I show that two distant parties can transform pure entangled states to arbitrary pure states by stochastic local operations and classical communication (SLOCC) at the single copy level, if they share bound entangled states. This is the effect of bound entanglement since this entanglement processing is impossible by SLOCC alone. A similar effect of bound entanglement exists in three qubits where two incomparable entangled states of GHZ (Greenberger, Horne, and Zeilinger) and W can be interconverted. In general, multipartite settings composed by N distant parties, all N-partite pure entangled states are interconvertible by SLOCC with the assistance of bound entangled states with positive partial transpose.  相似文献

Entangling an unknown qubit with one type of reference state is generally impossible. However, entangling an unknown qubit with two types of reference states is possible. To achieve this, we introduce a new class of states called zero sum amplitude (ZSA) multipartite, pure entangled states for qubits and study their salient features. Using shared-ZSA states, local operations and classical communication, we give a protocol for creating multipartite entangled states of an unknown quantum state with two types of reference states at remote places. This provides a way of encoding an unknown pure qubit state into a multiqubit entangled state.  相似文献

We study the invariants of arbitrary dimensional multipartite quantum states under local unitary transformations. For multipartite pure states, we give a set of invariants in terms of singular values of coefficient matrices. For multipartite mixed states, we propose a set of invariants in terms of the trace of coefficient matrices. For full rank mixed states with non-degenerate eigenvalues, this set of invariants is also the set of the necessary and sufficient conditions for the local unitary equivalence of such two states.  相似文献

We prove, in a multipartite setting, that it is always feasible to exactly transform a genuinely m-partite entangled pure state with sufficient many copies to any other m-partite state via local quantum operation and classical communication. In this paper, we propose a protocol to deterministically teleport an unknown mixed state of qubit by utilizing a maximally bipartite entangled state of qubits as quantum channel. Ira non-maximally entangled bipartite pure state is employed as quantum channel, the unknown mixed quantum state of qubit can be teleported with 1 -√ 1- C^2 probability, where C is the concurrence of the quantum channel. The protocol can also be generalized to teleport a mixed state of qudit or a multipartite mixed state. More important purpose is that, on the basis of the protocol, the teleportation of an arbitrary multipartite (pure or mixed) quantum state can be decomposed into the teleportation of each subsystem by employing separate entangled states as quantum channels. In the case of deterministic teleportation, Bob only needs to perform unitary transformations on his single particles in order to recover the initial teleported multipartite quantum state.  相似文献

We study the stability of NPT property of an arbitrary pure entangled state under the mixture of arbitrary pure separable states. For bipartite pure states with Schmidt number n (n>1) which is NPT, we show that this state is still NPT when it is mixed with no more than $\frac {n(n-1)}{2}-1$ arbitrary pure separable states. This article discusses the variation of the knotted picture of the quantum pure state |χ>=α|↑↓> +β|↓↑> with the variation of the complex coefficients α and β. It is shown that there are three kinds of link that correspond to three different ranks of the matrix of covariance correlation tensor, i.e., the zero rank corresponds to trivial link, the rank one corresponds to the two-component link with two crossings, and the rank three corresponds to the two-component link with four crossings.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a multipartite entanglement measure for arbitrary pure states, which is presented based on reduced density matrices of multi-qudit pure states. We review some multipartite entanglement measures based on density matrices. This is helpful for us to introduce a new good entanglement measure, which is vanishing if and only if a state is separable, invariant under local unitary transformations and non-increasing under local operations assisted by classical communication. We apply our entanglement measure for some explicit examples. It demonstrates that our entanglement measure is practical and convenient for computation. It can also distinguish the relatively high entanglement and the maximal entanglement. In short, our entanglement measure is good at characterizing multipartite entanglement.  相似文献

We study dynamics of genuine entanglement for quantum states of three and four qubits under non-Markovian dephasing. Using a computable entanglement monotone for multipartite systems, we find that the GHZ state is quite resilient state whereas the W state is the most fragile. We compare dynamics of chosen quantum states with dynamics of random pure states and weighted graph states.  相似文献

We studied the quantum interference of electrons in the Bi (p(x), p(y)) orbital-derived j = 1/2 spin-split surface states at Bi/Ag(111)√3 × √3 surfaces of 10 monolayer thick Ag(111) films on Si(111) substrates. Surface electron standing waves were observed clearly at the energy (E) below the intersection of the two spin-split downward dispersing parabola bands (E(x)). The E dependence of the standing wave pattern reveals the dispersion as the average of the two spin-split surface bands due to the interference between |(k + Δ), ↑> and |-(k - Δ), ↑> [or (|(k - Δ), ↓>) and |-(k + Δ), ↓>] states. In contrast, it was impossible to deduce the dispersion from the standing wave pattern at E ≥ E(x) because the surface electron cannot find its backscattered state with the same spin polarization.  相似文献

