Copper thin film on silane modified poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) substrate was fabricated by ultrasonic-assisted electroless deposition. The composition and topography of copper plating PET films were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and atomic force microscopy (AFM), respectively. Peel adhesion strength, as high as 16.7 N/cm, was achieved for the planting copper layer to the modified PET substrate with ultrasonic-assisted deposition; however, a relative low value as 11.9 N/cm was obtained for the sample without ultrasonic vibration by the same measurement. The electrical conductivity of Cu film was changed from 7.9 × 104 to 2.1 × 105 S/cm by using ultrasonic technique. Ultrasonic operation has the significant merits of fast deposition and formation of good membranes for electroless deposition of Cu on PET film.  相似文献

Potassium-oxygen species were deposited on pure, Si nanoparticles coated and H-terminated Si nanoparticles coated p-Si(1 0 0) surfaces by pulsed laser ablation of potassium superoxide (KO2) target. The deposition properties, composition and the work function changes of the deposited species were investigated in situ using an X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and a Kelvin probe measurement. The deposited species were assigned to K2O2 and KO2, and they can be selectively deposited by controlling the laser fluence: i.e., at 200 mJ/cm2 and at those more than 300 mJ/cm2, respectively. Experimental results showed that the work function decreased drastically with depositing of KOx (x = 1 or 2), and the minimum work function values observed were 1.0 eV and 0.7 eV for pure p-Si(1 0 0) and Si nanoparticles coated substrates, respectively. The study demonstrates the formation of the surface species with minimum work function can be identified by XPS.  相似文献

In order to study the effect of copper ion implantation on the aqueous corrosion behavior, samples of zircaloy-4 were implanted with copper ions with fluences ranging from 1 × 1016 to 1 × 1017 ions/cm2, using a metal vapor vacuum arc source (MEVVA) operated at an extraction voltage of 40 kV. The valence states and depth distributions of elements in the surface layer of the samples were analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Auger electron spectroscopy (AES), respectively. Glancing angle X-ray diffraction (GAXRD) was employed to examine the phase transformation due to the copper ion implantation. The potentiodynamic polarization technique was employed to evaluate the aqueous corrosion resistance of implanted zircaloy-4 in a 1 M H2SO4 solution. It was found that a significant improvement was achieved in the aqueous corrosion resistance of zircaloy-4 implanted with copper ions when the fluence is smaller than 5 × 1016 ions/cm2. The corrosion resistance of implanted samples declined with increasing the fluence. Finally, the mechanism of the corrosion behavior of copper-implanted zircaloy-4 was discussed.  相似文献

STM, STS, LEED and XPS data for crystalline θ-Al2O3 and non-crystalline Al2O3 ultra-thin films grown on NiAl(0 0 1) at 1025 K and exposed to water vapour at low pressure (1 × 10−7-1 × 10−5 mbar) and room temperature are reported. Water dissociation is observed at low pressure. This reactivity is assigned to the presence of a high density of coordinatively unsaturated cationic sites at the surface of the oxide film. The hydroxyl/hydroxide groups cannot be directly identify by their XPS binding energy, which is interpreted as resulting from the high BE positions of the oxide anions (O1s signal at 532.5-532.8 eV). However the XPS intensities give evidence of an uptake of oxygen accompanied by an increase of the surface coverage by Al3+ cations, and a decrease of the concentration in metallic Al at the alloy interface. A value of ∼2 for the oxygen to aluminium ions surface concentration ratio indicates the formation of an oxy-hydroxide (AlOxOHy with x + y ∼ 2) hydroxylation product. STM and LEED show the amorphisation and roughening of the oxide film. At P(H2O) = 1 × 10−7 mbar, only the surface of the oxide film is modified, with formation of nodules of ∼2 nm lateral size covering homogeneously the surface. STS shows that essentially the valence band is modified with an increase of the density of states at the band edge. With increasing pressure, hydroxylation is amplified, leading to an increased coverage of the alloy by oxy-hydroxide products and to the formation of larger nodules (∼7 nm) of amorphous oxy-hydroxide. Roughening and loss of the nanostructure indicate a propagation of the reaction that modifies the bulk structure of the oxide film. Amorphisation can be reverted to crystallization by annealing under UHV at 1025 K when the surface of the oxide film has been modified, but not when the bulk structure has been modified.  相似文献

