During the last 4 years, empirical line lists for methane at room temperature and at 80 K were constructed from spectra recorded by (i) differential absorption spectroscopy (DAS) in the high energy part of the tetradecad (5852?6195 cm?1) and in the icosad (6717–7589 cm?1) and (ii) high sensitivity CW-Cavity Ring Down Spectroscopy (CRDS) in the 1.58 μm and 1.28 μm transparency windows (6165–6750 cm?1 and 7541–7919 cm?1, respectively). We have recently constructed the global line lists for methane in “natural” isotopic abundance, covering the spectral region from 5854 to 7919 cm?1 (Campargue A, Wang L, Kassi S, Mondelain D, Bézard B, Lellouch E, et al., An empirical line list for methane in the 1.26–1.71 μm region for planetary investigations (T=80–300 K). Application to Titan, Icarus 219 (2012) 110–128). These WKMC (Wang, Kassi, Mondelain, Campargue) empirical lists include about 43,000 and 46,420 lines at 80±3 K and 296±3 K, respectively. The “two temperature method” provided lower state energy values, Eemp, for about 24,000 transitions allowing us to account satisfactorily for the temperature dependence of the methane absorption over the considered region. The obtained lists have been already successfully applied in a large range of temperature conditions existing on Titan, Uranus, Pluto, Saturn and Jupiter.In the present contribution, we provide some improvements to our lists by using literature data to extend the set of lower state energy values and by correcting the distortion of the high Eemp values (J>10) due to the temperature gradient existing in the cryogenic cell used for the recordings. The proposed refinements are found to have an overall limited impact but they may be significant in some spectral intervals below 6500 cm?1.The new version of our lists at 80 K and 296 K is provided as Supplementary Material: the WKMC@80K+ and WKMC@296K lists are adapted for planetary and atmospheric applications, respectively. The WKMC@80K+ list is made applicable over a wider range of temperatures and shows satisfactory extrapolation capabilities up to room temperature. It was obtained by transferring to the 80 K list the 27,580 single lines present only in the 296 K list, with corresponding lower state energy values chosen to make them below the detectivity limit at 80 K.In the discussion, the different line lists and databases available for methane in the near infrared are compared and some suggestions are given.  相似文献

Speech transmission index (STI) is an objective measure of the acoustic properties of office environments and is used to specify norms for acceptable acoustic work conditions. Yet, the tasks used to evaluate the effects of varying STIs on work performance have often been focusing on memory (as memory of visually presented words) and reading tasks and may not give a complete view of the severity even of low STI values (i.e., when speech intelligibility is low). Against this background, we used a more typical office-work task in the present study. The participants were asked to write short essays (5 min per essay) in 5 different STI conditions (0.08; 0.23; 0.34; 0.50; and 0.71). Writing fluency dropped drastically and the number of pauses longer than 5 s increased at STI values above 0.23. This study shows that realistic work-related performance drops even at low STI values and has implications for how to evaluate acoustic conditions in school and office environments.  相似文献

Using a cryogenic cell and a series of Distributed Feed Back (DFB) diode lasers, new high resolution spectra of methane have been recorded at 80 K and room temperature by differential absorption spectroscopy (DAS) between 6717 and 7589 cm?1 (1.49–1.32 μm). The investigated spectral region corresponds to the very congested icosad, which is not tractable by theory. Empirical lists of 19,940 and 24,001 lines were constructed from the 80 K and room temperature spectrum, respectively. The room temperature list adds about 8500 features to the empirical list of 15,375 lines at 296 K adopted in the HITRAN database from the original work of L. Brown (Brown, L. Empirical line parameters of methane from 1.1 to 2.1 μm. JQSRT 2005;96:251–70). A number of relatively strong CH4 lines located near strong water lines were found missing in the HITRAN line list. The improved sensitivity allowed adding more than 7000 lines to our previous list of about 12,000 transitions at 80 K (Campargue A, Wang L, Kassi S, Ma?át M, Votava O. Temperature dependence of the absorption spectrum of CH4 by high resolution spectroscopy at 81 K: (II) The Icosad region (1.49–1.30 μm). JQSRT 2010;111:1141–51). In order to facilitate identification of the transitions of the different methane isotopologues present in “natural” isotopic abundance, spectra of highly enriched CH3D and 13CH4 samples were recorded with the same experimental setup, both at room temperature and at 80 K.From the variation of the line strengths between 80 K and 294 K, the low energy values of about 12,000 transitions were determined. They allow accounting for the temperature dependence of 84 and 93% of the methane absorbance in the region, at room temperature and 80 K, respectively. As a result, we provide as supplementary material two complete line lists at 80 K and 294 K, including CH3D and 13CH4 identification and lower state energy values.  相似文献

