理论研究了受激布里渊散射过程中功率限幅响应特性.采用高斯型入射脉冲,数值模拟了抽运参数(抽运峰值功率密度、抽运脉冲宽度),介质参数(增益系数、声子寿命)和结构参数(聚焦透镜焦距、介质池长)等物理参数影响限幅输出波形中剩余峰的特性规律.对如何控制剩余峰进行了理论分析.研究表明,声子寿命较小、增益系数大的布里渊介质光限幅响应较好,声子寿命较大、增益系数小的布里渊介质光限幅响应较差;无法单纯通过控制布里渊介质参数来完全消除剩余峰.实验上采用染料片吸收剩余峰,获得接近平顶的限幅输出波形.  相似文献

受激布里渊散射(SBS)具有脉冲压缩的特性,受激布里渊散射的脉冲宽度随着抽运能量的增大而变小,在水中可以达到几百皮秒的量级.本文在实验上观察到一种受激布里渊散射的脉冲宽度随抽运能量增大而变大的现象,这里称之为反常压缩.SBS的脉冲反常压缩和脉冲压缩与抽运光的强弱会聚情况有关.利用数值模拟,模拟了强弱会聚情况下抽运光在水中的传输规律,强弱会聚情况的抽运光对受激布里渊散射形成的有效增益长度不同:抽运光强会聚时有效增益长度短,形成SBS脉冲宽度的反常压缩;弱会聚时有效增益长度长,也就是正常的SBS脉冲压缩.  相似文献

在传统独立双池结构的受激布里渊相位共轭镜系统中,引入修整放大池,采用主放大池与修整放大池相结合的双布里渊放大池放大控制脉冲波形.主放大池控制脉冲的整体波形,而修整放大池对脉冲波形,特别是脉冲前沿进行微调.修整放大池池长对双布里渊放大池放大控制脉冲波形的影响进行了理论研究和实验验证,得到了不同情况下脉冲波形随双池间距的变化规律.研究表明修整放大池池长决定放大光前沿的放大效率,是控制脉冲波形的重要参量.  相似文献

 提出了时间上串行的多路激光脉冲通过受激布里渊散射(SBS)池进行组束的方法,并对其进行了数值模拟研究。利用6束每束能量为45J的KrF激光进行组束, 可获得能量为141.89J,脉宽为670ps的Stokes输出光。根据模拟结果设计出了时间上串行的SBS激光组束的两个方案, 对其进行了讨论。数值模拟还发现在介质的增益系数更大、声子寿命更短的情况下,输出激光脉冲的脉宽可以压缩得更窄。  相似文献

 利用KrF激光和SF6介质从理论和实验上研究了声子寿命和增益系数等介质参数对SBS脉宽压缩比和能量反射率的影响。理论上采用一维瞬态模型对SBS过程进行数值模拟,考虑了瞬态过程、介质吸收以及泵浦耗空的影响,计算了SBS介质不同参数对脉冲压缩影响的规律。实验表明,在实验参数的变化范围内声子寿命越短、增益系数越小,越有利于脉宽压缩。在0.68MPa下,脉宽压缩比达到8。数值模拟了声子寿命和介质增益系数单独变化时对SBS过程影响的规律,发现在声子寿命和增益系数同时变化时,SBS对泵浦脉冲的压缩有最佳点。  相似文献

为提高瞬态布里渊放大器的工作性能,利用包含噪声的瞬态布里渊放大理论模型数值模拟了放大器的信噪比、灵敏度、能量转换效率及信号放大率随指数增益系数G的变化规律,获得了放大器的最佳工作点Gopt.采用倍频Nd:YAG脉冲激光器,以CS2和FC-72为非线性介质进行了实验验证.结果表明,抽运光脉冲相对于信号光脉冲延迟脉冲宽度的一半进入放大器时,Gopt可设在介质受激布里渊散射阈值增益Gth之上.对于共线型布里渊放大结构,Gopt为Gth的1.1—1.3倍;对于非共线型结构,Gopt可超过Gth1.3倍,实现近饱和放大.  相似文献

 采用两级布里渊结构压缩8ns的Nd:YAG激光,研究了基频光和倍频光的受激布里渊散射(SBS)压缩过程。实验中采用四氯化碳作为SBS介质,经第一级双池SBS压缩后,获得了1.5ns左右的Stokes 脉冲;第二级采用单池SBS压缩,分别使用基频光和倍频光作为泵浦光,获得了最短为60ps 的Stokes脉冲。实验证明,在一定条件下,利用SBS压缩脉宽可以获得比介质的声子寿命更短的脉冲。  相似文献

从混合介质的折射率、黏度、密度和声速等物理量随混合比的变化关系入手,推导出了混合介质的布里渊线宽、声子寿命和增益系数等受激布里渊散射(SBS)参数随混合比的变化关系.数值模拟了HT-70/FC-72混合介质的布里渊线宽、声子寿命和增益系数随FC-72体积分数的变化关系,并测定了该混合介质的吸收系数和光学击穿阈值随FC-72体积分数的变化关系.结果表明,HT-70/FC-72混合介质的SBS参数随FC-72体积分数单调变化,不出现极值现象.混合介质的选用不仅增加了SBS介质的种类,而且能够满足SBS系统对不 关键词: 受激布里渊散射 混合介质 SBS参数  相似文献

受激布里渊散射转换效率及相位共轭保真度的稳定性与泵浦脉冲的前沿上升时间有关,对前沿上升时间与介质声学声子寿命接近的泵浦脉冲,在泵浦能量超过受激布里渊散射阈值较多时,会造成严重的相位共轭保真度不稳定。本文针对上升前沿时间为2ns的泵浦脉冲及声学声子寿命的1ns和CCl4介质,在泵浦脉冲前沿根部引入缓慢上升的小信号后,采用振放双池受激布里渊散射相位共轭镜,在泵浦激光能量达到500倍受激布里渊散射阈值时  相似文献

