The applicability of diffusion theory for the determination of tissue optical properties from steady-state diffuse reflectance is investigated.Analytical expressions from diffusion theory using the two most commonly assumed boundary conditions at the air-tissue interface and the two definitions of the diffusion coefficient are compared with Monte Carlo simulations.The effects of the choice of the boundary conditions and diffusion coefficients on the accuracy of the findings for the optical parameters are quantified.and criteria for accurate curve-fitting algorithms are developed.It is shown that the error in deriving the optical coefficients is considerably smaller for the solution which uses the extrapolated boundary condition and the diffusion coefficient independence of absorption coeffcient,compared to the other three solutions.  相似文献

Membrane viscosity of the reconstituted vesicles was calibrated by rotational diffusion of bacteriorhodopin(BR) in dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine(DMPC) and egg phosphatidylcholine(PC) vesicles.Rotational diffusion of BR in the vesicles was measured by flash-induced absorption anisotropy decay.BR was,for the first time ,reconstituted successfully into DMPC and egg PC vesicles,From the measurement of flash-induced absorption anisotropy decay of BR,the value of rotational diffusion coefficient D was obtained from each curve fitting by a global fitting procedure and ,in turn,membrane viscosity η was estimated from D.The results have shown that membrane viscosity is temperature-dependent,It was decreased as temperature increased,but a transition occurred in the region of the respective phase transition of DMPC and egg PC,respectively,The decrease of η was fast near the phase transition for DMPC and egg PC.Few effects of lipid/BR ratio and glycerol or sucrose in suspension medium on membrane viscosity were found.  相似文献

Practical absorption limits of MPP absorber   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The construction and properties of microperforated panel (MPP) absorber are discussed. The absorption limit of the absorber had been shown that low values of the perforate constant k = d(f/10)1/2 and the orifice diameter d (in mm) are essential for MPP to have high absorption in wide frequency band. To find the exact limits, take 1 for k as a start, because both specific resistance and high absorption require k around one. And the orifice diameter d is chosen as 0.1 mm, so that the peak absorption coefficient (resonance absorption) is at 1000 Hz, and high sound frequency may be in the absorption region. Is it possible for a single layer of such an MPP to cover the whole absorption region required in practice? The half-absorption limit is not a good criterion, because low absorption comes in also in some cases. The 0.5 absorption coefficient limit is suggested for practical region, as a standard for comparison. Absorption curves were drawn for different load resistances, of absorption coefficients versus frequency. Ordinary MPP absorber absorbs in slightly over two octaves, and the new absorber with r = 1 (specific resistance equal to the characteristic impedance in air)is slightly better than these, 2.5 octaves. The new absorbers with r > 1, are much better than these, and some satisfies high absorption in broad frequency range. Realization of these will mean great progress of MPP absorbers.  相似文献

Quantitative knowledge of the film thickness and mass fraction of the urea-water solution is very crucial in many practical applications. Film thickness or mass fraction can only be determined individually by conventional measurement techniques. We develop a novel measurement method to measure the film thickness and mass fraction of ure~water solution simultaneously. The absorption coefficients of urea-water solution (5 50 wt%) are measured, a pair of optimized wavelengths is then chosen to achieve high measurement sensitivity. Cross validation is also performed and uncertainties of the technique are smaller than 0.68% for thickness measurements and 1.86% for mass fractions.  相似文献

Colloidal Au and poly(vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) composite thin films are fabricated by spin-coating method. Linear optical absorption measurements of the Au/PVP composite films indicate an absorption peak around 530 nm due to the surface plasmon resonance of gold nanoparticles. Nonlinear optical properties are studied using standard Z-scan technique, and experimental results show large optical nonlinearities of the Au/PVP composite films. A large value of χ^(3)/α up to 0.56× 10-^10esu·cm is obtained, which is comparable to the best values reported in metal/oxlde composite films.  相似文献

In this paper a new scheme for teleporting an unknown entangled state of two particles is proposed. To weaken the requirement for the quantum channel, without loss of generality, two communicators only share a non-maximally entangled two-particle state. Teleportation can be probabilistically realized if sender performs Bell-state measurements and Hadamard transformation and receiver introduces two auxiliary particles, operates C-not operation, single-qubit measurements and appropriate unitary transformations. The probability of successful teleportation is determined by the smaller one among the coefficients' absolute values of the quantum channel.  相似文献