Near-infrared photoluminescence (PL) and thermally stimulated current (TSC) spectra of Cu3Ga5Se9 layered crystals grown by Bridgman method have been studied in the photon energy region of 1.35–1.46 eV and the temperature range of 15–115 K (PL) and 10–170 K (TSC). An infrared PL band centered at 1.42 eV was revealed at T = 15 K. Radiative transitions from shallow donor level placed at 20 meV to moderately deep acceptor level at 310 meV were suggested to be the reason of the observed PL band. TSC curve of Cu3Ga5Se9 crystal exhibited one broad peak at nearly 88 K. The thermal activation energy of traps was found to be 22 meV. An energy level diagram demonstrating the transitions in the crystal band gap was plotted taking account of results of PL and TSC experiments conducted below room temperature.  相似文献

Intelligibility of average talkers in typical listening environments   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Intelligibility of conversationally produced speech for normal hearing listeners was studied for three male and three female talkers. Four typical listening environments were used. These simulated a quiet living room, a classroom, and social events in two settings with different reverberation characteristics. For each talker, overall intelligibility and intelligibility for vowels, consonant voicing, consonant continuance, and consonant place were quantified using the speech pattern contrast (SPAC) test. Results indicated that significant intelligibility differences are observed among normal talkers even in listening environments that permit essentially full intelligibility for everyday conversations. On the whole, talkers maintained their relative intelligibility across the four environments, although there was one exception which suggested that some voices may be particularly susceptible to degradation due to reverberation. Consonant place was the most poorly perceived feature, followed by continuance, voicing, and vowel intelligibility. However, there were numerous significant interactions between talkers and speech features, indicating that a talker of average overall intelligibility may produce certain speech features with intelligibility that is considerably higher or lower than average. Neither long-term rms speech spectrum nor articulation rate was found to be an adequate single criterion for selecting a talker of average intelligibility. Ultimately, an average talker was chosen on the basis of four speech contrasts: initial consonant place, and final consonant place, voicing, and continuance.  相似文献

The appearance of intense terahertz sources such as quantum cascade laser and free electron laser opens up new opportunities for 2D imaging. Though microbolometer and pyroelectric arrays are promising recorders, they are of small size and cannot be used when wide-field imaging in the longwave region is required. We applied for terahertz imaging 3″ × 3″ and 6″ × 6″ Macken Instruments Inc. “thermal image plates”, a set of thermal sensitive phosphor screens operating in a room temperature environment. The Novosibirsk free electron laser was used as a source of radiation. We have found that the response of thermal image plate is linear until the relative quenching is less than 60% of the initial luminescence intensity. The response curve follows the Seitz–Mott law. The threshold sensitivity was found to be 100 mW/cm2 at 1.5 THz and 40 mW/cm2 at 2.3 THz. Interferograms, holograms, and terahertz beam spatial distributions recorded in the spectral range of 1.2–2.5 THz are given as examples.  相似文献

