CuFe2O4 nanocrystals were synthesized by the sol–gel method (SGM) and microwave method (MM) by using sucrose as a fuel. The structural, morphological, optical and magnetic properties of the products were determined and characterized in detail by X-ray diffraction (XRD), high resolution scanning electron microscopy (HR-SEM), photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The XRD results confirmed the formation of cubic phase CuFe2O4. The formation of CuFe2O4 nano and microstructures were confirmed by HR-SEM. Photoluminescence emissions were determined by PL spectra, respectively. The relatively high saturation magnetization (78.22 emu/g) of CuFe2O4-MM shows that it is ferromagnetic and low saturation magnetization (35.98 emu/g) of CuFe2O4O-SGM confirms the super paramagnetic behavior.  相似文献

NdVO4 nanoparticles are successfully synthesized by efficient sonochemical method using two different structural directing agents like CTAB and P123. The phase formation and functional group analysis are carried out using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and fourier transform infra red (FT-IR) spectra, respectively. Using Scherrer equation the calculated grain sizes are 27 nm, 24 nm and 20 nm corresponding to NdVO4 synthesized by without surfactant, with CTAB and P123, respectively. The TEM images revealed that the shape of NdVO4 particles is rice-like and rod shaped particles while using CTAB and P123 as surfactants. The growth mechanism of NdVO4 nanoparticles is elucidated with the aid of TEM analysis. From electrical analysis, the conductivity of NdVO4 nanoparticles synthesized without surfactant showed a higher conductivity of 5.5703 × 10−6 S cm−1. The conductivity of the material depends on grain size and increased with increase in grain size due to the grain size effect. The magnetic measurements indicated the paramagnetic behavior of NdVO4 nanoparticles.  相似文献

This study synthesized Fe3O4 nanoparticles of 30–40 nm by a sonochemical method, and these particles were uniformly dispersed on the reduced graphene oxide sheets (Fe3O4/RGO). The superparamagnetic property of Fe3O4/RGO was evidenced from a saturated magnetization of 30 emu/g tested by a sample-vibrating magnetometer. Based on the testing results, we proposed a mechanism of ultrasonic waves to explain the formation and dispersion of Fe3O4 nanoparticles on RGO. A biosensor was fabricated by modifying a glassy carbon electrode with the combination of Fe3O4/RGO and hemoglobin. The biosensor showed an excellent electrocatalytic reduction toward H2O2 at a wide, linear range from 4 × 10?6 to 1 × 10?3 M (R2 = 0.994) as examined by amperometry, and with a detection limit of 2 × 10?6 M. The high performance of H2O2 detection is attributed to the synergistic effect of the combination of Fe3O4 nanoparticles and RGO, promoting the electron transfer between the peroxide and electrode surface.  相似文献

Pt/Fe3O4 core-shell nanoparticles have been prepared by a modified polyol method. Pt nanoparticles were first prepared via the reduction of Pt(acac)2 by polyethylene glycol-200 (PEG-200), and layers of iron oxide were subsequently deposited on the surface of Pt nanoparticles by the thermal decomposition of Fe(acac)3. The nanoparticles were characterized by XRD and HR-TEM. The as-prepared Pt/Fe3O4 nanoparticles have a chemically disordered FCC structure and transformed into chemically ordered fct structure after annealing in reducing atmosphere (4% H2, 96% Ar) at 700 °C. The ordered fct FePt phase has high magnetic anisotropy with coercivity reaching 7.5 kOe at room temperature and 9.3 kOe at 10 K.  相似文献

A simple sonochemical route was developed for the preparation of gold nanoparticles/boron nitride sheets (AuNPs/BNS) nanocomposites without using reducing or stabilizing agents. Transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and UV–vis absorption spectra were used to characterize the structure and morphology of the nanocomposites. The experimental results showed that AuNPs with approximately 20 nm were uniformly attached onto the BNS surface. It was found that the AuNPs/BNS nanocomposites exhibited good catalytic activity for the reduction of H2O2. The modified electrochemical sensor showed a linear range from 0.04 to 50 mM with a detection limit of 8.3 μM at a signal-to-noise ratio of 3. The findings provide a low-cost approach to the production of stable aqueous dispersions of nanoparticles/BNS nanocomposites.  相似文献

LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 was synthesized as a cathode material for Li-ion batteries by a sonochemical reaction followed by annealing, and was characterized by XRD, SEM, HRTEM and Raman spectroscopy in conjunction with electrochemical measurements. Two samples were prepared by a sonochemical process, one without using glucose (sample-S1) and another with glucose (sample-S2). An initial discharge specific capacity of 130 mA h g−1 is obtained for LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 at a relatively slow rate of C/10 in galvanostatic charge–discharge cycling. The capacity retention upon 50 cycles at this rate was around 95.4% and 98.9% for sample-S1 and sample-S2, respectively, at 30 °C.  相似文献

Magnetic CoFe2O4@ZnS core-shell nanocomposite was successfully synthesized via one-step hydrothermal decomposition of zinc(II) diethanoldithiocarbamate complex over CoFe2O4 nanoparticles at low temperature of 200 °C. The obtained nanocomposite was characterized by X-ray diffraction, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, UV–Vis spectroscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, magnetic measurements, and Brunauere-Emmette-Teller. The results confirmed the formation of CoFe2O4@ZnS nanocomposite with the average crystallite size of 18 nm. The band gap of 3.4 eV was obtained using UV–vis absorption of CoFe2O4@ZnS nanocomposite, which made it a suitable candidate for sono-/photo catalytic processes. This nanocomposite was applied as a novel sonocatalyst for the degradation of organic pollutants under ultrasound irradiation. The results showed complete degradation of methylene blue (MB) (25 mg/L) within 70 min in the presence of CoFe2O4@ZnS nanocomposite and H2O2 (4 mM). The trapping experiments indicated that OH radicals are the main active species in dye degradation. In addition, sonocatalytic activity of the CoFe2O4@ZnS nanocomposite was higher than those of pure ZnS and CoFe2O4, showing that the combining ZnS with magnetic CoFe2O4 could be an excellent choice to improve its sonocatalytic activity. The nanocomposite could be magnetically separated and reused without any observable change in its structure and performance even after five consecutive runs.  相似文献

Herein, the synthesis of copper ferrite nanoparticles (CuFe2O4 NPs)/chitosan have been prepared by sonochemical route under ultrasonic irradiation bath at 40 kHz and 50 W. A high sensitive and stable modified electrochemical sensor was developed using a composition of copper ferrite nanoparticles coordinated with biopolymer through a facile ultrasound approach. Besides, power and frequency parameters are highly important for sonochemical synthesis and specifically structure, and size of the nanomaterials development during the ultrasonic irradiation time. In this work, ultrasonic bath was used to synthesis of CuFe2O4 nanomaterial at 40 kHz with 1 h. CuFe2O4/chitosan was characterized by FESEM, EDX, XRD and electrochemical methods. Furthermore, 8-hydroxyguanine is one of biomarker by oxidative stress. The concentrations of 8-hydroxyguanine within a cell are a measurement of oxidative stress in human body. Consequently, the measurement of 8-hydroxyguanine in blood serum samples with high specificity is of greatest importance. The CuFe2O4/chitosan modified electrode is displayed a low detection limit of 8.6 nM and long linear range (0.025–697.175 µM).  相似文献

In this study, manganese oxide (MnO2) nanoparticles were synthesized by sonochemical reduction of KMnO4 using polyethylene glycol (PEG) as a reducing agent as well as structure directing agent under room temperature in short duration of time and characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Scanning electron microscope (SEM), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) analysis. A supercapacitor device constructed using the ultrasonically-synthesized MnO2 nanoparticles showed maximum specific capacitance (SC) of 282 Fg−1 in the presence of 1 M Ca(NO3)2 as an electrolyte at a current density of 0.5 mA cm−2 in the potential range from 0.0 to 1.0 V and about 78% of specific capacitance was retained even after 1000 cycles indicating its high electrochemical stability.  相似文献

Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles (Fe3O4 MNPs) with much improved peroxidase-like activity were successfully prepared through an advanced reverse co-precipitation method under the assistance of ultrasound irradiation. The characterizations with XRD, BET and SEM indicated that the ultrasound irradiation in the preparation induced the production of Fe3O4 MNPs possessing smaller particle sizes (16.5 nm), greater BET surface area (82.5 m2 g?1) and much higher dispersibility in water. The particle sizes, BET surface area, chemical composition and then catalytic property of the Fe3O4 MNPs could be tailored by adjusting the initial concentration of ammonia water and the molar ratio of Fe2+/Fe3+ during the preparation process. The H2O2-activating ability of Fe3O4 MNPs was evaluated by using Rhodamine B (RhB) as a model compound of organic pollutants to be degraded. At pH 5.4 and temperature 40 °C, the sonochemically synthesized Fe3O4 MNPs were observed to be able to activate H2O2 and remove ca. 90% of RhB (0.02 mmol L?1) in 60 min with a apparent rate constant of 0.034 min?1 for the RhB degradation, being 12.6 folds of that (0.0027 min?1) over the Fe3O4 MNPs prepared via a conventional reverse co-precipitation method. The mechanisms of the peroxidase-like catalysis with Fe3O4 MNPs were discussed to develop more efficient novel catalysts.  相似文献

Novel magnetic Fe3O4–chitosan nanoparticles were synthesized via photochemical method in an emulsifier-free aqueous system at room temperature for the first time. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) results showed that the Fe3O4–chitosan nanoparticles were in regular shape with a mean diameter of 41 nm, whereas the average size in aqueous solution measured by photocorrelation spectroscopy (PCS) was 64 nm, which indicated that the nanoparticles had water-swelling properties. X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns indicated that the Fe3O4 nanoparticles were pure Fe3O4 with a spinel structure, and the irradiation under UV light did not result in a phase change. The Fe3O4–chitosan nanoparticles were also characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectra, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). Magnetic measurement revealed that the saturated magnetization (Ms) of the Fe3O4–chitosan nanoparticles reached 48.6 emu/g and the nanoparticles showed the characteristics of superparamagnetism. The stability test showed these novel nanoparticles had high magnetic stability. The PCS and TGA results indicated that the size and chitosan content of Fe3O4–chitosan nanoparticles formed was pH- and chitosan/Fe3O4 ratio-dependent, which could be used to synthesize magnetic Fe3O4–chitosan nanoparticles with different size to meet the requirements of different applications.  相似文献

For the first time, a sonochemical process has been used to synthesis cobalt oxide Co3O4 nanoflowers and nanorods morphology in the presence of the ionic liquid 1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate [EMIM][BF4] as reaction media and morphology template. Different sonication time periods and different molar ratios of the ionic liquid (IL) were used to investigate their effects on the structural, optical, chemical and magnetic properties of the produced Co3O4 nanoparticles. During synthesis process brown powder contains cobalt hydroxide Co(OH)2 and cobalt oxyhydroxide (Cobalt hydroxide oxide) CoO(OH) was formed, after calcination in air for 4 h at 400 °C a black powder of Co3O4 nanoparticles was produced. The produced Co3O4 nanoparticles properties were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), FTIR spectroscopy, UV–vis spectroscopy, and Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM). To explain the formation mechanism of Co3O4 NPs some investigations were carried on the brown powder before calcination.  相似文献