The duplex oxide film potentiostatically formed on copper in concentrated alkaline media has been investigated by XRD, XPS, negative-going voltammetry and cathodic chronopotentiometry. The interfacial capacity was also measured using fast triangular voltage method under quasi-stationary condition. The obvious differences in the thickness, composition, passivation degree and capacitance behavior were observed between the duplex film formed in lower potential region (−0.13 to 0.18 V versus Hg|HgO electrode with the same solution as the electrolyte) and that formed in higher potential region (0.18-0.60 V). Cuprous oxides could be formed and exist stably in the inner layer in the both potential regions, and three cupric species, soluble ions and Cu(OH)2 and CuO, could be independently produced from the direct oxidation of metal copper, as indicated by three pairs of redox voltammetric peaks. One of the oxidation peaks appeared only after the scan was reversed from high potential and could be attributed to CuO formation upon the pre-accumulation of O2− ions within the film under high anodic potentials. A new mechanism for the film growth on the investigated time scale from 1 to 30 min is proposed, that is, the growth of the duplex film in the lower potential region takes place at the film|solution interface to form a thick Cu(OH)2 outer layer by field-assisted transfer of Cu2+ ions through the film to solution, whereas the film in the higher potential region grows depressingly and slowly at the metal|film interface to form Cu2O and less CuO by the transfer of O2− ions through the film to electrode.  相似文献

Copper nitride thin films were prepared on glass and silicon substrates by ablating a copper target at different pressure of nitrogen. The films were characterized in situ by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) and ex situ by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The nitrogen content in the samples, x = [N]/[Cu], changed between 0 and 0.33 for a corresponding variation in nitrogen pressure of 9 × 10−2 to 1.3 × 10−1 Torr. Using this methodology, it is possible to achieve sub-, over- and stoichiometric films by controlling the nitrogen pressure. The XPS results show that is possible to obtain copper nitride with x = 0.33 (Cu3N) and x = 0.25 (Cu4N) when the nitrogen pressure is 1.3 × 10−1 and 5 × 10−2 Torr, respectively. The lattice constants obtained from XRD results for copper nitride with x = 0.25 is of 3.850 Å and with x = 0.33 have values between 3.810 and 3.830 Å. The electrical properties of the films were studied as a function of the lattice constant. These results show that the electrical resistivity increases when the lattice parameter is decreasing. The electrical resistivity of copper nitride with x = 0.25 was smaller than samples with x = 0.33.  相似文献

In this work, formation of gold nanoparticles in radio frequency (RF) reactive magnetron co-sputtered Au-SiO2 thin films post annealed at different temperatures in Ar + H2 atmosphere has been investigated. Optical, surface topography, chemical state and crystalline properties of the prepared films were analyzed by using UV-visible spectrophotometry, atomic force microscopy (AFM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and X-ray diffractometry (XRD) techniques, respectively. Optical absorption spectrum of the Au-SiO2 thin films annealed at 800 °C showed one surface plasmon resonance (SPR) absorption peak located at 520 nm relating to gold nanoparticles. According to XPS analysis, it was found that the gold nanoparticles had a tendency to accumulate on surface of the heat-treated films in the metallic state. AFM images showed that the nanoparticles were uniformly distributed on the film surface with grain size of about 30 nm. Using XRD analysis average crystalline size of the Au particles was estimated to about 20 nm.  相似文献

