The spectral distribution of laser radiation power generated in two (initial and final) regions of the flow of an active medium formed by a three-jet nozzle array of a supersonic cw chemical HF laser embodying the nozzle-nozzle-nozzle mixing scheme is investigated experimentally. It is demonstrated that the spectral lines can be selected by merely varying laser operating parameters, such as the feedback factor of the cavity, the orientation of the optical axis of the cavity with respect to the exit plane of the nozzle array, and the degree of secondary dilution of the active medium with helium. This method results in the selection of one line P 1?0 (6) with a power as high as 80% of the total radiation power and two lines P 1?0 (5) and P 1?0 (6) with a power of 100%.  相似文献

Infrared radio frequency double resonance effects have been recorded for CF3I with the 9R(12), 9R(14), 9R(16), 9R(18), and 9R(20) laser lines of 12C16O2 and with the 9P(12), 9P(14), and 9P(16) laser lines of 12C18O2. The spectra were recorded at fixed infrared frequency as a function of radio frequency in the range 1–500 MHz. It was found that strong well-resolved spectra could be obtained with the sample cell outside the laser cavity. Of the 471 resonances recorded, 142 were assigned to pure nuclear quadrupole transitions in rotational levels of many vibrational states, 6 of which were identified. Quadrupole coupling constants and magnetic hyperfine parameters were obtained for these states.  相似文献

We report here for the first time multiline oscillation of a cw-CO2 laser on all the four branches 10P, 10R, 9P, and 9R where all laser wavelengths share a common gain medium. The 9R, 9P and 10R branch lines lased at the expense of the high-gain 10P branch lines for which the cavity offered very high transmission losses. The 10P(20) line was made to lase by constructing another cavity with orthogonal polarization, thereby easing the strong competition between this line and the relatively low-gain 9R, 9P and 10R branch lines within the gain medium which is common to both cavities.  相似文献

Design and operation of a pulsed Laval nozzle and the characterization of molecular flow through such a nozzle using IR tunable diode laser (TDL) is the central theme of this work. The results here deal with He diluted N2O and CO2 gaseous systems. Boltzmann type plots of the spectral intensity data of both N2O and CO2 show non-linear behaviour. We have attempted to understand this non-linear behaviour of Boltzmann plots in terms of (1) instability in the jet and (2) a two-temperature model for the flowing gas, a cold central core and a hot boundary layer close to the nozzle walls. The model based on jet instability represents the data somewhat poorer than the two-temperature model. The parameters derived from fitting our experimental data to the former model could be used to calculate the thermodynamic parameters only through further approximations. Measured absorption line profile of the P(15) line of the v 2 band of N2O as a function of axial distance from the nozzle exit gradually shifts from a Lorentzian to a Gaussian type. Velocity distribution of N2O molecules in a Laval nozzle is determined by differentiating the absorption line profile of the P(15) line (v 0=576.235 cm–1) of the v 2 band of N2O. Translational temperature of N2O molecules is determined from the observed spectral profiles.  相似文献

Lasing and discharge in mixtures of SF6 with hydrogen and hydrocarbons are investigated. If the chemical reaction is initiated by a self-sustained discharge (a generator with both an inductive and capacitive energy storage can be used), the maximum lasing efficiency is attained at high values of the ratio E/p (where E is the electric field intensity and p is the pressure in the mixture) if shaped electrodes and preionization of the discharge gap are employed. For the first time, the lasing efficiency obtained in a nonchain HF laser is as high as 10% of the energy deposit and 4.5% of the stored energy for a specific radiation energy of ≈140 J/(l atm). At high efficiencies, the emission spectrum of the nonchain HF laser significantly broadens and cascade lasing at P(3-2) → P(2-1) → P(1-0) vibrational transitions for several rotational lines is realized.  相似文献

The performance of a continuous-wave (cw) CO flame chemical laser (FCL) of the CS2/O2/CO2 type is presented. The laser gives up to 0.7 W cw output power on a number ofP v (J) lines corresponding to 1110, ..., 76 vibrational bands of CO molecule. The measured values of chemical efficiency based on the reaction O+CSCO*(v)+S and the specific power are 0.1% and 0.7J/g, respectively. The spectral composition of the CO FCL of the CS2/O2/CO2 type shows lasing in the region from 5.194 to 5.573 m. All experimental measurements are conducted with a nondispersive optical cavity.  相似文献

