Theg-factors of the four lowest states of the ground state rotational band of158Dy have been determined asg(2 1 + )=+0.362(23),g(4 1 su+ )=+0.340(20),g(6 1 su+ )=+0.207(36) andg(8 1 su+ )=+0.21(11). Theg-factors of the 2+ and 4+ states were measured by the IPAC method with radioactive samples of 2.4 h158Er in external magnetic fields. To investigate the higher states, for the first time an on-line γ—γ IPAC experiment was performed with the reaction156Gd(α, 2n)158Dy by use of the static hyperfine field of DyGd.  相似文献

The gyromagnetic ratios of the 4 1 + , 6 1 + , and 2 2 + states in186W were measured relative to that of the 2 1 + level by means of the transient field implantation perturbedγ-ray angular distribution technique. The nuclei in the states of interest were Coulomb excited using a beam of 220-MeV63Cu projectiles and recoiled swiftly through a thin, polarized Fe foil. The present measurements yielded ratiosg(4 1 + )/g(2 1 + )=1.04±0.07,g(6 1 + )/g(2 1 + )=1.03 ±0.20 andg(2 2 + )/g(2 1 + )=0.63±0.13. The sizable disparity between the measuredg-factors of the ground- and excited-band is examined within the context of the interacting boson approximation model.  相似文献

The followingg-factors have been derived from time integral measurements of γ-γ angular correlations in the static magnetic hyperfine field of magnetized gadolinium metal probes:156Gd:g(4 1 + )=+0.310(19)g(6 1 + )=+0.25(21)g(4 3 + , 1511 keV)=+0.809(27)158Gd:g(4 1 + )=+0.409(15). The 5.35d 156Tb sources were produced by the reaction156Gd(d, 2n)156Tb in our cyclotron. A carrier-free 150y 158Tb source was obtained from ISOLDE/CERN. In comparison with the precisely knowng-factors of the 2 1 + states,g(2 1 su+ ,156Gd) =+0.386(4) andg(2 1 + ,158Gd)=0.381(4), we observe a large reduction for the156Gd 4 1 + state whereasg increases slightly for158Gd. The half-life of the 4 1 + state of158Gd was remeasured as158Gd:T 1/2(4 1 + )=148(2) ps. A measurement of the rotation in the 4 3 + state of156Gd in external magnetic fields of various strengths up toB ext=9.5 T did not confirm the anomalous dependence of the magnetic hyperfine field in gadolinium metal on the external field, which has been reported by Persson et al. [29].  相似文献

By use of Ge-detectors of the OSIRIS-collaboration [1] in connection with the 12 detector IPAC apparatus of our laboratory [2] a precise measurement of theg-factor of the 4 1 + rotational state of160Dy was performed. The directional correlations of the threeγ-γ cascades, 1003-197 keV, 1103-197 keV and 1115-197 keV, which are weakly populated in the decay of 72.3 d160Tb were observed simultaneously. The integral rotations in the static hyperfine field of DyTb at 4.2 K were measured. Theg-factorg(4 1 + )=+0.350(20) was derived. By comparison with the magnetic splitting of the 2 1 + rotational state observed in the same environment by a Mössbauer experiment [3] the ratio of the twog-factors was derived as g(4 1 + )/g(2 1 + )=+ 0.91(5). For the high energy lines we derived from the measured directional correlations the E1/M2 mixing parameters: δ(1003 keV)=+0.005(4); δ(1103 keV)=?0.020(22), and δ(1115 keV)=+0.010(4)  相似文献

The 2 1 + level of138Ba has been Coulomb excited with a 105 MeV32S beam. The precession of the gamma ray angular distribution induced by the transient magnetic field when traversing a 2.14 mg/cm2 iron foil, has been measured to be 15.6(1.7) mr. A value of g(138Ba 2 1 + )=0.72(11) was obtained assuming for the transient field strength the Chalk River calibration. The field parametrization has been checked using the first 2+ state in150Sm as probe. Theg value obtained is sensibly lower than predicted by large scale shell model calculations in a proton subspace. Theg-factor of the first 2+ state in148Sm has been remeasured yieldingg(148Sm 2 1 + )=0.246(22).  相似文献

