Creation of Entanglement with Nonlocal Operations   总被引:5,自引:0,他引:5
We discuss how to create more entanglement with nonlocal operations acting on two-particle states. For a given nonlocal operation, we find that some input states cannot produce entanglement and some produce the maximal entanglement, and find that any initial entangled states can produce more entanglement than initial product states.  相似文献

The effect of stochastic dephasing on the dynamics of entanglement of qutrit-qutrit states is investigated by using negativity and bound entanglement defined with realignment criterion. From the analysis, we find that the time evolution of quantum free entanglement and bound entanglement depends on the fluctuations of the stochastic variables and the parameters of the particular initial states of concern. Our results imply that some qutrits states display both distillability sudden death and entanglement sudden death, while some states do not display distillability sudden death but onlyentanglement sudden death.  相似文献

We study the entanglement dynamics of two atoms with initial tripartite entangled W-like state in the Tavis-Cummings model. We find that the entanglement evolvement is sensitive not only to the entanglement degree of the initial state but also to the concrete form of the initial state. The so-called sudden death effect occurs only for some initial states.  相似文献

We study when a physical operation can produce entanglement between two systems initially disentangled. The formalism we develop allows us to show that one can perform certain nonlocal operations with unit probability by performing local measurement on states that are weakly entangled.  相似文献

Finding the most robust entangled states during the whole process of decoherence is a particularly fundamental problem for quantum physics and quantum information processing. In this paper, the decoherence process of two-qubit system under two individual identical decoherence channels is investigated systematically. We find that although the robustness of two-qubit states with same initial entanglement is usually different, the Bell-like states are always the most robust entangled states during decoherence. That is to say, affected by the same amount of noise, the remain entanglement of an arbitrary two-qubit state is not more than that of a Bell-like state with the same initial entanglement.  相似文献

We investigate the nonlocal advantage of quantum coherence(NAQC) and entanglement for two spins coupled via the Heisenberg interaction and under the intrinsic decoherence. Solutions of this decoherence model for the initial spin-1/2 and spin-1 maximally entangled states are obtained, based on which we calculate the NAQC and entanglement. In the weak region of magnetic field, the NAQC behaves as a damped oscillation with the time evolves, while the entanglement decays exponentially(behaves as a damped oscillation) for the spin-1/2(spin-1) case. Moreover, the decay of both the NAQC and entanglement can be suppressed significantly by tuning the magnetic field and anisotropy of the spin interaction to some decoherence-rate-determined optimal values.  相似文献

We study the nonlocal correlations and quantum entanglement for two deformed bosonic fields of arbitrary deformation parameters, q 1 and q 2, prepared in an entanglement of deformed coherent states. As a measure of entanglement, we use the von Neumann entropy and investigate its behavior for different strength regimes of the optical fields. We find that the photon number can enhance the von Neumann entropy, and the deformation parameters can restrain the system entanglement.  相似文献

Based on the concept of concurrence, we have investigated the entanglement dynamics of two two-level atoms coupled to a single-mode cavity field with inhomogeneous couplings. We find that, for some initial states, the inhomogeneous couplings not only induce but also enhance the entanglement in the process of its evolution. In addition, considering the intrinsic decoherence proposed by Milburn, we also find that a proper value of inhomogeneous couplings can enhance the stationary entanglement, and as a result, the destructive effect of intrinsic decoherence on entanglement can be moderated by the inhomogeneous couplings.  相似文献

It is a simple introduction to quantum entanglement and quantum operations. The authors focus on some applications of quantum entanglement and relations between two-qubit entangled states and unitary operations. It includes remote state preparation by using any pure entangled states, nonlocal operation implementation using entangled states, entanglement capacity of two-qubit gates and two-qubit gates construction. For a pure non-markovian dephasing model we derive analytic expressions of coherent information, quantum discord, and entanglement. We find that for the cases of the initial Werner states, the dynamical behavior of coherent information is similar to that of quantum discord but different from that of entanglement.Coherent information,as well as quantum discord, can reveal the quantum correlations in some mixed-states,in which the entanglement is zero.  相似文献

Considering the generalized double Jaynes-Cummings model, we examine the entanglement between two non-identical dipole-dipole coupled qubits interacting with two independent detuned vacuum cavity modes. We calculate the negativity as a measure of qubits entanglement. We find that entanglement parameter evolve periodically with time and the period are affected by the model parameters and initial states of qubits. For unentangled initial states the detuning and dipole-dipole interaction affect only the period of entanglement oscillations, not the maximum value of entanglement. For entangled states the detuning stabilizes the entanglement parameter oscillations. According to choice of initial entangled state the dipole-dipole strength is greatly enhances or weakens the oscillations of the entanglement parameter.