An experimental method for investigating the effect of medium boundary on distributions of light in the biological tissue phantom intralipid is presented. Measurements of distributions of light in intralipid-10% suspensions at 633 nm are described, in which a narrow collimated beam is incident on the surface of the phantoms and into the different depths inside of the phantoms. The experimental results show that the effect of the boundary of the medium on the curves geometry of light distributions is trivial, but the effect on intensity of scattering light is obvious, the maximal relative change of the energy fluence reaches 53.8% and the position of the peak of the energy fluence curve has a shift of 1.1 mm in the reverse direction of incident light for the phantom with albedo a=0.998, and the effect of the boundary is decreased with the increase of the absorption coefficients of tissue phantoms. The experimental results were analysed by the diffusion theory. These studies will be helpful for further understandings of the relation between the boundary of biological tissue and the distribution of light in tissue.  相似文献

This paper carries out first principles calculation of the structure,electronic and optical properties of Be x Zn 1 x O alloys based on the density-functional theory for the compositions x = 0.0,0.25,0.5,0.75,1.0.The lattice constants deviations of alloys obey Vegard’s law well.The Be x Zn 1 x O alloys have the direct band gap(Γ-Γ) character,and the bowing coefficients are less than the available theoretical values.Moreover,it investigates in detail the optical properties(dielectric functions,absorption spectrum and refractive index) of these ternary mixed crystals.The obtained results agree well with the available theoretical and experimental values.  相似文献

The general formulation of ultrasonic absorption in a relaxation medium is discussed in thispaper.By taking account of transitions between all neighbouring energy levels of internal oscilla-tors a new calculation of ultrasonic absorption coefficients in molecular crystals is given.Ultrasonicabsorption coefficents for crytalline naphthalene are estimatd for different temperatures in termsof improved theory.Good agreement is found between the predicted values and experimental resultson the temperature dependence of the absorption coefficient.  相似文献

A diffusion theory model induced by a line source distribution is presented for oblique-incidence reflectometry.By fitting to this asymmetric diffusion model,the absorption and reduced scattering coefficients μa and μ’s of the turbid medium can both be determined with accuracy of 10% from the absolute profile of the diffuse reflectance in the incident plane at the negative position-1.5 transport mean free path(mfp’) away from the incident point;particularly,μs’ can be estimated from the data at positive positions within 0-1.0 mfp’ with 10% accuracy.The method is verified by Monte Carlo simulations and experimentally tested on a phantom.  相似文献

The creation of a good physics department in the newly established Hebrew University in Jerusalem (opened in 1925) was an important goal for Chaim Weizmann, President of the Zionist Organization and founder of the University (and chemist, by profession). A. H. Fraenkel, the mathematician, and L. S. Ornstein, the physicist from Utrecht, invested a lot of effort in achieving this goal. Albert Einstein was consulted on an almost day-to-day basis. Serious attempts were made to bring a first-rate theoretician to Jerusalem. After 1933, the chances for getting such a physicist were actually very good. George Placzek worked in Jerusalem during the academic year 1934–1935. Felix Bloch, Eugene Wigner, and Fritz London were offered positions as theoretical physicists in Jerusalem and considered the offers favorably. The discussions and correspondence with these great physicists are illuminating. Budget limitations, the problem of the teaching language (Hebrew) and the seclusion of Jerusalem from science centers in Europe or the United States undermined all these efforts. A solution was found when Giulio Racah from Italy finally was appointed.  相似文献

The theoretical model of direct diffraction phase-contrast imaging with partially coherent x-ray source is expressed by an operator of multiple integral. It is presented that the integral operator is linear. The problem of its phase retrieval is described by solving an operator equation of multiple integral. It is demonstrated that the solution of the phase retrieval is unstable. The numerical simulation is performed and the result validates that the solution of the phase retrieval is unstable.  相似文献

The effect of input power fluctuation on photo-thermal shot noise in the end mirrors of a laser interferometer gravitational-wave observatory (LIGO) is analysed according to the statistical optics, which is a supplement of Braginsky's research. The laser light folding in LIGO increases a correlation of input power fluctuation in the photo-thermal shot noise. This part of noise has spectral density proportional to -2 in low frequency bands, and -4 in high frequency bands. It is not a white noise and may affect the processing about data of interferometers. To obtain an advanced LIGO, photo-thermal shot noise in end mirrors due to correlation of input power fluctuation is up to Braginsky's photo-thermal noise in the frequency range 1-100 Hz.  相似文献