Theg-factor of the 4 1 + -state of202Pb was investigated by the IPAC-technique. Inspite of the long half-life, which was measured as:T 1/2(4 1 + -state)=1.97(2)ns and the strong applied external magnetic field of 95.0 kG no rotation of the 787 keV-(422keV)-961 keVγ-γ angular correlation could be observed. Theg-factor must therefore be very small. A computer fit gave the limits:g(4 1 + -state)=+0.002(4). This smallg-factor can be understood by the assumption of an accidental cancellation of a positive contribution by the main [f 5/2 2 ]4-configuration and several negative contributions by admixtures of all other possible two neutron configurations.  相似文献

Theg factors of the first excited 2+ levels in the neutron-rich nuclei102Mo and104Mo have been studied through the measurement of the perturbed angular correlations for theγ-γ cascades between the 0 2 + -2 1 + -0 1 + level sequences. The results of g=0.42±0.07 for102Mo and ofg= ?0.11 +0.12 for104Mo agree with the prediction of the vibrational-rotational model. In terms of IBA, with the assumption ofN π=3 for the Mo isotopes which takes into consideration a two particle, two-hole excitation across the Z=40 subshell, the proton-bosong factor is deduced to beg π=1.00±0.23. It is shown that this value provides evidence for subshell effects in100Zr.  相似文献

The transient field technique has been used to determine theg-factor of the 4 2 + state at 6.010MeV excitation in24Mg. The deduced value ofg=+0.5(4) is consistent with collective model expectations. Further, the equality within experimental accuracies, of the g-factors of the 2 1 + , 2 2 + , 4 1 + and 4 2 + states agrees with theoretical predictions for thisT=0 self-conjugate nucleus, in contrast to the results for20Ne.  相似文献

g-factors of rotational states in 176Hf and 180Hf were measured with the twelve detector IPAC-apparatus of our laboratory [1]. The natural radioactivity 3.78 · 1010y 176Lu and the 5.5 h isomer 180mHf were used which populate the ground-state rotational bands of 176Hf and 180Hf. The integral rotations of γ-γ directional correlations in strong external magnetic fields and in static hyperfine fields of (Lu → Hf)Fe2 and HfFe2 were observed. The following results were obtained: The hyperfine field in (Lu → Hf)Fe2 was calibrated by observing the integral rotation of the 9/2? first excited state of 177Hf populated in the decay of 6.7d 177Lu. The g-factor of this state was redetermined in an external magnetic field as Finally the g-factor of the 2 1 + state of 176Hf was derived from the measured g(2 1 + ) of 180Hf by use of the precisely known ratio g(2 1 + , 176Hf)/g(21 +, 180Hf) [2] as   相似文献

Using the reaction138Ba(α,2n)140Ce the magnetic moment of the 10 1 + isomer atE x =3714.7 keV in theN=82 nucleus140Ce has been determined by means of the TDPAD method toμ=+10.3(4)μ N . Measuredg-factors in140Ce are compared to calculations within the shell model with configuration mixing. For the 10 1 + isomer in140Ce the four proton configuration π(1g 7 2/2 ,2d 5 2/2 ) has been found to be dominant. From theg-factor measurement strong contributions of multiparticle excitations to thegp2d 3/2,π3s 1 2 or π1h 11 2 shells and admixtures of neutron excitations to the wave function of the 10 1 + state could be excluded. The strongE1γ-branch of the deexcitation of the 10 1 + isomer in140Ce can be explained by means of small admixtures of configurations which contain the outer subshell excitationsπ2f 7/2 andπ1h 9/2. On this basisE1 transitions experimentally observed in theN=82 nuclei140Ce,141Pr and145Eu may be understood.  相似文献

Precessions of the very short-lived 2 1 + - and 4 1 + -states in32S have been measured using the transient field technique. The deducedg-factor of the 4 1 + -state g=+0.40(15) agrees with the known value of the 2 1 + -state and with theoretical predictions. In addition, the lifetimes of both states were redetermined and are consistent with previous results.  相似文献