By deposition of metallic vanadium on FTO substrate in Argon atmosphere at room temperature, the sample was then annealed in furnace for 2 h at the temperature of 410 °C in air ambient. (1 1 0) -orientated vanadium dioxide films were prepared on the FTO surface. A maximum transmittance of ∼40% happened at 900–1250 nm region at room temperature. The change of optical transmittance at this region was ∼25% between semiconducting and metallic states. In particular, vanadium dioxide thin films on FTO exhibit semiconductor–metal phase transition at ∼51 °C, the width of the hysteresis loop is ∼8 °C.  相似文献

LiCaAlF6 (LiCAF) crystals doped with two different ions (europium and lead) have been investigated as potential new dosimetric materials. The stability of thermally stimulated luminescence (TSL) glow peaks in LiCAF:Eu was evaluated by means of the initial rise technique. The decay times at room temperature of the traps related to the dosimetric glow peaks were found to range between 40 and 2 × 104 years confirming the good dosimetric characteristics of this crystal. The glow curve of LiCAF:Pb is dominated by a peak at approximately 300 °C emitting in the UV region (3P0,11S0 transition of Pb2+) superimposed to a very broad structure at lower temperature (20–200 °C) featuring recombination at an intrinsic defect centre. The anomalous behavior of the low temperature structure during thermal cleaning procedures prevented any reliable numerical analysis of the TSL glow peak at 300 °C.  相似文献

Zn1−xCrxTe (x = 0.05, 0.15) films were grown on GaAs(1 0 0) substrate by thermal evaporation method. X-ray diffraction analysis showed the presence of ZnCrTe phase without any secondary phase. The surface was analyzed by high resolution magnetic force microscope and profile measurements showed orientation of magnetic domains in the range of 0.5–2 nm with increase of Cr content. Magnetic moment–magnetic field measurements showed a characteristic hysteresis loop even at room temperature. The Curie temperature was estimated to be greater than 300 K. From the electron spin resonance spectra, the valence state of Cr in ZnTe was found to be +2 with d2 electronic configuration. Hall effect study was done at room temperature and the result showed the presence of p-type charge carriers and hole concentration was found to increase from 5.95 × 1012 to 6.7 × 1012 m−3 when Cr content increases. We deduce the origin of ferromagnetic behavior based on the observed experimental results.  相似文献

Single crystals of the layered compound TlInS2 were grown by direct synthesis of their constituents. The spectral and optical parameters have been determined using spectrophotometric measurements of transmittance and reflectance in the wavelength range 200–2500 nm. Absorption spectra of thin layers of TlInS2 crystals are used to study the energy gap and the interband transitions of the compound in the energy region 2–2.4 eV. The dispersion curve of the refractive index shows an anomalous dispersion in the absorption region and a normal one in the transmitted region. The direct and indirect band gaps were determined to be 2.34 and 2.258 eV, respectively. Photoconductivity measurements at room temperature resolve the structure that can be identified with the optical transition.  相似文献

New line lists for isotopically substituted water are presented. Most line positions were calculated from experimentally determined energy levels, while all line intensities were computed using an ab initio dipole moment surface. Transitions for which experimental energy levels are unavailable use calculated line positions. These line lists cover the range 0.05–20 000 cm?1 and are significantly more complete and potentially more accurate than the line lists available via standard databases. All lines with intensities (scaled by isotopologue abundance) greater than 10?29 cm/molecule at 296 K are included, augmented by weaker lines originating from pure rotational transitions. The final line lists contain 39 918 lines for H218O and 27 546 for H217O and are presented in standard HITRAN format. The number of experimentally determined H218O and H217O line positions is, respectively, 32 970 (83% of the total) and 17 073 (62%) and in both cases the average estimated uncertainty is 2×10?4 cm?1. The number of ab initio line intensities with an estimated uncertainty of 1% is 16 621 (42%) for H218O and 13 159 (48%) for H217O.  相似文献