We investigate an arbitrary single-qubit state transfer through spin chains with three-site and Dzyaloshinsky–Moriya interactions as well as the quantum discord transfer through double independent spin chains. It is shown that both the three-site and Dzyaloshinsky–Moriya interactions can improve the transfer quality in some cases and the influence of a combination of the three-site and Dzyaloshinsky–Moriya interactions is not simply a linear addition of each contribution. We also find that the three-site coupling may enhance the maximum discord more obviously while the Dzyaloshinsky–Moriya coupling may accelerate the maximum discord more effectively. Furthermore, we show that the quantum discord can always be transferred while the quantum entanglement has a threshold of minimum entanglement to be transferred and may experience entanglement sudden birth and death or even never receive any entanglement for some initial states.  相似文献

The evolution of entanglement decoherence is investigated for a coupled superconducting qubit under non-Markovian environment by utilizing a commensal entanglement degree. The results show that, owing to the memory feedback effect of environment, the entanglement degree of the coupled qubits at the thermal equilibrium always monotonously tends to zero so that entanglement sudden death occurs briefly in the non-Markovian process. Different from the Markovian process, stronger the dissipation is, faster the entanglement sudden death is. We find that, furthermore, the interaction between the qubits results generally in reduction of entanglement degree in the quantum system. With some special initial states or initial phase angles, however, the influence of the interaction between qubits on the system entanglement degree can be avoided.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a study of the entropy growth and degradation of entanglement due to intrinsic decoherence for some different initial states in the multi-quanta Jaynes-Cummings model. We analytically solve the Milburn equation for such JC model. Using an established entanglement measure based on the negativity of the eigenvalues of the partially transposed density matrix we find a very strong sensitivity of the maximally generated entanglement to the amount of decoherence, the multiplicity and the form of the and the initial state. Comparison with different measures of entanglement are made.  相似文献

Entanglement teleportation via one dissipative quantum channel composed by two identical spatially separated atoms in free space is investigated in detail. We mainly study the effects about the channel initial states and the interqubit distance on the entanglement of the output state Cout and the average fidelity F a. It is shown that the magnitude of teleportated entanglement and the average fidelity is strongly dependent on the above factors. For different channel initial states with increasing input entanglement, the teleportated entanglement is zero initially, but at some finite values the teleportated entanglement emerges, and it then increase linearly as these finite input entanglement values are reached. We also obtain that the interqubit distance enhance the teleportated entanglement and the average fidelity peridicly, so we can find a threshold value of the interqubit distance which is most suitable for entanglement teleportation. Meanwhile, the values of the teleportated entanglement and the average fidelity are always zero when the value of the interqubit distance is zero.  相似文献

Two atomic clusters, which have NA and Ns two-level atoms, respectively, are placed in a cavity but separated spatially. There is no direct interaction between the atoms. All the atoms interact with a single-mode of the cavity field. Quantum entanglement between the two atomic clusters is investigated for various initial states of the two atomic clusters and the field. When the cavity field is initially in a Fock state, we find that the time evolution of entanglement quasi-periodically oscillates regardless of the initial states of atoms. The oscillation period increases as the initial photon number increases. When all the atoms in both of the atomic clusters are initially in the excited state, we show that there is no entanglement between the atomic clusters with NA = NB = 1 regardless the initial state of the cavity field. However, when either NA or NB is larger than one, we find that the entanglement always exists even for a strong thermal field. In cases with different initial states of the atomic clusters, we notice that the entanglement becomes stronger as number of the atoms increases. When all the atoms in both of the clusters in the ground state, we also find that the entanglement can be enhanced even by a thermal field. We also notice that a single qubit can be entangled with multi-atoms which are initially in the ground state by the cavity field initially being in vacuum, thermal, coherent, and squeezed states.  相似文献

A key element in the architecture of quantum information processing is a reliable physical interface between fields and qubits. Here, we study the population transfer and entanglement for a two-level atomic system interacting with entangled spin coherent states (ESCSs) considering one- and two-mode interactions. The results show that decrease in the spin number provides a periodic behavior of the entanglement exhibiting the sudden death and birth phenomena. For large values of spin, the atom–field system stabilizes at high value of entanglement during the time evolution exhibiting maximum correlations for both cases of one- and two-mode interactions. Finally, we find an interesting correlation between the entanglement and the population transfer during the time evolution. In particular, we show that the population may be used as an indicator of nonlocal correlations in the system under consideration.  相似文献

We investigate the entanglement dynamics in a bipartite atomic system subjected to thermal environment with arbitrary initial pure entangled states. We consider the atoms close together and study the effect of temperature of the reservoir and the interatomic distance on the evolution of entanglement for both initially entangled and unentangled states. We find that we can have long time entanglement even in thermal environment.  相似文献

Entanglement Transfer Through Arrays of Cavities Coupled by Optical Fibers   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
We propose a scheme of entanglement transfer through two independent arrays of cavities coupled by optical fibers when each of the cavities contains a single two-level atom. We study the entanglement dynamics of the transferred states and find the explicit expression for the density matrix and concurrence. It is shown that the amount of the transferred entanglement has a direct connection with the target states and the lengths of the arrays of cavities. Moreover, the influence of the initial states and the length of the arrays of cavities on the phenomenon of entanglement sudden death is also investigated.  相似文献
