It has been reported about recording highly stable holograms on the basis of color centers in calcium fluoride crystals at a temperature of 200°C by UV light. In this study, holograms were recorded by visible light (4880 Å). The recorded holograms have a low diffraction efficiency, which can be significantly increased using postexposure irradiation of a sample by incoherent UV light at a temperature of 200°C. This increase demonstrates an important role of the drift component in the diffusion-drift mechanism of recording holograms based on color centers in ionic crystals.  相似文献

The dependences of the characteristics of volume holograms recorded in additively colored crystals of potassium chloride on the spatial frequency and the recording temperature are studied. It is found that these dependences are nonmonotonic, which indicates the presence of nonlocal mechanisms of holographic recording in the crystals. These mechanisms involve diffusion and drift processes of redistribution of color centers between the nodes and antinodes of a recorded interference pattern. The results obtained are used to determine the recording conditions providing the maximum possible diffraction efficiency of the holograms.  相似文献

The absorption spectra and holographic characteristics of a CaF2:Na crystal sample are measured at different wavelengths within the absorption band of colloidal centers, along with the same characteristics of the samples with holograms after their irradiation by incoherent UV light. Results of the study confirm the diffusion-and-drift mechanism of recording holograms on color centers in ionic crystals.  相似文献

Persistent holograms are recorded with red light in lithium niobate crystals doped with manganese and iron. Different erasure mechanisms are investigated, and a recording schedule for multiplexing holograms with equal diffraction efficiencies is proposed. To test the recording schedule experimentally, we multiplex 50 plane-wave holograms with the proposed recording schedule.  相似文献

When holograms are recorded on color centers in calcium fluoride crystals, these centers undergo spatial redistribution in the crystal bulk, which is accompanied by their transformation. The nature of this transformation has been investigated by optical spectroscopy and confocal scanning microscopy. It is shown that, under the recording conditions we used, the degree of center aggregation increases in both minima and maxima of the interference field in which the recording performed. The enhanced aggregation in field minima is caused by the increase in the concentration color centers, while the additional aggregation in maxima is determined by the specific conditions of hologram recording: the wavelength and power density of recording radiation and the crystal temperature.  相似文献

Persistent holograms are recorded with green light in LiNbO(3) crystals doped with Mn and Fe. The recording sensitivity is 20 times better than that obtained by recording with red light. Partial loss of persistence is caused by using green light for recording.  相似文献

The results of studies that have been performed over the last decade in the field of development of silver halide and nonsilver holographic recording media of organic and inorganic origin are analyzed. It is shown that previously developed materials mainly allow the development of holographic investigations. Among irreversible materials, considerable progress has been made in improving the characteristics of photopolymerizable recording media, which has allowed their use in color image holography and 3D optical archive-type memory, as well as for fabricating holographic optical elements. In the field of improving the properties of reversible holographic recording media, practically significant results have been obtained for the creation of photoanisotropic materials based on azo dyes experiencing cis–trans photoisomerization, which allow the recording of polarization holograms. The needs of dynamic holography have been satisfied by lightsensitive doped inorganic crystals and polymer layers that have been created with nonlinear optical properties.  相似文献

双掺杂LiNbO3微观光学参量对衍射效率的影响   总被引:13,自引:5,他引:8  
通过联立两中心带输运物质方程和双光束耦合波方程,建立了双掺杂LiNbO3晶体采用双色光(紫外敏化光和HeiNe记录光)实现非挥发性全息存储的动力学模型。理论上分析了深、浅两杂质中心的微观光学参量(包括敏化光的深中心和浅中心光激发系数、记录光的浅中心光激发系数以及深中心和浅中心的电子复合系数)对记录饱和衍射效率和固定衍射效率的影响。数值计算表明,在双掺杂LiNbO3晶体的非挥发性全息存储中,为了得到高的固定衍射效率,应该选择复合系数较大、记录光激发系数较高、敏化光激发系数较低的浅杂质中心以及敏化光激发系数较高、复合系数最佳的深杂质中心。  相似文献

Grating spacing dependence of nonvolatile holographic recording in doubly doped lithium niobate crystals is theoretically investigated allowing arbitrary charge transport lengths. It is shown that the nonvolatile refractive index modulation initially increases with increasing grating spacing, then a saturation behavior arises because of the dominant bulk photovoltaic effect. Although different charge transport length results in different nonvolatile refractive index modulation, the grating spacing dependence of nonvolatile holographic recording obeys almost the same rules for arbitrary charge transport lengths. The experimental results obtained by recording nonvolatile holograms in LiNbO3:Cu:Ce crystals with different grating spacing are consistent with the theoretical analyses.  相似文献