Cobalt aluminate (CoAl2O4) nanoparticles were synthesized using a precursor method with the aid of ultrasound irradiation under various preparation parameters. The effects of the preparation parameters, such as the sonochemical reaction time and temperature, precipitation agents, calcination temperature and time on the formation of CoAl2O4 were investigated. The precursor on heating yields nanosized CoAl2O4 particles and both these nanoparticles and the precursor were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The use of ultrasound irradiation during the homogeneous precipitation of the precursor reduces the duration of the precipitation reaction. The mechanism of the formation of cobalt aluminate was investigated by means of Fourier transformation infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and EDX (energy dispersive X-ray). The thermal decomposition process and kinetics of the precursor of nanosized CoAl2O4 were investigated by means of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetry (TG). The apparent activation energy (E) and the pre-exponential constant (A) were 304.26 kJ/mol and 6.441 × 1014 s?1, respectively. Specific surface area was investigated by means of Brunauer Emmett Teller (BET) surface area measurements.  相似文献

Magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles were successfully prepared by a novel reverse precipitation method with the irradiation of ultrasound. TEM, XRD and SQUID analyses showed that the formed particles were magnetite (Fe3O4) with about 10 nm in their diameter. The magnetite nanoparticles exhibited superparamagnetism above 200 K, and the saturation magnetization was 32.8 emu/g at 300 K. The sizes and size distributions could be controlled by the feeding conditions of FeSO4 · 7H2O aqueous solution, and slower feeding rate and lower concentration lead to smaller and more uniform magnetite nanoparticles. The mechanisms of sonochemical oxidation were also discussed. The analyses of sonochemically produced oxidants in the presence of various gases suggested that besides sonochemically formed hydrogen peroxide, nitrite and nitrate ions contributed to Fe(II) ion oxidation.  相似文献

Nanostructured nickel ferrites (NiFe2O4) were prepared by doping with Ti4+ ions using solid-state reaction route. Lowest grain size of 55 nm was achieved in the specimens with 20 mole% TiO2 doping. Magnetization in the specimens decreases with decreasing grain sizes. Lower volume fractions of ferrite phase due to dissociation of the magnetic phase into smaller particles by the disruption of super exchange interaction by the titanium substitution results a decrease in magnetizations. Coercivity showed an increasing trend. This was explained as arising due to multidomain/monodomain magnetic behavior of magnetic nanoparticles. Small polaron hopping conduction between Fe2+ and Fe3+ sites controls the dc electrical properties of the specimens. The presence of an interfacial amorphous phase between the sites is evident from Mott's analysis. Specimens containing 10 mole or more TiO2 and sintered at 1350 °C contain NiTiO3 as a secondary phase and show unusual dc conductivity.  相似文献

Fe3O4/hydroxyapatite/graphene quantum dots (Fe3O4/HAP/GQDs) nanocomposite was synthesized and used as a novel magnetic adsorbent. This nanocomposite was characterized using scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and magnetization property. The Fe3O4/HAP/GQDs was applied to pre-concentrate copper residues in Thai food ingredients (so-called “Tom Yum Kung”) prior to determination by inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry. Based on ultrasound-assisted extraction optimization, various parameters affecting the magnetic solid-phase extraction, such as solution pH, amount of magnetic nanoparticles, adsorption and desorption time, and type of elution solvent and its concentration were evaluated. Under optimal conditions, the linear range was 0.05–1500 ng mL−1 (R2 > 0.999), limit of detection was 0.58 ng mL−1, and limit of quantification was 1.94 ng mL−1. The precision, expressed as the relative standard deviation of the calibration curve slope (n = 5), for intra-day and inter-day analyses was 0.87% and 4.47%, respectively. The recovery study of Cu for real samples was ranged between 83.5% and 104.8%. This approach gave the enrichment factor of 39.2, which guarantees trace analysis of Cu residues. Therefore, Fe3O4/HAP/GQDs can be a potential and suitable candidate for the pre-concentration and separation of Cu from food samples. It can easily be reused after treatment with deionized water.  相似文献