By adopting the background field method, the response of the dressed quark propagator to the presence of finite chemical potential is analysed up to the second order. From this, we obtain a model-independent formula for the chemical potential dependence (up to the second order) of the in-medium two-quark condensate and show by both Lorentz covariance arguments and explicit calculations that the O(μ) contribution to the in-medium two-quark condensate vanishes identically.  相似文献

An ionizing wavepacket of electron will re-visit its parent molecular ion during photoionization by strong laser field. This scenario is associated with physical concepts such as molecular re-scattering/collision, interference, diffraction, molecular clock, and generation of XUV light via high-order harmonic generation. On the workbench of a reduced dimensionality model of molecular hydrogen ions irradiated by laser pulse of 0.01-10.0 a.u. intensities, one-cycle pulsewidth, and 800nm wavelength, by deploying a momentum operator on the time-dependent wavefunction of an ionizing wavepacket, we can determine, in a precise manner, the exact time instant for the re-visiting electron to come back to the cation position. The time value is 57.6% of an optical cycle of the exciting laser pulse. This result may be useful in attosecond pump-probe experiments or molecular clock applications.  相似文献

The ion flux dependence of the self-organized Si nanodots induced by 1.5 keV Ar+ ion sputter erosion has been studied. It shows that for the regime with ion flux >∼280 μA/cm2, the currently adopted Bradley-Harper (BH) model, which is incorporated in a dynamic continuum equation holds valid. However, for ion flux <∼280 μA/cm2, the measured dot size and surface roughness deviate drastically from the BH model. To interpret the data for this lower ion flux regime, the effect of the Ehrlich-Schwoebel (ES) step-edge barrier was introduced into the continuum equation. A consistency between the calculated and the experimental results was reached, furthermore, a reasonable trend was found, that is, the effective ES diffusion decreases steadily with the increasing ion flux, and at ∼280 μA/cm2, it became negligibly small.  相似文献

We propose a model to study the evolution of opinion under the influence of all external field on small world network. The maero-behaviour of agents' opinion and the relative change rate as time elapses are studied. The external field is found to play an important role in making the opinion s(t) balance or increase, and without the influence of the external field, the relative change rate γ(t) shows nonlinear increasing behaviour as time runs. What is more, this nonlinear increasing behaviour is independent of the initial condition, the strength of the external field and the time that we cancel the external field. The results may reflect some phenomena in our society, such as the function of the macro-control in China or the mass media in our society.  相似文献

We perform the micro-photoluminescence measurement at low temperatures and a scanning optical mapping with high spatial resolution of a single V-grooved GaAs quantum wire modified by the selective ion-implantation and rapid thermally annealing. While the mapping shows the luminescences respectively from the quantum wires and from quantum well areas between quantum wires in general, the micro-photoluminescence at liquid He temperatures reveals a plenty of spectral structures of the PL band for a single quantum wire. The spectral structures are attributed to the inhomogeneity and non-uniformity of both the space structure and compositions of real wires as well as the defects nearby the interface between quantum wire and surrounding quantum well structures. All these make the excitons farther localized in quasi-zero-dimensional quantum potential boxes related to these non-uniformity and/or defects. The results also demonstrate the ability of micro-photoluminescence measurement and mapping for the characterization of both opto-electronic and structural properties of real quantum wires.  相似文献

A parametric quantum mechanical wavefunction naturally induces parametric probability distributions by taking absolute square, and we can consider its classical Fisher information. On the other hand, it also induces parametric rank-one projections which may be viewed as density operators, and we can talk about its quantum Fisher information. Among many versions of quantum Fisher information, there are two prominent ones. The first, defined via a quantum score function, was introduced by Helstrom in 1967 and is well known. The second, defined via the square root of the density operator, has its origin in the skew information introduced by Wigner and Yanase in 1963 and remains relatively unnoticed. This study is devoted to investigating the relationships between the classical Fisher information and these two versions of quantum Fisher information for wavefunctions. It is shown that the two versions of quantum Fisher information differ by a factor 2 and that they dominate the classical Fisher information. The non-coincidence of these two versions of quantum Fisher information may be interpreted as a manifestation of quantum discord. We further calculate the difference between the Helstrom quantum Fisher information and the classical Fisher information, and show that it is precisely the instantaneous phase fluctuation of the wavefunctions.  相似文献
