The hyperfine structure, isotope and isomeric shifts in the atomic transition 6p 2 P 3/2–7s 2 S 1/2, =535 nm have been measured for theI=7 andI=2 states of190, 192, 194, 196Tl; theI=1/2 andI=9/2 states of191Tl and the I=7 isomer of188Tl. The thallium isotopes were prepared as fast atomic beams at the GSI on-line mass separator following fusion reactions and — in some cases — subsequent-decay. The nuclear dipole moments, electric quadrupole moments and the change in the nuclear mean square charge radius are evaluated. A transmission γ-ray circular polarimeter has been developed for the measurement of the sign of magnetic moments of radioactive nuclei with low-temperature nuclear orientation. The signs of the magnetic moments were determined for 30h193Os (+), 4.9s191mIr (+), 74 d192Ir (+), 19h194Ir (+) and 4.0 d195mPt (−).  相似文献

The half-lives of the (vi 13/2)2 I π=12+ isomers in190, 192pb were measured asT 1/2 =7.9(4) μs and 1.10(5) μs, respectively. The quadrupole moment and theg-factor of the corresponding state in194Pb were determined toQ=49(3) efm2 andg=?0.167(2) using the perturbed angular distribution method. Additionalg-factor and lifetime information was obtained for a number of isomers in194, 195, 196, 197, 198, 199, 200Pb also involvingi 13/2 neutrons. The results are discussed in comparison to a two-quasiparticle Tamm-Dancoff calculation in the full shell using the surface delta interaction.  相似文献

Two superdeformed (SD) bands have been found in194Tl using the reactions176Yb(23Na,5n) and181Ta(18O,5n). The mass assignments were made from excitation function data. These are the first SD bands found in the mass-190 region that are not in Hg nuclei. The energies of many of the transitions of one of these new SD bands are similar in energy to those in the SD band of192Hg.  相似文献

The high spin yrast states up toJ=20+ in184, 186Pt and190, 192, 194Pt are studied in a microscopic approach of variation with number-conserved projected states. The energy spectra, quadrupole moments andB(E2) values are calculated by employing the Hamiltonian with quadrupole plus pairing interactions. We report here on the measurement of isotope shift and hyperfine splitting of190, 191, 193, 197Pb for the 723 nm atomic optical transition. Detailed analysis of the optical data has been done by combining them with the available muonic and electronicx-ray isotope shift data. The magnetic dipole moments and the electric quadrupole moments of the odd isotopes have been extracted from the hyperfine coupling constants of the atomic states involved in the optical transition used.  相似文献

Three low-lying 8+ states have been identified in 192Pb . A newly observed cascade of $ \gamma$ -rays built directly on the 8+ 1 state is compared to the previously identified, weakly rotational band above the 11- $ \pi$ i 13/2 , h 9/2 isomer in the same nucleus, and to analogous structures in 194Pb . The similarity of all four structures lends support to the suggestion that the 8+ 1 configurations are of a similar oblate deformation to the 11- isomers. The excitation energies of all three 8+ states in 192Pb and 190Pb are compared to systematics. The possibility that one of the 8+ states in 192Pb is associated with a prolate shape is discounted.  相似文献

The low-lying excited states of 194, 196, 198, 200Pb have been studied through the de-excitation γ-rays following the reactions Os(12C, 4n), W(16O, 4n) and Re(14N, 5n). Prompt and delayed spectra, γ-γ coincidences, γ-ray angular distributions and γ-ray time distributions have been obtained. Half-lives were measured for the 12+ level in the four isotopes, for the 9? level in 194, 196, 200Pb, for the 7? level in 200Pb and for the 5? level in 196, 198Pb. The results of microscopic calculations, performed with either a Gaussian interaction or a surface delta interaction, are compared to the experimental level schemes and transition probabilities, and discussed.  相似文献

Alignment additivity of the superdeformed (SD) bands in odd-odd nuclei 194Tl and 196 Bi is investigared with the level spins determined by the Cranking Bohr-Mottelson Model. The alignments of four of the six SD bands in 194Tl can be accounted for from the additive contributions of SD bands of the neighboring odd-proton and odd-neutron nuclei, while that of the SD band 196Bi(1) can not.  相似文献

One-step decay transitions linking the superdeformed (SD) bands 1 and 3 in194Hg to yrast levels are discussed. Inter-band transitions between bands 1 and 3 have also been identified. For the first time, the spin, parity and excitation energy have been determined for two SD bands in the same nucleus. The low excitation energy of the excited band supports the view that it is based on an octupole excitation. It is believed that Porter-Thomas fluctuations play a major role in determining the strength of the one-step transitions as suggested by the fact that only one other SD band has been linked in theA=190 mass region (194Pb) at the present time. When Porter-Thomas fluctuations prevent the observation of one-step or two-step linking transitions, as e.g. in the case of192Hg, the analysis of the quasi-continuous part of the decay-out spectrum provides an alternative method for the determination of the excitation energy and spin of an SD band. Six superdeformed bands of odd-odd nucleus 194Tl in A~190 mass region are studied using the particle-number conserving method for treating the cranked shell model with pairing interactions. Calculated results agree with experiments very well. Based on our calculation the configurations of the six superdeformed bands are assigned and the influence of blocking effects of proton and neutron on moments of inertia is investigated in detail. The variation of moments of inertia with rotational frequency is mainly attributed to the intruder shells (neutron N=7 and proton N=6), whereas the contributions to moment of inertia from other shells remain almost unchanged with rotational frequency.  相似文献

