can be generated and keeps robust when the rewiring probability is below certain threshold, otherwise, spiral wave can not be developed from the spiral seed and spiral wave breakup occurs for a stable rotating spiral wave. iv) Gaussian white noise is introduced on the membrane of neuronsto study the noise-induced phase transition on spiral wave in small-world networks of neurons. It is confirmed that Gaussian white noise plays active role in supporting and developing spiral wave in the networks of neurons, and appearance of smaller factor of synchronization indicates high possibility to induce spiral wave. 相似文献

以Barkley模型为研究对象, 研究了在时空调制作用下螺旋波时空动力学行为特性. 发现在适当的调制参数的作用下, 能够在同一系统中同时观察到漫游螺旋波与旅行螺旋波. 通过数值模拟研究分析, 给出了能产生漫游螺旋波与旅行螺旋波共存现象的潜在机理, 并详细讨论了在Barkley 模型中要产生这种共存现象的两个必要条件.

The interaction of magnetic polarized electromagnetic wave with a resistive half-plane in magneto-ionic plasma is investigated. The method of transition boundary is used for the evaluation of the diffracted wave. The excitation of surface waves is examined in the medium and their diffracted fields are derived by using the diffraction theory for grazing incidence. Suppression of spiral wave and turbulence in the complex Ginzburg-Landau equation (CGLE) plays a prominent role in nonlinear science and complex dynamical system. In this paper, the nonlinear behavior of the proposed drive-response system, which consists of two coupled CGLEs, is investigated and controlled by a state error feedback controller with the lattice Boltzmann method. First, spiral wave and turbulence are, respectively, generated by selecting appropriate parameters of the response system under the no-flux boundary and perpendicular gradient initial conditions. Then, based on the random initial condition, the target wave yielded by introducing spatially localized inhomogeneity into the drive system is applied on the above response system. The numerical simulation results show that the spiral wave and turbulence existing in the response system could be successfully eliminated by the target wave in the drive system during a short evolution time. Furthermore, it turns out that the transient time for the drive course is related to the control intensity imposed on the whole media. 相似文献

The development of spiral wave in a two-dimensional square array due to partial ion channel block (Potas- sium, Sodium) is investigated, the dynamics of the node is described by Hodgkin-Huxley neuron and these neurons are coupled with nearest neighbor connection. The parameter ratio x Na (and xK ), which defines the ratio of working ion channel number of sodium (potassium) to the total ion channel number of sodium (and potassium), is used to measure the shift conductance induced by channel block. The distribution of statistical variable R in the two-parameter phase space (parameter ratio vs. poisoning area) is extensively calculated to mark the parameter region for transition of spiral wave induced by partial ion channel block, the area with smaller factors of synchronization R is associated the parameter region that spiral wave keeps alive and robust to the channel poisoning. Spiral wave keeps alive when the poisoned area (potassium or sodium) and degree of intoxication are small, distinct transition (death, several spiral waves coexist or multi-arm spiral wave emergence) occurs under moderate ratio x Na (and xK ) when the size of blocked area exceeds certain thresholds. It is suggested that intersubband transition absorption coefficient in
polarized inverse V-shaped quantum wells can be modulated through a
non-resonant high-frequency laser field. This tuning mechanism is based on
the variation of the quasi-bound states and corresponding wave functions of
the quantum well with increasing intensity of the laser field. A transition
between the strong absorption and induced laser transparency regimes is
observed in one of the studied structures. The dependence of the saturation
intensity on the laser parameter and the electric field strength is also

We study pattern formation induced by a spiral wave developing from heterogeneities in an excitable medium. Turbulence can
be suppressed by a spiral wave from the heterogeneity, forming multiple coexistent systems of regular geometrical patterns.
We find that the types of these patterns depend critically on the degree of heterogeneity. The underlying mechanism is due
to dispersion relation which is characterized by excitability.