Electric monopole transitions between the 0 2 + , 0 1 + and 2 2 + , 2 1 + levels in76Se, populated in the decay of76Br, were investigated by means of conversion electrons and gammaray spectroscopy. TheK-electron intensity ratios ofE0 andE2 transitions connecting the 0 2 + level to the 0 1 + and 2 1 + levels and of theE0 andE2 components in the 2 2 + →2 1 + transition were determined. The ratioX(E0/E2) of theE0 toE2 reduced transition probabilities and, from the available lifetimes, theE0 strength parameters ρ(E0) were deduced for the two transitions. The results are compared with the predictions of current models.  相似文献

The half-life of the 4 1 + -state of156Gd has been remeasured by the delayed coincidence technique. The excellent time resolution which can now be achieved by use of small BaF2 detectors allows a more reliable determination than with previously applied methods. The resultT 1/2(156Gd,4 1 + )=108(2) ps is smaller than previously published data, but it fits well into the systematics of theB(E2) values of the rotational transitions of this nucleus. A recalculation of the previously measuredg-factor of the same state givesg(156Gd,4 1 + ) =0.327(19). This value is still smaller than theg-factor of the 2 1 + state, but the magnitude of the reduction can now easier be interpreted by nuclear structure calculations.  相似文献

Theg-factor of the 21 + state of192Pt has been measured by the IPAC technique in an external magnetic field as:g(21 +,192Pt)=+0.287(17). An additional IPAC experiment with an192IrFe sample was performed with the same level in order to investigate the hyperfine field. The result:ω L τ(21 +,192PtFe)=0.1115(9) gives the hyperfine field:B hf 4.2k (PtFe)=126.8(71) T. The result of an LTNO experiment with the same level is compatible with the assumption that 100% of the192Ir atoms were on unique sites.  相似文献

Coulomb excitation byα-particles of vibrational-like states in even-mass rare-earth nuclei is used to determine the reduced transition probabilitiesB(E2; 0 gs + →2 γ + ),B(E2; 0 gs + →2 β + ),B(E2; 2 gs + →0 β + ) andB(E2; 0 gs + →3 oct ? ) in150Nd,152, 154Sm,154, 158Gd,164Dy and166Er. TheB(Eλ; 0 gs + I=λ)-values range from 2.4 to 6.5 single-particle units for transitions to the 2 γ + -states, 0.8 single-particle units for the 2 β + -states and from 14.1 to 21.7 single-particle units for the 3?-states.  相似文献

Starting from an isospin invariant shell-model hamiltonian, we describe a method for deriving microscopically the IBM-hamiltonian appropriate to lights d-shell nuclei. The key ingredients of our approach are:a) the Belyaev-Zelevinsky-Marshalek (BZM) bosonization procedure;b) two successive unitary transformations that extract the “maximally decoupled” collective bosons with angular momentaJ=0(s ππ + ,s νν + ,s πν + ) andJ =2(d ππ + ,d νν + ,d πν + (T=0),d πν + (T=1)). The method is applied to obtain the low-energy spectra and the electron scattering form factors for the 0 1 + →2 1 + transitions in20Ne and24Mg. Good agreement with the exact shell-model results is achieved. The inclusion of proton-neutron bosons (s πν + ,d πν + (T=1),d πν + (T=0)), as well as the renormalization of boson parameters due to the non-collective degrees of freedom, are shown to play a crucial role.  相似文献

Excited states in85Rb have been studied via the82Se(7Li, 4n) reaction by using in-beamγ-ray spectroscopy. On the basis of new experimental data on coincidence relations, angular distributions and linear polarizations of theγ-rays the yrast sequence has been extended up to a 33/2+ level at 7.1 MeV excitation energy. Using the DSA method mean lifetimes have been determined for 9 levels. Above the 21/2+ yrast state 5 fast M1 transitions withB (M 1) ≧0.3 W.u. have been identified. They are interpreted as transitions between recoupled states of the configuration πg9/2ν(g9/2) 8+ ?2 or πg9/2(f 5 2 /?1p 3 2?1 )4+ν(g9/2) 8+ ?2 .  相似文献