Titanium dioxide nanoparticles in distilled H2O solvent were prepared by laser ablation. The experiments were performed irradiating a Ti target with a second harmonic (532 nm) output of a Nd:YAG laser varying the operative fluence between 1 and 10 J cm−2 and for an ablation time ranging from 10 to 30 min. Electron microscopy measurements have evidenced the predominant presence of nanoparticles with diameter smaller than 10 nm together with agglomerations of 100-200 nm whose content increases with the laser fluence. At low laser fluence the particles’ size distribution shows that more than 85% of the nanoparticles have a size smaller than 5 nm while at mid and high fluences the presence of 5-7 nm nanoparticles is predominant. XPS analysis has revealed the presence of different titanium suboxide phases with the prevalence of Ti-O bonds from TiO2 species. The optical bandgap values, determined by UV-vis absorption measurements, are compatible with the anatase phase.  相似文献

Nanostructured copper (II) oxide was formed on clean copper foil at room temperature using activated oxygen produced by RF discharge. CuO particles of approximately 10-20 nm were observed on the surface by Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM). The copper states and oxygen species of the model cupric oxide were studied by means of X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS). These oxide particles demonstrated abnormally high reactivity with carbon monoxide (CO) at temperatures below 100 °C. The XPS data showed that the interaction of CO with the nanostructured cupric oxide resulted in reduction of the CuO particles to Cu2O species. The reactivity of the nanostructured cupric oxide to CO was studied at 80 °C using XPS in step-by-step mode. The initial reactivity was estimated to be 5 × 10−5 and was steadily reduced down to 5 × 10−9 as the exposure was increased. O1s spectral analysis allowed us to propose that the high initial reactivity was caused by the presence of non-lattice oxygen states on the surface of the nanostructured CuO. We established that reoxidation of the partially reduced nanostructured cupric oxide by molecular oxygen O2 restored the highly reactive oxygen form on the surface. These results allowed us to propose that the nanostructured cupric oxide could be used for low temperature catalytic CO oxidation. Some hypotheses concerning the nature of the non-lattice oxygen species with high reactivity are also discussed.  相似文献

Nanoparticles of Zn1−xCuxS with various dopant contents (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.15) were prepared in water by refluxing for 90 min at about 95 °C. Powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns of the nanoparticles demonstrate that loading of Cu2+ ions does not change the crystal structure of ZnS. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images demonstrate that size of the nanoparticles decreases with increasing Cu2+ ions. UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectra (DRS) of the nanoparticles show significant absorption in visible light region. Adsorption capacity of the nanoparticles for methylene blue (MB) increases with mole fraction of copper ions. Photocatalytic activity of the nanoparticles toward photodegradation of MB was evaluated under visible light irradiation. The results indicate that Zn0.85Cu0.15S nanoparticles exhibit highest photocatalytic activity among the prepared samples. Moreover, effects of refluxing time applied for preparation of the nanoparticles and calcination temperature were investigated.  相似文献

Fluorine-doped tin oxide films (SnO2:F, FTO) were deposited by atmosphere pressure chemical vapor deposition (APCVD) on Na-Ca-Si glass coated with a diffusion barrier layer of SiOxCy. The effects of post-heating time at 700 °C on the structural and electrical properties of SnO2:F films were investigated. The results showed that SnO2:F films were polycrystalline with tetragonal SnO2 structure, SnO phase was present in SnO2 film, and abnormal grain growth was observed. The element distribution in the film depth was measured with X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and revealed that when the heating time increased from 202 s to 262 s, the oxygen content in the surface increased from 78.63% to 83.38%. The resistivity increased from 3.13 × 10−4 for as-deposited films to 4.73 × 10−4 Ω cm when post-heated for 262 s. Hall mobility is limited by the ionized impurity scattering rather than the grain boundary scattering.  相似文献

