High spin states in ^80Rb were studied via the ^65Cu ^19F, ^66Zn ^180 and ^68Zn ^160 reactions. The 75-MeV ^19F,76-MeV ^180 and 80-MeV ^160 beams were provided by the CIAE HI-13 Tandem accelerator and the JAERI Tandem accelerator. The prompt γ-γ coincidence and the directional correlation from oriented nuclei (DCO)were measured by the detector arrays in CIAE and JAERI. Twenty-three new states with 28 new transitionshave been assigned to ^80Rb. The states were observed up to spins of 20^ and 22^- in the α= 0 branch for thepositive and negative parity yrast bands respectively. The negative parity non-yrast bands were significantlyextended up to spins of 22^- and 15^-. The band crossings with frequencies 0.51 MeV and 0.61 MeV in the α= 0cascade were observed for the first time. The signature splitting was observed in both negative parity bands. Thesignature inversions at spins of about 7h and 15h were observed. 相似文献

We report on the efficient generation of cold rubidium atoms as a potential coherent atom source for atom lithography. We

We study the transient response dynamics of 87Rb atomic vapor buffered in 8 torr Ne gas through an electromagnetically induced transparency configured in $\varLambda$-scheme. Experimentally, the temporal transmission spectra versus probe detuning by switching on and off the coupling one show complex structures. The transmitted probe light intensity drops to a minimum value when the coupling light turns off, showing a strong absorption. Even at the moment of turning on the coupling light at a subsequent delayed time, the atomic medium shows a fast transient response. To account for the transient switching feature, in the time-dependent optical Bloch equation, we must take the transverse relaxation dephasing process of atomic vapor into account, as well as the fluorescence relaxation along with the optical absorption. This work supplies a technique to quantify the transverse relaxation time scale and to sensitively monitor its variation along the environment by observing the transient dynamics of coherent medium, which is helpful in characterizing the coherent feature of the atomic medium. 相似文献

We propose and demonstrate an alternative method for spectral filtering and frequency stabilization of both 780-nm and 960-nm lasers using a high-finesse length-tunable cavity(HFLTC). Firstly, the length of HFLTC is stabilized to a commercial frequency reference. Then, the two lasers are locked to this HFLTC using the Pound–Drever–Hall(PDH) method which can narrow the linewidths and stabilize the frequencies of both lasers simultaneously. Finally, the transmitted lasers of HFLTC with each power up to about 100 μW, which act as seed lasers, are amplified using the injection locking method for single-atom Rydberg excitation. The linewidths of obtained lasers are narrowed to be less than 1 k Hz, meanwhile the obtained lasers' phase noise around 750 k Hz are suppressed about 30 d B. With the spectrally filtered lasers, we demonstrate a Rabi oscillation between the ground state and Rydberg state of single-atoms in an optical trap tweezer with a decay time of(67 ± 37) μs, which is almost not affected by laser phase noise. We found that the maximum short-term laser frequency fluctuation of a single excitation lasers is at ~ 3.3 k Hz and the maximum long-term laser frequency drift of a single laser is ~ 46 k Hz during one month. Our work develops a stable and repeatable method to provide multiple laser sources of ultra-low phase noise, narrow linewidth, and excellent frequency stability, which is essential for high precision atomic experiments, such as neutral atom quantum computing, quantum simulation, quantum metrology, and so on. 相似文献

We have investigated the spin-dependent quantized magnetic fluxes through the ground-state electronic orbit of the hydrogen
atom. We show that the corresponding fluxes are (1/2)Φ0 for the spin-up case and (3/2)Φ 0 for the spin-down case, respectively, where Φ0 = hc/e is the flux quantum. Using the energy-flux proportionality, we also show that the spin-up case (where the electron spin is
antiparallel to the proton spin, resulting in zero total spin) is the spin-dependent ground state of the hydrogen atom. The

We designed, assembled, and tested a reliable laser system for 87Rb cold atom fountain clocks. The laser system is divided into four modules according to function, which are convenient for installing, adjusting, maintaining, and replacing of the modules. In each functional module, all optical components are fixed on a baseplate with glue and screws, ensuring the system's structural stability. Mechanical stability was verified in a 6.11g RMS randomvibration test, where the change in output power before and after vibration was less than 5%. Thermal stability was realized by optimizing of the structure and appropriate selection of component materials of the modules through thermal simulation. In the laser splitting and output module, the change in laser power was less than 20% for each fiber in thermal cycles from 5 ℃ to 43 ℃. Finally, the functionality of the laser system was verified for a rubidium fountain clock. 相似文献

The dynamical property of a cascade three-level atom is investigated in the condition of atomic motion. The influence of atomic motion on the population and dipole squeezing is discussed. The results show that atomic motion makes the amplitude of atomic population be steady and increasing the parameter εp which denotes the atomic motion and the structure of field mode can shorten the period of collapse-revivals. By choosing an appropriate parameter εp, we can obtain a dipole squeezed atom of long standing. 相似文献
