Kβ/KαX-ray intensity ratios have been measured for various elements between Z = 29 and Z = 79 for incident proton energies of 23.6, 32.1 and 43.6 MeV. The results yield no evidence for a variation in ratio with particle energy.  相似文献

By bombarding various targets with 65 MeV and 40 MeV Nb ions continuous X-ray distributions have been obtained, which range up to the KX-ray energies of quasiatoms woth Z=Z1+Z2. The hogh-energy parts of these continua are interpreted as KX-radiation of quasimolecules transiently formed during the adiabatic heavy-ion atomic collisions.  相似文献

Cross sections have been measured for the formation of tritium in the interactions with Li, Be, B, C, N, O, F, Ne, Na, Mg, Al, Si, P, S, Cl, Ar, Ca, V, Co, As, Y, La, Pr, Tb, Ho and Tl of fast neutrons produced via break-up of 53 MeV deuterons on a Be target (En = 11.5–43.5 MeV; Imax at 22.5 MeV; FWHM = 15.8 MeV). The activation technique in combination with vacuum extraction and low-level gas phase β? counting of tritium was employed. Furthermore, cross sections were measured for isotopes of the elements Ne, Mg, Ar, Ca, Ti, Cr, Fe, Ni, Zn, Ge, Se, Zr, Mo, Pd, Te, Ba, Pr, Dy, W, Tl and Pb by γ-ray spectroscopic analysis of the radioactive reaction products. A comparison of the two sets of cross sections shows that for nuclei with A > 40 the emission of three single particles (lp2n) is much more probable than the emission of a bound tri-nucleon (3H). The cross-section data obtained via tritium counting show that the (n, t) cross sections for the lightest nuclei are exceptionally large, probably due to direct interactions, and the process competes with other modes of de-excitation; for elements with Z > 20, on the other hand, the cross section is low (< 0.25 % ofσn.e.) and practically constant, showing thereby that in the medium and heavy mass regions the probability of emission of a triton is relatively independent of the target nucleus. A comparison of the cross-section systematics at En = 14.6 MeV and for the neutron spectrum described above is presented; the trends are somewhat similar.  相似文献

The production of target atomK-shell X-rays has been studied for 2 to 28 MeV fluorine ions incident on thin solid targets of 14 elements with atomic numbers Z2=22 to 57. Total X-ray production cross sections, energy shifts ofK α andK β lines andK α/K β intensity ratios were measured with a Si(Li) detector. The results of cross section measurements are compared with theoretical predictions of inner shell ionization. In most cases, satisfactory agreement between measured cross sections and theoretical Coulomb ionization cross sections, corrected for the perturbation of the target atom by the projectile charge and for relativistic effects, was obtained.  相似文献

Wavelengths, weighted oscillator strengths and transition probabilities for electric dipole (E1) transitions for some excited levels in neutral lanthanum (La I, Z=57) have been calculated using the multiconfiguration Hartree-Fock (MCHF) method within the framework of Breit-Pauli relativistic corrections. Results obtained have been compared with other calculations and experiments. A discussion of these calculations for La I in this study has also been given in view of the MCHF method.  相似文献

The production ofZ=1 andZ=2 particles associated with neutral pion emission in the16O+27Al reaction at 94 MeV/nucleon has been studied. Results are compared with previous findings obtained by charged pions in the same collision at the same bombarding energy and with the prediction of a dynamical model based on a numerical solution of the Boltzmann-Nordheim-Vlasov equation.  相似文献

The pre-equilibrium exciton model of nuclear reactions is extended to include gamma emission. Possible types of gamma transitions are considered for which densities of final accessible states are derived. Bombardment of cobalt with 42 MeV oxygen ions is seen to produce multiple inner shell electron excitation. and X-rays are measured and compared to Hartree-Fock-Slater calculated energies. We report on the observation of Kαα X-rays of Si, produced in collisions of 15–28 MeV Si projectiles with various target atoms in the range Z = 6 to 29. Intermediate mass fragment cross-sectionsσ(E, θ, 4≤Z≤11) have been measured in the reaction6Li+46Ti at 156 MeV incident energy. A simple sequential binary decay model describes most of theZ>8 data as evaporation from the compound nucleus. The complete fusion cross-section is also well reproduced. An intermediate velocity source model (β=2β CN, T=7 MeV) has been used in order to explain the small angle and Z≤8 data which indicate aZ ?4.1 dependence.  相似文献

Isotopic effects in projectile fragmentation at relativistic energies have been studied with the ALADIN forward spectrometer at SIS. Stable and radioactive Sn and La beams with an incident energy of 600 MeV per nucleon have been used in order to explore a wide range of isotopic compositions. Chemical freeze-out temperatures are found to be nearly invariant with respect to the A/Z ratio of the produced spectator sources, consistent with predictions for expanded systems. Consequences for the proposed interpretation of chemical breakup temperatures as representing the limiting temperatures predicted by microscopic models are discussed.  相似文献

The decay of naturally occurring 138La was investigated using a Ge(Li) detector system. In addition to the 33 keV X-ray, the energies of the two γ-radiations emitted were measured to be 1.436 ± 0.001 MeV and 0.788 ± 0.001 MeV. The partial half-lives of the EC branch to 138Ba and of the β-decay branch to 138Ce were calculated from intensity measurements to be (2.34 ±0.37) × 1011 and (4.7 ± 1.5) × 1011 y respectively.  相似文献