Sn doped In2O3 films are deposited by rf-magnetron sputtering at 300 °C under Ar, Ar + O2 and Ar + H2 gas ambients. For the film prepared under argon ambient, electrical resistivity 6.5 × 10−4 Ω cm and 95% optical transmission in the visible region have been achieved optimizing the power and chamber pressure during the film deposition. X-ray diffraction spectra of the ITO film reveal (2 2 2) and (4 0 0) crystallographic planes of In2O3. With the introduction of 1.33% oxygen in argon, (2 2 2) peak of In2O3 decreases and resistivity increases for the deposited film. With further increase of oxygen in the sputtering gas mixture crystallinity in the film deteriorates and both the peaks disappeared. On the other hand, when 1.33% hydrogen is mixed with argon, the resistivity of the deposited film decreases to 5.5 × 10−4 Ω cm and the crystallinity remains almost unchanged. In case of reactive sputtering, the deposition rate is lower compared to that in case of non-reactive sputtering. HRTEM and first Fourier patterns show the highly crystalline structure of the samples deposited under Ar and Ar + H2 ambients. Crystallinity of the film becomes lower with the introduction of oxygen in argon but refractive index increases from 1.86 to 1.9. The surface morphology of the ITO films have been studied by high resolution scanning electron microscopy.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to report some experimental results with HfSiO films formed on silicon substrates by electron beam evaporation (EB-PVD) and annealed at different temperatures. The images of atomic force microscope (AFM) indicated that HfSiO film annealed at 900 °C was still amorphous, with a surface roughness of 0.173 nm. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis revealed that the chemical composition of the film was (HfO2)3(SiO2) and Hf-Si-O bonds existed in the annealed film. Electrical measurements showed that the equivalent oxide thickness (EOT) was 4 nm, the dielectric constant was around 6, the breakdown voltage was 10 MV/cm, the fixed charge density was −1.2 × 1012 cm−2, and the leakage current was 0.4 μA/cm2 at the gate bias of 2 V for 6 nm HfSiO film. The annealing after deposition effectively reduced trapping density and the leakage current, and eliminated hysteresis in the C-V curves. Annealing also induced SiO2 growth at the interface.  相似文献

Interface properties of BCN/GaN metal-insulator-semiconductor (MIS) structures are investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and capacitance versus voltage (C-V) characteristics measurements. The BCN/GaN samples are fabricated by in situ process consisting of plasma treatment and deposition of BCN film in the plasma-assisted chemical vapor deposition (PACVD) apparatus. XPS measurement shows that the oxide formation at the BCN/GaN interface is suppressed by nitrogen (N2) and hydrogen (H2) plasma treatment. The interface state density is estimated from C-V characteristics measured at 1 MHz using Terman method. The minimum interface state density appears from 0.2 to 0.7 eV below the conduction band edge of GaN. The minimum value of the interface state density is estimated to be 3.0 × 1010 eV−1 cm−2 for the BCN/GaN structure with mixed N2 and H2 plasma treatment for 25 min. Even after annealing at 430 °C for 10 min, the interface state density as low as 6.0 × 1010 eV−1 cm−2 is maintained.  相似文献

Silver nanorods with average diameters of 120-230 nm and aspect ratio of 1.7-5.0 were deposited on the surface of TiO2 films by photoelectrochemical reduction of Ag+ to Ag under UV light. The composite films prepared on soda-lime glass substrates were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The results show that the TiO2 film after UV irradiation in AgNO3 solution is composed of anatase phase TiO2 and metallic silver with face centered cubic structure. Other compounds cannot be found in the final films. The maximum deposition content of silver particles on the surface of TiO2 film was obtained with the AgNO3 concentration of 0.1 M. The kinetic growth rates of silver particles can be controlled by photocatalytic activity of TiO2 films. The studies suggest that the growth rates of silver particles increase with the enhancement of photocatalytic activity of TiO2 films. The maximum growth rate of silver particles loaded on TiO2 films can be up to 0.353 nm min−1 among samples 1#, 2# and 3#, while the corresponding apparent rate constant of TiO2 is 1.751 × 10−3 min−1.  相似文献

