The dark Korteweg-de Vries(KdV) systems are defined and classified by Kupershmidt sixteen years ago. However, there is no other classifications for other kinds of nonlinear systems. In this paper, a complete scalar classification for dark modified KdV(MKdV) systems is obtained by requiring the existence of higher order differential polynomial symmetries. Different to the nine classes of the dark KdV case, there exist twelve independent classes of the dark MKdV equations. Furthermore, for the every class of dark MKdV system, there is a free parameter. Only for a fixed parameter, the dark MKdV can be related to dark KdV via suitable Miura transformation. The recursion operators of two classes of dark MKdV systems are also given. 相似文献

Conclusions The restricted Bäcklund transformations for the KdV and MKdV equation are uniquely determined up to two real parameters. One of them can be incorporated into the solutions of the equations and is, therefore, inessential. The only possible generalization of the Bäcklund transformations for the KdV and MKdV equations which can be obtained is through enlarging the number of independent variables of the functions P, Q, i.e. through extending the dependence of the Bäcklund transformations so that they include zxy, zyy and possibly higher derivatives. The derivation of these more general Bäcklund transformation by the Clairin's method seems to be very difficult.Theorem 1 was found to be a powerful tool for the proof of the uniqueness of the restricted Bäcklund transformations for the KdV and MKdV equations. Actually, it was used only for very special cases of its range of validity, and it seems that it may be useful for the investigation of the class of the KdV-type equations which possess a restricted Bäcklund transformation. We hope to publish the results of that investigation in the near future.The origin of these investigations on Bäcklund transformations stems from a seminar held with Stanly Steinberg and Kurt Bernardo Wolf. A new type of KdV equation with a nonisospectral Lax pair as well as variable coefficients is introduced. Its Lax pair is shown to be invariant under the Crum transformation. This leads to a Bäcklund transformation for the KdV equation and, hence, a method for solutions via an associated nonisospectral variable coefficient MKdV equation. Three generations of solutions are given. The 1-soliton solution shares the novel phenomenology associated with the boomeron, trappon, and zoomeron of Calogero and Degasperis. 相似文献

Based on the invariant expansion method,some reasonable approximate solutions of coupled Korteweg-de Vries(KdV)equations with diferent linear dispersion relations have been obtained.These solutions contain not only bell type soliton solutions but also periodic wave solutions that expressed by Jacobi elliptic functions.The results also show that if the arbitrary constants are selected suitably,the approximate solutions may become the exact ones. 相似文献

A new third-order integrable equation is constructed via combining the recursion operator of the modified KdV equation (MKdV) and its inverse recursion operator. The developed equation will be termed the modified KdV-negative order modified KdV equation (MKdV–nMKdV). The complete integrability of this equation is confirmed by showing that it nicely possesses the Painlevé property. We obtain multiple soliton solutions for the newly developed integrable equation. Moreover, this equation enjoys a variety of solutions which include solitons, peakons, cuspons, negaton, positon, complexiton and other solutions. 相似文献