The LM–OSL signal of quartz, while measured at room temperature, is dominated by an intermediate, broad and intense OSL component, so that its contribution and general characteristics are derived very accurately. Through a series of dose–response, bleaching and thermal decay at room temperature experiments, in conjunction with curve fitting studies, a component resolved analysis is carried out studying the correlation between this specific component, termed as LM–OSL component C2 and the 110 °C TL glow peak in quartz. The dose–response of these two luminescence components behaves exactly similar being linear at low doses and saturating at almost 100 Gy. Both signals decay exponentially under illumination, providing identical optical detrapping cross-section values. Residual of both luminescence signals after thermal decay at room temperature follows an exponential law, yielding similar mean half-lives. All previous luminescence features provide strong evidence for the electron trap being the same for both the 110 °C TL trap and the LM–OSL component C2. The results of the present work are very promising and clearly support the possibility of extrapolating the TL pre-dose methodology to the OSL pre-dose effect using only the LM–OSL component C2.  相似文献

The stability of the recently discovered CO-induced and self-organized CuPt surface alloy was explored at near ambient pressures of O2 (200 mbar) at room temperature, in a CO + H2 mix (Ptot = 220 mbar, 4% CO) from room temperature to 573 K, as well as in a CO + H2O mix (Ptot = 17 mbar, 50% CO) from room temperature to 673 K. No indications of substantial changes in surface structure were observed under the latter conditions compared to CO alone whereas the O2 oxidation resulted in CO removal and the build-up of an ultrathin CuOx-film. However, the oxidized CO/CuPt surface alloy could be regenerated by reducing the CuOx in 100 mbar CO for 10 min at room temperature. The results show, amongst others, the stability of the CuPt surface alloy in various environments containing CO and how a novel coinage/Pt-group bimetallic surface alloy catalyst induced by CO adsorption can be reactivated before use in applications such as electrochemistry at ambient temperatures.  相似文献

Unattended background speech is a known source of cognitive and subjective distraction in open-plan offices. This study investigated whether the deleterious effects of background speech can be affected by room acoustic design that decreases speech intelligibility, as measured by the Speech Transmission Index (STI). The experiment was conducted in an open-plan office laboratory (84 m2) in which four acoustic conditions were physically built. Three conditions contained background speech. A quiet condition was included for comparison. The speech conditions differed in terms of the degree of absorption, screen height, desk isolation, and the level of masking sound. The speech sounds simulated an environment where phone conversations are heard from different locations varying in distance. Ninety-eight volunteers were tested. The presence of background speech had detrimental effects on the subjective perceptions of noise effects and on cognitive performance in short-term memory and working memory tasks. These effects were not attenuated nor amplified within a three-hour working period. The reduction of the STI by room acoustic means decreased subjective disturbance, whereas the effects on cognitive performance were somewhat smaller than expected. The effects of room acoustic design on subjective distraction were stronger among noise-sensitive subjects, suggesting that they benefited more from acoustic improvements than non-sensitive subjects. The results imply that reducing the STI is beneficial for performance and acoustic satisfaction especially regarding speech coming from more distant desks. However, acoustic design does not sufficiently decrease the distraction caused by speech from adjacent desks.  相似文献

AgI–anatase TiO2 nanoparticle composites, (x)AgI–(1 ? x)anatase, with different porosities were fabricated over a wide range of 0–1 of AgI content. The electrical conductivity was measured at room temperature as function of AgI content (x) and porosity (p). The conductivity varies considerably with both x and p. In the vicinity of x = 0.4 and p = 0.31, the conductivity attains a maximum (2.5 × 10? 3 S/cm). The conductivity is enhanced by three orders of magnitude in comparison with that of pristine AgI. The mechanism of the observed conductivity enhancement is discussed in the light of the scanning electron microscope images and X-ray diffraction patterns of the different (x)AgI–(1 ? x)anatase composites.  相似文献