By using high resolution infrared Fourier transform data on 13CD3OH and the 10P(22) and 10P(24) lines of a waveguide CO2 laser to optically pump this methanol isotope, eight new FIR laser lines were observed. The frequencies of five laser lines were directly measured by heterodyne detection with already known laser lines. Particularly interesting are the lines pumped by the 10P(24) line, since a triade of emissions could be completely assigned.  相似文献

The masses of K 1(3 P 1) and K 1(1 P 1) are considered in a nonrelativistic constituent quark model, and the absolute value of the K 1(3 P 1)- K 1(1 P 1) mixing angle is determined to be about 59.29°. The comparison of the theoretical predictions on the strong decay widths of K 1(1270) and K 1(1400) in the 3 P 0 decay model as well as the production ratio of these two states in the τ decay between the available experimental data strongly favors that the K 1(3 P 1)- K 1(1 P 1) mixing angle is about +59.29°.  相似文献

The implications of the f1(1285)-f1(1420) mixing for the K1(3P1)- K1(1P1) mixing angle are investigated. Based on the f1(1285)-f1(1420) mixing angle ∼ 50° suggested from the analysis for a substantial body of data concerning the f1(1420) and f1(1285), the masses of the K1(3P1) and K1(1P1) are determined to be ∼ 1307.35±0.63 MeV and 1370.03±9.69 MeV, respectively, which therefore suggests that the K1(3P1)- K1(1P1) mixing angle is about ±(59.55±2.81)°. Also, it is found that the mass of the h1(1P1) (mostly of sˉ) state is about 1495.18±8.82 MeV. Comparison of the predicted results and the available experimental information of the h1(1380) shows that without further confirmation on the h1(1380), the assignment of the h1(1380) as the sˉ member of the 1P1 meson nonet may be premature.  相似文献

K-shell dielectronic, trielectronic, and quadruelectronic recombination and polarization of X-ray emission have been studied for the highly charged Si9+ ions in the initial ground state 2P1/2 and the metastable state 2P3/2 using the Flexible Atomic Code. It is found that the resonant recombination cross section from the long-lived metastable state is comparable in magnitude with that of the ground state, so it is important for plasma diagnostics. For Si9+(2P1/2), trielectronic recombination contributions of nearly 25% to the total resonant recombination strength are predicted, which is less than previous calculations. We compare the degree of linear polarization for the eleven dominant resonant recombination satellite lines from the initial parent Si9+(2P1/2) and Si9+(2P3/2) ions. For the same X-ray lines, large variations of polarization are found between 2P1/2 and 2P3/2, which can be employed to diagnose formation mechanisms of intermediate resonance states and corresponding X-ray lines.  相似文献

The electrical conductivities of SrZr0.9Y0.1O3-δ (SZY10) and BaCe0.95Y0.05O3-δ(BCY5) were measured as a function of hydrogen partial pressure P(H2), oxygen partial pressure P(O2), steam partial pressure P(H2O) and temperature. Their relaxation processes were analyzed using the solution of Fick's diffusion equation to determine the chemical diffusion coefficients and surface reaction rate constants. There were the differences in chemical relaxation kinetics and the conductivity dependence on P(H2O) between the both oxides. The chemical diffusion coefficients depend on temperature but are essentially independent of P(H2), P(O2) and P(H2O). The ambipolar diffusion treatment can explain the temperature dependence of chemical diffusion coefficients quantitatively. The chemical diffusion coefficients of SZY10 is one or two order of magnitude smaller than those of BCY5 at low temperature. The sluggish conductivity relaxation in SZY10 was due to considerably small oxygen vacancy diffusion coefficients at low temperatures. The total conductivity depends on P(H2O) in the case of SZY10, but not for BCY5. This different dependence on P(H2O) is caused by the difference in the ratio between proton mobility and oxide-ion mobility.  相似文献

