The antiproton-nucleon t-matrix with propagation in the nuclear medium is calculated selfconsistently and applied to the construction of optical potentials for the elastic scattering of antiprotons from nuclei. We find that this treatment gives results that are sensitive to medium corrections even though the strong absorption acts to mask these corrections partially. The agreement with scattering experiments at 46.8 MeV on 12C is very good. We compare potentials containing medium corrections to those based on free pN amplitudes for 12C and 40Ca. The local approximation to the optical potential is found attractive at low energies, becoming shallower with increasing bombardment energy in the range considered here (up to about EL = 120 MeV).  相似文献

Elastic scattering of 180 MeV antiprotons by several closed-shell nuclei are analyzed using Glauber's multiple scattering theory. Spin observables in elastic scattering are obtained within this framework. The sensitivity of the polarizations to the spin-flip amplitudes are discussed in terms of the¯NN potential models used for the calculations. Spineffects in angular distribution are found to be small.  相似文献

On the basis of the dispersive alpha-cluster model for target nuclei and the theory of multiple diffractive scattering, differential cross sections and analyzing powers for the elastic scattering of 400 and 700-MeV deuterons on 12C and 16O target nuclei were calculated in the pointlike-deuteron approximation. In these calculations, the amplitude for incident-deuteron scattering on nuclei was constructed with the aid of amplitudes for scattering that were obtained from a fit to data on d 16O scattering. The same features were calculated on the basis of the diffraction approximation with allowance for the internal deuteron structure by using the amplitudes obtained earlier for nucleon scattering on 12C and 16O nuclei within the same dispersive alpha-clustermodel. The latter made it possible to perform calculations without employing adjustable parameters. The observables calculated on the basis of either approach agree with available experimental data.  相似文献

The experimental data on the 180 MeV proton and 50, 180 MeV antiproton scattering by the nuclei12C,40Ca and208Pb have been analysed on the basis of the phenomenological diffraction theory. The optical properties of the nuclei with regards to the incident protons and antiprotons are investigated. Various limiting cases of the proton- and antiproton-nucleus scattering are considered. The contribution of the Coulomb and the spin-orbit interactions to the differential cross sections of these processes has been also analysed. The authors are indebted to D.M. Skrypnik for assistance in preparing the English version of this paper.  相似文献

Polarization observables of elastic proton scattering on 13C and 13N nuclei are calculated by using the theory of multiple diffractive scattering and the α-cluster model with dispersion. The 13C and 13N nuclei are considered as those that consist of a deformed core and an additional cluster (nucleon) occurring with the highest probability inside the core. It is shown that this assumption on the structure of these nuclei makes it possible to match the calculated and measured observables without resort to adjustable parameters.  相似文献

The differential cross sections for the elastic scattering of 12C and 16O nuclei by 12C nuclei are calculated on the basis of the theory of multiple diffractive scattering and the dispersive alpha-cluster model. The calculations were performed by using either an effective or a free αα amplitude. It is shown that the results obtained in these two cases are noticeably different.  相似文献

A generalization of the phenomenological S-matrix model taking into account isolated Regge poles is proposed for simultaneously describing refractive effects in the cross sections for the elastic and inelastic scattering of light nuclei. The cross sections for elastic α + 24Mg scattering are analyzed at energies of 50, 54, 65.7, 81, and 119 MeV. The analysis of the cross sections for elastic scattering is supplemented with an analysis of the inelastic scattering of alpha particles that is accompanied by the excitation of the first excited state (2+) of 24Mg nuclei. It is shown that the proposed model makes it possible to describe satisfactorily all of the aforementioned cases of elastic and inelastic scattering, correctly reproducing the refraction Airy structures and anomalous large-angle scattering that are observed at large scattering angles.  相似文献