Buffer performance of a 2.5 Gb/s bit stream with non-return-to-zero format is investigated based on acoustic excitation by stimulated Brillouin scattering in an As2Se3 fiber. The storage process and the retrieval process of the bit stream are separately controlled by a “Write” pulse and a “Read” pulse. The research results show that the output signal-to-noise ratio and the readout efficiency of the buffer are agreeable, and the pulse distortion is low, if both the “Write” and the “Read” pulses are with high enough peak power and spectrum wider than that of the signal pulse. Buffering of a consecutive 10-bit-long 2.5 Gb/s NRZ bit stream has also been demonstrated in the As2Se3 fiber with length of only 0.5 m. The storage of a long bit stream, such as the data packet containing about 1000 bits in the telecommunications, is limited by the high loss in the As2Se3 fiber. However, the development of the special optical fiber with high Brillouin gain coefficient, long acoustic lifetime and low loss can make this technology applicable for all-optical buffering in high speed optical networks.  相似文献

We report the experimental demonstration of storing optical information as a mechanical excitation in a silica optomechanical resonator. We use writing and readout laser pulses tuned to one mechanical frequency below an optical cavity resonance to control the coupling between the mechanical displacement and the optical field at the cavity resonance. The writing pulse maps a signal pulse at the cavity resonance to a mechanical excitation. The readout pulse later converts the mechanical excitation back to an optical pulse. The storage lifetime is determined by the relatively long damping time of the mechanical excitation.  相似文献

The water temperature has a strong effect on the kinematic viscosity, which is inversely proportional to the phonon lifetime and the gain coefficient. The higher the temperature is, the smaller the kinematic viscosity is, and the larger the phonon lifetime is. At a low pump power and a short focal length, we can derive a single-peak stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) pulse. The duration of this single-peak SBS pulse depends mainly on the phonon lifetime of water. With the increase of the water temperature, the duration of such a single-peak SBS pulse will become longer, and the SBS energy will become higher for the gain coefficient, which is related to the phonon lifetime. Therefore, varying the medium temperature can lead to the changes of SBS pulse duration and SBS energy.  相似文献

We demonstrate a single optical timing module that can provide both tunable delay and advancement with low distortion using a reconfigurable gain medium based on stimulated Brillouin scattering. Dual-stage intensity modulation method is used to achieve optimized gain profiles for both slow- and fast-light operation. Using 6.5 ns Gaussian pulses, we demonstrate a continuous temporal adjustment from a fractional advancement of 0.31 to a fractional delay of 0.82, giving more than a full pulse width of total tunability.  相似文献

近年来,随着分布式光纤传感技术在各大基础设施健康监测领域的广泛应用,人们对能够实现毫米量级精准定位和监测技术的需求日益增长.本文提出了一种基于宽线宽混沌激光的高分辨率分布式光纤测温技术.实验通过改变光反馈混沌源的偏振匹配态和反馈强度等外部参数,产生了–3 dB线宽约为7.5 GHz的宽线宽混沌激光,并在300 m传感光纤实现了空间分辨率为7.05 mm的分布式温度测量.同时,为了抑制光源线宽增加造成的布里渊增益谱恶化,在泵浦路中引入了时间门控技术,其中经脉冲调制后的泵浦光峰值功率提高了约9.5 dB,同时脉冲调制使混沌互相关锁定于脉冲持续时间内,从而布里渊增益谱的信号背景噪声比由约2.28 dB提升为4.55 dB,最终实现了空间分辨率为3.12 mm的分布式温度测量.  相似文献

Quadrature squeezed light generation with optical pulses in a fiber loop mirror is analyzed through computer simulation. The effect of guided acoustic wave Brillouin scattering (GAWBS) in optical fibers as well as those of nonlinearities and chromatic dispersions are considered for the first time. The relation between the GAWBS noise and the optical pulse width is discussed in detail. It is found that the nearly fundamental soliton pulse is optimum to get the largest squeezing even if the GAWBS noise is effective. The broadened pulses suffer larger degradation of squeezing due to this noise.  相似文献

It was numerically demonstrated that a 2-ns-long Gaussian shaped and a 2-ns-long rectangular shaped data-pulse are fully retrieved as original via stimulated Brillouin scattering light storage process in an optical fiber. Zero-broadening without distortion data-pulse light storage is realized. In our study, for a given data-pulse, there are two conditions for it is fully retrieved: (1) the spectrum of the control-pulse is engineered so that the spectral width of the pulses is changed, making possible to match at best the data-pulse spectrum. (2) control-pulse temporal distribution profile must be suitable for the data-pulse. We also proved that the readout efficiency of completely retrieved data-pulse is the biggest. Because the Gaussian shaped data-pulse relative optical spectral bandwidth is the narrowest, it is easier to be retrieved.  相似文献

By adopting noise initiation model of stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS), the influence of phonon lifetime and gain coefficient of medium on power limiting characteristic is numerically investigated. Through using actual parameters of three media, CCl4, acetone, and CS2, the waveforms of transmitted pulses are simulated. The result shows that different media have little effect on the front peak of waveform,while have an obvious effect on the height of power limiting platform. When the medium which has short phonon lifetime and small gain coefficient is used, the height of power limiting platform is comparatively high. In experiment, by focusing 1064-nm, 8-ns, 18-mJ pulses into these three media, the waveforms of transmitted pulses are obtained. The experimental results are in good agreement with conclusions of theoretical simulations.  相似文献