Effects of an external magnetic field (B) on the SO2 fluorescence have been examined under excitation of the ‘C’ band and the single rotational levels of the ‘B’ and ‘E’ bands of the A(¹A2) ← X¹A1 transition. For the ‘C’ band, the total SO2 fluorescence was studied, while for excitation of the single rotational levels, fluorescence of the single rotational lines of (rR5(5) (31711 cm-1), pP7(7) (31662 cm-1)) (‘E’ band) and of (rR8(8) (31000 cm-1), pP10(10) (30927 cm-1)) (‘B’ band) was studied. Decay of the SO2 fluorescence was studied with nanosecond time resolution in the 1?5–50 mTorr region. In the presence of a magnetic field, decay of the total SO2 fluorescence and of the fluorescence belonging to the single rotational lines were fitted by the bi-exponential functions. In the case of the total SO2 fluorescence, this function also includes the time independent term, which, however, is dependent on a magnetic field. The time independent term belongs to the long-living component, which can be approximated by a constant in the time-scale studied. Radiationless processes induced by an external field were directly observed. The magnetic field and pressure dependences of the processes induced by a field were studied under excitation of the SO2 fluorescence by light of a different wavelength. The data obtained were explained by the direct mechanism.  相似文献

The use of supersonic nozzles for the driver nitrogen in an ejector nozzle bank (ENB) for chemical-oxygen iodine laser (COIL) resulted in the elimination of the chocking effect for the primary oxygen flow and formation of a low temperature gain medium. The ENB generates a supersonic gain medium with a Mach number greater than 2.2, and a temperature less than 200 K. The potential recovered pressure was 90 Torr with a small signal gain greater than 10-2 cm-1. With a 5 cm gain length for this nozzle, the output power was 1.2 kW with a chemical efficiency of 23.4%. The absorption of three linesP(30) (1037.4 cm–1),P(36) (1031.5 cm–1) andP(40) (1027.4cm–1) of the pulsed CO2 laser (0001–0200 transition) by SiF4 was examined at various pulse energies, pulse durations, temperatures, optical path lengths and pressures of this compound and several non-absorbing gases. In addition, the low-intensity infrared absorption spectrum of tetrafluorosilane was compared with high-intensity absorption data for all lines of the laser. The experimental dependences demonstrate nonlinear features of the absorption phenomena originating from the high power of the incident radiation and collisions of absorbing molecules with surroundings. These effects are included in the analytical formula, being an extended form of the Lambert-Beer law. which reasonably approximates all experimental data. The importance of the results obtained for understanding general features of multiphoton absorption and for revealing potential applications of SiF4 as a sensitizer for the infrared region is presented in brief.  相似文献

The Borel-Weil (BW) construction for unitary irreps of a compact Lie group is extended to a construction of all unitary irreps of the quantum groupU q(n). Thisq-BW construction uses a recursion procedure forU q(n) in which the fiber of the bundle carries an irrep ofU q(n–1)×U q(1) with sections that are holomorphic functions in the homogeneous spaceU q(n)/U q(n–1)×U q(1). A long-pathlength variable temperature cell has been used to study three hydrogen chloride 0–1 vibration-rotational lines, P(7), P(8), and P(9) which were broadened by He, Ar, N2, O2, and CO at room temperature and by Ar at low temperatures down to 190 K. The method employed to extract the linewidths is the equivalent width method. The temperature dependence of the resulting cross sections for the HClAr broadened lines is similar to that recently found for other argon broadened HCl infrared and microwave lines. The results reported here (for high J lines) complement the other results (for low J lines) and together seem to constitute enough new data for further theoretical attempts at describing the process of collisional broadening in general, and the broadening of HCl by argon in particular.  相似文献

We present an experimental report on the recent observation of lasing at 26.1 and 30.4 nm on the 3p 1 S 0–3s 3 P 1 [termedG((0–1)] and 3p 1 S 0–3s 1 P 1 [termedE(0–1)] transitions in Ne-like V, in which the normally weakG(0–1) transition was observed to lase more strongly than theE(0–1) transition. The experiment was performed on the Asterix IV iodine laser with a prepulse 5.23 ns before the main pulse. At a target length of about 2.5 cm, it was found that, while theG(0–1) andE(0–1) lines have comparable intensities in V, theE(0–1) line dominates spectra from Mn, Cr, Ti and Sc, which have adjacent nuclear charges. It was also found that the two lasers in V also have different temporal histories and spatial distributions. This is in contrast to the LASNEX + XRASER simulation, which predicts virtually similar temporal and spatial behavior for the two transitions.