Angular distributions of the elastic scattering of 28Si on 29Si and 30Si have been measured for incident beam energies at E = 65 and 70 MeV with a time-of-flight spectrometer for heavy ions. At 70 MeV the neutron transfer 30Si(28Si, 29Si)29Si was observed in addition to the elastic channel. The pronounced oscillations in the elastic scattering distributions are interpreted as being due to an elastic transfer of neutrons between the colliding nuclei during the scattering process. This assumption is in accordance with some general features of the data and allows for the extraction of spectroscopic factors of the transferred neutrons.  相似文献

After the EMC and subsequent experiments at CERN, SLAC and DESY on the deep inelastic scattering of polarized leptons on polarized nucleons, it is now established that the Q2=0 value of the axial strange form factor of the nucleon, a quantity which is connected with the spin of the proton and is quite relevant from the theoretical point of view, is relatively large. In this review, we consider different methods and observables that allow one to obtain information on the strange axial and vector form factors of the nucleon at different values of Q2. These methods are based on the investigation of the neutral current induced effects such as the P-odd asymmetry in the scattering of polarized electrons on protons and nuclei, the elastic neutrino (antineutrino) scattering on protons and the quasi-elastic neutrino (antineutrino) scattering on nuclei. We discuss in detail the phenomenology of these processes and the existing experimental data.  相似文献

Differential cross sections of the elastic scattering of protons of intermediate energies by 9B and 10B nuclei are calculated within the Glauber theory. The matrix elements of elastic scattering are derived with a wave function in the three-particle 2αp-model (for 9B) and with an oscillatory wave function (for 10B). The differential cross-sections are calculated with allowance for the triple collisions on 9B nuclei and in the approximation of double collisions on 10B nuclei. The sensitivity of the differential cross-section to the 9B nucleus structure is analyzed. The differential cross section of 10B at E = 197 MeV is compared to the results from calculations using the distorted wave method.  相似文献

Elastic scattering differential cross sections for the interaction of 100 MeV protons with 24Mg and 28Si have been measured using a high-resolution Ge(Li) spectrometer to resolve the inelastic scattering contribution to the elastic peak. The results have been analysed using the conventional optical model, and the experimental differential cross sections and total reaction cross section are excellently reproduced. The results agree with previous analyses of the elastic scattering of 100 MeV protons on 1p shell nuclei in that no set of geometric parameters can provide a quantitative fit to both nuclei. It is observed, however, that the fluctuations of the optical-model parameters for optimum fits are decreased over the fluctuations observed for the 1p shell nuclei. The present results combined with previous optical-model analyses on 24Mg and 28Si at 50 MeV and 40 MeV respectively, are found to be consistent with an energy dependence of dV/dE ≈ −0.3 for the depth of the real central potential in agreement with other, more extensive, investigations of the energy dependence for protons elastically scattered from 16O and 40Ca.  相似文献

The Coulomb interaction leads to an increase of the real part of the amplitude of scattering of negatively charged particles (antiprotons, hyperons) by nuclei. In consequence, when antiprotons (negative hyperons) are decelerated in a medium with polarized nuclei, their effective energy of interaction with the medium and the nuclear spin precession frequency in a pseudomagnetic field grow as the particles decelerate. As a result, spin rotation of negatively charged particles becomes observable despite their rapid deceleration. This provides information about the spin-dependent part of the amplitude of coherent elastic zero-angle scattering in the range of low energies, where scattering experiments are practically impossible to perform.  相似文献

The elastic scattering of α-particles on 6Li nuclei has been measured from 20° to 170° (c.m.) and the inelastic scattering to the first excited state of 6Li has been measured for forward and backward angles. The elastic scattering angular distributions are calculated (i) in terms of pure potential scattering, (ii) in terms of potential scattering with an l-cut-off on the imaginary part of the potential and (iii) in terms of the coherent addition of the potential scattering amplitude and of the exchange amplitude. The third method gives the best fit to the data. The inelastic angular distributions are compatible with the macroscopic calculations, except in the very backward region where exchange phenomena are also shown to dominate.  相似文献