In this work, the effect of ultrasound irradiation on the catalytic oxidative/adsorptive denitrogenation (COADN) of model hydrocarbon fuels (composed of pyrrole or indole as an organonitrogen compounds dissolved in n-nonane) has been investigated using magnetic reduced graphene oxide supported with phosphomolybdic acid (PMo-Fe3O4/rGO) as a heterogeneous catalyst/adsorbent and hydrogen peroxide as an oxidant. The synthesized PMo-Fe3O4/rGO nanocomposite was characterized by XRD, FE-SEM, VSM and BET surface area analysis methods. Moreover, different experimental variables including catalyst dose, initial pyrrole/indole concentration, H2O2 to pyrrole/indole molar ratio, ultrasound power and sonication time have been studied on the COADN process. The regeneration/recyclability of PMo-Fe3O4/rGO catalyst was also examined. Experimental results revealed that, the ultrasound treatment significantly improved the adsorption process of organonitrogen compounds from model fuels (qe increased by 50.3% for pyrrole and 18% for indole). Furthermore, high ultrasound-aided catalytic oxidative denitrogenation efficiency (85.6% for pyrrole and 90% for indole) has been attained under optimal conditions (ultrasonic power = 200 W, sonication time = 240 min, catalyst dose = 2 g/L, and H2O2:pyrrole/indole molar ratio = 5). The recyclability of catalyst displayed that the prepared catalyst can be reused five times without any significant reduction in its performance.  相似文献

Sonochemical degradation of 4-chlorophenol, phenol, catechol and resorcinol was studied under Ar at 200 kHz in the absence and presence of Na2SO4 or NaCl. The rates of sonochemical degradation in the absence of salts decreased in the order 4-chlorophenol > phenol > catechol > resorcinol and this order was in good agreement with the order of log P (partition coefficient) value of each phenolic compound. The effects of salts on the rates of sonochemical degradation consisted of no effect or slight negative or positive effects. We discussed these unclear results based on two viewpoints: one was based on the changes in pseudo hydrophobicity and/or diffusion behavior of phenolic compounds and the other was based on the changes in solubility of Ar gas. The measured log P value of each phenolic compound slightly increased with increasing salt concentration. In addition, the dynamic surface tension for 4-chlorophenol aqueous solution in the absence and presence of Na2SO4 or NaCl suggested that phenolic compounds more easily accumulated at the interface region of bubbles at higher salt concentration. These results indicated that the rates of sonochemical degradation should be enhanced by the addition of salts. On the other hand, the calculated Ar gas solubility was confirmed to decrease with increasing salt concentration. The yield of H2O2 formed in the presence of Na2SO4 or NaCl decreased with increasing salt concentration. These results suggested that sonochemical efficiency decreased with decreasing gas amount in aqueous solution: a negative effect of salts was observed. Because negative and positive effects were induced simultaneously, we concluded that the effects of salts on the rates of sonochemical degradation of phenolic compounds became unclear. The products formed from sonochemical degradation of 4-chlorophenol were also characterized by HPLC analysis. The formation of phenol and 4-chloro-1,3-dihydroxy benzene was confirmed and these concentrations were affected by the presence of salts.  相似文献

CuFe2O4 particles were successfully engineered by a facile sol-gel method. The synthesized products were characterized physically by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Besides, the effects of the sintering temperature and the molar ration of citric acid/the total metal cations (CA/MC) on their infrared radiant properties were investigated at the wavelength of 3–5 μm. The highest infrared emission value ca. 0.911 was obtained when the test temperature was conducted at 800 °C, indicating its potential application in infrared heating, infrared coating and drying fields.  相似文献

Nanoparticles of ZnFe2O4, prepared by both high-energy ball milling and sol–gel methods, have been investigated by X-ray diffraction and Mössbauer spectroscopy. These results are compared with those for the bulk material. Mössbauer measurements which cover the temperature range 4.2 K to room temperature were acquired in zero field and an applied magnetic field of 5 T. The results show that the Neel temperature TN of bulk ZnFe2O4 is about 9 K, whereas for the nanoparticle it is much higher; furthermore the transition temperature for particles of the same size depends on the preparation technique. The likely origin for this increase of TN in the nanoparticles, namely the redistribution of Fe and Zn cations on the A and B sites, is proposed and discussed.  相似文献