The lifetimes of states in Superdeformed (SD) bands in 192,194Hg have been measured using the Doppler shift attenuation method. Intrinsic quadrupole moments have been extracted for band 1 of 192Hg and for bands 1, 2, and 3 of 194Hg. It was found that the quadrupole moments for the “identical” SD bands in these nuclei are the same. In the same experiment, one-step transitions linking SD states to yrast and near yrast states for bands 1 and 3 of 194Hg have been identified. From this observation, excitation energies, spins and probable parities have been assigned to SD states in these bands.  相似文献

High-spin states in 190Tl have been studied via the 160Gd(35Cl, 5nγ) reaction. The level scheme, consisting of the πh 9/2vi 13/2 oblate band and a cascade with character of single particle excitations, has been established. Spin values have been firmly assigned to the oblate band in 190Tl, resulting in low-spin signature inversion in the πh 9/2vi 13/2 oblate band for the first time. Based on the similarity of the level structure in doubly odd Tl nuclei, spin values for the oblate bands in 192–200Tl should be re-assigned, and a consistent low-spin signature inversion has occurred in these oblate deformed nuclei. The low-spin signature inversion phenomena can be interpreted qualitatively by using the 2-quasiparticle plus rotor model including p-n residual interactions.  相似文献

The odd-mass nuclei 191–197Tl have been formed in a variety of (HI, xn) reactions and studied by in-beam spectroscopic techniques. The decay of the high-spin Pb isomers, also formed in (HI, xn) reactions, leading to 193–197Tl has also been investigated. Evidence is presented for the existence of levels of the previously proposed 92?[505]rotational bands in the nuclei. Tentative evidence is given for the existence of oblate rotational bands, based on the 132+[606] state, in 191–195Tl.  相似文献

The nucleus195Pb has been populated with the184W+16O reaction at 113 MeV. Two dipole γ-ray cascades have been observed using the EUROGAM spectrometer. A comprehensive level scheme related to these structures has been established. Multiparticle configurations are attributed to these high-spin structures from detailed comparison with the neighbouring nuclei,193Hg,194Pb and195Tl. Band crossings due to i13/2 neutron pair breaking are observed in195Pb at about the same frequencies as in the isotone193Hg.

As part of our investigation of the reported anomalous α-decay rates of even-even lead nuclei with A ≦ 192 we have measured the α-decay branching ratio of 188Pb. The isotope was produced in the 180W(16O, 8n) reactions, and its decay properties were investigated with the use of the Oak Ridge on-line isotope separator facility. Gamma-ray and α-particle spectra were measured with the detectors placed in calibrated geometries. From these measurements the 188Pb α-decay branching ratio was determined to be (22 ± 7)%, a value about seven times greater than that available in the literature. This result, together with our recent data for 190Pb and 192Pb, is discussed within the context of α-decay-rate systematics in the lead region.  相似文献

In this study, the excitation functions for the reactions 203Tl(p, n)203Pb, 205Tl(p, 3n)203Pb, 203Tl(p, 2n)202Pb, 205Tl(p, 4n)202Pb, 203Tl(p, 3n)201Pb, 205Tl(p, 5n)201Pb, 203Tl(p, 4n)200Pb and 205Tl(p, 6n)200Pb have been calculated using pre-equilibrium and equilibrium reaction mechanisms. Calculated results based on hybrid model, geometry-dependent hybrid model and cascade-exciton model have been compared with the experimental data.   相似文献

Effects of inelastic multistep processes on (p, t) reactions in a transition region between well-deformed rare-earth nuclei and the double-magic 208Pb have been investigated by the 188Os(p, t) 1860s, 194, 196Pt(p, t)192, 194Pt and 200, 202Hg(p, t)198, 200Hg reactions at Ep = 51.9 MeV. The observed ground 0+, first excited 2+ and 4+ angular distributions together with those for the 206, 208pb(p, t)204, 206pb reactions have been compared with CCBA and DWBA calculations, using transfer form factors based on the Nilsson, vibrational and shell models. It is found that the inelastic multistep processes play a very important role in reproducing both the shapes and magnitudes of the observed first excited 2+ angular distributions, contrasting to small contributions in the ground-state 0+ transitions. The effects of the inelastic multistep processes on the first excited 4+ transitions are also considered to be important.  相似文献

Half-lives of 7? and 12+ states in190, 192Pt and 25/2? states in191, 193Pt were measured with the in-beam direct timing method. Time spectra of conversion electrons were recorded relative to the beam bursts of the Bonn cyclotron. The values forB(E2, 12+ → 10+) in190, 192pt are compared with available calculations for pure (vi 13 2/?2 ) rotation-aligned configurations. The systematics of theB(E2) values within the semi-decoupled negative paraity bands is discussed. An attempt has been made to measure the half-life of the 7? level in188Pt. The still existing inconsistences are briefly discussed.  相似文献