The cross sections for elastic and inelastic η-meson scattering on 7Li nuclei are obtained on the basis of the αt-cluster representation of the target nucleus. The experimentally known values of the parameters of elastic ηα and αt scattering are used in exactly solving three-body Faddeev equations with separable two-body potentials. The η7Li elastic-scattering scattering length found from respective calculations is aη7Li = ?0.310 ? i0.198 fm.  相似文献

A calculation of π+ and π? elastic scattering in the resonance region by four spin-zero nuclei is presented. A non-static first order optical potential which includes binding corrections and short range correlations is used. The comparison with the experimental data shows rather good agreement at and above the resonance but elastic scattering at lower energies is largely overestimated. The calculated angular distributions are more sensitive to the variations of the rms radius than to variations of the surface thickness of the nucleus.  相似文献

Differential cross sections and polarization observables for the elastic and inelastic scattering of 800-MeV protons on 16O and 20Ne nuclei are calculated on the basis of the theory of multiple diffractive scattering and the α-cluster model involving dispersion. The single-particle nucleon-density distributions obtained within the α-cluster model involving dispersion are used in the calculations. The differential cross sections and polarization calculated for elastic and inelastic p16O and p20Ne scattering are compatible with available experimental data. The spin-rotation functions calculated for elastic p16O and p20Ne scattering within the independent-nucleon model differ qualitatively from their counterparts calculated within the α-cluster model involving dispersion.  相似文献

Differential cross sections of the scattering of3He-particles were measured from144, 148, 150, 152, 154Sm nuclei atE τ=40.9 MeV. The elastic scattering data were analysed with the simple optical model. The ambiguities of the real central potential and some trends depending on the target mass in the optical potential parameters are discussed.  相似文献

Accurate elastic scattering angular distribution data measured at bombarding energies just above the Coulomb barrier have shapes that can markedly differ from or be the same as the expected classical Fresnel scattering pattern depending on the structure of the projectile, the target or both. Examples are given such as 18O + 184W and 16O + 148, 152Sm, where the expected rise above Rutherford scattering due to Coulomb-nuclear interference is damped by coupling to the target excited states, and the extreme case of 11Li scattering, where coupling to the 9Li + n + n continuum leads to an elastic scattering shape that cannot be reproduced by any standard optical model parameter set. An early indication that the projectile structure can modify the elastic scattering angular distribution was the large vector analyzing powers observed in polarised 6Li scattering. The recent availability of high-quality 6He, 11Li and 11Be data provides further examples of the influence that coupling effects can have on elastic scattering. Conditions for strong projectile-target coupling effects are presented with special emphasis on the importance of the beam-target charge combination being large enough to bring about the strong coupling effects. Several measurements are proposed that can lead to further understanding of strong coupling effects by both inelastic excitation and nucleon transfer on near-barrier elastic scattering. A final note on the anomalous nature of 8B elastic scattering is presented as it possesses a more or less normal Fresnel scattering shape whereas one would a priori not expect this due to the very low breakup threshold of 8B . The special nature of 11Li is presented as it is predicted that no matter how far above the Coulomb barrier the elastic scattering is measured, its shape will not appear as Fresnel like whereas the elastic scattering of all other loosely bound nuclei studied to date should eventually do so as the incident energy is increased, making both 8B and 11Li truly “exotic”.  相似文献

The microscopic pion-nucleus optical potential defined by the pion-nucleon scattering amplitude and the density distribution function of the target nucleus is applied to obtain the differential cross section of the elastic pion-nucleus scattering based on the solution to the relativistic wave equation. This allow one to account for effects of the relativization and distortion by the potential field. Data on π±-meson scattering on 28Si, 58Ni, and 208Pb nuclei at T lab = 291 MeV are analyzed and the parameters of the in-medium πN-amplitude are obtained. The parameters are compared with similar parameters for scattering on free nucleons.  相似文献