The general equation Tove = L cos  θ ln(Rexp/R0 + 1) for the thickness measurement of thin oxide films by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) was applied to a HfO2/SiO2/Si(1 0 0) as a thin hetero-oxide film system with an interfacial oxide layer. The contribution of the thick interfacial SiO2 layer to the thickness of the HfO2 overlayer was counterbalanced by multiplying the ratio between the intensity of Si4+ from a thick SiO2 film and that of Si0 from a Si(1 0 0) substrate to the intensity of Si4+ from the HfO2/SiO2/Si(1 0 0) film. With this approximation, the thickness levels of the HfO2 overlayers showed a small standard deviation of 0.03 nm in a series of HfO2 (2 nm)/SiO2 (2-6 nm)/Si(1 0 0) films. Mutual calibration with XPS and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) was used to verify the thickness of HfO2 overlayers in a series of HfO2 (1-4 nm)/SiO2 (3 nm)/Si(1 0 0) films. From the linear relation between the thickness values derived from XPS and TEM, the effective attenuation length of the photoelectrons and the thickness of the HfO2 overlayer could be determined.  相似文献

In this paper, TiO2:Sm3+ (0.75 mol%) nanoparticles doped with different amounts of Br were prepared by an improved sol-gel method and were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), VG ESCALAB MKIIX-ray photoelectron spectrometer (XPS) and ultraviolet-visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV-vis DRS). Their photoluminescence (PL) properties were investigated at room temperature. The emissions of 4G5/2-6HJ (J=5/2, 7/2, 9/2) transitions of Sm3+ ions were observed under the excitation wavelength at 350 nm and the emission intensity depended strongly on the doping amount of Br. TiO2:Sm3+ (0.75 mol%) nanoparticles doped with 1 mol% of Br calcined at 700 °C exhibit highest intensity of luminescence, which is nearly three times than the undoped one. The mechanism of photoluminescence in the co-doped system was discussed.  相似文献

Uniform amorphous tungsten cone arrays in high density were fabricated by Ar+ reduction etching of WO3 nanowire film. The etching process was performed in the analysis chamber of an X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) system. SEM and TEM results revealed that the tip radius of the etched cones was 10 nm, and the cones were amorphous with a high aspect ratio of over 250. XPS analysis proved the cones to be metallic tungsten. In the aspect of field-emission property, the tungsten cone arrays had a lower turn-on field of 3 MV m−1 compared with 5 MV m−1 of the as-grown original WO3 nanowire film.  相似文献

High quality transparent conductive ZnO thin films were deposited on quartz glass substrates using pulsed laser deposition (PLD). We varied the growth conditions such as the substrate temperature and oxygen pressure. X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectrometer (XPS), and atomic force microscopy (AFM) measurements were done on the samples. All films show n-type conduction, the best transparent conductive oxide (TCO) performance (Al-doped ZnO = 1.33 × 10−4 Ω cm, Ga-doped ZnO = 8.12 × 10−5 Ω cm) was obtained on the ZnO film prepared at pO2 = 5 mTorr and Ts = 300 °C.  相似文献

With 800-nm, 120-fs laser pulses, optical nonlinearity has been studied in a series of thin films containing poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA), filled with surfactant acetylacetone (Acac) capped TiO2 nanoparticles, which were synthesized by a simple in situ sol-gel/polymerization process, assisted by spin coating and multi-step baking. The resulting nanohybrid thin films have highly optical transparency and demonstrate a unique nonlinear optical (NLO) response. The highest nonlinear refractive index (n2) is observed up to 6.55 × 10−2 cm2 GW−1 in the nanohybrid thin film of 60 wt% Ti(OBu)4 in PMMA, with a negligible two-photon absorption (TPA), as confirmed by the Z-scan technique. The titanium precursor loading combined with the nature of the capping molecules are used to influence the ability of nanoparticles to nonlinear optical response. Indeed, the ligands at the nanoparticles’ surface can not only control the extent of the interaction between the organic molecules and the embedded nanoparticles but also influence the optical nonlinearities of nanoparticles.  相似文献