In this paper, we present the separability criteria to identify non-k-separability and genuine multipartite entanglement in mixed multipartite states using elements of density matrices. Our criteria can detect the non-k-separability of Dicke class of states, anti W states and mixtures thereof and higher dimensional W class of states. We then investigate the performance of our criteria by considering N-qubit Dicke states with arbitrary excitations added with white noise and mixture of N-qudit W state with white noise. We also study the robustness of our criteria against white noise. Further, we demonstrate that our criteria are experimentally implementable by means of local observables such as Pauli matrices and generalized Gell-Mann matrices.  相似文献

We show that, for any composite system with an arbitrary number of finite-dimensional subsystems, it is possible to directly measure the multipartite concurrence of pure states by detecting only one single factorizable observable, provided that two copies of the composite state are available. Monogamy of entanglement is a fundamental property of multipartite entangled states. In this article, due to the convexity of Trρq with respect to q when q ≥ 1, we give a monogamy-like relation in terms of Tsallis-q entanglement entropy of assistance (TqEEA) for pure states over an n- partite any dimensional system and monogamy-like relations in terms of Tsallis-q entanglement entropy (TqEE) for mixed states for any dimensional system, we also give a lower bound for the TqEE of a four-partite pure state. At last, we show that the generalized W-class states satisfy the polygamy relation in terms of TqEE when q = 2.  相似文献

我们提出了一个远程制备三种形式的多粒子纯态的方案,远程制备一般形式的多粒子纯态及两种特殊情况下的多粒子纯态.首先利用大失谐腔制备出N个原子的纠缠态[14],并将这N个原子分配给Alice和Bob等其他的参与者.然后Alice根据要远程制备的态对她的原子进行相应的单原子投影测量,并且将测量结果以经典信息的方式告诉给其他参与者.其他参与者根据收到的信息决定对自己的原子要么不操作,要么进行特定的操作,来转换他们所共享的纠缠态,最终除Alice以外的参与者就会处于期望的纠缠态.每一种情况下的信息消耗都是很少的,只消耗一量子比特和一经典比特.整个方案都基于现有的腔量子电动力学技术,因此该方案是可行性的.  相似文献

We investigate entanglement and separability criteria of multipartite (n-partite) state by examining ranks of its reduced density matrices. Firstly, we construct the general formula to determine the criterion. A rank of origin density matrix always equals one, meanwhile ranks of reduced matrices have various ranks. Next, separability and entanglement criterion of multipartite is determined by calculating ranks of reduced density matrices. In this article we diversify multipartite state criteria into completely entangled state, completely separable state, and compound state, i.e. sub-entangled state and sub-entangledseparable state. Furthermore, we also shorten the calculation proposed by the previous research to determine separability of multipartite state and expand the methods to be able to differ multipartite state based on criteria above.  相似文献

We consider entanglement-assisted remote quantum state manipulation of bipartite mixed states. Several aspects are addressed: we present a class of mixed states of rank two that can be transformed into another class of mixed states under entanglement-assisted local operations with classical communication, but for which such a transformation is impossible without assistance. Furthermore, we demonstrate enhancement of the efficiency of purification protocols with the help of entanglement-assisted operations. Finally, transformations from one mixed state to mixed target states which are sufficiently close to the source state are contrasted with similar transformations in the pure-state case.  相似文献

We apply the axiomatic approach to thermodynamics presented by Giles to derive a unique measure of entanglement for bipartite pure states. This implies that local manipulations of entanglement in quantum information theory and adiabatic transformations of states in thermodynamics have the same underlying mathematical structure. 利用含时量子波包法理论研究了分子在强激光场条件下的量子调控.选取K2分子的三态模型(基态|X〉、激发态|B〉和电离态|X+〉)作为研究对象.在强激光场的作用下,激发态|B〉缀饰成两个子态:|α〉态和|β〉态.分析K2分子电离后的光电子能谱,可以得到缀饰态|α〉和|β〉的能量和概率分布信息.同时,根据分子的缀饰态理论,提出了K2分子的缀饰态选择性分布方案.研究表明:调节激光场的强度可以实现对缀饰态能量的调控,改变激光场的波长可以实现对缀饰态概率的选择性分布.  相似文献

We analyze the multipartite entanglement evolution of three-qubit mixed states composed of a GHZ state and a W state.For a composite system consisting of three cavities interacting with independent reservoirs,it is shown that the entanglement evolution is restricted by a set of monogamy relations.Furthermore,as quantified by the negativity,the entanglement dynamical property of the mixed entangled state of cavity photons is investigated.It is found that the three cavity photons can exhibit the phenomenon of entanglement sudden death(ESD).However,compared with the evolution of a generalized three-qubit GHZ state which has the equal initial entanglement,the ESD time of mixed states is later than that of the pure state.Finally,we discuss the entanglement distribution in the multipartite system,and point out the intrinsic relation between the ESD of cavity photons and the entanglement sudden birth of reservoirs.  相似文献
