We prove that for a large class of Schrödinger operators on aperiodic tilings the spectrum and the integrated density of states are the same for all tilings in the local isomorphism class, i.e., for all tilings in the orbit closure of one of the tilings. This generalizes the argument in earlier work from discrete strictly ergodic operators onl 2( d ) to operators on thel 2-spaces of sets of vertices of strictly ergodic tilings.  相似文献

In this paper, we get optimal lower bounds for the eigenvalues of the Dirac–Witten operator. These estimates are given in terms of the intrinsic and extrinsic curvature expressions. In the limiting case, we prove that the spacelike submanifold is Einstein if the normal bundle is flat.  相似文献

The Unruh effect and a closely related form of PCT-symmetry have been proved in general for finite-component Wightman fields by Bisognano and Wichmann. While this result incorporates most of the fields occurring in four-dimensional high energy physics, there still are field theories of interest that are not covered (e.g., low-dimensional anyon fields and infinite-component fields). From the spectrum condition, Borchers has derived a couple of commutation relations which ”almost, but only almost“ imply the Unruh effect and PCT-symmetry. We show that this result does imply Unruh effect and PCT-symmetry provided that the operators involved in Borchers' commutation relations act geometrically on a local net of observables. We investigate the dynamics of random walks on weighted networks. Assuming that the edge weight and the node strength are used as local information by a random walker. Two kinds of walks, weight-dependent walk and strength-dependent walk, are studied. Exact expressions for stationary distribution and average return time are derived and confirmed by computer simulations. The distribution of average return time and the mean-square displacement are calculated for two walks on the Barrat-Barthelemy-Vespignani (BBV) networks. It is found that a weight-dependent walker can arrive at a new territory more easily than a strength-dependent one.  相似文献

Quantum resonant tunneling behaviors of double-barrier structures on graphene are investigated under the tight- binding approximation. The Klein tunneling and resonant tunneling are demonstrated for the quasiparticles with energy close to the Dirac points. The Klein tunneling vanishes by increasing the height of the potential barriers to more than 300 meV. The Dirac transport properties continuously change to the Schr6dinger ones. It is found that the peaks of resonant tunneling approximate to the eigen-levels of graphene nanoribbons under appropriate boundary conditions. A comparison between the zigzag- and armchair-edge barriers is given.  相似文献

We consider the earthquake model on a random graph. A detailed analysis of the probability distribution of the size of the avalanches will be given. The model with different inhomogeneities is studied in order to compare the critical behavior of different systems. The results indicate that with the increase of the inhomogeneities, the avalanche exponents reduce, i.e., the different numbers of defects cause different critical behaviors of the system. This is virtually ascribed to the dynamical perturbation.  相似文献

After wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) optical fiber transmission system based on fiber Raman amplifier (FRA) is investigated in detail, the influence of the collocation of dispersion compensation fiber (DCF), the dispersion coefficient, dispersion slope (DS), effective core area, nonlinear index, length of FRA, launch power and the bandwidth of Bessel filter on bit error rate (BER) is deduced. The influence of Rayleigh backscattering noise on optical signal noise ratio (OSNR) is also investigated, which affects the performance of long haul transmission badly. The result indicates that the broadband long haul transmission can be realized through the reasonable design of the fiber. The result is useful to the optimal design of the WDM optical fiber transmission system based on FRA.  相似文献

GaN and AlN nanowires(NWs) have attracted great interests for the fabrication of novel nano-sized devices. In this paper, the nucleation processes of GaN and AlN NWs grown on Si substrates by molecular beam epitaxy(MBE)are investigated. It is found that GaN NWs nucleated on in-situ formed Si_3N_4 fully release the stress upon the interface between GaN NW and amorphous Si_3N_4 layer, while AlN NWs nucleated by aluminization process gradually release the stress during growth. Depending on the strain status as well as the migration ability of Ⅲ group adatoms, the different growth kinetics of GaN and AlN NWs result in different NW morphologies, i.e., GaN NWs with uniform radii and AlN NWs with tapered bases.  相似文献

In order to study acoustic emission(AE) characteristics of pitting corrosion on 304 stainless steel under higher than normal temperature,pitting corrosion process of 304 stainless steel in 6%ferric chloride solution at 70°was monitored by AE technology.Conventional parameter-based approach and signal-based analysis were combined to deal with recorded AE signals,and micrographic observation was performed for further verification.The results showed that AE hit and energy increased gradually with time and reached the peak at certain time, and then declined and maintained a stable condition.Signal waveform was mainly composed of low-frequency(< 100 kHz) flexural wave with larger amplitude and energy and high-frequency (> 100 kHz) expansion wave with lower amplitude and energy.The research results have some certain significance for AE monitoring of pitting corrosion on 304 stainless steel under higher than normal temperature.  相似文献

In this contribution we demonstrate that densely packed gold nanoparticles can be grown by Volmer–Weber mode on ferrocenyl functionalized terpyridine (FcTerp) on graphite. FcTerp forms highly ordered and dense self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) on graphite which significantly reduces the diffusion length of gold atoms and increases the sticking coefficient compared to bare graphite. Both effects lead to an increased nucleation and thus, to the growth of densely packed gold nanoparticles with diameters in the nanometer range. The optical properties of the nanoparticles as well as their morphology and the structure of the SAMs were characterized by optical extinction spectroscopy and scanning tunneling microscopy.  相似文献

HL-2A is a new middle-sized tokamak device with two closed divertors. In 2004 campaign siliconization as a wall condition has been first done on HL-2A since the starting operation of the device. By using sil-iconization we observed that impurity has been obviously decreased. Most thin films have different thermal expansion coefficients from their substrates, thus thermal stresses will be introduced into the films when the temperature is changed during annealing and service. Calculations of these stresses for grains in various crystallographic orientations have been made for seven BCC transition metals Cr, Fe, Mo, Nb, Ta, V and W. Neglecting W, which is isotropic and the stresses are equiaxial and without grain orientation (hkl) dependence, the BCC metals may be grouped into two classes. In the first class (Cr, Mo, Nb and V), the (100)-oriented grains have the largest stresses, while the stresses σ1 and σ2 in other (hkl)-oriented grains decrease linearly with the increase of the angle between (hkl) and (100), and with σ1 〈 σ2 except in (100)- and (lll)-oriented grains. In the second class (Fe and Ta), on the contrary, the (100)-oriented grains have the lowest stresses, and the stresses σ1 and σ2 in other (hkl)-oriented grains increase linearly with the increase of the angle between (hkl) and (100), and with σ1 〉 σ2 except in (100)- and (111)-oriented grains.  相似文献
