We obtain the integrable relation for the one-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equations which describes the dynamics of a Bose-Einstein Condensates with time-dependent scattering length in a harmonic potential. The exact one- and two-soliton solutions are constructed analytically by using the Hirota method. Then we further discuss the dynamics of the one soliton and the interactions between two solitons in currently experimental conditions.  相似文献

We derive the Lax pairs and integrability conditions of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation with higher-order terms, complex potentials, and time-dependent coefficients. Cubic and quintic nonlinearities together with derivative terms are considered. The Lax pairs and integrability conditions for some of the well-known nonlinear Schrödinger equations, including a new equation which was not considered previously in the literature, are then derived as special cases. We show most clearly with a similarity transformation that the higher-order terms restrict the integrability to linear potential in contrast with quadratic potential for the standard nonlinear Schrödinger equation.  相似文献

In the paper, a generalized sub-equation method is presented to construct some exact analytical solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations. Making use of the method, we present rich exact analytical solutions of the onedimensional nonlinear Schrfdinger equation which describes the dynamics of solitons in Bose-Einstein condensates with time-dependent atomic scattering length in an expulsive parabolic potential. The solutions obtained include not only non-traveling wave and coefficient function's soliton solutions, but also Jacobi elliptic function solutions and Weierstra.ss elliptic function solutions. Some plots are given to demonstrate the properties of some exact solutions under the Feshbachmanaged nonlinear coefficient and the hyperbolic secant function coefficient.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish exact solutions for five complex nonlinear Schrödinger equations. The semi-inverse variational principle (SVP) is used to construct exact soliton solutions of five complex nonlinear Schrödinger equations. Many new families of exact soliton solutions of five complex nonlinear Schrödinger equations are successfully obtained.  相似文献

We study the spectral problem associated to a Ruijsenaars-type (q-)difference version of the one-dimensional Schrödinger operator with Pöschl-Teller potential. The eigenfunctions are constructed explicitly with the aid of the inverse scattering theory of reflectionless Jacobi operators. As a result, we arrive at combinatorial formulas for basic hypergeometric deformations of zonal spherical functions on odd-dimensional hyperboloids and spheres.  相似文献

To the best of our knowledge, all nonlinearities in the known nonlinear integrable systems are either local or nonlocal. A natural problem is whether there exist some nonlinear integrable systems with both local and nonlocal nonlinearities, and how to solve this kinds of spectral nonlinear integrable systems with both local and nonlocal nonlinearities. Recently, some novel mixed local-nonlocal vector Schrödinger equations are presented, which are different from the single local and nonlocal coupled Schrödinger equation. We investigate the Darboux transformation of mixed local-nonlocal vector Schrödinger equations with a spectral problem. Starting from a special Lax pairs, the mixed localnonlocal vector Schrödinger equations are constructed. We obtain the one- and two- and N-soliton solution formulas of the mixed local-nonlocal vector Schrödinger equations with N-fold Darboux transformation. Based on the obtained solutions, the propagation and interaction structures of these multi-solitons are shown, the evolution structures of the one-solitons are exhibited, the overtaking elastic interactions among the two-breather solitons are considered. We find that unlike the local and nonlocal cases, the mixed local-nonlocal vector Schrödinger equations have some novel results. The results in this paper might be helpful for understanding some physical phenomena described in plasmas.  相似文献

We present a family of exact solutions of the one-dimensional nonlinear Schro dinger equation which describes the dynamics of a bright soliton in Bose-Einstein condensates with the time-dependent interatomic interaction in an expulsive parabolic potential. Our results show that, under a safe range of parameters, the bright soliton can be compressed into very high local matter densities by increasing the absolute value of the atomic scattering length, which can provide an experimental tool for investigating the range of validity of the one-dimensional Gross-Pitaevskii equation. We also find that the number of atoms in the bright soliton keeps dynamic stability: a time-periodic atomic exchange is formed between the bright soliton and the background.  相似文献

We solve the one-dimensional time-independent Schrödinger equation in the presence of the modified Cusp potential and report the solutions in terms of the Whittaker functions. We obtain the reflection and transmission coefficients as well as the bound-state solutions in terms of the Whittaker functions. We comment on the solutions and discuss them in terms of the engaged parameters.  相似文献

An explicit N-fold Darboux transformation with multiparameters for nonlinear Schrödinger equation is constructed with the help of its Lax pairs and a reduction technique. According to this Darboux transformation, the solutions of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation are reduced to solving a linear algebraic system, from which a unified and explicit formulation of N-soliton solutions with multiparameters for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation is given.  相似文献