In this paper, we studied the photoluminescence (PL), the morphological, electrical and optical properties of pure and copper-doped cadmium oxide. CdO films were grown by a facile sol–gel spin coating process at 1200 rpm, and doped with copper at 2 and 3%. A (1 1 1)-oriented cubic structure with a lattice parameter of a=4.69 Å was confirmed by X-ray diffraction. Copper was shown to improve the optical transmittance in the short wavelength range of the visible spectrum. The optical band gap of CdO ranged between 2.49 and 2.62 eV as a result of Cu content. At room temperature, resistance fell drastically with Cu doping levels. AFM analysis of samples exhibited nano-mounts and nanowires. Finally, PL results showed a strong blue–violet emission peak at 2.80 eV.  相似文献

Electroluminescence of LED heterostructures with active layer made of InAsSb films grown on InAs substrates was studied in the temperature range T = 4.2–300 K. At low temperatures (T = 4.2–100 K), stimulated emission was observed with an optical cavity formed normal to the growth plane. The emission became spontaneous at higher temperatures due to the resonant “switch-on” of the CHHS Auger recombination process in which the energy of a recombining electron-hole pair is transferred to a hole transitioning to the spin-orbit-splitted band. The spontaneous character of emission continued up to room temperature because of the influence of other Auger processes. The results obtained suggest that InAsSb-based LED heterostructures are promising for the fabrication of vertically-emitting mid-infrared lasers.  相似文献

Titanium oxide films grown on Mo(100) have been investigated by low-energy electron diffraction (LEED) and soft X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (PES). The film was grown by Ti deposition on Mo(100) and subsequent oxidation of the film by 12 L of O2 exposure at room temperature. As the film was annealed at 700–1000 °C, the film in which the Ti atoms were in a Ti3+ oxidation state was formed. As the film was annealed at 1100–1500 °C, the oxidation state of Ti in the film was converted to Ti2+. The valence electronic structure of the film was measured under the condition that the emission from the Mo substrate was minimized due to a Cooper minimum of the Mo 4 d photoionization cross sections (hν = 100 eV). It was found that the Ti 3 d band in normal-emission spectra was increased in intensity when the film was annealed at 1100–1500 °C. As the film was annealed at 1300 °C for 10 s and 20 s, the film-covered Mo(100) gave (2 × 2) and (4 × 1) LEED patterns, respectively. The two-dimensional band structure of the (2 × 2) system was investigated by angle-resolved PES, and it was found that the film with a (1 × 1) periodicity with respect to the Mo(100) substrate existed in the (2 × 2) system.  相似文献

PrGa0.95Mg0.05O3 was synthesized by a standard solid-state technique, having an orthorhombic structure determined from X-ray diffraction (XRD) data at room temperature. At high temperature, an inflection is found on the Ln σT vs. 1/T curve at about 550 °C. The inflection can also be observed on thermal expansion vs. temperature curve at about 530 °C. Furthermore, the number of Raman modes between 200 and 400 cm?1 decreases and the peak at about 190 cm?1 weakens at about 450 °C. The results indicate a structural transition from orthorhombic to tetrahedral or rhombohedral.  相似文献

This paper reports the results of a time-resolved photoluminescence and energy transfer processes study in Ce3+ doped SrAlF5 single crystals. Several Ce3+ centers emitting near 4 eV due to 5d-4f transitions of Ce3+ ions substituting for Sr2+ in non-equivalent lattice sites were identified. The lifetime of these transitions is in the range of 25–35 ns under intra-center excitation in the energy region of 4–7 eV at T = 10 K. An effective energy transfer from lattice defects to dopant ions was revealed in the – 7–11 eV energy range. Both direct and indirect excitation channels are efficient at room temperature. Excitons bound to dopants are revealed at T = 10 K under excitation in the fundamental absorption region above 11 eV, as well as radiative decay of self-trapped excitons resulting in luminescence near 3 eV.  相似文献