In this work, we report the influence of the presence of photochromic and color centers in the photobleaching of thulium ions blue emission in YLF (YLiF4) crystals doped with 1 mol% Tm (3+). The samples were irradiated at room temperature both with electron beam and high intensity ultrashort pulses from a Ti:Sapphire CPA laser system. In both irradiations the production of photochromic and color centers was observed via the absorption bands in the UV and visible ranges. Pure LiF and pure and oxygen doped YLF crystals were used to identify the color centers produced and their optical properties. From a phenomenological model it was possible to study the interaction between color centers and thulium ions, and their effect in photobleaching and photodarkening behaviors. Finally, the blue up laser level population was computed using a rate equation analysis.  相似文献

The mechanisms of recording and decay of holographic gratings in CdF2 crystals with bistable gallium or indium centers are considered. The analysis of the decay kinetics allows one to determine potentialities and conditions for using these crystals both for static recording of holograms and for holography in real time. This time scale is fairly broad and covers the time range from 1 s to 10 μs or shorter. Energy characteristics of the bistable centers, namely, the binding energies of the deep and shallow levels and heights of the barriers between them, are refined.  相似文献

Possible applications of dynamic holograms for image amplification and image processing are discussed. The principal physical processes of holographic amplification of coherent light are analysed.Amplification of grey scale images during recording of dynamic holograms in pure reduced and Fe-doped crystals of LiNbO3 is demonstrated. One-exposure technique of image subtraction or addition is proposed and realised in Fe-doped crystals of LiNbO3.  相似文献

Photochromic CdF2:Ga crystals with bistable impurity centers were effectively used for the dynamic recording of holograms and readout over the visible and near IR spectral regions at spatial frequencies of up to 5000 mm?1 at room temperature. The diffraction efficiency of the dynamic holograms was as high as 60% at maximum and exceeded 1% when the beams’ intensities were in the ratio 1:100. As one goes from the low temperatures (≤200 K) to 300 K, the peak diffraction efficiency of the dynamic holograms decreases approximately by a factor of 1.5, while the speed of their response and photosensitivity in the long-wavelength spectral region increases by more than an order of magnitude. For the sake of comparison, the dynamic holograms were recorded under the same conditions as the widely used electrooptical SBN crystals. Comparative analysis ascertained a unique combination of the useful features offered by CdF2:Ga crystals in holography.  相似文献

The diffraction efficiency and the recording and relaxation times of dynamic reflection holograms, recorded in CdF2 crystals with bistable centers are studied experimentally in the temperature range 20–100°C. In the model experiments which measured the quality of the wave reflected from the hologram, the dynamic wavefront distortions are demonstrated to be efficiently compensated using a holographic corrector based on these crystals. CdF2 crystals with bistable centers are likely to be useful in solving problems of correction of laser light wavefront and image correction in observation telescopes with nonideal primary mirrors.  相似文献

Volume holograms are stored in KCl:Na crystals using the photoinduced reorientation of FA centers. The dependence of the diffraction efficiency on the directions of polarization of the recording and the reconstructing waves are shown. The conditions for preparing photochromic CaF2 crystals, recording holograms with 532-nm radiation in them, and postexposure photothermal treatment of samples with holograms that provide the formation of holographic elements of significant thickness (about 1 cm) are considered. It is shown that the diffraction efficiency of volume holograms in such crystals in the case of reading out by radiation with wave-lengths of 532 and 632.8 nm can be as high as 10–15%. The role of the recording mechanism and the Borrmann effect in the fabrication of these holograms is demonstrated.  相似文献

Photothermochemical conversion of simple color centers (which include from one to four anionic vacancies) and highly aggregated ones in additively colored crystals of calcium fluoride doped by sodium is studied. The annealing of crystals with a low sodium content in a reducing atmosphere (additive coloration) leads to the predominant formation of simple color centers, which convert into highly aggregated centers under the joint action of heating and irradiation in absorption bands of simple centers. The irradiation of highly aggregated centers into their absorption bands and simultaneous heating causes these centers to convert into simple centers. The additive coloration of crystals with a relatively high sodium content leads to the predominant formation of highly aggregated centers. The heating of these crystals along with the irradiation in absorption bands of highly aggregated centers causes these centers to convert into simple centers. The formation of different color centers in the course of additive coloration of crystals with different impurity content and different results of photothermochemical conversion of centers in these crystals are connected with the dual action of impurities. Anion vacancies, which compensate the charge of the impurity alkali metal, facilitate the aggregation of color centers. At the same time, the alkali impurity stabilizes simple color centers.  相似文献

Persistent holograms are recorded locally with red light in a LiNbO>(3) crystal doped with Mg and Fe. Selective erasure is realized by use of a focused UV sensitizing light. We demonstrate the recording of 50 localized images as well as selective erasure in a 4 mm x 4 mm x 4 mm crystal. A comparison of the total recording time for M holograms obtained with the conventional distributed-volume recording and the localized methods is presented.  相似文献