An integrable Gross–Pitaevskii equation with a parabolic potential is presented where particle density ∣u2 is conserved. We also present an integrable vector Gross–Pitaevskii system with a parabolic potential, where the total particle density ${\sum }_{j=1}^{n}| {u}_{j}{| }^{2}$ is conserved. These equations are related to nonisospectral scalar and vector nonlinear Schrödinger equations. Infinitely many conservation laws are obtained. Gauge transformations between the standard isospectral nonlinear Schrödinger equations and the conserved Gross–Pitaevskii equations, both scalar and vector cases are derived. Solutions and dynamics are analyzed and illustrated. Some solutions exhibit features of localized-like waves.  相似文献

We investigate the phenomena of symmetry breaking and phase transition in the ground state of Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs) trapped in a double square well and in an optical lattice well, respectively. By using standing-wave expansion method, we present symmetric and asymmetric ground state solutions of nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLSE) with a symmetric double square well potential for attractive nonlinearity. In particular, we study the ground state wave function's properties by changing the depth of potential and atomic interactions (here we restrict ourselves to the attractive regime). By using the Fourier grid Hamiltonian method, we also reveal a phase transition of BECs trapped in one-dimensional optical lattice potential.  相似文献

Most of the important aspects of soliton propagation through optical fibers for transcontinental and transoceanic long distances can best be described using the nonlinear Schrödinger equation. Optical solitons are electromagnetic waves that span in nonlinear dispersive media and permit the stress and intensity to stay unaltered as a result of the delicate balance between dispersion and nonlinearity effects. However, this study exploited the Jacobi elliptic method and obtained different soliton solutions of the decoupled nonlinear Schrödinger equation with ease. Discussions about the obtained solutions were made with the aid of some 3D graphs.  相似文献

A new Lax pair of the modified nonlinear Schrödinger equation is introduced in terme of the variable of the Fourier transform λ. The Lax pair has no usual symmetries between 12 and 21 elements and avoids the factor λ1/2. The basic equation of inverse scattering transformation is deduced in the Zakharov-Shabat form as well as in the Marchenko form.  相似文献

We study the nonlinear dynamics of two-component Bose-Einstein condensates in one-dimensional periodic optical lattice potentials. The stationary state perturbation solutions of the coupled two-component nonlinear Schrödinger/Gross-Pitaevskii equations are constructed by using the direct perturbation method. Theoretical analysis revels that the perturbation solution is the chaotic one, which indicates the existence of chaos and chaotic region in parameter space. The corresponding numerical calculation results agree well with the analytical results. By applying the chaotic perturbation solution, we demonstrate the atomic spatial population and the energy distribution of the system are chaotic generally.  相似文献

In this paper we present a representation of quantum Riemann-Hilbert problem of the nonlinear Schrödinger model, from which both the results of direct problem of the quantum inverse scattering method and the quantum Gelfand-Levitan equation can be given. It is pointed out that this method may be extended to any other quantum AKNS-type model.  相似文献

In this paper, the modulation instability(MI), rogue waves(RWs) and conservation laws of the coupled higher-order nonlinear Schr?dinger equation are investigated. According to MI and the2?×?2 Lax pair, Darboux-dressing transformation with an asymptotic expansion method, the existence and properties of the one-, second-, and third-order RWs for the higher-order nonlinear Schr?dinger equation are constructed. In addition, the main characteristics of these solutions are discussed through some graphics, which are draw widespread attention in a variety of complex systems such as optics, Bose–Einstein condensates, capillary flow, superfluidity, fluid dynamics, and finance. In addition, infinitely-many conservation laws are established.  相似文献

We construct analytical self-similar solutions for the generalized (3+1)-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equation with polynomial nonlinearity of arbitrary order. As an example, we list self-similar solutions of quintic nonlinear Schrödinger equation with distributed dispersion and distributed linear gain, including bright similariton solution, fractional and combined Jacobian elliptic function solutions. Moreover, we discuss self-similar evolutional dynamic behaviors of these solutions in the dispersion decreasing fiber and the periodic distributed amplification system.  相似文献

We extend Lou's direct perturbation method for solving the nonlinear Schrödinger equation to the case of the derivative nonlinear Schrödinger equation (DNLSE). By applying this method, different types of perturbation solutions are obtained. Based on these approximate solutions, the analytical forms of soliton parameters, such as the velocity, the width and the initial position, are carried out and the effects of perturbation on solitons are analyzed at the same time. A numerical simulation of perturbed DNLSE finally verifies the results of the perturbation method.  相似文献