Velocity distributions of heavy residuesA Res>A tar,Z Res>Z tar identified by means ofα spectroscopy, have been investigated at the velocity filter SHIP in reactions20Ne+208Pb at projectile energies E/A=8.6, 11.4 and 15.0 MeV/u. Besides products from complete or nearly complete fusion, characterized by velocity distributions peaking atν/ν CN?0.8–1.0, heavy residues with mean velocities of about half of the compound nucleus velocity were observed. The Z-distribution of this component was found to peak atZ=87. It is interpreted as residues from fusion of target nuclei with projectile fragments produced by nearly symmetric break-up. The experimental results were compared with predictions of theoretical models: cross sections for incomplete fusion were calculated using the sum-rule model of Wilcynski et al., while residue cross sections were calculated using the evaporation code HIVAP. A fair agreement between experimental and calculated mass distributions of heavy residues and transferred projectile fragments is achieved if an energy dissipation of ?23% (at E/A=8.6 MeV/u) and ?8% (at E/A=11.4 MeV/u) of the incident projectile energy is introduced. The observed peak of theZ-distribution atZ=87 is predominantly effected due to a higher fission probability of products withZ>87 during the deexcitation process and experimental limitations in the identification of products withZ≦86 by means of a spectroscopy, which cause a decrease of the observed production rates towards lowerZ.  相似文献

Isospin dependence of dynamical and thermodynamical properties observed in reactions 40Ca+ 40,48Ca and 40Ca + 46Ti at 25 MeV/nucleon has been studied. We used the CHIMERA multi-detector array. Strong isospin effects are seen in the isotopic distributions of light nuclei and in the competition between different reaction mechanisms in semi-central collisions. We will show also preliminary results obtained in nuclear collision 48Ca + 48Ca at 25MeV/nucleon, having very high N/Z value in the entrance channel (N/Z = 1.4). The enhancement of evaporation residue production confirms the strong role played by the N/Z degree of freedom in nuclear dynamics.  相似文献

The high spin states in the N=79 odd–odd 136La nucleus have been investigated by in-beam γ-spectroscopic techniques following the 130Te(11B, 5n)136La reaction at E=52 MeV using an array, consisting of eight Compton-suppressed clover germanium detectors. Thirty nine new γ rays have been assigned to 136La on the basis of γ ray singles and γγ-coincidence data. The level scheme of 136La has been extended above the known 115 ms isomer upto an excitation energy of 4.6 MeV and spin 18. Thirty one new levels have been proposed and spin-parity assignments for most of the newly proposed levels have been made on the basis of the deduced asymmetry ratios and polarisation information for the de-exciting transitions. The observed positive parity yrast band has been compared with the theoretical calculation, done within the framework of particle rotor coupling model (PRM) where the two odd quasi-particles are coupled to an axially symmetric core. The level structure has been discussed in the light of the known systematics of the neighbouring N=79 isotonic nuclei.  相似文献

Angular distributions and integral cross sections for heavy reaction products from84Kr +238U collisions at 522 MeV were measured using catcher foil techniques and off-line X-ray identification of individual reaction product isotopes. There is no evidence for a fission-fusion mechanism being responsible for the formation of the “gold finger”. The data show that usual deep inelastic collisions account for the formation of all products with 70≦Z≦86. Compared to existing data atE≦605 MeV, the deduced mass distribution indicates reduced fission probabilities forZ≧80 fragments at 522 MeV. This is consistent with the expected dependence of fission probability on excitation energy and especially on angular momentum.  相似文献

Lifetimes of the yrast levels with spins I π = 23/2? to 39/2? in 129La produced via the 120Sn(14N, 5n) reaction at a beam energy of 77MeV have been measured by the Doppler shift attenuation method. The properties of the studied levels belonging to the πh11/2 band were compared with the theoretical predictions obtained in the framework of the core quasi-particle coupling model. It is suggested that the rigid-rotor model used to describe the cores is too simplified as the even-even nuclei from the A ~ 130 region are susceptible to shape deformation. Reasonable agreement was obtained with the phenomenological cores based on the experimental data of 128Ba.  相似文献

Out-of-plane correlations between α-particles and projectile-like heavy ions have been measured for the system32S+197Au at ELAB=373 MeV. The angular widths of the correlations range from 24° to 40° (FWHM) depending on theZ of the heavy ion. In the framework of a model calculation these widths are shown to be very sensitive to the outof-plane momentum of the α-particle at emission. It is concluded that only little heating of the reaction partners occurs prior to α-particle emission.  相似文献

Low-lying levels of the 129La isotope have been investigated through the β+/EC decay of 129Ce. The radioactive nuclei were produced in the 94Mo+40Ca reaction at a bombarding energy of 255 MeV and transported with a He-jet system. On-line mass separation was used to select the 129Ce beta-decay γ-γ-t, X- γ- t, e?-t coincidence measurements as well as time multi-analysis were performed. Internal conversion electrons were recorded with a magnetic selector and multipolarities deduced. The level scheme of 129La is discussed and compared with the calculations made in the frame of the neutron-proton Interacting Boson-Fermion Model (IBFM-2).  相似文献

La or Pr substituted barium hexaferrites, Ba1−x(La or Pr)xFe12O19, x=0.00-0.20, were successfully prepared by a citrate combustion process. The sintered bodies were structurally and magnetically studied by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM). All XRD patterns show the single phase of the magnetoplumbite barium ferrite without other intermediate phases. Magnetization (MS) and coercive field (HC) could be improved by substitutions of La or Pr ions on Ba ion basis sites. The MS reveal magnetic behavior with respect to La or Pr ions content, showing an increase at first and then a decrease. The HC increases remarkably with increasing La or Pr ions content.  相似文献
